Natsu no longer holding back gathered his power and threw the solders holding him all off and raced to where Nashi and Lucy were. Using all his weight, he threw himself at Lucy knocking her clean off Nashi. Grabbing her with his hands, and keeping her there he screamed "HAPPY, GET NASHI OUT OF HERE" Happy got himself together and went for her. She looked at Natsu with big worried eyes but he grinned and said "you remember what I told you?" she nodded her head. "Good, run Nashi" she immediately took Happy's paws and flew away from the battle. " Good now that she's out of harm's way, to deal with you"Natsu said to the infuriated Lucy who was struggling with all her might to get away from him. Desperate, she used her claws and sliced him open but he refused to let go. "Natsu!" Gray and Erza both yelled scared for their friend. " No, I got this, trust me" he assured them never taking his eyes off Lucy who was still pissed off. She got her knife and put it right under his throat and glared. Natsu who is extremely bad shape smiled a cheerful smile. "What the fuck are you smiling at?, your injuries are too severe for you to be smiling like that?" She said spitefully. "ha, I'm smiling because you are still in there" he answered angelically.
"The hell, you are messed up in the head" said LUcy. Gripping her hand that held the knife away from his throat and his other hand around the back of her neck brought them close enough that the knife touched the lower half of his body. "What are you doing dumb ass, I could kill your right now" Lucy said confused. Still smiling, he looked at her with compassionate eyes and said "you couldn't hurt Nashi, you know why, because you felt something, that feeling in your gut, that's called love, I don't care what that nutjob said , I know for a fact he wouldn't be able to clear that no matter what he did, he he and besides that..I could never hurt you Lucy, not in a million years and you can't hurt me either. the bond we have is something nobody can understand. I know it because i felt it when you longed for me all those years ago, you woke me and that's how i know but if I'm wrong, you can kill me because I can't live a life without you" He shoved his face into hers kissing her while plunging the knife into him. "NATSU!" Erza and Gray screamed watching their comrade stab himself. Lucy's eyes flew open as Natsu held his grip on her , eyes closed kissing her.
A few seconds went by before he let go looking at Lucy stare at him stunned with a single tear dropping from her eye before he said "there you are" He gut punched her hard in the stomach forcing her to cough and spit something out. The orb that had been controlling her came up and out of her body. Shaking all over, Natsu put a hand to her cheek which she immediately grabbed and held. She stopped shaking feeling his warm touch. "Natsu"she said tenderly. " Luce" he answered weakly. "How did you know?" she asked. "When I kissed you, I smelled something coming from you" he answered. Looking at his scratches and stab wound, she started to tear up. "Oh no, what have I , what have I done" cried Lucy. "I'm not going to die, I promise, I knew where to stab myself"he said amused. "you dumb ass" said Lucy. "Just help me up" he said as she stood herself up and pulled Natsu to his feet with an arm around her shoulders. " Thank goodness"thought Gray and Erza. The leader of the mansion however was very displeased as his face turned red. "NO, THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE, HOW DID THIS FOOL FIGURE IT OUT" he ranted. "Your weak and don't understand love"Lucy snapped. "Gray , Erza can you take him?" she motioned towards Natsu.
The other two ran over to take him leaving Natsu concerned. " Don't worry Natsu, I got this, crap my keys" she said worried. "Lucy!" she heard and then saw Happy throw her keys. "Thanks Happy" she said grateful. "Now it's my turn, you dirt bag, OPEN GATE OF THE LION , LEO!" Loke showed up a second later. "I was starting to wonder why you hadn't summoned us in a while"he said "sorry Loke, I had a problem and it's this guy's fault. "" well let's get to it then" he said as she turned into her celestial lion spirit dress. "REGULUS IMPACT!"Like attacked while Lucy attacked "REGULUS LUUUUCY KICK!" sending him into the sky and the rapidly slamming back into the ground. "Damn you all" "This is why you don't mess with Fairy Tail" Natsu cheered as Lucy threw her arms around his neck making Erza and Gray let go letting him put his arms around her. Falling to the ground, neither of them cared as they laid there in each other's arms. " I love you Natsu"she said with happy tears falling. "I love you too Luce" "MOMMY!" they brought their heads up to see Nashi running towards them.
Before she could land on Natsu's injured body, Lucy caught Nashi mid air as she jumped for them. She squeezed Nashi to her saying "my baby "over and over with joy. "I missed you so much mommy" " I know, I'm sorry Nashi" "Why did you leave mommy?" she asked .Hoping to dodge the question, she hugged Nashi again. Natsu didn't say anything but he noticed. "We're glad your back Lucy"said Erza "Yeah damn flame brain needs somebody to keep an eye on him" "You jerk" Natsu got himself ready to go when Lucy grabbed at him "Your injured stupid, look at yourself"she pointed. "Ohh, right, hehe , guess I forgot" They all shook their heads while Happy said "that's Natsu" making them all laugh
After a day of hard traveling with Natsu's wounds in his stomach making it difficult to travel fast, they finally made it back to Magnolia where they went to the hospital to get his wounds healed. Then to the guild where everyone cheered having Lucy back. Levy ran and hugged her. "Lu, I'm so glad your back, I thought we lost you this time" said Levy with tears coming to her eyes. "oh Levy, don't cry I'm right here" Lucy said hugging Levy again making them laugh a little. Natsu cheered and yelled FAIRY TAIL'S STRONGEST TEAM IS BACK! Everyone raised their mugs in agreement and cheered. Lucy spent the evening talking to everyone but avoided when someone asked why she left which to her relief , almost nobody did. Natsu was thrilled more than anyone to have his Lucy back but he also knew something was up but he wasn't going to say anything now. He was too happy to have Lucy back. After partying hard that evening, Lucy, Natsu wobbly walked themselves home with Happy carrying Nashi. They immediately threw their clothes off when they got home and got into bed. She wrapped her arms around his chest and Natsu wrapped her arms around her never wanting to let go again.
The next morning, they laid in bed together for what felt like hourse before they got up. Lucy got Nashi something to eat then watched her play. Her smile was warm Natsu observed looking at him. The complete opposite of the Lucy he had to fight in the woods They were sitting on opposite sides when Natsu without warning asked "why did you leave?" "what?" asked Lucy pretending she didn't hear. He asked again more assertive. "Why did you leave?" She looked at him then looked away. Natsu stood up in a low but non aggressive voice said "Happy, take Nashi outside" Happy looked at him and then at Lucy and back at Natsu again. The only other time Happy had noticed Natsu ever telling him like that was when an argument was about to start and they didn't want Nashi to hear but that almost never happened. Seeing how serious Natsu's face was, he gently got Nashi's attention and said "let's go outside" "Okay Happy, can we go play in the water?" "Sure"he answered as he shut the door behind them leaving Natsu and Lucy alone. Natsu stood up , his facial expression unchanged "why did you leave Lucy, I know people asked you that , I know Nashi even asked you and you ignored her, are you hiding something, was there something else, why!" " I didn't want you hurt!" she yelled at him. "huh, Lucy,no, that's ."
"Damn it Natsu"she cut him off. "I DID IT TO PROTECT YOU"she screamed. 'BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T THINK WE COULD PROTECT OURSELVES, OUR CHILD, DO YOU KNOW THE GUILT YOU PUT ME THROUGH ,MRS. DONT FEEL GUILITY IN YOUR LETTER" he screamed right back at her. "GUILT, YOU DAMN MORON, I HAD YOUR HAIR IN MY HANDS NATSU! , YOUR'S AND HERS, what did you expect to me to do, just sit there, he showed me how easy it was to kill both of you and I didn't want to lose you guys so EXCUSE THE HELL OUTTA ME NATSU! she sat herself back down on the couch arms and legs crossed. Trying to calm himself and not scream anymore. he walked over to Lucy and crouched down.
In a soft almost whisper he said " Luce.. I know how you felt now..when you thought i died, i understand what you through and I'm ..I'm so sorry. Loosing you was as if the world had stopped for me. Almost loosing you before and then having you leave, I ..I " she could see his hands trembling as she reached own and laced her fingers through his causing Natsu to lift his head up. "I'm sorry too, I promise I wasn't trying to make you feel guilt or anything like that. I was terrified and wanted to tell you so many times but each time i did, that's mans voice came to my head and I couldn't do it. Both Natsu and Lucy had started crying looking at each other. " I know how strong you are and that you can protect me and Nashi from anything... I think you getting through to me proved that" . "well it's like I told him, our bond is something he would never understand. " He stood up fingers still with hers and deeply kissed her. She unlocked her hands and put them around his neck while Natsu put his hands under Lucy's legs lifting her up and holding her there.
He walked backwards with her holding onto him into a wall. She kissed at his neck, his chest and his face while he yearned for her to give him her lips back. She returned with a deep passionate kiss making him pull her even closer till her chest matched with his. He clawed his hands down her back making her moan in pleasure. "Natsu.." she called. He couldn't resist anymore as he threw her to the floor yanking his scarf and pants off and throwing hers away. She looked at him with intense eyes as he launched for her neck biting it. Moans escaped her as he covered her mouth with a hand and said "shhh..quiet Luce" He bit her again making her moan louder as he pushed himself inside her. "I said quiet"he teased. He went up and down making up for all the time he had gone through without her. After lifting his hand from her mouth, she instantly grabbed for him pulling his body towards her as she bit into his skin making him moan. "ahh, Lucy" he moaned excited. "Now, who has to be quiet,hmm" she joked. "oh, no, that's my job"he said putting his lips around hers locking them in.
After a while, they laid next to each other sweating. "well,,didn't expect that when I woke up..but I'm glad"said Lucy. "oh me too" agreed Natsu. "wanna hop in the shower!?"he asked excited. Lucy laughed when she said "no Natsu,hahaha that will just start this back up again, we can just jump in the water and cool off there, we gotta check on Nashi anyways. " She got up and put her clothes back on while Natsu had a sulking look on face. Knowing it would cheer him up she said "buuut.. there's always tonight" Perking his head like she thought he would, she winked and smiled at him as he went "eep!" excited and threw his clothes back on running towards the door with Lucy running. "Mommy" Nashi said happily. "Run you guys!,Natsu is coming" she laughed hysterically as Happy and Nashi joined in and were running with Lucy. "I'm coming for you guys!" cheered Natsu as he went to catch the people and cat that mattered the most in the world to him.
