Steven and the others continued to watch as Matthew was tortured for information about the rest of the Crystal Gems, especially Rose Quartz. Steven on many occasions wanted to intervene and try and stop what was going on but Sapphire and warned against it.

"Steven I know you want to help; we all do … but if we blow our cover now then we will all end up like that … please, try and keep it together … for now. We'll get him out soon …"

Steven was reluctant to just stand and watch but he had no other choice, otherwise he would end up just like him, they all would.

Each member of the group hoped that Bismuth and Amethyst would have their part of the plan ready to go by now, they just wanted to stop seeing Matthew so broken. It didn't help that he was Half-Human, the blood was everywhere but that didn't bother the Moonstone, all she cared about was finding Rose Quartz.

-Bismuth and Amethyst-

They were currently doing their part of the plan and setting up explosives outside the facility, not enough to massively damage the facility or anyone inside but enough for people to investigate and hopefully leave the others inside alone.

"Hey, Bismuth, are you done over there? All the explosives over this side are ready to go."

"Just about … done! There we are, all the explosives are set, we should head back to the ship."

The two of them boarded the ship and took off with the remaining Rubies, they made sure that they were far enough away so to not damage the ship but close enough so they could see anyone leaving the building.

Bismuth handed Amethyst the remote. "Here Deep Cut, you can do the honours."

"Ohhh yeah! Let's mash it up!"

BOOM

The explosion was powerful, probably more powerful than they anticipated but that didn't matter as long as it did the job.

Matthew's holding cell shook as a loud and powerful explosion went off, the Moonstone reacted accordingly and went outside to investigate. Matthew thought to himself that it might be his chance to escape but how could he? He had a broken leg and lost quite a lot of blood; he could barely keep himself awake.

That would stop Matthew thought, he forced himself up and started to lip towards the door. The Moonstone had left it open for some stupid reason, but he was thankful for it.

He held the wall close as he limped through the facility, not knowing where to go, he had to get out of there quick.

Sapphire was leading the others to where Matthew's cell would be, it was lucky that explosion happened when it did, otherwise any longer and Matthew might succumb to his injuries.

The blast was more powerful than any of them thought, it was probable for the best as almost immediately all the Guards ran outside to see what was happening. Even the Agate left and told the Sapphire and her group to "Stay put."

The group ran through the now empty halls of the facility until they saw the corner they needed to turn to find Matthew's cell.

Matthew was limping down the hallway as fast as he could, he looked further ahead to see that it was a dead end. Upon closer inspection he realised that he was about to turn a corner.

As soon as Matthew turned the corner …

WHAM

The group watched as Sapphire and Matthew crashed into each other, everyone was shocked to see Matthew up close, there was more blood in person.

Sapphire and Ruby quickly helped up Matthew. "Matthew I'm so sorry … I didn't see that you would escape your cell when the explosion went off …I'm sorry"

Matthew gave a small smile. "Don't wo…" He was cut off as he fell unconscious in Ruby and Sapphire's arms.

The others looked at each other confused on what to do until Sapphire stepped up. "Okay everyone, we're continuing with the plan. Navy and Army help Ruby by carrying Matthew. We need to find the exit into the Kindergarten."

Everyone nodded and they all continued together to try and find the exit that lead out into the Kindergarten. Each member of the group was worried about Matthew and how much blood he's lost, Steven had to plan to heal him then and there, but it would increase the risk of being caught so he'll have to heal him when they find their way into the Kindergarten.

It took the team a while, but they managed to find their way into the abandoned Kindergarten and found a big space to lay low in. As the Rubies set Matthew down so Steven could heal him with his spit, they heard moving from some rocks behind them.

Pearl was the first to investigate and was met with a small orange Sapphire. "Erm … who are you?"

Before the Sapphire could respond a fusion between a Ruby and a Pearl came out. "She's … Padparadscha … she can only predict things that just happened … I'm Rhodonite …"

Before Pearl could respond she was met by the Rutile twins. "We are the Rutile Twins … Who are you … why are you here?"

Again, before Pearl could respond she was face to face with a giant fusion of 6 gems. "Greetings … I … am … Fluorite …"

Pearl finally managed to say something without being interrupted this time. "I'm Pearl. I'm a part of the Crystal Gems that protect Earth, we came here to save a friend and now we are hiding from Homeworld."

Padparadscha predicted something. "Oh my, I see that we will make a new friend."

Before anyone could respond, the rest of the group caught up to Pearl and managed to see all of the Off colours. Most of the were surprised and interested. Especially Ruby and Sapphire, as they did not see a fusion of love with so many gems before.

The two groups came together to share storied between them, as this happened, while Steven really wanted to join in, he also had to make sure Matthew got fully heal up, and that's what he intended on doing …
