After leaving the Zoldyck estate, Vividus and the others are on their way back to the main city. Sitting on the train, Vividus sat in between Kurapika and Killua, while Leorio and Gon sat on the other end of the seat. Everyone was chatting up a storm and updating Killua about what happened after he left. How Gon was stubborn and refused to use his license until he defeated Hisoka and gave back his tag. The Kurta woman
The thought of Hisoka hitting Gon like that was definitely something the Jester would do. Sweat Dropping a bit, she would sigh knowing it is all part of his plan for Gon to grow stronger and fight him.
"Do you even know where Hisoka is?" Killua asked. Which caused Gon to laugh nervously in response. "I'll take that as a no…"
Vividus placing her hand under her chin, she started to think on where Hisoka might be. Realizing where he might be, she was about to speak out until Kurapika cut her off.
"I know where he is."
Leorio raised an eyebrow, "You do?"
"Yeah," Kurapika replied, "He told me."
The Platinum-blonde felt her stomach suddenly turn. She would look over at her brother nervously not liking where this is going. "Was that what he told you during the fight?"
"No, this was after the exam." Kurapika replied, his eyes closed as if he was in thought.
"I've been itching to ask…" Leorio started, "But what did he say to you?"
Feeling the atmosphere suddenly grew dark, Kurapika looked at the group with serious eyes. But his attention was mostly on Vividus. "He told me that he has some information regarding the spider."
Her heart dropped a bit more. Kurapika went into great detail about how he didn't remember mentioning the Phantom troupe to Hisoka or anyone outside the group. Narrowing her eyes down at the ground.
"I do not recall mentioning the Phantom Troupe to Hisoka. So either he overheard our conversation during the first stage, or he heard it from another."
Vividus bit her lip nervously. Knowing full well that the reason why Hisoka told her brother in the first place: was because of her. She remembered his words replaying in her mind on how Hisoka told her she can't protect her younger brother forever. He knew very well that Kurapika would get involved whether she liked it or not. She failed on her end for not being able to enforce it sooner, let alone putting off the conversation since the Exam started. She started to self doubt herself more and more as he talked about the troupe.
"The spider is the Phantom Troupe's symbol, so those familiar with the organization refer to the Troupe as such. I was interested in the information he was going to provide."
Hearing Kurapika talk more about the Troupe was making her mind feel a bit dizzy. Every time someone mentions them all she could remember is Chrollo and what the others did to her. How Chrollo ordered Pakunoda to lock away her memories so she wouldn't come after them, let alone lock away everything about Kurapika and her family.
"Before the Orientation. I asked him about it. He said that he shall await us in Yorknew City, on September first."
Leorio ears perked a bit, raising his eyebrow once more. "Wait...us? What did he mean by that?"
At that point, Vividus finally stood up from her spot. The boys looked at one another puzzled by her sudden action. Clutching her hands into fists, she stared at the ground in frustration.
"He was referring to Kurapika and I," Vividus said. Giving her full attention to Kurapika with a serious gaze. "He knows that you and I want to hunt down the spiders. So that's why he said us ."
Kurapika frowned. Why was she suddenly so upset? "Onee-san, are you ok?"
"I'm fine," Vividus replied, stepping out of her seat. "I'm just...going to excuse myself for a bit. Continue your conversation without me."
The boys looked at one another confused by Vividus's sudden outburst. Killua tried to follow Vividus to see if she was ok but she reassured the Zoldyck child that she's fine. The boy didn't believe a single word she said, but decided it was best to leave it be and leave her alone.
As for the rest, everyone else was confused by her sudden outburst. Leorio looked over at Kurapika with a worried expression on his face. "Is your sister ok?"
The blonde teen frowned, unsure himself on what suddenly got into his older sister. Looking at the spot Vividus once sat in, he frowned and shook his head. "I...don't know."
~.: Kurapika:.~
Once everyone arrived at the airport, everyone parted ways and reconvened at Yorknew City for the World's Auction on September first. With Gon and Killua decided to head to Heavens Arena and face up against Hisoka, Leorio went home so he could get his medical license to become a Doctor.
In terms of Vividus and Kurapika, both have decided to spend some time together and catch up. Now that they both obtained their Hunter's licence, the first stop they decided to head towards was back home to the Kurta Clan village.
Prior to the siblings parting ways with the others, Kurapika could tell that Vividus was really upset from the topic earlier when they we're talking about the world's auction, the phantom troupe, and how Hisoka was the one who gave Kurapika Information about the spiders.
Every time he spoke about it, Vividus would always seem to either get suddenly sad, quiet or angry. But no matter how much emotion was spreading across her face, she never spoke up about it. Kurapika wanted to talk to his sister to see what was on her mind. However, he thought it would be best when they got back home.
Thanks to their hunter license's perks, it was extremely useful to head back to their home village and managed to arrive there in a matter of days. When they entered the village, the first thing they did was head back to their old childhood home and fixed up the place. Despite the damages that were laid out throughout their old home, it was still inhabitable enough to sleep in for a couple of days. Fixing up the damages was easy.
Once they finished fixing up their old home everything seemed to go back to its respectful places, the kitchen looked brand spanking new and the bedrooms were neatly made. It was as if nothing happened.
Since they got home, neither of the two really walked about what happened between them when they got separated. They were either too focused on wanting to fix up their old home, or neither of them didn't know how to bring it up. The siblings would talk about any other topics BUT her disappearance. Kurapika was starting to get nervous. He knew that he had to bring it up or else his Sister would keep it to herself.
Sitting on top of the roof, Kurapika would climb up onto the roof to see his sister watching the sunset. The wind blowing gently through her hair with a cup of hot coffee in her hands. She looked like she had a lot on her mind.
Walking towards her, Kurapika would take his seat beside his sister. Having his own cup of hot tea in his hand and decided to join his older sister to watch the sunset. The last time they did something like this together was when Kurapika and Vividus we're children. Watching the sunset was something they enjoyed doing together because of how beautiful it looked.
Looking over, Kurapika could see that Vividus hadn't said a word. By the way she was tapping on the side of her cup, she was extremely nervous. He didn't blame her for feeling this way, it has been a long time since they've had a moment like this. If the younger brother had to admit something to himself, he was just as nervous as she was.
Especially when Vividus admitted and thought he was dead, let alone vice versa.
Letting out a small sigh, Kurapika would take a sip of his tea. The blonde teen decided to muster up the courage and bring up the topic that he wanted to talk about so badly. Now that they are alone, no one could get in the way of discussing their family matter.
"Onee-san, I think it's about time we talk about it," Kurapika said softly, taking his gaze away from the sunset and over to his older sister.
Hearing the tapping stop, Vividus took a small sip of her coffee. She stayed quiet for a bit, clearly looking like she was hesitant to talk about it...scared even. Which was very uncharacteristic of her because she's never usually the one who gets scared easily. But soon let out a tiny sigh and gave Kurapika her full attention. Looking at him with an unreadable expression on her face.
She didn't say anything, but by her expression: she is ready to answer any questions Kurapika has for her. But what do you say? What do you ask someone who you thought was dead this entire time?
He remembers Vividus sending him and their parent's letters as much as she could to update them on what's happening in her life. Her thoughts, feelings and sent photos of her adventures. Every time he remembered reading her letters, it was like she was right there.
When Vividus's body wasn't found when the Clan was massacred, he did everything he could to try and find where his older sister was. Trying to find answers at such a small age, but as the years went by: there was nothing. So he assumed she was dead just like everyone else. He thought if he accepted her death, it would make life easier. However, more questions just kept arising.
During the exam, meeting her there was the least expected place he thought he would encounter her. Seeing her standing there with Gon at the Nemere Wastelands was something he wasn't ready for. His older sister he thought was dead, there, alive and well. Watching the way she acted in the exam made him have more questions for her. What was her weird relationship between Hisoka? Why are Killua and Vividus we're so close to one another? He doesn't know where to begin. As much as he hates to admit, seeing how close she was with the Zoldyck child made him a bit jealous. But he didn't want to show that side of him. He knows she has her reasons.
Kurapika's goals when he became a hunter was to first find out what happened to Vividus and why she disappeared. That was his number one goal before he worked as a blacklist hunter and hunted down the Phantom troupe for revenge. He thought that maybe after the Hunters exam, he would be ready to ask Vividus a lot of questions he wanted to be answered.
Finally, after so many questions he tried to ask his older sister. He figured out the question he wanted to ask first. He looked at Vividus as a serious expression on his face. His Grey eyes boring deep into her Hazel-Grey ones. Trying to build up the courage, his chest started to tighten inside of him when he finally asked the question. "What happened to you?"
