Eighteen year old Lara woke up in her tiny bed surrounded by her sisters sitting opposite her. Adora, Amileigh and Marie sat on the three beds opposite while Lara and little Brittanie laid on the other two. Lara woke to her chest length bleach blonde hair in rats and tats, most likely from the night before and a pack of cigarettes that were most likely stolen from a shop.
She lit one up and did a second glance around the room to notice that her other sister Leighanna wasnt in bed.
"Where`s Leigh?"
"Dont know. Probably getting shouted at after your little stunt last night." Marie said barely looking up from her magazine. The stunt was just them two staying out till late in the morning with a bottle of whatever alcohol they could find. Lara was only close with Leighanna and she was the only sister who could relate with Lara. Marie was too stuck up and Adora thought about no-one but herself. She could of had the chance to grow close with Amileigh but she was an accident waiting to happen and sometimes she could be so annoying.
"It wasnt a stunt Marie. Your just overreacting."
"Me overreacting?" She screamed outrageously.
"Yeah Marie. You are. You know why? Because you wanna be that good little virgin child. Dont fuck till your 30 years old and never touch a drop of alcohol. You never smoke because you are too busy trying to keep fit. Look Marie face it. You are a Malone. Act like it." Finishing with that Lara lit a cigarette and let out a massive cloud of smoke.
Marie could do nothing but lower her head. Lara was right. She always expected more of her family and tried to convert them into angels. She was about as guilty as the other sisters for taking part in bank jobs. Lara could of told her a long lost of sit she was doing wrong but her mama came barging into the room picking up Brittanie in her arms and opening a window.
"How many times Lara? Dont smoke when she is in here"
Lara just rolled her eyes. Her Mama couldnt talk. She used to smoke around them all the time and not once did they scold her about it. Marie got up and shuffled into the other room where her brothers slept to see what they were doing. Lara just threw herself off her bed and got changed into the same murky clothing as the day before.
With that done she walked out the room and onto the bare wooden flooring that made up her home. Walking across it Lara could feel splinters beginning to form in her feet but she didnt care.
Down the stairs she went and saw her sister laying, bloody and beaten and her mouth foaming.
"Leigh!" She screamed but her sister just lay there in pain. Lara knew who was responsible for this and she was close to sorting that person out but a cry from her sister stopped her train of thoughts.
"Lara...Im dead." She said through closed teeth.
"No you arent."
"Light is here..." She said placing her hands on either side of Laras cheeks while warm tears fell like a waterfall. Last words Leighanne Malone ever said before her eyes closed and her breathing stiffled. Then silence. She died!
Lara`s Mama watched from the top step, Brittanie still in her arms trying not to make her presence known.
Lara couldnt comprehend what had happened and forced herself up off the floor and made her way to her fathers black leather wallet. She forced it open with the zip falling off onto the tiled flooring and snatched the platinum credit card before forcing herself out the house.
BOOM
Back to reality. The reality was where Patricia Madradzo was making her hot chocolate and Michael and Trevor were just coming in from whatever they were covered and coated in Blood.
"Oh my god!" Lara said standing off the sofa. They just looked at her and tried to make an excuse.
"We got some of those hilly billy fucks!" Trevor screamed insanely. This made Lara laugh and sit on the sofa sipping on the warm liquid. She placed it down and she decided to call herself a cab when Michael and Trevor fell sound asleep. When it finally arrived she ordered the driver to take her to Los Santos.
While she did, she remembered the demise of her sister.
Rest in Peace.
