Chapter 24-the battle field

I looked towards to windows, which were the only source of light in the room I was in. The sun was almost breaking Cybertron's horizon, which ment it was time to go. As I got up and left the room I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness shoot through my spark, what kind of monster had my once peaceful and loving Rainjet been turned into under Megatron's influence? Would her sparkmate still remember all the memories and love that we shared before this stupid and idiotic war? Would she still posses our connection that was created when we became sparkmates? I couldn't be sure anymore, all that I was sure of now was that Rainjet and I had chosen sides, sides that were sworn enemies on the battle feild.

I took one last look at the briefing room, depending on the state of mind I was in when I got to see Rainjet for the first time in many stellar cycles I might not live to see it again. I sighed and left the doorway to meet up with the others before we left.

Jogging down the corridor I noticed other bots had my state of mind, some were looking at the place in the base where they slept and others were talking with their friends getting good looks at their faceplates incase they were killed in action.

Before I went to and joined the others to leave, I went to my dorm room to pick up my swords. When I picked them up they reminded me of when I'd first got them as a gift for my 17th birthday from my creators, my carrier had been over joyed that I'd liked them. "I miss you guys" I said in a whisper running my digits over the smooth surface of the blade before I put them into the case on my back, and leaving to join the others.

I walked through the winding corridors for a while until I got to the bay where Optimus had directed the little forces that were stationed at this outpost to go to. "Come on where are you guys?" I thought scanning the room for Bee and Arcees familiar faceplates, we'd been stationed here together after being drafted a couple of stellar cycles ago. "Found you!" I thought when I finally saw Arcee talking with Bumblebee and her partner Tailgate amits everyone in the crowded room.

I had to be careful making my way over to them because there were so many people jammed into one small room that it was hard to not accidentally hurt someone when you were walking past them. "Hey guys hows it going?" I said when I finally reached them "Its going pretty well" Arcee said "I wish we weren't going on a mission" Bumblebee said sighing "Nobody does, but we've gotta do it" Tailgate said with a chuckle turning to Bumblebee.

"What do you think Optimus' words of encouragement are going to be this time?" I asked the three bots in front of me, "Who knows" Arcee said "Probably something about we stand together and we'll fight together until no con stands" Tailgate said "Speaking of speaking" he added. "Great transition" I said sarcastically, Tailgate just smiled in response before turning his attention to Arcee "What do you think our mission is going to be about this time?" He asked the femme "I dont know but I'm sure we'll get filled in before we leave" she said.

Optimus stepped out onto the bays floor, parting the crowd as he walked through it to give his pep talk to every waiting crowd.

"Oh boy here we go" I thought as he began speaking, I respect Optimus a lot, but most of his speeches and pep talks were way too long winded for me so like always I was going to tune him out until he was done.

"Autobots partner off with you're partners, Once you have load yourselves onto the ships. And may the Primus be on our side" Was the only thing I heard him say. Bee and I looked at eachother "You ready to go partner?" I asked him "Yeah let's do this!" He said to me and we got ready to board our ship with Arcee and Tailgate.

"I cant believe we're actually going to do something other than scouting today!" I said to Bee once we'd boarded the cargo ship "Me too, it'll be nice to finally see some action".

Even though I was listening to him I didnt respond to Bumblebee's comment about getting to kick some Con's tailpipes, I just didnt feel like my spark was in the ship though my body was sitting next to Bee. I was lost in thought again thinking about the emotion that I would have to hide when I saw Rainjet again, would I be able to hold back tears? Or even worse happiness? She was my enemy after all and I didnt know what would come over me.

"Hello, Cybertron to Twinwave. You all there Twinwave?" Bee said a little concerned "Yeah I'm here Bee" I said snapping out of it "I guess I just got lost in thought", which was true I just didnt specify what it who I was thinking about. "Well that's good becuase an anoumcent said we're almost at the drop sight, you and me plus two more teams of scouts are supposed to go a head of everyone and scout the area" he said, he sounded disappointed that we were gonna have to scout before combat again.

"Cheer up Bee, at least we'll get to see the Cons big mining plan before everyone else" it was basically the only good thing about being a scout, you got to see what kind of scrap the Cons were up to before the rest of the troops.

"Parachutes should be equipped now becuase we are dropping in t-minus 1 minute" the pilot said. "You ready to do this?" I asked Bumblebee as I bucked my parachute onto my back, being careful not to cut it with the blades of my swords. " Not in the slightest" he said grinning.

The hatch of the cargo ship opened and one of the generals stood up "EVERYBODY OUT!" he yelled over the wind, Bee grabbed my servo and made a running jump for hatch. We dove out of the ship together "NICE OF YOU TO DRAG ME ALONG!" I yelled over the wind, he just smiled before he pulled his cord letting his parachute unfurl above him I followed suit and soon we were sailing through the air towards our drop sight.

Somewhere in the Decepticon mine
POV: Reader

A rush of adrenaline filled the femmes head as she hacked away into the Autobots mainframe, for some reason they had super weak defences surrounding their classified information.

She had to put both servos to her temple as the wave of adrenaline hit here, it hurt like a fragger becuase she wasn't doing anything that needed it.

"So then why am I getting one?" She thought to herself "I've been stuck doing hacking since the beginning of this dumb mining operation, I'm one of Megatrons best fighters yet I'm stuck babysitting". Then it hit her, "That cant be right, theres no way shes anywhere near me. Unless-" unless her sparkmate was in the area "A perfect time to get myself out of the coding room and the Decepticons a hostage"

"Soundwave, we're going to need back up. There's Autobots in the area" she smiled, this was going to be a perfect time to cause some damage.
