"So when do you get to go home?" Mike made himself comfortable sitting on the end of her bed while she laid back slightly with Sebastian asleep across her chest
"If your able to sneak me out of here I'll love you forever" she laughed instinctively rubbing a hand along Seb's back soothing him much more for herself than him
"No can do Miss McGregor you'll need a full bill of health before you'll be coming home" he wiggled her foot
"Your no fun" she scrunched her nose up with a grin Mike poked his tongue out at her.
"I think someone might be hungry" Mike pointed to Sebastian who was moving across Kate's breast
"Oh, did you bring a bottle?"
"Why don't you try feeding him?" he pointed to her very noticeable bigger breasts
"I was in a coma Mike" she reminded him
"Yes I know that but" he moved off the bed and towards her side carefully picking up Sebastian as she sat up
"Your body would be aware you've given birth so there's still a possibility you would have produced milk"
"You think so?" she asked nervously
"It's worth a shot, come on whip it out" he grinned
"Whip it out?" she smirked fiddling with the hospital gown
"Sorry please take your breast out so you can feed our son" he laughed watching her pull the gown down over her left breast he carefully placed Sebastian in her arms and he latched on almost immediately he began suckling away
"Well I guess that solves the mystery of why my boobs were bigger" she looked across at Mike who had a wide smile
"Hmm" he groaned when her free hand made contact with his arm
"Oi"
"Sorry, sorry" he nodded sitting in the chair
"Best behaviour please children present" Kate smirked before looking back down at Sebastian
"How does it feel?" he reached a hand across and interlocked it with her free one
"Natural" she squeezed his hand
"You have no idea how many times I've dreamt of this moment"
"Really?" she looked across at him with a raised eyebrow
"You bonding with Seb get your mind out of the gutter" he laughed
"Sorry" she nodded with a grin contently staring at him
"What?"
"Just etching you into my brain so I don't forget" she smiled
"Forget?" he asked confused
"Just how amazing you are" she replied watching him move forward rest his forehead against hers
"I love you" he whispered before meeting her lips in a soft kiss.
3 Days later…
"The kids are asleep" Mike grinned from the doorway
"Really and why should that interest me?" Kate shrugged standing near the bed and pulling her hair into a messy bun his shirt she was wearing riding up and exposing her thigh
"Well…" he moved across the room to stand behind her slowly moving his hand across her back and around her waist
"Mike…" she moaned at his touch resting into his chest
"I've missed you" he whispered in her ear when she moved around in his embrace placing her hands on his chest she looked deep into his eyes
"We can't…" she sighed looking across at Seb who was asleep in his crib
"He's asleep, won't be awake for hours" his hand roamed down her back pulling up her shirt
"Mm" she moaned when his lips made contact with hers all thoughts were lost from their mind pulling back from the kiss briefly he pulled her shirt off and threw it on the floor
"Definitely loving these" his hand moved along her chest before slowly laying them against the mattress kissing along her neck he smiled when she began pulling at his shirt with an eagerness of wanting to get it off.
"Wow" Kate giggled falling back into her side of the bed
"Definitely need to do that again" Mike grinned rolling onto his elbow to face her
"Anyone would think you missed me"
"Well maybe I did" he reached a hand across and brushed the hair out of her face
"Hmm" she smiled moving to lay on her side so she was facing him
"It's good to have you and your amazing body home" he wiggled his eyebrows at her his head moving forward and meeting his lips against hers again slowly he pushed her back into the mattress
"Mike…" she moaned at the feel of his hands roaming across her chest just like hours earlier
"Mmm" he sighed when a small crying filled the room
"Well that was fun" she patted his chest before moving back picking up his discarded shirt she pulled it on
"I'll go make some coffee's" he smiled watching her pick Sebastian up he pulled his boxers on.
"Everything okay?" he asked when she entered the kitchen minutes later
"Yeah he was just a bit restless he's gone back to sleep" she smiled leaning against the bench
"Coffee or Tea?" he held up her mug
"I'm fine" she shook her head
"Is everything alright?" he asked concerned watching her lean against the bench
"Yep" she nodded not noticing him come up next to her
"Kate" he placed a hand on her back
"I just can't help thinking about how much time I've missed out on" she turned to face him
"Kate you've only missed out on a month" he rubbed her back in comfort
"Yes but it wasn't just things with Seb that I missed out on it was Sophie and Cleo, they haven't left my side since I've been back Sophie won't let me go in the car and Cleo won't even let me get my own drinks" she sighed
"They just care, it's been hard for them"
"And I get that…" she looked down at her feet avoiding his gaze
"Kate…"
"I love them I really do but I can't deal with them and you on top of it all"
"Me?" he asked confused
"Don't get me wrong you know I love you…"
"But"
"Having you watch my every move if its feeding Seb or just getting the girls ready for school"
"Kate you were in a coma"
"Yes and you don't need to keep reminding me!" she pushed him back
"Kate" he went to move towards her again
"God your making this all so difficult, I know I was in a coma and I know I didn't get to hold my little boy or be there Soph or even Cleo but you constantly reminding me it's..."
"Okay why am I the bad guy in this situation I'm just trying to support you" he said confused
"YOUR SUFFOCATING ME!" she yelled running her hands through her hair
"Kate I…"
"I can't do this, it all too much I just want to be trusted; trusted by my future husband that I can handle myself I don't need a babysitter"
"I'm not trying to contradict you I just want to know that its real that you're here" he sighed stepping towards her
"I am here but your suffocating me Mike" she teared up
"I'm sorry" he grabbed her shirt and pulled her into a hug she rested her head against his chest her own arms wrapping around him
"It's going to take time for me to get back to my normal self I know that but I need you guys to trust me that I'll do it in my own time" she shifted her head to look up at him
"Okay, but the minute you need help"
"I'll ask, I promise" she smiled weakly
"I just don't want to lose you again" he sighed sadly moving his head and resting it against hers
"I'm not going anywhere" she met her lips against his in a reassuring kiss.
The next morning Kate was leaning on her elbow watching the rise and fall of Mike's chest when his eyes slowly fluttered open
"Did you get any sleep?" he yawned looking across at her
"Some, he woke at twelve, four and six" she shrugged
"Why didn't you wake me" he grabbed her free hand and fiddled with the ring
"You've been dealing with it for a month and besides you were pretty out of it" she grinned
"Are you sure you're going to be okay today?"
"I'll be fine; besides you can't really afford to take any more time off work" she moved to sit up
"I know I promised it's just…"
"Mike" she raised an eyebrow at him pulling on his chest hair
"Ow, okay; okay" he laughed pulling her against his chest his hand slipped under the back of her shirt
"Not now, I've got to get the girls ready for school" she tried to hide her moan
"Cleo can do it" he answered shifting to pin her against the mattress
"Mike…" she began saying before she was silenced by a passionate kiss he moaned before shifting to hover above her pulling his lips back he looked down at her with a smile
"I love you" his eyes sparkled down at her
"I love you too" she moved her head up inches away from his lips a cry filled the room sighing softly Mike dropped his head into the crook of her neck
"I'll go, you get in a shower" he kissed the side of her neck before shifting off her and out of the bed.
It would appear I may have used all my inspiration for those 3 chapters I posted yesterday... So the next Chapter might be a skip forward to the wedding, so hope you enjoy this update Xx
