Dear diary week 24 May 1st through May 10th

May 1st dear diary we spent today working on school work I can't believe we only have this month left before a 3.5 month break. We will spend all of next month in serious wedding mode July will be a special trip to visit different places. August will again be wedding mode and also a very very special birthday for my great grandma she will be 100 and yes diary shes still working the 2nd part of September is the wedding. We spent the day working on our final history projects I was working hard on my paper on the civil war. As we worked I kept an eye on grandma as her carer is dealing with family stuff and needed to make a couple phone calls. We all worked really really really hard as we only have 15 days this month and lots to finish. We worked right through lunch so we could get as much done as possible. After we picked up the little ones from the bus we decided to take the kids to the park for a couple hours as its beautiful outside. When we got home I made Mexican chicken for supper before having the girls start there homework we ate really fast since mom had taken grandma to the doctor.
When mom got home with grandma she sat us down and told us that grandma is very sick with cancer and probably wont be here very long 6 moths at the most. I started crying as did Elsie. Emily and Clara looked very confused so when mom finished talking and was comforting Elsie. I took them aside and explained to them the same way mom explained to me at 3 about my great gran that grandma was a kind of sick that doctors couldn't fix her they both looked up and burst into tears. I held them till they calmed down then mom took them while Elsie and I decided to take a short walk to clear our heads. We walked to the park and back we are still upset but we know that god is taking care of grandma. Well going to sign off and go have iced tea with mom grandma and the girls.
May 2nd dear diary we spent another full day working on school although Elsie and I were both rather quiet. We had already let the gang know what was going on Luke had hugged Elsie While Zack hugged me. We worked until mom called down and reminded me that Marie Claire Elsie and I had eye appointments we all need new glasses and we had grabbed the younger 2 since there first ever glasses are here. We stopped for a very quick lunch then mom dropped everyone but me off at home. she needed my help at the shop since her main assistant had gone on maternity leave the day before when she had her first baby. When I got back home Luke was cuddling with Elsie who was crying she had tripped and really smacked her wrist on the edge of the patio wall. I called mom who had me call Dr Lucy for advice she recommends taking her for an x-ray in the morning if it still hurts and icing it tonight. I took over and cuddled her while Luke went and grabbed a towel full of ice. He then held her hand while I held ice on her wrist and called mom back. We went and grabbed the little kids before we headed to our art class where we worked on a pointillism piece. When we got home along with Jeremy Luke Marie and Claire since there parents are all away on business we relaxed I had Elsie re ice her wrist its swollen and a bit bruised ouch. Mom brought home salads and sandwiches from the deli for supper as its getting to warm to cook a lot. We then set up the basement for a sleepover since its really hot and that is the coolest area in the house. Well signing off mom just called down for lights out.
May 3rd dear diary today I went with mom Luke and Elsie to the ortho to have them look at her wrist since it was more swollen when she got up. We found out she fractured a bone at the base of her baby finger along with her ulna ouch poor girl. She is in a splint till her swelling goes down then will get a cast. We were leaving when the school nurse called Clara had gotten her thumb slammed in a door and she needed to be checked out. We went and grabbed her and met Dr Lucy at her clinic where she took an x-ray and determined along with a crack in the tip of the thumb she needed stitches. She ended up with 12 stitches an a splint and will lose the nail ouch poor girl. All of us girls have now broken a bone and needed stitches as have mom and grandma. We went and Grabbed Emily since she was due for a quick set of blood tests and I needed my yearly labs done. We then went to lunch before dropping the younger 2 back at school as they have play rehearsal tonight. When they got home we grilled chicken and fish for a yummy dinner. We made home aid ice cream for dessert yummy yummy yummy. Mom had me get the little 2 into bed while she got the tea things ready I am signing off so I can wash Elsie's hair.
May 4th dear diary we went on our last field trip of the school year to a local farm where we learned about milk production and a few other things. When we got back I started a pan of fish stew for an early dinner since we had a neighborhood meeting to attend later in the evening. We picked the kids up from the late bus and we ran home to eat. We then watched all the little kids while the adults were at the meeting. when we were done we went for our first triple cream milkshake of the year yummy yummy yummy my cousins loved them. We went home and I helped mom set up grandmas bed out in the living room so she can stay cooler. When that was done I headed to the basement signing off so we can watch a movie.
May 5th dear diary we had another really really busy work day so we can hopefully finish school early. We worked all the way through lunch and till it was time to get the kids when we got them home we went back to work. We had them work on there work as well until we had to leave for another art class. When we got home we made taco cups for dinner we ate when mom's fiancee got off work since he was helping address invites. When that was finished we took a walk in the park before going for slush puppies yum. When we got home I put the younger 2 in bed while mom helped Elsie with a quick sponge bath. Well going to sign off and go read for a while
May 6th dear diary we all finished our last few assignments for this school year so are almost officially finished with school for the year. We decided to take a day to go summer clothes shopping. We started at a local tween teen shop that was having a massive sale. I helped Elsie find a dress for her elementary move up ceremony while Susie helped Theresa. When that was done we went to a shoe store for sandals and slip on crocs. We then went to another local shop for a few more special pieces. We hit up Walmart on our way to the bus stop to grab the younger kids. We picked them up and dropped them at an end of year party at a local paint your own pottery place. We then ran errands for mom while we waited for them to finish we picked them up and headed home where I made seafood quesadillas. When we finished eating we took grandma with us on a walk. When we came home we got her settled and we all had tea with her. I then put the younger 2 in bed while Elsie went to her room to read and I decided to work on a sewing project mom just called for lights out so talk to you tomorrow.
May 7th dear diary we had several special events today Elsie was promoted from younger elementary to older Elementary as were Amanda Charles Elizabeth Luke Claire and Theresa. We then went to the transition promotion for Sam and Jake who moved to the last 4 years program. From there we had the little kids spring play which was adorable Clara was a door mouse which was so cute. We then had awards night followed by a special dinner for everyone. When we got home I had the 3 younger girls get ready for bed since its really really late. I had a quick cup of tea with mom and I am heading to bed so I will talk to you tomorrow.
May 8th dear diary we had a fun busy busy day we went to the Disney store to use our gift cards we had received at Easter. I was able to get my animators collection girl dressed as Eeyore doll gift set I have had my eyes on for a long time. Each gift card was exactly enough for the person to get a gift they have had there eyes on. Sam was excited she found the 2 pack limited edition Peter pan and Wendy baby animators doll 2 pack. Kimi Kya Lil and Ali each found a set of princess animators dolls they had been eyeing. Angelica Kate Jamie and Susie each found a gift set of the girls dressed as dolls while JiYeon found her first animators babies set of moana. The guys all got super hero merchandise. We then headed to finish shopping for summer clothes and stuff like that.
We had lunch at an Indian fusion place which I really didn't care for. We ran to the library the bank the post office and a few more locations. We then ran to my mom's so she could take Clara and Elsie with her for there doctors appointments. When they got home Clara's stitches are gone and Elsie now has a lavender full arm cast she will wear for 8 weeks. The group has canceled our trip to Spain as we would rather help mom with wedding prep help our families at there shops and So Elsie and I can spend time with grandma. We ate a quick cold supper so that we could go to the first outdoor movie of the Summer. We just got home so signing off and getting ready for bed talk to you tomorrow.
May 9th dear diary we had long busy day we had appointments and then had a few other errands. When we got home we had to relax in the camper as mom said grandmas having a bad day. We decided to camp out in the camper so mom could take care of grandma. We are not having a great night so will talk to you tomorrow.
May 10th dear diary no wonder we were all having bad days yesterday we all woke up with a stomach virus icky icky icky. We headed inside and mom said she and grandma also have the stomach virus. We all spent the day being sick and just feeling like shit excuse my mouth. Mom ended up calling Dr Lucy to come start re hydration drips since none of us could keep anything down. She came and got us all set up with fluids and a shot for nausea we then fell asleep for several hours. We all woke feeling some better and were able to eat some bone broth mom thawed out. We figured out most of the gang has this same crud as Dr Lucy said she had already treated her family Zack's Family and my cousins and was heading to Phil and Lil's house and while she was here Tommy's dad called. She also had treated Jack's family late last night along with Kimi's and Min Jun's. As she was Leaving she got 4 more calls From Angelica's dad Harold's mom Jamies Mom and Kai's Tito. Ali's mom had her out to treat them and Alex early early this morning I know this as there duplex is next to ours and I saw her car. Jeremy and Luke are at my cousins so they were treated there. This is some nasty shit again excuse my mouth but I really do not feel great so I am signing off till tomorrow.
