Painful Reminders
Skipping three flights of stairs Hailey saw her desk come into view. Smiling at the last bit of information about teasing him, feeling like on cloud nine. It was then she noticed the blinds were closed, which was odd then she seen this woman whom who is stunningly beautiful stop at her desk. "Can I help you?" Olivia was not nervous to say the least but she knew will sting a lot. "I am not your Sargent so I can not tell you what to do? For your best interest you should stay off the case." Olivia stepped rather quickly waiting for the girl to blow. When she was certain that was not going to happen Olivia spoke yet again. "Don't do it for me, but do it for your team. Your Sargent went mad when you went missing. Asking you please at least think about it." Olivia quickly turned walked away back into the surveillance room. Quickly getting up from her desk, knocking on the door with a shaky hand. Hank Voight needed to know the truth if she was off the case then she is technically a witness of a hence crime. If anybody was going to give her statement to it would be him.
"It's open." Hailey's nerves were getting the better of her, wringing her hands she opens the door.
Inside the room is dark guess he wants that way, good better for me. "Is it okay to lock the door, do not want anybody else entering especially what I need to tell you." Hank barely heard it, damn vixen woman does anything and or everything soft. Hailey sees him nodding his head she closes it and locks the door. Hank looks up from his paper work with his glasses on, it was then Hailey could barely speak so she looked at the ground instead. "This is hard for me to say so do not make me repeat it. "My bastard father sold me, after my brothers got out. Stayed behind of course cause I was little for college, anyways the beatings got worse, the rapes sucked. Nothing was ever going easy." Tears sprang her eyes as she looked at the floor. "The man whom bought me at fifteen beat me until I could barely walk, quit school was not allowed to have friends, he had full control over me." Tears were leaking now Hailey could also tell she was getting choked up. "He raped to, if it was not for Trudy being there that day I would have, he could have killed me." That did it for Hailey she was a sobbing mess, Hank was already in front of her she only looked up. Holding her as she cried, hearing her story broke him to, how could anybody sell there own daughter. "That was not even the worst part, I thought I killed him, heard his voice while in the car. "Shh, do not talk anymore please. As of now you are off the case, do you hear me. Stay in my office go to sleep I will wake you when its time to leave." Hank was being very firm and serious about this. "I will have Kelly bring over Lucia later on okay." Kissing her head, not responding she fell a sleep. Carrying her to the couch laying her on there giving her soft kisses, kissing her hands in his. Whipping his kitten's face from the tears. Just another painful reminder as to why he can never let go of Hailey.
Hearing his door trying to open kissing her forehead one last time, before opening the door. Sliding out of the doorway without making it any bigger. "What's up?" Jay forgot a second what he was going to ask him, when Adam came barreling with six folders. "Do not want to know whom Hailey contacted but they were helpful that much was sure. It looks like Donny whomever that is the ring leader from New York to Chicago. Get this there was at least a dozen phone calls to this address. Me and Kim are going to check it out now." Hank stopped him remembering what Hailey told him. "heard that bastards voice, my bastard father." Hank was stunned "do you me a favor then we will have everybody over. "Check out that voice again find me whom it belongs to." Adam agreed everybody was packing up heading out. Not before Hank stopped at his office door, quickly and quietly entering. Leaving a note for Hailey telling them where they are heading. Excluding the address, placing a nice cup of hot coffee with the note. Kissing her fully on the lips before quietly shutting the door.
