Chapter 25
Sometime Later
Tree Top Medical Center
Brooke. Haley and Nathan rushed through the double doors and scanned the waiting room.
At the sight of familiar faces Aurora rushed over. Tears falling from her eyes.
"Aunt Haley. Uncle Nathan. It's bad. The car caught on fire. The emergency workers had cut him out of the car. The car is destroyed. They won't won't let see him! I want to see my father now!" Aurora exclaimed loudly.
A woman and man in white coats walked over to the group.
"We've explained to Aurora more then once that we cannot allow visitors until Mr. Scott is out of surgery and stable. All we can advise is to wait and see what happens next. When Lucas is out of surgery we will inform you." The male doctor said. Before turning from them and going through the double doors.
"We know this is the worst part waiting and worrying. Please try to relax and stay positive we are doing all we can to save you're dad." The female doctor said as she joined her partner on the other side of the double doors.
"Ro. You heard the doctors. All we can do is sit and wait. Let's go for a walk or get something to eat at the vending machine." Haley said.
"I don't want to eat or go for a walk. I just want my dad!" Aurora yelled. Her voice breaking with emotion.
As Haley engulfed the girl in a hug.
"I'm going to go see what i can find out from the police." Nathan said.
"A walk around the walls then a snack afterwards will be just what you need to calm down and clear you're mind." Haley said. Taking Aurora's hand in hers. Leading the way towards the nearest hallway.
Brooke took a deep breath and headed towards the hospital nursery. The sight of newborn babies would keep her from falling apart and curling up into a bawl with sadness and fear.
...
"How exactly did Link gain access to my brother's car!" Nathan exclaimed. Louder then he intended.
"After officers surveyed the area. And asked around to where we knew criminals lurked. We found out that Link has had spies watching Lucas and Aurora for some time. The news of Rachel getting a life sentence. For her almost getting her Aurora killed. Must have set him off."
"I have my guys looking for him. When and if he is located you and the rest of the family will be notified." The head officer in charge said.
"If Link is found! First he plays a huge role in my niece's attack which almost got her killed. Now he targets my brother. You find that son of a bitch. Or i will." Nathan proclaimed. As he took a deep breath and sat back down in the waiting room.

Hours Later
To the relief of loved ones. The head doctor in charge on the team taking care of Lucas emerged through the double doors.
"He's stable and awake." The man said.
"Can we see him.?" Aurora asked.
"One at a time." The doctor said.
"I'll go with you. And stand outside the door." Brooke said.
Aurora didn't respond and simply followed the doctor's lead out of the waiting area.

Lucas's Hospital Room
"You take you're time. I'll be here when you're done." Brooke said.
"I thought you loved us. That you wanted to be a family. You're no better then Rachel. You lie, you hurt people. I don't want you here. And neither does my dad." Aurora proclaimed. As she rushed into the hospital room.
