This one is short, but I really am trying to move a long..probably won't stop this story from being 70+ chapters after all we still have all of the fourth year to get through..then the fifth year..ooh Umbridge returns then...*shudders*

The summer months seemed to dance together, and go by in a blur. I always loved them, spending time with my family. but with the new Painilplity lessons; it was hard to make time. Professor Snape was ruthless with these lessons, having me study ancient texts, hand movements, and of course Astral Projection was required for this. Having to be able to enter someone else's body, take their pain and bringing their injuries and suffering on to you. It really, and I do mean really sucked.

My teacher thankfully seemed to care about me, in some aspects. He gave me full time to recover from each lesson, before going on to Occlumency, and teaching me how to navigate as a Leglimens. Being allowed into the man's mind was no walk in the park, however. I had seen things, I had never wished to see. For instance, his father, Tobias Snape, abused him as a child. It made my heart leap in my chest, as I desperately wished to embrace him. But, I did know better.

Professor Snape was a quiet man, and didn't need me to try and speak with him. He had even caught me, when I tried to embrace him after seeing his encounter with school bullies. Seeing just how much, he and I honestly had in common...it was heartbreaking. Still he would reply with a simple. "Do not concern yourself over me, Miss Malfoy." It's like he didn't understand, that if he didn't wish for me to worry about him...he wouldn't allow me to get this close to him. I did not dare say any of this out loud of course.

He thankfully gave me Fridays and Saturdays off from his lessons, I spent them how only I knew how. With my family. Don't get me wrong, I still woke early and spent the hour before morning light with my father in his study. That was kind of our thing, as he would embrace me, and ask about the prior day. We also all ate our meals as a family, and when I was dismissed from my lessons I spent the hours before bed with either my mother, or Draco. My two days off, well technically I had two and a half, because Sundays I had to meet with Deidra. The time spent away from lessons however, were almost always with Draco. We walked together, swam together, and explored together.

"Sis, you know I can't help but fear that we won't have much time with each other...in the coming years." Draco had told me, and to my discomfort I knew he was right.

If my dream of the doe was any indication, dark times were indeed coming. Then on top of all of that, Draco had started becoming smitten with a girl, he constantly spoke about her. Astoria I believed her name to me, honestly thought it was cute; but I couldn't help but be a little annoyed. If he wasn't speaking about Astoria, then he was going on and on about how Professor Snape and I were right for each other.

Needless to say, this would be the summer I would never forget. As I suspected it was my brother who had my lipstick writing, Mrs. Snape on my vanity mirror. Luckily I had it cleaned up before the man walked in. With all of that however, this was still a beautiful summer. My father started a new tradition, of he, my mother, Draco, and I all sitting on the dock to watch the sunset in the evening. He claimed it was so we could always remember what was important. I loved every moment of it.

By the end of the summer, my father took both Draco and I to see the Quidditch World cup, Bulgaria vs Ireland. My brother was most excited to see the match, while I enjoyed camping with my father. What can I say, I am a Daddy's girl. Think I've been since I met him three almost four years ago. None of that mattered as the three of us walked together, only for Draco to look down. After a small spat with Potter and his gang, to which it was mainly Draco and the Golden three.

In all honesty, the three hadn't bothered me since I was able to speak upon Sirius Black's behalf. Freeing Potter's God-father, so now Potter didn't have to return to the Dursleys. It seemed since then we had a mutual understanding, we still didn't like each other; but they didn't try to harm me. They even spoke to me casually, maybe age did bring upon wisdom. I was still going to stay with McGonagall though, and if I spent any time with my house..then it was with Fred and George Weasley.

Even Draco didn't seem to mind the two particular Weasley's as we became a rather interesting group. Five Slytherins, three Gryffindors, and one Ravenclaw. All we needed were a Hufflepuff and we would be the embodiment of Hogwarts, at least that was how George put it. Which we all couldn't help but find closer to the truth.

"Arthur." My father called suddenly, after the little spat had been over. "Would your boys George and Fred like to join my family?"

The Weasley patriarch, looked surprised before looking to the twins..who both looked surprised. "Can we Dad?"

"Yeah, George and I like Amelia." Fred agreed.

"She helped to save Ron she did." George piped in.

Arthur seemed unsure, before he nodded. "Go on."

The twins moved quickly to us, and we walked to what Draco said was the best seats in the house. "Thanks for inviting us, Mr. Malfoy." Fred exclaimed happily.

"Your welcome…..um.."

"Fred, Daddy." I replied.

George laughed. "Amelia is the only one who can tell us apart."

"She can see you." Draco replied simply.

"It's nice, it is. Not being confused for the other...even our own mother can't tell us apart." Fred explained.

I chuckled softly, while curling up into my father softly. He gently ran fingers through my soft blond locks, that were now shoulder length, and straight as a pencil. My father seemed to be eyeing the twins carefully. "May I ask the two of you something?"

"Sure." George replied.

"Ask away." Fred agreed.

"Is it just your younger brother who has a problem with my Amelia here?" I looked up at my father with confusion, as to why he was asking.

George shrugged. "To be honest, we don't think Ron dislikes you at all Amelia. He's just let Harry warp his mind."

"It's Ginny who doesn't like you, the rest of us Weasley's admire your bravery." Fred added.

George nodded. "Only reason Ginny doesn't like you is because she likes Harry."

"Has eyes on him constantly." Fred added.

"He's all she talks about." George agreed.

I curled my lip. "She could do better."

"Oh we agree." Fred said simply. "Our father even only just tolerates Harry, only because he was close to the Potter's."

"Real close." George stated.

I nodded, knowing now from Professor Snape's memories that the bullying seemed to be hereditary...James Potter bullied the older man constantly when they were growing up. It's what led him to become a Death Eater, not completely...as his father's abuse helped.

"Our mother seems to think the same with Ginny, but that's because she's trying to play Cupid." I heard Fred explain, right as the Quidditch players made their way to the field.

Draco pointed. "Dad, seems like Krum has noticed Amelia." I heard, which caused me to look up.

My lips curled in disgust at the man, he seemed to be nothing but a brute to me. He eyeing me like a beast who had found his prey. "No thank you."

"That's my girl." My father replied simply.

"Can we ask a question now, Mr. Malfoy?" Looking over to George.

"Go ahead."

"Are you glad she doesn't think much of Krum, or that no boy has caught her eye?" Fred asked.

My father smirked at this. "What do you think?"

"D.A.D.D." George replied.

"What?" Draco asked.

Fred answered. "Dad's against daughters dating."

I couldn't help the giggle that escaped me, it died as soon as I saw my brothers smirk. "You two don't know."

"Draco." I glared darkly, he wasn't.

"Know what?" Fred asked.

"Amelia crashed on Snape's couch." My brother stated simply.

My father seemed to not like what my dear brother was insinuating. "Draco."

"What, I'm just taking the Mickey." The blonde boy replied with a smirk. "You know it to be true, Mrs. Snape."

"Professor Snape has taught me a few curses I have you know." I hissed, which caused my pale brother...to become a ghost.

"Okay..okay...future Mrs. Snape." My brother replied, while George and Fred started laughing.

"Daddy!" I cried.

"Draco!" Our father hissed at him. "Behave….just remember your sister could do far worse than Snape."

I could not believe my ears, jerking up I looked to my father in shock as he grinned wickedly. "Not funny."

"Hilarious." Fred replied simply.

"Not as funny as having Lavender going after your brother." I shot back.

"Oh don't remind us." George groaned.

"Agreed." Fred also groaned.

After the Quidditch match, the Bulgarians won. I was surprisingly approached by Krum, my eyes must have shown my annoyance..as I could hear my brother chuckling as he stood beside me. "Hullo...Vot is your name?"

"Malfoy." I replied simply, I knew I was coming off as a little rude...but I didn't really care to be approached. Plus, Krum was not It..least not for me. I wanted someone taller, paler, longer hair, and knew his way around a library-shit did I actually have a crush on Professor Snape?

"Valfoy?" Krum asked curiously, before noticing my brother. "Zis your zister?"

"Yes, and let me tell you...you are not the one." I looked at my brother with a grin, glad that even if he teased me he would always have my back.

"Zat, for her to decide." Krum argued.

I shook my head, turning to walk away with my brother. We both ignored the calls the Bulgarian player gave to me, a few in his native tongue..and by the dark look my brother gave I could tell they weren't friendly.

We walked back to our tent, right as my father came running out. "Both of you inside! Now!" He said urgently, right as an explosion could be heard. "Draco, you stay with your sister!" He added, pushing us both inside.

My grey eyes widened just like my brothers, as we were then huddled inside the mansion of a tent. "Draco, what's going on?"

"Death eaters." My brother replied calmly, his eyes narrowing in concern. "You are my sister, but they would know you were originally muggleborn...they would hurt you."

"You don't have to scare me…" I replied calmly, as I trembled. I could see several muddy brown auras mixing with the few good ones, though my gaze stayed locked upon our fathers. 'Stay safe, Daddy.'

0.o.0

Our father was alright, but he refused to let either one of us go. Which was probably why, both Draco and I were huddled up together in our parents bed. I was closest to our father, Darco to our mother. Both of our parents held on to us, as if they were afraid we would be snatched in the middle of the night. Truth be told, both Draco and I were equally fearing our lives. I knew my father was a spy for Dumbledore...and that he was very close to Voldemort...I knew this from seeing Professor Snape's memories...both my father and him defecting from the Dark Lord around the same time.

I also knew that Death Eaters were confirming everyone's fears, Voldemort was coming back..probably faster than any of us anticipated. "Amelia, we won't let anything happen to you." I heard my father whisper. "Nor you Draco."

"I know father, they would hurt Amelia far worse." I heard my brother whisper, as I moved to look up at him. "Stay near me, or Snape at all times at school..McGonagall can be trusted as well."

Nodding my head softly, feeling my mother gently touch my arm. "You will always be a Malfoy, no matter what happens." She told me simply. "You will always be allowed in this house."

"Yes, Mum." I replied softly, snuggling deeper into both my father and brother. Sleep never came to any of us that night, as the sound of birds greeted us in the morning light. Still we all stayed curled together, before something or rather someone began triggering the wards.

"Stay here..all of you." My father ordered, my gaze followed him..as I could make out a muddy aura entering the house.

I'm not going to waste anytime...oh wait I just did.

1)Who was at the door?"

2)When will Dumbledore share the prophecy from Christmas with the Malfoy family?

3)Where do you think Amelia will go, while the Malfoy estate is invaded?

Nature Faustus.
