"Okay... that makes me question my theory about Fuma." He said.
"Oh, let's here it." I said as felt my cracked rib, the laughing fit had made it worse.
"Well I thought that you were something that wasn't entirely human, as during the U.S.J. Incident Midoriya said for you to forget your people's pride, and during the Calvary battle you said that you were bred for battle, which makes no sense if your father was a farmer." He said and I froze, which he didn't miss. "I'm right aren't I?"
"Fuma." Deku said but I put up my hand to get him to be quiet.
"Todoroki, I can't tell you the full truth... at least not right now. It's still a very sensitive topic for me. But understand this, if you keep trying to dig into my past there are things worse then any villain to walk this planet." I warned him. Black eyes met with grey and blue. "One day... I'll be able to tell everyone, just stay quiet about it. For now."
Chapter 24: Shinso Vs Fuma
I walked into the arena, a cement fighting platform had been made by Cementos, I walked up the steps and crossed my arms, my side aching from the cracked rib. On the other side of the arena stood the blue haired, tired, general studies student. His expression darkened as he looked at me. "I want this to be a good clean fight!' Midnight said, "Keep the dirty stuff in private... for now." I rolled my eyes.
The bell was rung.
He looked at me and smirked, "Your friend is a fool, he gave up his chance to preserve his honor. Do you know how many missed out on that chance?" He asked.
"Plenty, I'm sure." And I felt it. My body no longer moved at my command.
"And after he explained to you how my quirk worked, you still answered my question. Now, be a good girl and walk out of the ring." He ordered.
As my body twisted my side flared up and I stopped as my body and mind came back to my control. "Looks like I was right." I turned back to him a smirk on my face.
"How did you break out of my quirk?" He took a step back.
"Pain breaks your control." I fell under his command again.
"Yell that you forfeit." He commanded.
I took in a deep breath, but this also caused pain in my side, coming back to my senses I had to stop myself from laughing. "Since the end of the first event I've had a broken rib." I lifted up part of my burnt shirt to show the ugly bruise on my side. "Had Ojiro not told me how your quirk works, I would have gotten it fixed after the Calvary Battle. Shame, it's a powerful quirk in it's own right, but like my teacher once said, you can't be a hero if you only have one trick. Train your body as well, I don't think this will be the end of you being a hero." I put up a hand and his body glowed with ki.
"W-what is this?" He asked shocked as power ran through his body.
"I transferred half of my power to you, so that we can have a fair fight." He was to distracted to use his quirk. "So you done asking questions?" I asked.
"A fair fight... fine if that's what you want." He charged me launching a punch at which I dodged easily, as caught himself I brought my knee up into his stomach, he stumbled back as I pressed him with kicks and punches. I ducked under a fist grabbing his arm and throwing him over my shoulder stepping around his arm with one leg and fell down with all my weight. I sickening snap was cut off by his scream of pain. I stood back up as he held his broken arm. Shinso stood back up, the power I gave him fading quickly. "The hell..."
With one straight kick I knocked him out of the ring. "F... Fuma wins..." Midnight announced.
I looked up at the crowd, a few were shocked, others disgusted by what I had done. I shrugged my shoulders and walked to Shinso. "Some more training and you could have stood a chance." I said.
"Tsk, whatever." He stood up as Recovery Girl walked up to both of us.
She looked at his arm, "Hmm, a clean break." She kissed him on the cheek before she turned to me. "You took that too far."
I just rolled my eyes as she healed me.
I walked out of the arena with Shinso. "Do you really think training my body for next year will help me?" He asked, "Even if I have such a evil quirk."
"It's only evil, if you let it be." I said, "We all have our own demons Shinso."
I walked away from the general studies student, my mind thinking of my people. Most of them would have just blown him away immediately. 'Is something about me really that different from them?' I shook my head before walking up the stairs to 1-A's balcony.
My eyes blinked open in my pod, space speeding past, 'Why am I awake?' I asked my self.
"Fifty!" Celron's voice yelled through my scouter. "DAMN IT! FIFTY WAKE UP!"
"My name is Astero." I rolled my eyes as Romne giggled, her laugh grating my ear.
"Fifty, we have a issue, our allies on earth has sent Boreal a broad cast, and we have a issue." He growled.
"What is it?" I sighed. He has always referred to me by my power level, I pulled out my tablet and brought up a image.
A girl in burnt blue and white clothes, fighting a blue haired boy in the same out fit. "The girl, it's Fuma."
"You say that name like it means something to me." I retorted.
"Do you want me to destroy your pod?" He yelled through the coms. "That girl is my sister. I don't know how she survived the destruction of Planet Vegeta."
"Your worried about that vision again, the one you had eight years ago." Romne said, her voice a hungry purr. "Well you know we can't let her live, she's actively in our way."
I thought back to when I was first assigned to the Lunar Hunters, when it was part of the Freeza Empire. We had been assigned to wipe out a planet but a mystic had cursed our captain with a vision of the future, one he has been trying to change. He has never told us what it was, only that it included his sister. "I'll watch the broadcast, you two go back into stasis, I'll wake you up if there is anything new."
"Fine by me Fifty." I gritted my teeth as he shut off his comms.
"Enjoy the world's 'entertainment'. Fifty." Romne clicked off
"Damn brutes." I rewound the broadcast to the beginning, and opened up a food compartment in my pod. 'This is going to be a while.'
And chapter complete.
