When Cascade's systems returned to normal and she was discharged, she met with Wheeljack in his lab. Her scavenging had paid off and she had all parts that were required to rebuild her medium over armor. Wheeljack was attentive to her needs and solely concentrated on her armor during the time she was with him. This meant that nothing exploded during her time in the lab for which she was eternally grateful. Wheeljack even showed her a few modifications that she could add to make her armor more responsive. It took two weeks to complete, but finally it was ready. Cascade combined with her over armor and it once again brought her up to the height of most Cybertronians. As she was walking down the corridor, Sunstreaker stepped in front of her blocking her path.

"That isn't going to work," he said looking at the integrated parts of her new armor. "We need to paint those immediately. Follow me." Since the parts were new and used, the coloring differed and gave her body a more patchwork look. Cascade didn't particularly care, but she wasn't going to refuse Sunstreaker's offer. She obediently followed Sunstreaker into his room. Sideswipe was reclining on his berth reading a data pad. He looked up as they came in, but he didn't seem surprised to see her. Sunstreaker must have told him they were coming. Sunstreaker dug into his closet pulling out supplies.

"Hey Cade," said Sideswipe in greeting using a new nickname. She shot him a confused look. "Well, I can't call you bitlet in that form," said Sideswipe smiling. "I haven't seen you lately. When did Ratchet let you out of med bay?"

"About two weeks ago," said Cascade. "I've been in Wheeljack's lab constructing my armor since then."

"That must be why nothing's exploded lately," said Sideswipe.

"So the question is," said Sunstreaker straightening. "Why do all the defense forces look the same and did you want to remain black and silver or can I use a different color?"

"We came online like this," said Cascade looking down at her armor. "We never had a choice. The organics that brought us online separated the worker bots from the defense bots by color. I wouldn't be opposed to something different."

Sunstreaker smirked. "I've got just the thing."

When he was done, Cascade's base form was completely black expect for the silver blades on the edges of her wings. Her over armor was a deep blue with blue green wings. "Thanks," said Cascade admiring the colors. "I like it a lot. I'm sure if you're interested in painting the others, they'd allow it. We never really had the option before."

Sunstreaker was pleased with his work and now at least he wouldn't be bored for the next few weeks as he painted the rest of the defense forces.
