Hey guys, just a quick reminder to let you all know that from this chapter onwards it's going to switch between the bush and the bay, so just bear with me as much as you can.

(10:15pm) 8 hours and 12 minutes later…

In the Middle of the Bush – Crash Site

Everyone was asleep, except for both Colby and Bianca. Bianca walked over to where Colby was sat on a log beside the fire playing with a leaf that had fallen from a tree.

Sitting down beside her friend, quietly Bianca says: "It's a miracle you know."

"What's that?" Colby asks her as the fire crackles beside them.

"The fact that we are even sitting here, that we all got okay. Including Kyle, with everything he has wrong with him in terms of his health." Bianca says to him as she thinks back on the past couple of days since they crashed.

"Well, Belle has a busted arm and your wrist."

"Yeah but we both know it could have been a lot worse Colby."

"Yeah, I guess we had to get lucky at some stage, huh?"

Bianca smiles as he says that: "Are you thinking about Willow and Dean?"

"Not as much as I think you are thinking about Heath."

"That obvious?"

"He's going to be ok. I mean look at Kyle for example, the Braxtons all have this one thing in common."

"What's that?"

"It's what everyone who knows them a long time likes to call the 'stubborn Braxton gene' as they are as stubborn as each other."

Bianca quietly laughs at that statement: "I suppose your right. Kyle being stubborn might actually help us get him home to Brax in one piece."

"See there's some hope at the end of all this."

Bianca's smile starts to fade as Colby says that to her: "That's what I keep telling Kyle, but I don't even think I believe that anymore."

"How do you mean?"

"Well, we've been missing for days Colby. I bet everyone is probably thinking the worst meaning they might stop looking for all of us."

"Bianca, you can't let it get to you as well, it's bad enough that lot are starting to think like that, but we do need some people to keep having hope."

"I know I said it's a miracle, but if you think about everyone at home, they must be going crazy with worry." Bianca tells him "I mean first the whole issue with Tyson the week before the wedding, then the fire and Peter's death. They've probably scaled back the search by now, and don't say you don't believe what I'm saying as you're a cop, so you know how this works."

"It's true I'm a cop, but you don't know that after all it's only been a couple of days." Colby reminds her.

"Oh, come on Colby. We'll be lucky if they haven't called off the search altogether."

"You can't think like that Bianca, as I said it's bad enough this lot are thinking that already. Didn't you make a promise to Kyle that we'd all get home yesterday?" Colby points out to her "We're alive at the end of the day and that means we have a chance of getting out of here Bianca. Also, right now that's the only thing that matters. Obviously, other than making sure Kyle doesn't get any worse before he runs out of medication. Right?"

"Right." Bianca says nodding her head as she does even though she too is secretly giving up hope like the rest of them.

Day 4 – Since Chopper went missing – (3:01am) 4 hours and 46 minutes later…

Summer Bay – Tony and Rachel's House – Kitchen

While Colby was trying to reassure Bianca that they were going to make it home, Rachel was currently in the kitchen of her and Tony's house searching for another bottle of wine.

Suddenly she knocks the glass off the bench and it smashes on to the floor.

The noise in turn has Tony heading into the kitchen with a baseball bat in case someone had tried to break in.

"Jesus Rachel." Tony said as he saw his wife.

"It's just me Tony." Rachel tells him then goes on to ask, "Why do you have a baseball bat?"

"I thought someone was trying to break in."

"Nope, the glass fell of the bench." Rachel informs him as she tries to clean it up.

"Rach, it's 3 o'clock in the morning you should be asleep not trying to have another glass of wine." Tony says putting the bat down then going to help his wife "You can't stay awake forever."

"No, I'm alright."

"No, you're not alright. You need a good night's sleep."

"No, no I can't. I can't close my eyes because every time I do, I see them all leaving the hospital then the chopper crashing and them all dead."

"Rach, don't do this to yourself."

"No, driving up to the city wasn't good enough. No, I had to make a big deal and get them a helicopter." Rachel sobs as she starts to try and pick the glass pieces back up again.

"No, this isn't your fault." Tony reminds her knowing it wouldn't make much difference "It's not helping them and it's definitely not helping you."

"Look, I've said I'm alright."

"Here, let me clean it up."

"No, no, no I want to do it."

"Rachel, look at yourself. Let me do it." Tony stated to his wife.

"I'm fine." Rachel says slightly raising her voice.

Grabbing the new glass, she had put the wine into and the bottle itself, Rachel stands up and leaves the room. Tony just watches her head towards the guest room knowing it was pointless to follow her, instead he went about cleaning the glass up before one of his kids stood on it later.

(9:13am) 6 hours and 12 minutes later…

Summer Bay – Yabbie Creek – Northern Districts Hospital – Heath's Room

Cassie was stood beside Heath's hospital bed talking when Sally came wandering in.

"Right, we're good to go Cass." Sally tells her daughter after sighing the discharge papers "Have you got everything?"

"Yeah." Cassie replies as she watches Sally pick up her bag then says to Heath "I'll see yah."

"Yeah." Heath replies just as Cassie gives him a hug "Take it easy and don't let her lift a finger."

"Don't you worry about her; you just get better yourself." Sally reminds him which earns a nod from Heath.

With that Sally leaves the room carrying Cassie's bag as she goes. Cassie just watches her leave then sighs as she puts her hands on her hips while looking at Heath.

"Go on, I'll talk to you later." Heath says to her.

"Ok." Cassie says in defeat "See yah."

With that, she too leaves the room and goes after Sally. As she leaves Heath just watches the doorway as he holds his waist, with his hand placed carefully on the place where the stiches and bandage was located.

Once the sound of their feet had disappeared, Heath turned away from the door and looked at his hand which had his wedding ring on. He started to play with it as he thought about his wife and then his younger brother and how they must be feeling.

(9:50am) 37 minutes later…

Summer Bay – Tony and Rachel's House – Dining Room/living room

Tony was sat at the table drinking a cup of coffee when Rachel wandered into the room with the empty bottle of wine and glass in her hands.

"Rach, why don't you go to bed?" Tony says knowing she probably didn't sleep after he last saw her.

Placing the glass in the sink, Rachel replies: "What? So, I can watch the room spinning round?"

She then puts the empty bottle in the bin and grabs a mug so she can make some coffee.

"No, so you can get some sleep. You'll probably feel a lot better if you do." Sighing Tony says to her.

"I wouldn't bet on it."

"Rachel, you need to stop." Tony tells her.

"No, what I need is a coffee." Rachel replies just as there's a knock at the door.

Looking towards the door, Alf was standing in the doorway waiting to be let in.

"Come in Alf." Tony says to his friend.

"Thank you." Alf replies then walks over to Rachel in the kitchen "Look, I don't mean to barge in, but I just wanted to apologise for what I said yesterday."

Rachel continues making her coffee as Tony watch his friend and wife.

"The accident, wasn't your fault and I never should've blown my stack like that." Alf lets Rachel know.

"No, no I deserved it." Rachel says as she finishes making her coffee.

Looking at the doctor confused, Alf says: "No you didn't"

"Alf, they're all dead because of me. You had every right to say what you did."

"No, I didn't and I didn't mean it. It was just one of those spare of the moment things. I don't want you blaming yourself."

"Alf, I really appreciate you coming round but you had absolutely nothing to apologise for." Rachel says then picks up her coffee and leaves the room.

Meanwhile…

Middle of the Bush – Crash Site

Colby was helping Bianca to sort the breakfast rations out as Ryan was sorting the fire pit out.

While they were sorting breakfast, Bianca had started to talk about her sister as she was also worrying about what April must be going through right now.

"April's going to be fine you know Bianca, she's strong just like her sister." Colby tells her as he holds on to the box they were using as a tray "I mean I know none of this is going to be easy, but she'll get through it."

Finishing breaking up the bars of granola they were having, Bianca replies: "I know she is but not only has she lost me, but she's also lost her boyfriend too."

Placing the box on the ground, Colby reminds Bianca: "She's got a lot of people around her, Irene and even Heath now. You're just going to have to trust that they'll look out for her."

"Can we have something to eat or what?" Belle says suddenly interrupting the pair.

"Guy's do you all want something?" Bianca asks them all as she stands up with breakfast in her hand.

Everyone but Kyle gets up and walks over to the woman.

"What's this?" Belle asks when she sees what they were having.

"Breakfast." Bianca replies.

Not liking the response, Belle started to complain for the first time since they had been out here: "Your kidding? I'm starving."

"We're all getting hungry Belle." Rocco says trying to keep the peace.

"Yeah." Xavier starts to speak "We don't need you whining about it."

Turning her head, Belle retorts: "I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to her."

"Why doesn't everyone just calm down?" Ryan suddenly says to them all.

Wanting to not start the first argument over food, Bianca calmly says: "Belle, we've got a few bits and pieces left. It's not much and we need to make it last."

"And what happens when the food runs out?" Belle asks calmly.

Bianca doesn't reply to that question, so Belle just grabs her bit of the breakfast and walks back over to Kyle.

"I'm going to go check on the water." Xavier says as he walks off to where they had stored the water.

Everyone watches as he moves away not knowing what to say as the insects and birds make noises somewhere in the distance all around them.

Rocco decides to go check on Xavier to make sure he was doing alright.

"Hey, are you alright mate?" Rocco asks him.

"Yeah, I'm ok." Xavier replies as he sorts the water out "I actually managed to get some sleep last night."

"Well I guess that makes two of us." Rocco says causing them both to laugh.

"I never thought I'd say this but I really wish Marilyn was here right now."

"Oh god, she would have packed everything in case something like this happened to her."

"She nearly tried with me, but I told her I'd only be gone a couple of hours and so did both April and John. I really wish I hadn't stopped her now."

"Xav, you couldn't have known this was going to happen."

"I know that, but Marilyn just likes to make sure me and Jett are prepared for everything only this time she was stopped from attempting to do that."

"Well, when they find us you can tell her that she was always right." Rocco laughed.

"I might I do that. Anyway, how are you doing?"

"I'm ok. I know Cassie will have Sally looking after her and the baby, so it gives me some comfort. However, I am worried about my brother."

"Why? What's going on with him?"

"Well the last time I saw him, he still didn't know whether or not he was going to lose his arm and he kept blaming himself for Peter's death."

"I'm sure his arm will be fine and why does he think it's his fault?"

"Well, he's got it into his head that if he hadn't been in the gang when he was younger, then Tyson wouldn't have come after him which would mean that both Adrienne and Peter weren't now dead." Rocco replies to his friend's question.

"That's just stupid. Tyson had his own mind and Johnny couldn't have done anything to change it either."

"I know that, but he doesn't." Rocco states.

"Well, he has Sally and Ricky to help him see that it isn't his fault, so don't worry he'll be fine too." Xavier tells him then goes back to sorting the water out with Rocco just stood watching him.

Back near the fire that was no longer burning, Bianca was trying to get Kyle to eat something.

"What's the point Bianca?" Kyle asks the woman "I mean, here we are trying to keep surviving in the middle of dead man's land, when all our families and friends back home are probably thinking we are dead."

"Because Kyle, you need to keep your strength up so that when they do find us." Bianca says which gets a laugh from Kyle "When they do find us, we will be able to say look we survived out here because we knew you'd find us all."

"Just stop Bianca. Even I can tell you don't believe that, so please don't try and convince me of it." Kyle ended as he took the piece of food Bianca was offering him and started to eat it.

Knowing it was pointless trying to say anything else to him, she got up and moved away, leaving Kyle to just sit there and stare at nothing in particular.
