That guy, without even saying he could make anyone bow before him. He wore sunglasses, but I could see a fire burning inside his eyes, and not in that passionate about something way, literal fire inside his eyes. If you focused on them you could feel the anger, those flickers of fire fighting a battle between themselves, I knew exactly who he was.
"Lord Ares," Annabeth said and bowed, and we all followed suit.
"You mortals with your manners. Always weaklings, say bad things about one another not even face to face. Haha She is snooty oh he is dumbo,"
"I didn't mean when I said you were stubborn Annabeth," Percy said
"After I have saved your life, you call me stubborn, well ther is not any d*** such as you"
"Hey I said I didn't mean it" Percy said
"But I did mean it A**"Annabeth snapped
"You wanna fight "Percy said
"Yeah sure another victory wouldn't be bad"
Annabeth and Percy picked their weapons.
"Guys stop it!" Marion interrupted
I looked at Ares
"Well you Mortals take so much time to pick up your weapons, I was getting to that,"
"Lord Ares, Why have you come?"
"Well, I thought you were really as smart as she says,"
"My Mom?"
"Lord Ares, can you just tell Zeus, that Percy isn't the Lighting Thief," Marion said
" It's not my job to carry words of some slimy weak demigods. And I am gonna give you a Golden Opportunity"
"What?" I said
"Attitude? Well look here's the deal, I went out on a date in The Water Park near here, you see, with my Girlfriend. I left my shield in there. I want you punny demigods to get it for me,"
"Look, we don't have time for that. We're on a tight schedule," Percy said.
"Well, as I said a deal means return also,"
"Can you elaborate it?" I said
"I'll arrange for your transport to the west your next destination,"
"It's alright we'll manage Thank you for stopping by," I said
"Don't despair boy... Zeus sent good ones to find the Bolt- Apollo, Athena, Artemis and then he sent me. If I couldn't smell that weapon off, you haven't got a chance. I was the one who told his dad that Hades stole it" Ares pointed towards Percy
"But!"
"Yeah I know, but a little bit of rivalry is not gonna be bad"
"You wanted War didn't you"
"Of course I did"
"We are not gonna do your task" Percy said
"Of Course you will, wouldn't you if I'll tell you NEWS about your Mother"
"My mom? Is she alive"
"Do the task get the answer. Nothing for free"
"We'll do it" I said
Annabeth nodded, "Yeah"
"Well meet you if you make it" Ares said and then he went away
"We need to split"
"3 of you get the pearl I 'll get the shield"
"No" Annabeth said, she continued "I think it's equally dangerous to get the Shield. Hephaestus' traps aren't gonna be easy to surpass"
"What do you mean?"
"Ares' Girlfriend is Aphrodite, who happens to be Hepheastus' wife, so Hephaestus sets traps for them,"
"Um Okay"
"I'll get the pearl since I'll be able to climb" Marion said
"I'll go with the shield," I said
"Who wins will go with shield " Annabeth said and then Percy and Annabeth started Rock Paper Scissors
Apparently Annabeth won
"Daughter of strategy, of course I was gonna win"
So , Annabeth and I walked down towards-"Water Land"
She stopped
"There's the shield c'mon let's get it" I said
"Wait!"
"Wait what?"
"Hephaestus must have left some traps, that's why Ares sent us"
"Dont be Crazy"I said
Apparently, she was right.
