Its the next day and it is the day of the big cross country race. Aunt Zoey, Nani and I are lined up at the starting line. my friends and my family were behind us, watching us. "now this is a 20-mile course with 24 obstacles.

but this is the 5-mile mini-course with five obstacles. and no three riders are allowed to jump at the same time" Bailey said. "good luck Zoey and Lana, may the best rider win" Nani said. "are you trying to sike me out?! because if you are,

it's not working" Aunt Zoey said rudely. "Aunt Zoey!" I said. I looked at Nani. "sorry about that Nani" I said. "it's okay" Nani said. "ready?" Bailey said. "ready!" we all said at the same time. "and go!" Bailey shouted. we took off.

we galloped towards the first jump. "catch me if you can" Aunt Zoey called. we all galloped and when we reached the first jump we cleared it.

the second jump was easy too. then we cleared the third jump. Aunt Zoey and Pepper were going way too fast. Nani and I stayed back.

Zoey was way ahead of us. we then cleared the fourth jump. when we got to the fifth jump it looked hard and a little bit Scary. I braced myself for the jump.

Aunt Zoey did the jump first. when she did the jump she and Pepper fell. "Zoey!" Nani said. "Mommy!" I cried with worry. "lets go check,

and see if they are okay" Nani said. I nodded. I attempted to jump over the fence to help Aunt Zoey and Pepper but that was a fail.

when I jumped over the fence Skyler slid on the floor and I fell off Skyler. "are you okay Lana?" Skyler said. "yeah Skyler I am okay" I said.

"you?" I said. "yeah I am fine" Skyler said. I then walked over to Pepper. "Mommy?" I said with concern on my face.

"hey Lana" Pepper said. "Mommy are you okay?" I said. "yeah Lana don't worry I am okay" Pepper said. "Zoey, Lana are you guys okay?

how are Pepper and Skyler?" Nani said. "somehow I am okay, but I am worried about Pepper" Aunt Zoey said with worry.

Aunt Zoey then walked over to Pepper to check on her. Aunt Zoey felt Pepper's legs. "she's okay!" Aunt Zoey said happily. Aunt Zoey then,

got on Pepper. "go Pep. we got a race to win" Aunt Zoey said as she sped across us. Nani and I coughed as dust went in out faces.

"geez, what is her problem today?" I said annoyed. "I'm not sure but let's finish the race" Nani said. "okay" I said with confidence.

Nani and I then got on our horses. when we got on our horses we did the jumps again. after we did the jumps we caught up to Aunt Zoey. we then galloped towards the finish line. we were all neck and neck when we got to the finish line.

when we crossed the finish line, Nani and I ended up winning. our friends and my family ran up to us. "so exiting" Sarah said. "yay!" Aunt Chloe said. we all got off our horses. "nice job Lana" Mufasa said. "thanks" I said.

"good race Zoey" Nani said. "yeah" I said. "bottom line, I lost. and I broke a nail too" Aunt Zoey said angrily. "come on Zoey, sure you lost points due to the coffin fall but your time was still really good" Sarah said. "Sarah is right Aunt Zoey.

I fell in the coffin jump too and lost some points but I still ended up winning" I said. "show's what you know. I'm going inside" Aunt Zoey snapped.

"wait Zoey" Nani said. "I enjoyed competing but I don't wanna be team captain. that position belongs to you" Nani said.

"really? what kind of a girl are you anyway?" Aunt Zoey said. "I am a horseland kind of girl. just like you" Nani said smiling. I smiled too.

"come on, let's go inside and get cooled off" Sarah said. I nodded. "okay" I said. we then left the course and walked back to the barn.

"come on Lana, I need to give you your bath now" Uru said. "okay mom" I said. "we will be in the house in case you want to hang out with us" Sarabi said.

"okay thanks, Sarabi" I said. "your welcome Lana" Sarabi said as she smiled at me. Uru then picked me up by the scruff of my neck,

and carried me to my room. when we got to my room Uru set me down and I took my clothes off. after I did that I laid in Uru's arms.

as Uru was giving me my bath, I couldn't help but worry if Scar saw me fall off of Skyler. "Mom?" I said as she was licking me.

"yes, sweetie?" Uru said. "do you think Scar saw me fall off of Skyler on the last jump?" I asked her with worry in my voice.

Uru looked at me with concern. "why are you so worried about that?" Uru said. "well Scar said that if I embarrass him then he will punish me" I said. "I don't think he saw you fall sweetie. he was standing behind us and I didn't see you fall.

I only heard your friends shouting your name with worry" Uru said. "oh okay, but how could you tell I fell?" I asked. "I could tell when they shouted your name. I was worried for you myself so was Ahadi" Uru said. "oh okay" I said.

"do you think dad is mad at me?" I said. "he is not mad at you sweetie, he was worried about you just as much as I was" Uru said. "Okay" I said. "Im gonna finish cleaning you now so you can go hang out with your friends and the rest of the family" Uru said.

"Okay, mom" I said. Uru then finish licking me clean. after she finished cleaning me I got my clothes on and went inside the house. when I got there,

I saw the rest of my family and my friends and Nani the newest member of horseland sitting in the living room. "hey Lana,

you made it just in time" Nala said. "okay, cool" I said. "what are we all doing" I asked. "we were thinking about having a movie night,

to celebrate Nani's arrival and the cross country race" Simba said. "cool, what movie are we gonna watch?" I asked.

"were gonna leave that up for you, Nani, and Zoey to decide" Mufasa said. "okay thanks" I said happily. I was excited to have a movie night.

Nani Aunt Zoey and I then started talking about movies that we wanted to watch. we finally decided, and the movie we wanted to watch is frozen 2.

"lets watch frozen 2" Nani said. "okay, I will put the movie in" Sarah said. "okay great" Nani said. we then all got comfortable for the movie.

I had my blanket over me and I rested into Ahadi's and Mufasa's arms. "are you comfortable enough Lana?" Ahadi said.

"Yeah dad I am comfortable" I said. "okay that's good" Ahadi said. when the movie started, everyone was quiet. during the movie,

I sang along to all the songs. my favorite song I sang along to was 'into the unknown'. after a while near the end of the movie I felt myself getting tired.

I then fell in a deep sleep in my dad and my brother's arms.
