Chapter nineteen:

After working for a bit Matt comes over to the two. "Guess what!" He tells them getting their attention to him. "Turns out Near was right. Teru and Takada have been communicating. I was looking up some information on them. I found pictures of them showing that they look to be friends. On top of that I managed to hack their computers without either of them even knowing. They've been sending all sorts of emails and private messages to each other. They use all sorts of websites to try to cover their tracks while also using their emails. And in some that I glanced over one would ask the other to text or call them."

"Print out everything you can." Near nods upon hearing this news. "Maybe we can find some evidence in there."

"Also I just finished circling spots that it looks like they are avoiding." Mello shows it to Near who looks it over. "Its looks like they avoid some places with some housing. Perhaps important people of their group live in those areas. They wouldn't want to take them down."

"That is very possible." Near agrees starting to twirl a strand of his hair. "And this area is a little bigger than the others. I wonder if it has any significance."

"We actually walked through that area once." Matt mentions as he remembers the area. "There was a bunch of housing there."

"Then that's a place of interest. We'll have to visit there again. Maybe there is someone hiding out there." Mello makes sure to make a mark with his red pen on that area.

"I'll get those papers printed out." Matt heads back to his computer to do so. He types away for a little before the printer begins to print. He is glad that they managed to get one for a pretty decent price. He knows it was used though it still works. He makes sure to grab some of the printed papers to make sure that the small printer doesn't get backed up if theres too many papers in the way. He puts it all in a stack of papers and truly gets an idea of just how much information is actually there. "Damn. That is a big pile." He mentions in which Near and Mello turn to look at the pile. "Took up pretty much the rest of the paper we had left."

"Is that all of the information?" Near inquires turning to look to the red head who turns to look at him.

Matt's eyes are still hidden by his goggles. "Pretty much. I just excluded some of them that I knew didn't have any information. Like how they talk about the weather and how they are feeling that day."

"It's a good place to start then." Near agrees and goes over to where the pile was placed. "I guess we should start looking through it."

Mello comes over to join the other two of them looking down at the pile. "Okay then. Lets get this done." His words get the other two to turn to him. He pulls out a chocolate bar feeling like he needs one to get through all of this. "We can organize it into three different piles depending on what the information is. Each of us will take a pile and look at the information sharing anything we find important." He takes a bite of his chocolate bar after he speaks.

"That is actually a really good idea Mello." Matt agrees to this and he helps Near start sorting the papers. "That way we can get through this pile so much easier."

Mello finishes eating the piece of chocolate he had held between his teeth before responding. "Of course. The sooner we figure things out the better." He observes the two sorting the papers into the piles while eating more chocolate from his chocolate bar.

In the meantime L is looking at the screen before he gets a message about a certain someone returning to the city. "Misa Amane is back is she?" He mentions to himself before picking up a cube of sugar that he pops into his mouth. "Interesting. I have a seventy percent chance that she came back to aid the resistance in some way. She has been a vocal supporter of them even when she was way out of the city." He picks up another sugar cube. "I wonder if her return to the city could draw out some important people of the resistance. I'll have to try to keep an eye on her." He then pops the sugar cube he's holding into his mouth just like the last one.

A blonde goth looking girl walks along down the side walk as her pigtails bounce slightly as she walks. She is glad that there isn't anyone out right now so she isn't noticed yet. "It feels like it has been way too long since I was here last." She glances around at the buildings on either side of her. "I don't know about other people but after so long, of modeling outside in different parts of the wilderness for the perfect shots, makes me forget how towering the buildings can be." She turns away to look to where she is going instead of looking at the buildings. "I wonder if now that I am back if Kira will contact me." Her eyes shine with excitement at the very possibility that this could happen. "oh my god I would love that so so much! The resistance is amazing. That government only does what is best for them after all." She pauses as she spots government men ahead of herself slightly around a corner. She turns her head as she watches the mens backs with her being able to hear what they are talking about.

"We need space for the new building. We should just bulldoze everything here. More people working for us that we can trust maybe means we'll find more ways to stop this despicable resistance." One of the men carelessly flicks his hand at the buildings nearby. "I am a bit tired of waiting for that detective to get us information on Kira. And I hear a lot of the others are as well." He adds a bit quieter and Misa isn't fully sure if she heard that part right. "We need to start hitting them harder than before. We must bring this to an end." He speaks up again to add the last part.

"But there are a bunch of peoples homes here." The other man points out slightly glancing around at said buildings. "Are you sure that they'll be willing to move?"

"If they follow us, the government, then they will. And if not we'll make them. No one can stop us from doing what we must to stop the resistance once and for all."

Misa moves backwards so she wont be seen. "Of course they're looking for Kira. However if they are going to step up their game then the resistance will have to do the same. I'll have to find someone to alert about this happening." She hurries off after talking to herself for a few moments.
