A/N: I apologize this chapter is super short. Just a filler here...I try to write up to 1.1k words per chapter.
Madi and Aden quietly enter the room and close the door.
"Doesn't matter how quiet we are, Leksa will know." Madi said very quietly to Aden.
"She is Heda, known for the best." Aden whispered back sitting on the floor.
"Shh...you two." Lexa mumbled.
"I told you so." Madi smirked.
"Are you okay Heda?" Aden asked seeing the bandage on her shoulder.
"Aden, you don't need to call me Heda when it's just us four. Just Leksa or mom." Lexa waking up and trying to sit up.
"Mom? Isn't going to be confusing with you both mothers?" He asked nervously.
Clarke feels Lexa moving and she immediately helps her to sit up without much pain shooting up to her shoulder.
"Just Leksa, Aden. Less confusing to me." Madi said smiling.
"Ow..." Lexa moaned from the pain.
"I need to change that bandage and put the ointment the healers gave me to subdue the pain." Clarke ordered.
"Please...this hurts more than getting cut by a sword." Lexa getting up with Clarke's help.
"We'll be back you two. When I dress Leksa's wounds she'll read to you both."
Clarke said seeing the two-run on the couch leaving a space in the middle for Lexa to sit.
Going to the bath having Lexa sit down so Clarke can change the bandage. Slowly pulling the old bandage off and hearing Lexa hissing at her. Gently applying the ointment over the and around the stitches and recovering them.
"So are we also taking in Aden?" Clarke
"Why not? He acts more like an older brother to Madi than just a friend. He's also the only Natblida I've been training for the past five years." Lexa explained.
"You sure like your motherly role." Clarke said smirking at her.
"I'm not doing alone and neither are you. Aden looks up to you as a mother as well. I can see it, even when he feels nervous around us when you both first got here. Now he can call me Leksa only around family." Lexa explained again.
"Family. I love our little family. I wouldn't trade it in for anything else." Clarke mentioned and kissed her.
"I do too. It's another best thing I have and cherish with you." Lexa said kissing her back.
"Can you two stop kissing!? Leksa come read to us! Please!" Madi yelled from the other room.
Clarke and Lexa just laughed at their needy child. They go back to the living room area. Lexa sits in between them.
Clarke leaves for a moment to go to Madi's room to grab her sketchbook. Coming back sitting in the chair drawing the three on the couch smiling at the precious moment. She takes out her charcoal pencil and draws the three sitting in front of her. Clarke finishes the drawing smiling at it then closing her sketchbook and nods off from storytime.
"Clarke...?" Lexa whispered being stuck between the children that have fallen asleep on her.
Clarke woke up blinking a few times to focus her vision. She looks over at her love.
"Yes?" Clarke said smirking at Lexa.
"I'm stuck. Little help here..." Lexa said with a little whine.
"I have to carry Aden to his room. He's a bit too old to sleep with us as Madi does. I'll be back to grab Madi off you. I don't want you to strain yourself. " Clarke walks over to Aden picking him up.
Clarke leaves her chamber to take Aden back to his room. Laying him down in his bed and tucking him in. She walks to the door, stopping looking over at him and smiles for a moment then leaves his room quietly closing the door behind her.
"I want five more guards for Aden." Clarke ordered Indra.
"Yes, Clarke. I'll have five more for him soon." Indra replied leaving to gather those who are loyal to Heda and won't disobey either one of the Heda's.
Clarke goes back to hers and Lexa's chambers. She picks up Madi and settles her in the middle of the bed. Then looking back at Lexa.
"You should sleep on my side, so your not laying on your injured shoulder. Plus Madi won't roll on to your shoulder in her sleep. It's going to be tender for a few days." Clarke explained.
"It's probably for the best so I don't injure it anymore." Lexa said standing up walking over to Clarke's side of the bed and slides in under the furs.
Clarke follows suit climbing into bed getting under the furs sighs.
"The next few days are going to be rough. I can't show my injuries during the meetings with the other twelve clans." Lexa whispered.
"Then rest up as much as you can. I'll take care of everything else for now. What happened to Titus?" Clarke replied looking over at her.
"I have him arrested. I plan on killing him myself. I can't have a flame keeper that craves war all the time when I just want peace with my family." Lexa said looking back over to Clarke.
"Rest up, we'll deal with him together." Clarke said leaning over Madi to give her a kiss.
Lexa kissed her back then laid back down to drift off to sleep. Clarke does the same. Madi snuggled up against Lexa's good shoulder. All three are fast asleep and will worry about the problems tomorrow.
