Avengers Tower, New York

This was strange. There was no other adjective for it.

In front of her stood a walking Android, with Jarvis's programing, skin tissue from Doctor Cho's Cradle, brought to life by Thor's powers, and the mind of the wand's stone.

This all started when she and Bruce came back from the farm to Tony and Clint having gotten the cradle and body from Ultron. They had been discussing about the body, stone, and creating the Ultron that they had originally planned for before the failure. That is when Thor had arrived. He had sources that say this is a step the right way. It was heart warming for Tony when Thor said he trusts him to know how to prevent the same mistake happening again. Especially since he is no longer under the spell. That being settled, they started working on it together.

Clint was working on looking for Nat. Tony had tried to chase after her but Ultron had her by the throat and they knew the rule in such situations. They will track her down, which would point out where they need to head. Steve was in Seoul with Pepper, who had come from Australia to help Helen. She will stay with Helen until the danger is over.

Just as they were almost done with the upload to complete, they had surprise guests. Steve came inside with the twins, and asked Tony to stop what he had been doing. An argument had started, espeically when Bruce asked if Steve was sure he hadn't been put under a spell again. It was escalating now and she decided a stall was required. Seeing the fast one start to unplug things, before the glass floor under him had shattered, sending him below where Clint had his gun pointed at him.

Dara had quickly looked at the screen to see he had been too late to stop them, and they needed a stall to allow for replugging the power line. Going around, she came to stand between Steve and the cradle. It made him pause in his move to throw his shield at Tony's equipment. When he called her name in confusion, Bruce had been plugging in the power source, and Thor was lighting up with his hammer. The witch had pushed the pipe from Bruce's hands, which was a really stupid move on her part. He roared at her, Hulk making his eyes emerald green with rage. Thor distracted all of them by hitting the power of his lightening into the cradle.

And now here she was looking at the android that reacted by attacking Thor. After a bit of struggle, in which she found herself pushed behind Steve, Thor threw the android away from the lab. It stopped right as it reached the glass window, looking at the city.

"Everyone, back off now." she commanded before going around Steve and over to the android. Thor was near her.

The android turned around in its floating form. "I'm sorry, that was...odd." He looked to Thor. "Thank you."

"Thor, you helped create this?" Steve asked, not understanding why Thor did this when he was so angry at Tony for making Ultron.

"It was a team decision we made after a lot of discussion, Steve." He looked to Dara when she explained that this wasn't just Thor or Tony doing their own thing again. His shoulders were still tensed, but not as much.

"You were in Seoul, Nat had just been taken, we needed to turn the cradle we had taken into an advantage. Because we can't beat Ultron on our own." Bruce explained his reasoning this time round.

"I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life and at it's center is that." he pointed to the stone. "Dara had piqued a concern in me when she read the wand and headpiece, I had gone to search for the answer. After the vision from the spell, my search led me to the answer. It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones, the greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities."

"And you awoke it because…" Steve queried.

"Because Stark and Banner are right." Thor stated. "The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron."

"Not alone." added the android.

"Why does your vision sound like Jarvis?" Steve asked Tony.

"We… we reconfigured Jarvis' matrix to create something new." Tony explained.

"That had been the original plan for Ultron, he should have been run by Jarvis, who is the only Ai existing on Earth that has known human kind in depth. The only risk was the stone, it's sentient. But Thor reassured us with his vision that this Vision would not be for destruction." Dara added quickly to remove the anxiety she saw on her fiancé's face. She knows new things make him uncomfortable if thrown suddenly at him.

"I'm not a child of Ultron, not am I him." Vision told Steve. Then looked to Dara and Tony. "I'm not Jarvis." They understood, but it was a cost they would have to bear in their life, without Jarvis running things. To Bruce he said "I am…I am."

"I looked in your head and saw annihilation." Wanda said as she inched a little closer. Her brother was right behind her, ready for any attack.

"Look again." Vision suggested.

"Yeah. Her seal of approval means jack to me." Clint snarled out lightly. Dara held up her hand to stop him going any further. Stepping to the side she looked at Wanda. The other's were uncertain now, they don't know how she will react to Wanda or Pietro.

"When you looked into the head before, which AI was it?" she asked in a no non-sense voice. Wanda blinked a bit before looking at Vision, then back to the woman.

"Ultron." Wanda believed she may have been wrong.

"See, that is why Tony and Bruce are not attack ready right now, why Vision is not talking about our extinction. Because unlike yourself, your brother, and Ultron, his energy and calibration didn't come from the Mind Stone. Vision is made of Jarvis, Tony, Bruce, and Thor, all their foundations, which I would say is very stable collectively." said a confident calm Dara. "You know anger, rage and revenge, that is not what rules the people in this room right now. You can take my validation on that."

Wanda could almost sense it, the pride this woman exuded was seeping into those around her, her family. They stood firm, together even while in disagreement on some matters. She would have failed in tearing them apart.

"Lady Dara is right. Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron, they all come from the Mind Stone, and they're nothing compared to what it can unleash. But with it on our side.." Thor left the statement open as he questioned Vision.

"Are you? On our side?" Steve asked with his hand on Dara's back.

"I don't think its that simple." said Vision.

"You're right, I don't think the programing would allow you to simply join a side that is volatile." Dara claimed and looked to Tony who nodded.

"Well what side are you on." Clint asked with a frown. They were losing time here, had to get to Nat.

"I am on the side of life. Ultron isn't, he will end it all." Vision confirmed for them.

"What's he waiting for?" Tony asked as he stepped forwards to Dara's other side.

"You." he said directly to Tony, then roved his eyes to the other occupants. He was waiting on the Avengers.

"Where?" Bruce asked.

"Sokovia." said Clint. They looked to him. "He's got Nat there too."

"If we're wrong about you, if you're the monster that Ultron made you to be…" Bruce questioned.

"What will you do?" Vision asked curiously. "I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique, and he's in pain." His eyes were on Dara, the only one in the room that could understand that truth."But that pain will roll over the earth, so he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net, we have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the others. Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and not what you intended. So there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go."

The Avengers and Dara stared wide-eyed at Mjolnir that Vision was holding out to Thor. For this moment, it was enough to convince them of his worthiness. Dara smiled at him, knowing the guys will have no issues with Vision now.

Thor took the hammer, and watched Vision walk off. "Right." He turned to Tony, smiling. "Well done." he said with a pat on the shoulder. Tony was still trying to recover from what had just happened.

Good thing Steve had snapped out of it when Dara gave a soft chuckle. "Three minutes. Get what you need."

They were moving then, Dara would be backup once she gets Nat out of her jail, the others will bring the diversion.

Tony was glad that Dara's suit still had Jarvis, so the legacy will continue while he takes on FRIDAY in his systems. Friday can learn from Jarvis about humanity and other things. The AI's are like babies, Jarvis is older. Dara understands that aspect of maturity.

Steve had a private moment with Dara while others were starting to move to the Quinjet. Stroking her face, he nuzzled his face into hers. It made him fearful to have her in the battle ground.

"I'll be fine, mi amor. You watch out for your friends and yourself." she instructed him. Touching the lucky trinket she put into the folds of his suit a while ago; it was a minute lock, signifying their love, and her waiting for him to come home, and he wouldn't be far from his heart. Sharing a few kisses, he sighed.

"You promise me that you will find one of us the moment it gets bad. Or you find a way to be at a distance. I just… I just want you to be safe." he pleaded her, holding her tight.

"I promise, Steve. Please have faith in me like I have in you." she asked pleadingly.

"Always."

Hearing her phone ring, she sniffed as he brushed away a few of her tears. "See you in the air." she told him, she will catch up after this call. They need to be on the go.

"Don't take too long." After one more kiss, she leaned to the side and picked up his shield, handing it to him. Giving her a Captain nod, he walked off to the Quinjet while she took out her phone.

"Hello?" she asked since she didn't recognize the number. There was silence. A thought came to her. She said Sixteen in Russian and the sound of a hum came. It was Bucky. "Where do I go?" she asked.

"Third raid." he said in Belgium and cut the call. That would be Greece, which works out for her. Getting suited up, she asked Jarvis "Call Maria Hill for me."

"Dara, we were told the plan, we will be coming for backup." Maria told her as she watched the Helicarrier getting prepped for flight.

"That's brilliant. Thank you. Could you also get the Falcon, we could use his help too. I got Bucky covered." she while telling Jarvis "Set a route for Greece please Jarvis."

"Good, though watch out for Stark's reaction." Maria worried.

"I will have that covered and keep those two apart." she assured the agent. "See you there."

"Be safe Dara." Maria commanded.

"Of course, Hill." she jibbed right back and went sonic speed.

Novi Grad, Sokovia

Tony didn't know how he felt about the message from Dara, that she had gone to pick up a little help from Steve's old friend. There was only one in fighting form. Its been a year since he found out the truth, he has come to terms that Bucky Barnes didn't kill his parents, his loving mother, it was Hydra. That doesn't mean he has to be pleasant to the man, nor does he expect it back.

"Ultron knows we're coming. Odds are we'll be riding into heavy fire, and that's what we signed up for. But the people of Sokovia, they didn't. So our priority is getting them out." The Captain was giving his speech in the Quinjet.

Tony was flying over the city now, he watched as the people of Novi Grad were leaving thanks to speedy bringing his sister over sooner so she can implant the idea of evacuation to them and warn the police what will be happening. He felt better prepared for this fight now. He has friends watching out for him, he is not alone.

"All they want is to live their lives in peace, and that's not going to happen today. But we can do our best to protect them. And we can get the job done, and find out what Ultron's been building. Dara will find Romanoff while we clear the field. Keep the fight between us. Ultron thinks we're monsters and we're what's wrong with the world. This isn't just about beating him. It's about whether he's right." Steve finished off the speech as he led Bruce and Clint onto the streets. Bruce was turning into Hulk now, while keeping their minds together so Hulk had access to the training. Thor had flown ahead with Tony.

Friday had finished the scan. "Your man is in the church, boss." she had a Scottish accent. Tony flew over and landed with a defined THUD.

"Come to confess your sins?" Ultron asked.

"I don't know, how much time you got?" Tony did what he could to distract Ultron and specific his rage to just him for now.

"More than you." Ultron said with certainty.

"Uhhh. Have you been Juicing? A little Vibranium cocktail?..." Tony was teasing a little now.

"Tony is it a good idea to agitate him so much?" Dara asked from where she and Bucky were looking for Natasha. She had been able to get him just in time and sped over. "NATASHA!" she shouted out, in search. Bucky watched her around her for enemies. They were fine so far.

"Dara?" Natasha called out.

"Nat!" Dara and Bucky went the rest of the way to the cell in one of the openings of the building stairs. Smiling in relief at her friend, Dara said "You alright?"

"Yeah. Look who you brought." Nat noticed. Bucky stared at her before looking at her cell. He knew how to let her out. He went about doing it, while Dara caught Nat up on the plan.

"I volunteered to rescue you while the others created a distraction. The team is about to light up the city. Its been evacuated by 84%."

"So what's our play?" Nat asked.

"We brought a contestant against Ultron. We used the android to make Vision, the one Thor inferred from some mystic sources. While they try to figure out what Ultron is doing here, we help the rest evacuate the city." She paused in her explanation as Bucky had shot the lock on the door.

Nat came through, and Dara watched the two of them interact. That was strange, there was almost a familiarity between them.

"Jarvis if you could please connect Nat to the team." she handed Nat the comm as they started exiting the area.

"Dara, Vision is burning Ultron from the net, he wont be able to escape now." Jarvis informed her. The others felt some relief at hearing this news.

"Great, we are heading up now." Dara informed. They only had a couple iron legions to fight off. Nat and Bucky were efficient. He had given Nat some of his weapons.

The ground then started shaking. And Dara started swearing as she heard that Ultron had a masterfully simple plan to eliminate human race. "Do you see? The beauty of it, the inevitability. You rise, only the fall. You, Avengers, you are my meteor, my swift and terrible sword and the earth will crack with the weight of your failure…" Dara stopped listening as she grabbed Bucky's arm. He looked to her and she signed of throwing him. He nodded and got ready. She used the power of the suit and trajectory to send him up high.

"…When the dust settles, the only thing living in this world will be metal." Ultron finished, it sent a shiver down Dara's back.

"Well, that's not how we like our pretty blue planet." she sneered in Hindi, grabbed Nat and flew up when the ground left from under them.

That's right, don't be taking out the beauty of human advancements.
