"I will call him to start putting the plan into action. And including recruiting Luke Harris into the fold for the right price. It's the only way to get him to change his mind and killing his security people in the witness protection program in California." Jerome said quietly with his voice in the kitchen.
"Then do it. Call him in the living room while I listen into the conversation. Do I make myself clear with the order?" Captain Brighten said with venom with the order as they moved into the living room. While Fornell wasn't able to take the shot.
While Loreile could from a closet, however her crazy new found friend Special Agent Gibbs moved in to wave his weapon in front of Brighton and Jerome. "I suggest the both of you throw away your weapons down to the ground." Gibbs stated.
"Well, well, well. The mighty and great Leroy Jethro Gibbs leaving the hospital to come here?" Brighton smirked with his words.
"When need be especially someone has been trying to kill me and others the past few weeks." Angered with his hand shaking slightly from his right shoulder and the nerve damage.
"You're not going to be living much longer Special Agent Gibbs. Because there are others that will be trying their hand at murdering you for a huge payday."
"I highly doubt it Captain Brighton. We already know everyone that is involved in the plot." His heart was racing along with his blood pressure. He was wondering why Fornell wasn't coming to help him with placing the cuffs on them.
Jerome spoke up for the moment. "Oh, really Agent Gibbs! You're not that smart to know everything. Your ass is so much always trying to figure out the obvious than rather to know what's not obvious. You seem to be very unsteady at the moment agent Gibbs." Jerome said with trying to push forward towards him.
"I am fine. I suggest you don't move while I wait for my back up." Gibbs said.
"Do you really think I was going to be here with just Jerome? My source was able to tell us your little plan to come here after all. We have placed a gun behind's Fornells back right now." As another associate pushed Fornell out from his hiding place with a forty five stuck into black jacket.
"What the hell happened Gibbs?" Fornell needed to ask with seeing the way his friend was looking at the moment.
"Some sort of a mold that we never expected to happen Tobias. And now we are here with these three jackasses with no backup." Gibbs said with holding his side with the associate taking away the gun from his hand.
However all of the sudden time went slowly as shots were fired in rapid concession with Brighten, Jerome and the other man falling to the rug. Fornell ran to help Gibbs to move away onto the couch to sit while he checked the bodies.
"Good shooting Tobias." Gibbs breathing hard with his lungs hurting like hell.
"It wasn't me Jethro, I believe it was someone else." Fornell said when he saw Loreile come out from the shadows with her weapon in hand along with Doctor Taft following behind shaking his head.
"It was me, guys. These jerks deserve what they got from me and thensome." She and Fornell bent down to check for the pulses of all three men. Of the three only Jerome was barely alive while the other two were dead with the blood flowing out of the bodies. "And Jethro don't even say a word to me since I need to get back to the safehouse in a hurry. I suggest you call Ducky and Palmer to the scene and the rest of your team to investigate the shootings." She said calmly giving orders to Doctor Talf to check on his patient having to be a real mess.
Gibbs was feeling just awful in every way. Especially when it turned out to be his future wife. It was just amazing on how she was able to take the three out so quickly. "I don't even want to know right now Loreile, I suggest you get going now before they find you're missing."
"I am going. However Doc please call me later to give me an update on his condition." She said taking a last long look at Jethro on the couch looking really pale.
"I will Loreile, now get out of here while I take care of him. He's going to be at his house in Alexandra recovering as part of the deal to let him out." Doc said with taking off his glasses for a moment before placing them back on again watching her leave out the back way and her vehicle. "Now let me get you checked out before NCIS arrives."
"Is Jerome still alive Tobias?" Gibbs looked over with Fornell shaking his head with a negative demeanor. "It's too bad that we weren't able to get anything from them?" Gibbs said softly with his throat dry all of a sudden.
"Oh, yes we do Jethro. Did you forget that we have intel on the new movement from The Calling and the new leader taking over to try and get Luke Harris to join once again now 19 years old." Fornell stated with Taft placing a new bandage around Gibbs head and his shoulder with his arm shaking from the shock.
"Ouch! That hurt Doc. As for the question I haven't forgot about it. My mind has been swirling ever since I had gotten hurt." He stated trying to turn to face Fornell.
"I am sorry Jethro. I am just needing to make sure you're alright with your stitches and or a infection. By the way what did you think of Lt. Loreile Baskins using her weapon in the line of duty Agent Gibbs?"
"Are you serious Doc? That woman knows her job as a protector and she no doubt didn't flinch at all while firing putting down those those. She reminds me too much as myself being on the wild side when I was younger." He said to have Tobias Fornell and Doctor Taft chuckling at his dry sense of humor.
"She has more sense than when you were younger back than, however she saved your ass and mine for the most part. I just hope that no one finds out at the safehouse with what she did. I won't be saying a word to anyone and I hope Doc you won't either?' Tobias asked with turning to face him checking his friend's right shoulder.
"Nope!" Doctor Taft replied with a slight smirk on his face.
