Walter stood holding Paige as the tent flap closed behind Happy and the temple Mistress. "So, it is official. We're really married. I almost can't believe it."

Paige nodded with a smile as he bent forward and pressed his lips against hers. They shared three tender kisses as Walter had a mischievous thought. Walter pulled back slightly. "Perhaps we should spend this night in couple's meditation and we consummate our marriage tomorrow."

Paige stared at him. Her eyes began probing into his, trying to decide if he was serious or not when suddenly her fist flew out and hit him in his shoulder.

Walter's face lit up in a huge grin.

Paige put her fists on her hips. "Try it and we'll spend our first night as a married couple arguing."

Walter winked as he pulled against her waist, bringing her up tight against his body. "I was just teasing."

Paige smiled as their lips met and they began kissing again. Walter felt her lips part and her tongue pushed out and slipped between his lips. As their tongues embraced Walter's hands began moving around her body.

Paige gasped as his one hand slipped around and cupped her breast and his other slipped down to grip her ass.

The feel of her body under her wedding dress brought him great pleasure. He growled as he scooped her up in his arms.

Paige squealed at the abrupt action. While Drew had not been a weakling, he had never been able to do that.

A couple of hours later they collapsed into each other's arms. Walter rolled over pulling her over on top of him. He hugged her tightly against him as Paige grinned at the pressure he exerted against her.

Their love had been unlike anything with Drew. Paige had always enjoyed her love with Drew but this had been completely different. There was a deeper passion between them. Walter had clearly enjoyed pleasing her in a way Drew never tried. And that didn't include Walter humming and singing softly to her in between when they hit a lull as they made love.

As she looked into his eyes they both saw the love the other had for them. And at that moment was the last time she compared what she experienced with Walter to Drew.

Walter reached over and grabbed his backpack and pulled it over. He reached inside and pulled out a goblet.

Paige smiled. "What is that for?"

Walter grinned. "I'm a little thirsty." He grabbed the small cask of wine she had purchased for him in Oxinear and pulled it over. He slid the goblet under the spigot and turned the lever.

Paige watched as he turned the spigot off when the goblet filled. He took a quick sip and nodded. "Still good, it hasn't turned to vinegar at any rate." He held the goblet out to her.

Paige accepted the goblet and took a drink. She rocked a hand back and forth. "In lieu of something else to drink it is acceptable." She put the rim of the glass to his lips and tilted it up and Walter drank and smiled at her as she brought the goblet back to her lips and took another drink.

They drank two more goblets full before Walter emptied the cask into it. There was barely a half goblet full and he smiled as he kissed her first and he pushed in and Paige rolled onto her back as they kissed. Walter smiled down at her. He brought the goblet over and tipped it just a bit and filled the hallow of her throat with wine and he watched her smile as he bent down and sucked the wine up and licked her flesh.

He pour a few drops over her right nipple and licked and sucked on her nipple before turning to her left nipple and repeating the process. He poured it into the valley of her breasts and watched as it ran down and filled her belly button.

Paige smiled as he lowered his head between her breasts and began licking and sucking his way down her skin to her belly button.

Paige collapsed on top of Walter. Her brain was almost numb. She couldn't even sure how many times he had an orgasm so her own was a complete mystery. They both lay there panting. Paige smiled as she pulled her hair back out of her face and looked up at him. "I'm going to be completely worthless today."

Walter chuckled. "You will never be worthless to me." He reached down with both hands and grabbed her ass and squeezed and pulled her tightly against him.

Paige moaned before kissing him again.

Walter begun humming and singing to her again in between their kisses and Paige smiled.

Paige looked up in surprise at Walter as she felt his manhood twitching. "Are you serious? Aren't you sated yet?"

Walter grinned. "Does that mean you are?"

She realized then that she had more energy and as she felt him growing harder her desire was stirring again. Her eyes narrowed. Suddenly her eyes opened wide in realization. "Is that what you have been doing with the humming and singing?"

Walter smiled. "Not exactly, the song only rejuvenates the body. It can't create desire."

Paige smiled at him as her muscles bustled with energy and weariness disappeared from her mind. She kissed him hard and deeply.

Just past six the next morning Walter yawned as he watched and held Paige as she drifted off to sleep. While he felt the fatigue of their arduous love making he nonetheless refused to give into sweet sleep. The vision in his arms was far sweeter. He smiled down at her. "Who would have thought a Paladin would have as much passion and willingness to do things like you my Love. That's something the Lore books have gotten wrong. They all seem to believe Paladins are very stiff and proper, but there was absolutely nothing stiff or proper about what we did this night. At least it wouldn't have been proper if we hadn't been married."

Walter hugged her tightly and felt her stir just a tiny bit. He reached over with one hand and pulled a blanket over and covered her with it before he slipped out of their bedroll. He slipped on his shirt and pants and shoes before stepping outside of the tent.

He saw Victor and Sara sitting at the campfire and they both looked up and grinned and waved at him. He also saw the sun was rising up, bringing a gentle diffused color to everything around him.

Walter smiled and waved back. "Where are Cabe and Sir Sylvester?"

Sara smiled. "Victor told them we would stand the watch for you and our Lady. So you could just enjoy your first night as a married couple."

Walter grinned. "That was very kind of you both. Thank you. Where is the large kettle? I'd like to warm up some water so we can wash up before we have to get up for breakfast."

Sara pointed over by the wash basin.

Walter nodded as he walked over and picked up the large kettle. He filled it from the stream and set it on the fire to start heating. He walked over to the wagon and got out some towels and cloths to wash with from the wagon and set them just inside their tent. He grabbed the wash basin and a smaller pot and put them inside the tent as well.

Victor looked at Walter as he moved back to the fire to look at the kettle. "After all of that, how are you still wake, let alone walking around doing things?"

Walter laughed. "I'll let you in on a little secret, there are three of me."

Victor and Sara both laughed.

Walter had a couple of cups of coffee while waiting on the water to heat up.

"Is it okay to ask about wishes again?" Sara asked quietly.

Walter nodded.

Sara smiled. "Victor and I have talked about it a lot last night. So just what can a wish accomplish?"

Walter smiled. "Well it kind of depends. There are different sources of wishes according to the Lore books. The weakest wishes are cast by mortal sorcerers. Even if the sorcerer finds out the spell to cast a wish they almost never do because it actually taxes their body so much they will age from ten to thirty years depending on what the wish is used for. It could be used for something like bringing a recently deceased person back to life. But if not worded right they'd probably die right away depending on why they died."

"Pixies and other long lived beings usually don't care about the aging because it doesn't really impact them as much. And because of their nature their wishes are stronger. The wish could be used to bring someone long dead back to life if worded properly."

"So you could wish for lots of treasure or other valuables?" Sara asked.

Walter nodded. "Indeed but again you'd have to be careful how you worded it. Most treasure has someone who'd miss it if it suddenly disappeared. The entity granting the wish could even leave a trail that the former owner of the treasure could follow to find their treasure again."

Victor frowned. "Why would, let's say the Pixie, do that?"

Walter smiled. "You have to understand most entities like the Pixie are of chaotic natures. So they love it when they cause mischief. Plus wishes are like water. Water flows down the path of least resistance. Wishes use the most expedient path to accomplish the wish. Some of the entities are down right evil and they will twist the wish in ways you can hardly imagine. It is just best to remember the old adage, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is."

Sara looked at Walter intently. "So do you know of when a wish went horribly wrong?"

Walter nodded as he continued to sip on his coffee. "A guy who hired me for one adventure, we'd found a ring with a wish in it. When we got back to town he gave his share of the treasure, enough to live comfortably the rest of his life, just to have the ring. I had to see what he'd use it for. Sadly for him the ring was powered by a demon."

"He wished for a more wealth than he'd ever seen. He spent the remainder of his days believing he was rich beyond measure. He sat in his living room believing he was surrounded by mountains of gold coins, jewelry and gems. With servants to care for him, he died of thirst about three days later. If you ever have a wish, just don't. Sell it to a magic shop or something. Just forget the words I wish."

"That's horrible." Sara exclaimed as she shook her head.

It was nearly eight AM when he finally saw steam began to rise off the water in the kettle. Walter stood just as Happy came out of her tent.

Happy grinned and then looked grumpily at him. "So are we staying here another day so you two can rest?"

Walter smiled. "I don't know. You'll have to ask Paige when she wakes up."

"So how the hell are you still awake and out here?" Happy asked.

Sara giggled. "He said there are three of him."

Happy chuckled and shook her head as Walter lifted the kettle off the fire and entered his tent with it.

Walter laughed as Paige was softly snoring away. He carried the kettle over and sat it about two feet away from her and then got the basin, pot, cloths and towels and put them close by. He stepped over to her pack and looked inside and found her soap and he pulled it out and sat it beside the basin. He removed his clothes and knelt next to Paige's side and bent over and kissed her cheek softly.

He began singing lightly and as he performed the song he felt energy returning to his body and the weariness in his mind fade. Once he felt strong again he knew she was rejuvenated as well so he bent closer to Paige as he continued singing and as he kissed her face Paige woke up.

Paige was startled at first and almost lashed out when she saw Walter naked, and then yesterday and last night came rushing back to her and she grinned. "So it wasn't a dream after all."

Walter slowly shook his head. "Not even close, good morning my bride, my Love."

Paige reached up and pulled his head down and kissed him deeply. As they parted she smiled. "Is it time to stand watch already?"

Walter laughed. "Victor and Sara took our watch so we could more fully enjoy our first night together."

Paige grinned. "That was so sweet of them. What time is it?"

Walter pulled the blanket off of her. "I'd put it just past eight this morning." He filled the small pot with water and lightly poured it over the cloth. He soaped the cloth and he began to gently wash her as he sang to her.

Happy told Toby to drive the wagon because she wanted to ride next to Paige that morning. Since Walter was going to be busy teaching Ralph as they continued their journey.

Walter almost regretted volunteering to teach Ralph on the trip. He really wanted to spend more time with his bride. But he took his promise as seriously as his vow of marriage to Paige.

Paige looked over at Happy and smiled. "Is there something on your mind Happy?"

Happy grinned as she spoke quietly. "Come on, give me some details. How was it?"

Paige laughed. "You might as well speak normally. Walter will hear you anyway."

Happy looked at her with wide eyes. "I knew it. I looked back at him yesterday and I saw him blushing."

Paige grinned. "He said his hearing is as acute as his eyesight."

Happy stared at her for a moment. "So come on, how was your first night with him?"

"So you really do love my Mom?" Ralph asked suddenly in the middle of Walter's lesson.

Walter grinned as his eyes immediately sought out Paige at the mention of her. He nodded. "I really do Ralph." He looked at him. "You said you were really glad she married me. Do you still feel that way?"

Ralph nodded. "Mom's been so sad since Dad died. She cried almost every night as far as I could tell. But I knew when she picked me up the first day she brought you back to the Keep that something was different. She was happier. It was like his death didn't exactly matter to her anymore. Right at first I was a little mad at you because of it. But listening to you as you played your lute and singing for us, I realized what a good person you really were."

Walter's smile disappeared and he looked off to the side as tears slipped over his eyelids and down his cheeks. His other hand came up and wiped at his eyes and cheeks. "Thank you Ralph."

Greetings! Continuing to hope you are all well.

To the Adventure! -Tim
