I let out a sigh of bliss as I let the wind on the boat go through my hair, we had just met Killer B on the docks a few minutes ago, we were now on a small boat, heading towards the Falls of Truth. THe waves crashed against the small boat, swaying it from left to right, gently lulling me into a trance. I snickered as Naruto and B had a rap battle, trying not to recall the meeting I had with Tsunade just a few minutes prior.
"Aelia, I don't think there's a real need for me to tell you this but it is quite obvious that you'll be a target for kidnapping due to your reputation." declared Tsunade, "What will your course of action be?" asked Shizune, her face betraying her concern. I shrugged, "I'll let myself get caught." the blonde woman widened her eyes, "Are you crazy?! We're talking about a god here! Who knows what might happen if you get taken?"
It seemed as though the raven haired woman had pretty much spoken what was on Tsunade's mind. "It's my only way of getting to Obito. If we get him on our side, not only will we have a massive upper hand, countless lives will be saved!" I thought of Neji who was going to die in a matter of weeks. "I'm an informant, a good one too. They'll come for me, I know that. I'm not a strong shinobi so I might as well do what I do best: deceive people."
The Hokage muttered to herself, "I'll kill you if you die." grumbled the woman as she dismissed me. "You better not die on that island!" called Shizune, a tick mark on her forehead, "Don't you worry, Shizune-san, I doubt Nikolai is going to let that happen in a very long time." I shot her a smile and left the office.
"Yo Spade Girl, come over here and see this pearl!" I cocked a brow but joined the rapper nonetheless, a snicker sneaking at my lips as I watched Naruto's feeble attempt at rapping. "You should give up, brother dear. I'm certain that shinobi work is more suited for you." the blonde paled, "My own sister! My own bloodline has told me to give up! But I shall not prevail!" I snickered and watched the waves crash against the boat as we seemed to not move at all in this empty place. It was only us, the sky and the sea, no land in sight just yet.
"Spade Bae, how about you put a smile on that face, aye?" I let out a small sigh, "I have a name, B-san, it's Aelia." the buff man let out a grumble, "Weird name." I gasped, "You're literally named after a letter! Don't come at me, telling me I have a weird name! Hmph!" I turned away from him, nose in the air as I ignored the rapper's existence. "Why do I have to be the only girl on board?"
"Aelia-san?" I turned around to meet the eyes of Motoi's, "What is it, Motoi-san?" I asked, turning to him, "I just wanted to say how much of an honor it is to be working with an informant such as you are." I chuckled thanking him, "But just a question," I cocked my brow, "If you wouldn't mind answering, why are you wearing a mask?" I froze. It's obviously to hide the damn hickeys Deidara gave me but whatever.
"Since I'm quite the important person, I don't want people recognizing me by my face." I said with a friendly grin, though he wouldn't be able to see it. "Motoi-san," I called, "I like you so here's a free piece of advice," the man raised his eyebrow and listened, I motioned at him to come closer, "You shouldn't hate B-san. After all, it wasn't his fault and you know it. Thirty years of grudge is a bit too much don't you think?" the man froze, "How do you-"
"I'm an informant, Motoi-san, I know everything about everyone and the outcome of every situation. It only takes a bit of math." No it actually takes befriending a very powerful god who loves you no matter what. Don't take the credit you bitch. I snickered as I listened to Nikolai. How sweet, I love you too. I could almost see the blush on his face, "If what you say is true, does that mean you know the outcome of the coming war?" I chuckled, "Ah, dear Motoi-san, I was the one who predicted it." I said with a smile, "Then could you tell me?" I seemed to think about it even though the answer is a straight no.
"Sorry Motoi-san. Only if the price is right and even then, I'm not sure it'd be alright for you to know." Motoi looked annoyed, "But you could make such great changes if you only told us the outcome!" I let out a sigh, "One person knowing the future changes it drastically as it is. I'd just like to sit back and watch as the pieces fall together." the brunette let out a small sigh, "I guess I'll have to trust your judgment on the matter, Aelia-san." I nodded, "Though I wish you didn't have to." I mumbled as the man walked away, leaving me alone with my thoughts.
I let out a small sigh as we approached Genbu, the island that supposedly could survive one of Deidara's bombs. "Aelia-san?" I turned to meet Aoba's gaze. "Hello, Aoba." I said with a grin, "Why do you wear that mask, really?" he asked, a smirk on his face, "You weren't wearing it whilst you were going to Tsunade-sama's office." I froze but decided to keep my poker face.
"Like I told Motoi-san, I don't like being recognized… though I guess it would be hard since the makeover I had, hehe." Due to being one of Tsunade's most trusted shinobi, Aoba and the rest of the konoha shinobi that are coming to Genbu with us know of Nikolai and his abilities. "Then I shall assume that there's something I don't know of that will happen and you'd rather hide your face." A chuckle escaped my lips, "My, my, you've figured me out already." I said with a smile, "Someone I'd rather have on our side than not is going to be there. I'd like to look presentable."
Aoba nodded and walked away as well, "Gai-san!" I exclaimed, seeing the "rival" of Kakashi, "I didn't know you'd be here!" the man grinned, shooting me a thumbs up before saying, "Ah, Youthful Aelia! You should've told me you were alive and well before this mission, I could've trained you and the rest of my team together!" Tenzo approached us, "Senpai, I'm pretty sure that's exactly the reason as to why she didn't tell you." the man chuckled while Gai looked depressed, "It's not true is it, my youthful lotus?" I sweatdropped. What kind of pet name is that?!
"Ah, o-of course it isn't," I murmured in a happy tone, "I just didn't have time to tell everyone I'm alive. Just a few people is all." I exclaimed with a smile on my face. The bowl cutted man let out a sigh of relief and held both my hands in his, "I'll make you strong in no time, don't you worry! Then you can tell Kakashi who the better sensei is." I nodded, a strained smile on my face as I turned back around to watch us go near the shore. "U-um… I sort of have a problem with water…" I mumbled, holding onto Naruto's arm. The blonde nodded, probably remembering the same thing as I. "Do you need me to pull you down after I leave?" I nodded, embarrassed.
"Why are you scared of the water, Aelia-san?" asked Motoi as he shot me a concerned look, "It's a pretty long story. Perhaps I'll tell you at night." I said with a worried smile, regretting ever setting foot on the boat. "Come on, just give me your hand." said Naruto as he extended his arm. "Y-you know what? I-I'll just stay on the boat. Heh." Tenzo sweatdropped as he picked me up and threw me off. "Tenzo, NO!" I landed in the water, frozen as I felt tentacles wrap around my leg. "No, not again!" I was lifted by a giant squid, its tentacles grabbing me fiercely as I tried to escape it.
"Kya! No! Get your pervy tentacles away from me!" I exclaimed as one of the tentacles made its way to my boobs. I've watched enough hentai to know where this is going and I do NOT like it! "HELP ME INSTEAD OF WATCHING, ASSHOLES!" I screamed, trying to get away as quickly as I could only for the tentacle to grab me again. Seeing that nobody intended on helping me, I let out an annoyed sigh and summoned Nikolai's power, a warm yellow chakra surrounding me as I ripped the tentacle that grasped me, causing me to fall to the freezing water and swim out. "So… I got us dinner," I declared with an annoyed grunt, "YEAH YOU BETTER LEAVE!"
Killer B helped me up with a disapproving look on his face, "You used way too much power Aelia-san." I glared at him, "Maybe if you had intervened I wouldn't have had to use power at all. Since you allegedly tamed all of these beasts." I growled, clearly annoyed. "B-san! I apologize for my subordinate's behavior, she's had bad experiences with sea animals in the past." said Aoba as he forced me to bow.
"Oi don't force me to bow, bastard!" I exclaimed, trying to get away from the brunette's grasp. "Don't give me orders, I'm your superior!" exclaimed the brunette, clearly annoyed. "Yet you don't do shit, let me go!" I slapped him with the tentacle I was holding then stored the pink tentacle in one of the seals that I keep the decaying flesh and corpses I collected for Shinsei: Funna Tamashi. "Why did you-" I cut Motoi off before he could finish his sentence.
"It's for research." technically it wasn't a lie so… Naruto pulled me aside, "Are you still thinking of doing that jutsu?! Are you serious?!" he whisper-shouted, "It's extremely powerful and it gives them a second life! Do you know how many shinobi die thinking they didn't accomplish shit?! I'd like to give them a second opportunity at life, even if it's for a few seconds!" I replied in the same tone.
My brother let out a sigh, knowing that he wasn't going to win this specific argument against me. "Kisame should be here any minute now." I muttered as I walked away, looking around to see any sign of the blue skinned man. "Trying to find your mysterious visitor?" asked Motoi as he started walking next to me, "How do you know that?" I asked, a grin on my face, "Aoba-san told us to be weary of the people you hire." I flinched, there was no way any of them knew that I had employed Kisame , "Well he'd be right." he mumbled, looking around until I finally spotted him. "Rather have him on my side than as an opponent in the upcoming war so…" I trailed off with a smile. Though that isn't entirely the reason as to why I hired Kisame. A few months ago, well… a year and a few months ago, he came to me, begging for a job.
"Aelia, I need you to hire me." said the blue skinned man as he looked away, embarrassment written all over his face. "Not that I'll refuse you but why? You and I don't get along that well and I don't have any dirt on you so there's no real reason as to why you'd want to be employed by me." Kisame shook his head while Samehada grumbled.
"I… have a family back in Kiri." he said in the end, "A wife and a daughter about five years old now… My wife is really sick. I need money to pay for her treatment." I shot him a smile, "If it's money you want you can just ask for some. I can give you a loan." the blue skinned man shook his head, "Sumi would be against taking money if she didn't work for it. I work the same way." I let out a sigh, "Fine then. I'll give you a payment of forty thousand ryo a month. It should cover your wife's medical expenses and your kid's school." A relieved look made its way onto Kisame's face.
"But," I said, "I don't want you to kill unless ordered to or if it's for self defense. If I find out that you killed someone out of those restrictions there will be dire consequences." the man nodded, gulping. "Now that we have an agreement," I mumbled, handing him a scroll, "I want you to meet me in Genbu a year from now. Stay in the Akatsuki. Tobi is the new leader. Find out everything you can about his plans and how he thinks. Same goes for both Zetsus. The more detail the better."
Kisame nodded, a smirk on his face, "I won't disappoint you." he said with that smirk, "Let's hope not," I shot him a smirk of my own, "Oh, before I forget." I turned towards Kisame, an expectant look on your face, "Swear on your sword that you won't betray me." Kisame seemed shocked but he did it anyway. "I swear it on my sword, I will never betray you, I'll stay by your side no matter what happens." I smirked, "My, my, Kisame, how romantic."
"Don't make me regret asking for your help, midget." I chuckled and left, "A year and three months from now, Kisame. Don't you dare forget." the blue skinned man nodded and went on his way, grumbling about being bossed around by a kid.
"Is this person you've hired really that good of a shinobi?" I nodded, "So good you didn't even notice he's been following us ever since we stepped off that ship." Motoi's eyes widened as he looked around, trying to spot Kisame. "It's no use. He's probably at the base this moment, trying to fight B-san." I chuckled as I ran to our campsite to watch the scene unfold. I let out an annoyed sigh as I saw that B was holding Samehada in his hand. "Aw man, I missed it!" I exclaimed, letting out an annoyed huff. "You knew we were going to get attacked?" asked Tenzo as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Of course! What kind of informant would I be if I didn't even know that?" the man let out an annoyed sigh as he grabbed me by the collar, shining a flashlight under his chin to scare me, "Then why didn't you tell us, Aelia?" I shrugged, trying not to shiver, "I wanted to see how things would go. Anyways, can I have the sword?" B-san chuckled as he handed me Samehada, I almost immediately snatched her from him, "Holding a sword of this high quality as though it was nothing but wood. How disrespectful." I uttered, shaking the sword, "Oi, Kisame! Get your ass out of that sword else I'm breaking it!" I threatened, making the blue skinned man appear almost immediately. "You wouldn't." I let go of the sword and gave it back to him, "Of course I wouldn't. It's been a while hasn't it? I got a haircut, some knew eyes, you could say I'm a new person now."
Kisame let out a sigh and ruffled my hair, "Should've known it was you the moment I saw that annoying grin." he mumbled as he handed me some files, "Here you go, I've done my research as you asked." a smile spread across my face as I hugged the file to my chest, jumping around in happiness. "Yay! Thank you Kisame!" I hugged him tight. "U-uh… sure… you're welcome, brat." he mumbled, hugging me back awkwardly.
"Why the mask?" he asked after a while, "Oh… you know… stuff." the blue skinned man chuckled, "Oh my god you're hiding some hick-" I covered his mouth with my hand, "Not another word." I threatened, a menacing look in my eyes. "So who was it with. Wait no, let me guess… Deidara!" exclaimed Kisame, a smirk on his face as he noticed my blush, "That's why you can't walk properly! Wait no there's more important stuff I need to ask you." I let out a sigh and removed my hand, "WHO THE FUCK DISAPPEARS WITHOUT A WORD FOR A YEAR, HUH?!" he started shaking me by the shoulders while I desperately tried to get away from him.
"Please stop. I was kidnapped." I let out, falling on the floor, my head spinning. "Kidnapped?" I nodded, "Of sorts." I mumbled, dusting myself off and grabbing Kisame's hand, "Was there a problem with the money transfer or something?" Kisame shook his head, "No I was just worried when you didn't send in your weekly 'I'm alive, don't you worry,' scroll for over a year."
I let out a sigh of relief, "If there wasn't a problem with the transfer then there's no problem. As long as you're employed by me, you should be getting that monthly check of yours." I mumbled thinking of Kisame's daughter and his sickly wife. "Is Sumi-san getting better?" I asked quietly, knowing that it would be troublesome if others were to learn of the Hoshigaki's secret family. The blue skinned man nodded, "Slowly but surely." I shot him a small smile but it was hidden by the mask, Kisame seemed to see it nonetheless though. "So… are we going to arrest him or nah?" asked Tenzo as he looked at me. I chuckled, "Sorry but as long as he's employed by me, he's under my protection. He's untouchable. Nobody can arrest him." Kisame smirked, "Which means I can commit as many crimes as I want." I flicked his forehead, "No, it means that you'll do as you're told."
"Can't even joke around," grumbled Kisame as he reached for his bags. I could tell the shinobi around us were ready to attack the moment he acted just a little suspicious. "You forgot this at the base." said Kisame as he handed me the battle axe that had the rod that killed Jiraiya used as the base of it. My eyes widened as I hugged it, "You found, Shi!" I exclaimed as I snatched the battle axe from him.
"Yeah. I got it sharpened too." he mumbled, a smirk on his face, "Thank you!" I exclaimed, tracing the blade with my fingertips, mesmerized by how sharp it was. "Yeah, yeah no problem. Take it as a thank you gift of some sorts." I nodded and strapped the axe to my back, a wide smile now present on my face, visible through the mask. "Okay, now that your reunion is over… can you leave… poser…" I facepalmed as I listened to B try to rap.
"Um… no." said Kisame, "I'll stay because one, I want to and two you're not my boss, she is." he declared, resting his elbow on my head. "And I'll leave when she asks me to." I let out a sigh as the expectant stares of the shinobi fixated on me. "He stays. I need to hone my swordsmanship skills anyway." Kisame shot the group a smirk, "So, why are you here? Isn't this a special jinchuuriki island thing?" asked the blue haired man. I nodded.
"Had to come here because-" Motoi cut me off, "Aelia-san, surely you can't trust him." I let out a growl, "Motoi-san. Kisame is one of my most trusted employees. I trust him a thousand times more than I could ever trust you so please keep your nose out of my business. I'm sure I know just how much information is safe to be let out." I shot the man a smile while letting out a bit of killing intent.
"Kisame-san will be treated with respect during his stay here. Address him however you would address me." I pulled Kisame to the side, "So, I became a jinchuuriki. That's what happened when I was kidnapped. Look I have another job for you," Kisame cocked a brow, "It's dangerous so I'll pay you extra. I need you to make it so that I become one of Madara's war prisoners. As you know, Tobi works with him so make sure to make it so that the fact that I'm an amazing informant is well known amongst them." the blue skinned man nodded, "It's dangerous, sure, but it's dangerous for you. Why would you want to be Madara's war prisoner?"
"I want one of the people he works with on my side." I mumbled, "And with that, I have a small favor to ask of you." Kisame smirked, "Yes I'll take your side in this war. I swore by Samehada that I'd be loyal to you." I smiled, "Then it's decided." Kisame and I unsheathed our swords, starting our spar, "You've gotten better," complimented Kisame, I smiled, "Thanks, I'm pretty sure it's because you've gotten rusty though." the two of us snickered before continuing our sparring sessions. "So… Which tailed beast?" asked Kisame as he tried to cut me with his sword, I blocked, "It's not a tailed beast." I replied, with a move equally as strong as his.
"What is it then?" he asked, planting Samehada on the sand, indicating that he wanted to rest. "An idiot with a god complex." I replied with a smile on my face. An idiot?! Idiot?! I've saved your life numerous times, the world wouldn't even exist if I wasn't here! Nikolai growled, making me chuckle. "You're kidding." said Kisame, covering his mouth to stifle a chuckle. "Nah. They're pretty nice. We were childhood friends but things happened and I got amnesia… it's extremely confusing. Their strength is comparable to that of a god though."
"They? As in multiple people?" I shook my head, "Not sure what gender they are so I decided to use a neutral term." Kisame nodded, panting as the spar didn't end with a victory. "You really have improved." he smirked, "Might catch up to my daughter." I glared at him while he chuckled, "It's a compliment really, I'm saying you're good enough to be compared to my daughter!" I let out a huff of disappointment, "She's like five!" I groaned, annoyed that a five year old was considered a better swordsman than I. "Let's go eat. You look like a stick and I haven't eaten in a week because I was too busy trying to find some information for you." I shot him a concerned look, "You shouldn't starve yourself, Kisame. Having a balanced diet is important for a man your age. You might die, you know." Kisame hit the back of my head, "Don't talk like that, brat!"
"OW!" I exclaimed, punching his arm, "Not my fault you're a million years old!" I exclaimed, the two of us started to bicker while the rest of the team sweatdropped. "Oi, Aelia, get that giant tentacle you cut off." I froze, "U-um… you don't want me to do that." I sweatdropped, remembering that I had stored the tentacle to be able to summon the stupid squid during the war. "Why not?" asked Motoi, a suspicious look on his face. Naruto's eyes widened as he realised what I had done.
"Aelia… please tell me you didn't…" I gulped, looking down, "You're an idiot." he mumbled, "You're going to get us food." he dragged me into the forest, "No! I don't wanna! Let me go! Gah! Kisame, help me!" the blue skinned man snickered before snatching me from my brother. "Besides, I already had food in my bag, Usuratonkachi!" I exclaimed, annoyed. The blonde's eyes widened, "You're becoming more and more like Sasuke as the days pass!" he exclaimed, an annoyed expression on his face. I threw the bag at him, "Eat. I'm not hungry anyways." I huffed, looking away from him. I jumped off my savior, "You too. You haven't eaten in a week."
Kisame let out a small chuckle before heading towards the group, "So caring, how cute." he let out, making me blush, "As I said, as long as you're employed by me, you're under my responsibility. I don't need weak pawns." I stuck my nose in the air and turned away from him, "Aw, she's a tsundere! Deidara must be having his fun with you, huh?" I choked on my spit, "Don't bring him up!"
I exclaimed, face flushed, "Wait, why is this guy talking about you and Deidara? Were you two a thing in the Akatsuki too?" asked Naruto, an annoyed expression on his face, "So much sexual tension between the two. It was hilarious, Hidan would be proud." I threw my axe at him, "Shut up!" Motoi glared at me, "You were in a relationship with someone from the Akatsuki?" I gulped, trying to dodge the question, "Let's think strategies. Naruto has to learn how to control the Kyuubi within two days now. B-san you should take him to the Falls of Truth, make him fight the dark Naruto you know?" B stiffened, "How do you know of that?"
"For the last time, I'm an informant, it's my job to know things!" I huffed, annoyed, "Don't change the subject." Motoi's voice was stern, "Were you in a relationship with someone from the Akatsuki." his voice seemed to resonate through the island, "...yes?" the man facepalmed, "Why?" I gulped, "Why not?" asked Tenzo, jumping to my defence, "If anything it made her more credible, made the Akatsuki think that she truly was one of them." I let out a silent sigh of relief, "You two are still dating right?" asked Kisame in a low whisper. I nodded, a small blush spreading across my face.
"He's really sweet." I mumbled, taking a bite out of the cupcake that was thrown at me. "Oi, stop daydreaming of your loverboy!" snickered Naruto, "Shut up, Usuratonkachi! Or would you like me to beat you until you can't speak?" yellow chakra enveloped my body, showing the blonde that it wasn't an empty threat. "I'll shut up and eat." I nodded, glaring at him as I took another bite of the food. "Were you the one who made all these, Aelia-san?" asked Aoba as he took a bite out of his menemen. "Oh… yeah…" I mumbled, eating some more.
"What are the origins of the foods that you cook?" he asked, "Oh… they're from my hometown, it's nowhere too big. In fact, it's so small it doesn't even have a name." I said, a small smile on my face to make myself seem nostalgic, "You used to make this at the base too, though it was for breakfast I think." I nodded, "Aoba-san opened the wrong bag." the man blushed before closing the bag, muttering a small "Sorry," and starting to eat the real food. "Lia, did you make borscht again?" asked Naruto, trying to find the soup in the bag.
"Nah, I made some pelmeni though," I handed him the box of russian ravioli but immediately regretted it, "You're a disgrace, you know that?" I asked as I handed him some tissues. "How was I supposed to know it'd be burning hot? They were in your bag the entire time!" I let out a sigh, "They were in my storage seal the entire time meaning that the heat got stored with the food." Naruto let out a small "Oh," before wiping the now disfigured pelmeni off him. "I worked so hard to make them too." I groaned putting my half eaten food away.
"What, you barely ate a thing!" exclaimed Tenzo, "Yamato-san, I think it's better if we don't force her to eat." said Motoi, "Yeah, I agree with Motoi-san on this one." I grumbled while Tenzo tried to shove some food into my mouth, "Dude. I'm not hungry, let me be!" I whined, trying to escape his grasp, "As your superior, I order you to finish the food on your plate." I swear these guys are worse than Yoonsoo or anyone from the RFA. Like hoe, if I ain't hungry, I ain't hungry. Don't force me to eat.
Nonetheless, I decided to eat the food, knowing that they'd force the food down my throat if I resisted further. Kisame snickered, "For someone who built an entire information trading empire, you're acting quite like the common toddler." I glared at him, "I hate you." he snickered and ruffled my hair, "How sweet , I was thinking the exact same thing." I shot him a glare and left to set my tent, in the end, I gave up. "Oi, Tenzo!" I called, "Can you build me a house please?" the ANBU let out a small sigh before doing as I asked, "Thanks!" I exclaimed, going inside of the small hut.
