Jinglebells852: Here's to hating people who are intentionally racist indeed.
YAYSOLANGELO: Cool, thanks.
This website seems to be messing up. I get emails saying that someone's reviewed this story, but when I check, it's still just Jinglebells852 and YAYSOLANGELO. Really weird. Also, I did not expect this story to last this long, let alone get more than a hundred reviews.
Song for the chapter: Run! by Toby Fox
I own nothing.
Harry
"Expecto Patronum!"
Percy tried again for the 17th time. This time, a black horse came out.
"Finally!" he exclaimed, "Jeez, that took a while."
"I think I got it, Harry!" Seamus yelled, who had believed Harry ever since the interview. "Ah, it's gone … but there was definitely something there!"
A silver otter suddenly flew around Harry, and then went to Percy. It was Hermione's.
"They are sort of nice, aren't they?" she said, looking at her patronus fondly.
Suddenly, the door of the Room of Requirement burst open. Harry didn't see anyone there, and suddenly felt something tug on his robes. It was Dobby.
"Hi Dobby!" he said. "What are you - what's wrong?"
Dobby kept quivering. "We house-elves have been told not to tell, but she - she - "
"She?" Harry asked. "Who's 'she,' Dobby?"
Dobby couldn't seem to get the words out, but Harry thought he knew what he meant.
"Umbridge?"
Dobby nodded.
Harry turned to the others. "Well what're you waiting for? Run!"
Everyone quickly ran, Percy was staying at the entrance, making sure everyone got out. He looked out to where Umbridge and some Slytherin students were coming and quickly slowed them down by forming some ice around their feet and blinding them with what looked like boiling water in their eyes.
Suddenly, Harry, who was trying to keep Dobby from hurting himself, was picked up with Dobby in his arms on a stream of water in the air. Suddenly, a window appeared in the Room of Requirement, large enough for a horse. Percy whistled, and the pegasus from the Care of Magical Creatures class flew through.
"Blackjack, poop on them," he told the pegasus. The pegasus apparently called Blackjack flew over to Umbridge and the Slytherins and proceeded to excrete waste on them. It then kicked them all across the hall.
"I need a tunnel to the Gryffindor common room." Percy said. Suddenly, a tunnel appeared in the room. He, Harry, and Dobby went through the tunnel, and Percy blocked it up. Harry heard the frustrated screaming of Umbridge and the Slytherins.
After a couple of minutes, they found themselves in the Gryffindor common room. Hermione and Ron were waiting for them.
Hermione saw them. "Harry! Percy! Where were you? What happened?"
Percy explained what happened and what he did with the room, but Umbridge came in shortly, holding a first year Gryffindor by the shoulder. She pushed the first year away, and pointed at Percy and Harry.
"You two, come with me."
She looked great. At least, in Harry's perspective. Her face was covered with red mark's from the water, and the skin that was shown through the holes in her shoes seemed to be a bit blue from the ice. Harry wondered how cold it was and how long she was in it. Her face was caked with brown from the poop, and several areas of her skin seemed red from Blackjack. It seemed as though Blackjack had taken another step further and decided to lightly step on her. And Harry wasn't sure, but the wet spots on her seemed to be pegasus pee.
She took them to Dumbledore's office, glaring at them both.
"Fizzing Whizbee," she sang. The gargoyle jumped aside and let them in. Suddenly, Harry couldn't move, and his body became engulfed in cold. toad woman looked at them and gasped. Harry realized he could move his eyes, his glasses acting as a shield. He and Percy were covered in ice. He saw Percy, who looked as though he was afraid of toad woman, and seemed to be trying to point at her. Her wand seemed to be pointed at them, and Harry was stuck wondering why Percy would freeze them.
"Dolores!" it was Fudge. He was looking at her in horror. "What is this?"
It was then Harry realized. Percy was trying to frame toad woman. He looked closer, and saw little droplets of water holding toad woman's wand at them. By doing that and looking scared, Percy was making it look like toad woman had attacked them.
Fudge pointed his wand at them. "Incendio!" Warmth flooded his body and he was out of the ice.
"What happened?" he asked. Harry knew Fudge wasn't the biggest fan of his, but Percy was American, and if word got out that a Ministry official attacked the new transfer, that would indeed be a stain on the Ministry's reputation.
Percy answered. "I don't know." he gestured to toad woman, "she just pointed her wand at us and we froze."
Fudge turned to toad woman. "Dolores, is this true?" Percy snapped his fingers toad woman's face suddenly changed, and there seemed to be mist surrounding her. "You're damn right I did, and I'll do it again! These two boys have undermined me for the final time and it's time they were taught their place! Believe me, Fudge, I have done more behind your back than you even know! I was the one who paid Skeeter to write those articles about Potter and Dumbledore last year, and what has it done? It's helped your reputation, so stop whining you damn child!"
Her expression suddenly changed to the same snotty, stuck up Ministry official that Harry knew.
Fudge stared at her. "Umbridge, you're fired." toad woman stared. "Fired? But, Cornelius, I have been nothing but loyal to you ever since - "
Fudge glared at her. "You heard me, you lying, little toad. I'll also have a word with the Prophet to not hire you. You'll be here until I find someone else for your job, but then you're out."
She walked away, looking quite hurt.
Fudge looked at Harry a bit more softly than he had before. "Come on, you two."
Harry looked at Percy when Fudge left. "What was that?"
Percy grinned. "A last ditch effort to rid Hogwarts of evil toads."
Fudge was avoiding Dumbledore's face when they came in. "Well, Dumbledore, I have just been informed that Umbridge has been lying to me and paid Skeeter to write those articles, so I was wrong about some of what has happened these last couple
Dumbledore didn't show surprise very much, and this was one of the rare occasions he did. He glanced at Percy as if he had known what he had done, but quickly answered Fudge. "Well, that is … fortunate."
Fudge's face quickly hardened. "But that is not why I am here. I am here because young Marietta here," he gestured to a girl from the DA who was covering her face with a scarf, "has informed me that illegal Defense lessons have been taking place at your school."
Dumbledore smiled, as if this was what he was expecting.
"Yes, but this was to be the first one."
Fudge's eyes narrowed. "What?" he turned to Marietta. "Was there any before now?"
She shook her head. Fudge looked even angrier. "Either way, you were intending to undermine me!"
Dumbledore smiled. "Indeed."
Fudge smiled as though it were Christmas. "Dumbledore, you will now be sent to Azkaban!"
"Well," said Dumbledore, "I don't believe so."
Before Fudge could respond, Fawkes flew down, and in a flash of light, Dumbledore disappeared.
Sorry if the ending seemed a bit rushed. That's because it was. Dam school. Also, yes, Percy used the Mist. Though, now, it's kinda gonna be hard because it's getting way more AU. I've always wondered why they didn't use the Room of Requirement better when toad woman was coming.
Please remember to review and have a nice day!
