It was a year later, 2005. Jessie and Jay had married on January 9th of that year. It had been three months and they were very happy. Since their wedding night they'd been trying for a baby. They now lived in New York City in a very fancy and expensive high rise apartment. Jessie got a job at a real estate agency and just like in Chicago, she was one of the top agents. She was at work in her office. Her office phone started to ring.
"Jessie Sonnenfield." She said answering the phone.
"I never get tired of hearing you say that." Jay said.
"Hi sweetie."
"Hi." "I wanted to hear your voice before I went to my next meeting."
"Aw."
"How's your day going?"
"Good."
"My flight gets in at ten on Sunday night." "Do you think you'll be back from Tiffany's by then?"
"I'm not sure."
"I'll wait up for you."
"Ok."
"I have to go."
"Have a good meeting."
"Have a good rest of your day." "I love you."
"I love you too."
Sunday night Jessie was at her co-worker Tiffany's house. Tiffany was throwing a WrestleMania party. John's match was on. He was facing JBL for the WWE Championship. When John pinned him and the ref counted to three Jessie jumped up and started cheering. Lucky for her so did a few others, so it wasn't as awkward as it could have been.
It was a little after eleven when Jessie got home.
"Jay?" She called.
"I'm in here." Jay called from the bedroom.
Jessie went back to the bedroom and opened the door. Candles were lit and Jay was standing there. "Hi."
"Hi." He said going up to her. "Come here." He pulled her close to him and they kissed.
The next day John was in his hotel room packing his things. His cell phone rang.
"Hello?" He said.
"Hi John." Jessie said.
"Hi, who is this?"
"This is Jessie."
"Jess?" He said feeling instantly happy.
"Yeah." "I got your number from your parents." "I hope you don't mind."
"Not at all." "How are you?"
"I'm doing great." "I saw your match last night and I wanted to congratulate you."
"Thanks."
"I've followed your career since it started."
"It's so good to hear from you." He said smiling.
