Chapter 27th

"For when it comes to suspects as a spy on board the Exeter I don't have any right now." General Norton will say even though he was lying to him. He did suspect someone right now and why he's going to be keeping an eye out on the man.

"That's too bad General Norton. However what about this enemy target in our waters for the exercises?"
Colonel Bracken will asked with his curiosity working on high as a pilot.

"I would like you and Chief Daniels get four jets ready for a search operation and see if you're able to find this vessel before it does more damage. I told Admiral Nelson in a coded message that I would be doing this. Do you understand the order? I don't wish to have the captain interseed with the order in case he tries to counterman the order.

"I will speak with Chief Daniels and three of my own team. When do you want us to go out on the search?" He was tired and needed to eat with being hungry.

"Four hours. Just be sure to get yourself some chow and rest while Chief Daniels and his own men make ready the jets with additional fuel to keep going for at least five hours." General Norton will say with not taking any chances. "And in the meantime I plan to send another coded message to Admiral Nelson of the Seaview.

Colonel James Bracken was liking this operation finally giving himself something to do with searching for the bogey. He walked away to contact Chief Daniels on the Intercom from down below after getting all of the jets off the main deck. He answered the intercom having to be knee deep in grease and oil working on one of the jets. "This is Chief Daniels how can I help you?" He asked since he had no idea who it might be.

"This is Colonel Bracken. General Bracken wants four jets ready and including my own in four hours for an operation. " He will respond over the intercom.

"I will get right on it Colonel." He said on a neutral tone of voice and demeanor searching for his mechanics and specialists to get the jets ready. He called first engineer mate Corey Allen age 31 carrying a tool box in his hand.

"Hey! What's up Chief?" Corey will mention before continuing. "I guess the explosive didn't do any damage to the Seaview while our little surprise wasn't noticed?"

"I don't know really. However if the General is ordering a search operation. I would think they have figured it out in the first place." Chief Daniels sounding annoyed with his words and watching out for anyone to be listening in.

On board Seaview

Admiral Nelson had the Seaview as well search for the enemy submarine in these waters. Now that the day watch was in with Kowalski, Patterson Ron Hanson were running their scanners on whether or not they are able to notice a trace. Commander Harrison had come from sickbay with a full report from the doctor on whether or not some of the injured were able to come back to work. Even though Commander Charles Morton was doing better in general. He wasn't having any further symptoms of the concussion and for which was a great sign for Admiral Nelson.

He was currently at the radio shack with radioman Sparks exchanging coded messages back and forth from General Norton of the Exeter. Afterwards Nelson walked over to the radar station with Kowalski in charge. He was checking with his scanners when he had noticed signature coming from a submarine some one mile away. Even Patterson on sonar was picking up something with his earphones.

"What is it Kowalski?" Nelson placing a gentle hand onto his shoulder waiting for him to reply.

"Some type of metal contact and signature sir and we are getting closer by the minute. And I would suggest going to general quarters before they start firing missiles at us?" Kowalski heard Admiral Nelson grabbed the mike from behind him to make the announcement.

"Attention all hands. GENERAL QUARTERS BE PREPARED FOR SOME SORT OF AN ATTACK FROM MISSILES FIRING FROM A SUB." He was scanning the Control room to see if everyone was in place and including Commander Harrison. "Missile room is someone there?" He asked firmly with his voice.

"This is Chief Sharkey missile room is ready at your discretion Admiral." Sharkey was standing at the missile firing control panel while the four crew members were standing by to place the four missiles in the tubes.

"Sharkey when the order is given I want you to fire the following with number 2, 4, 1 and then number 3 in that order. We are currently tracking a possible enemy submarine.

"SIR! We have two incoming missiles coming into the port bow of the submarine." Kowalski screamed out with the objects on the screen while Nelson ordered Commander Harrison to change their course with navigation.

"Missile room fire all missiles Chief NOW? ATTENTION ALL HANDS BRACE FOR EXPLOSION!" Nelson did his best trying to hold on when the enemy submarine blew and the concussion hitting the SEAVIEW...

It was at this time when all of the emergency lighting had come on with the back up generator getting the power on all over the vessel. While there was a number of injuries with sickbay and damage control trying to find out the damage for the Control room. Though no one was answered.

Chief Francis Sharkey was picking himself up from the floor trying to gather his thoughts and the damage inside the missile room. All four of the missiles had hit dead on to the enemy bogey causing the concussion from the explosion. "I am going to the control room to see if everyone is alright. Police up this place right now and get it ready?" He ordered with opening the hatchway in the semi lighting with the generators working.

Admiral Nelson was helped up by Commander Harrison noticing that communications was currently out throughout the submarine. He asked Kowalski and Patterson to check it out while Hanson and Robbie taking over radar and sonar stations.
