The cruise ship had finally arrived at its destination. The passengers were taken aback from the island's beautiful sight. The sandy white sand, the crystal blue waters that shimmered beautiful from the sun's rays. The majestic fauna that grew from the island's roots. Everything seems calm and peaceful. A little ironic considering the fact that this peaceful looking place will hold one of the bloodiest tournaments the earth will bear witness to.
"All passengers on board, the ship has finally finished resting, please make your way to the bridge so in order to disembark. Thank you" said the person over the ship's speakers.
Everyone on the ship disembarked and touched land. Some decided to stick around the beach, others decided it would be best to see what was inside the building that hosted the tournament.
"Damn this place is beautiful" said Jack-Guo Qiang. He stepped down on one knee to touch the sand. "It's so soft, it feels pleasant to the touch." he explained to himself. Just then a gush of sand was sprinkled to his face. A damn idiot just ran past him which expelled all of this sandy air.
Once the smoke cleared it revealed William Brando. "Man this sand feels way more better than the sand from back home! I can definitely use this for a good workout." he said smiling as he was running around circles.
Talon Hiragi smiled "At least he's enjoying himself right Liska?" His newly met companion would disagree. "He may be enjoying himself, but he doesn't have to act so childish. Little insect" said Liska Drabek.
Elsewhere on the beach
Antonio Dos Santos was joggling a volleyball with his feet. Thanks to his skills in capoeira, he manages to masterly maneuver the ball around his limbs succeeding in accomplishing a variety of elaborated tricks. Feeling satisfied with his performance, he finally allows the ball to rest between the sole of his feet and the ground and looks at the man who was watching him closely. "Alright, now it's your turn, my friend" he said and kicked the ball to the other competitive fighter.
"See these tricks aren't so hard" smiled Kachi Metsukara. He was able to move the ball around with one foot. Might as well turn this up a notch, Kachi thought to himself.
"Watch this, amigo" he shut his eyes and started to do the same ball tricks with the ball that Antonio did, but with his eyes closed.
Kachi was a practitioner of Capoeira like Antonio. Antonio smirked when Kachi finished his performance. ''This seems like a challenge'', he said with a smile and with that remark, he added: "But, my friend, this is child's play, let us do a real contest to decide who is truly better". The Brazilian had a competitive look in his eyes, he truly wanted to have a fun game with this challenge.
15 minutes later
a total of 6 people was rounded up. A volleyball net was set up in the middle between the 3 players. On Antonio's side there was William Brando and Kaiya Nariko. Kachi had Jack-Guo Qiang and Steve Johnson.
"My new friends, you are bound to lose this match, but let's have fun!" shouted Antonio.
"Really brave of you to say that, Antonio, while the odds are against you, I'm totally going to win since you got Mr. Shorty over there." replied back Kachi.
Angered by the friendly jest, Kaiya jumped high up in the air and smacked the ball very hard to the ground. It almost hit the imposing team's area. "Yeah no short jokes" mentally noted Kachi. The game was on!
Back on the ship
Yaju the assassin was working himself a tan alongside his boss's sister Aimi.
"Why don't we get a tan on the beach Yaju" Aimi said slightly annoyed. She wanted to have fun like the rest of the people on the beach.
"Sweetie the cruise ship is a perfect way to get a tan" "We're closests to the sun, duh" explained Yaju. "Oh yeah your right! You're super smart Yaju" Aimi clinged to Yaju lovingly. The girl was madly in love with him.
"This is also the nicest spot to see the hot ladies," Yaju thought as he looked through his binoculars.
Unfortunately for him he saw a handful of muscular sweaty guys glistening in the sun. He felt like he wanted to barf. "Where the damn chicks" he let out. "What was that?" his girl replied. "I mean where the damn chickens I ordered yeah that's it". Yaju, a deadly assassin, is always quick on his feet and quick thinking as well.
Inside the main Kengan building
"Wow it's so huge!" Terry Jackson said out loud. He's been to underground fighting tournaments before, but this place was massive.
"Hey that's what my wife always said" replied Jerry. Jerry didn't realize what Terry's remark about the building could be translated to. And due to that , some of the overhearing fighters let out a chuckle.
Even the serious Viktor "The Russian Experiment" Miller, couldn't help to smirk. These little dumb momments bring calarity. It reminds them in life that not all things should be taken so seriously.
As the group walked they noticed a large statue of a warrior. Was it just for show? To bring remembrance to a past fighter? Perhaps it was only there for artistic reasons. Regardless the large turkish man of the group did what most tourists do, which was take pictures.
"Hey someone help me take a picture with me and the statue" "I want to send it back to my family back from home." said Oğuzhan Maharret. Another fellow wrestler decided to take him upon his request.
"Alright smile," said Okabe Saburo. The Turkish wrestler held a thumbs up as he smiled. Jerry decided to get into the mix as well. Maharret didn't seem to mind, in fact he liked the company. Other fighters also joined into the pictures as well. Fighters like Maxwell Beckett, Akayama Yuuta and even the cameraman Okabe.
Memories were being created that day, not just any memories. Manly memories,
In beachy waters
While others were out playing games or getting themselves tans, Marco Dos Santos was out predatoring. He was hunting himself some dinner for tonight. He didn't really like the food they were serving, he preferred his food fresh as can be.
He was far away from the beach. He was in the deep end. "Alright what am I in the mood for today?" he thought underwater. He searched around. Fish, no it gives him bad breath, octopus maybe. Suddenly something swam past him from behind. He turned around and saw nothing. Must be his wild imagination he thought to himself. Before he could swim backup to get some air, a large great white shark was swimming towards him.
"Guess I know now what I'm eating for dinner" he smirked.
Sunset
The volleyball warriors were still out playing. "Those idiots don't know when to quit, they've been playing for hours!" all their respective bosses thought to themselves. They had an upcoming fight tomorrow yet they really want to see who's best in some sort of game. I guess being competitive was natural for those players involved. They only wished they could just finish their game soon.
As luck would have it, Qi Ling stumbled on to the scene. Being drunk again he got him tangled onto the volleyball net, finishing the game with a tie.
A huge sigh of relief was expelled from the bosses. They can finally go back to their rooms.
Night time
The night air was fresh, everything seemed to be enhanced by night. The stars shine brightly and the calm waves were splashing around so smoothly. Most everyone went to bed in order to sleep well for the upcoming fights so there really shouldn't be anyone up. At the dead of night however, Cassius White, "The Shaman" has appeared onto the sandy beaches. He set up a fire and whispered a magical prayer. He was doing this to give luck with the upcoming battles he was going to endure. These upcoming fights are going to be legendary. Losses and wins are part of the game. He only hoped that everyone could come out of this in one piece.
White stared into the ocean. These thoughts only replayed itself in his head. Over and over again. He then saw a large man carrying a deceased shark on his back.
"Oh nice you got a fire started." "You wanna share and eat dinner with me?" The Predator explained. The Shaman only smiled at the man's request. This shark will be their dinner.
