"THOSE ARE YOUR CHOICES"

"Yuuei has finished its first semester and started summer vacation. However, those of you who are trying to be heroes-"

"-He starts our morning with that?"

Nejire muttered as she stares at him in disbelief beside me. "It's an encouraging speech, Nejire-chan!", Mirio said cheerily as he gave us a thumbs up.

"The speech seems to be working well", Tamaki commented as he pointed at Class 1-A. The four of us stare at the whole class, who are listening intently to Aizawa.

"... I'm glad Aizawa-sensei isn't our homeroom teacher", Nejire said as we kept staring at the scene, "I paled at the thought of doing the things on their schedule", she ended.

"I-I think the test of courage is fun", Tamaki admitted as he fidgets nervously as the Class 1-B arrived. "Truly a 'scary' outcome!", Mirio beamed.

"I think they've lost it now", I said as I stare at Uraraka whose dancing around together with Mina and Kaminari. "Maybe Aizawa-sensei broke them already", Nejire mused as she taps a finger on her chin in thought.

"What? There are people in Class A taking extra classes?!"

'Right, I forgot about him for a moment there'

I deadpanned as Monoma began his antics. "A-Another scary first year", Tamaki commented as he hides behind me, barely glancing at the first years.

"I like his energy!", Mirio exclaims as he gave me a thumbs up, which I sweatdropped. "Oh~! I heard there's a lot of strong firsties in Class B!", Nejire said as she looked at Class B, eyes shining in excitement.

"I got so many questions!", she exclaims and I sweatdropped at her sudden change in attitude.

'Seems like she's back to her energetic self, huh'

"Oh she hit him", Mirio mused as he watched Kendo dragged Monoma on their bus. "Sc-Scary", Tamaki stammered as he watched behind Mirio.

"Look, Tamaki-kun's girl version!", Nejire exclaimed as she pointed at a gray-haired girl from Class-B. I blinked and stared at the girl.

"She kinda acts like Tama-kun too", I said, amused at the sight. "Sh-She has eyebags", Tamaki noted, now standing beside me.

"Don't worry, Tamaki. No one can replace you!", Mirio said as he gave him a smile, comforting him. I pursed my lips in thought as I try to remember her name.

'Uh... Shiro? no no no... Kino? Ha... damn it'

I mentally sighed as I give up trying to remember her name.

"Class A's bus is this way!"

"Oh right", I mused as I turn to look at the trio. "Aren't we riding together with Class 1-A?", I asked which they nodded. "Aka-chan, you should try doing that", Nejire said as she pointed at Iida, who is waving his arms around frankly.

She stifles a laugh, "It will be so much fun!", she exclaimed. I deadpanned at her as the four of us head towards the bus,

"Don't even think about it, Nejire-chan"

"Everyone the bus will stop once in about an hour. After that-"

"Let's play some music!"

CHATTER CHATTER CHATTER

"Did Aizawa-sensei said something?", Nejire asked as she continues to eat some chips. I chuckle as I looked at the scene in front of me, amused at their antics.

The four of us are seated on the very back of the bus. A little cramped but we'll live. It goes like this: Tamaki, Mirio, me, and Nejire.

"What a lively firsties!", Mirio beamed as he, too, eat some chips. "We're like some kind of bodyguards", I said still amused at the sight.

"D-Do you want some chips too, Aka-chan?", Tamaki asked as he held out a bag of chips which I accepted.

"This kinda feels like a field trip!", Nejire said as she turns to give us a bright smile. "I'd like that adventurous though, Nejire-chan!", Mirio replied as he gave a thumbs up.

"Well we better get comfy since this is going to be a long ride", I said as I leaned back on my seat as I began to eat my chips. Nejire leaned closer to me, letting out a mischievous smile.

"Wanna take pictures of them once they're asleep?"

"Aka-chan"

I let out a yawn as I turn to look at who wake me up. "We're here", Mirio said softly which I blinked at him, a bit dazed.

'Huh? I fell asleep... on Mirio?'

I began to blush furiously as I pulled away, immediately looking away as I cough awkwardly. "R-Right", I stammered as I hastily stood up and stumbled in the progress.

'Shit!'

I thought as I closed my eyes, expecting to fall on the ground.

"Gotcha!"

I opened my eyes and stare surprised at Mirio, who managed to catch me. "Here you go, Aka-chan", he said as I helped me stand up.

"Th-Thank you", I said, a bit shyly as my blush deepened. "Anything for you, Aka-chan!", he said with a bright smile.

"Let's go now, shall we?", he asked as he held out his hand. I let out a sheepish smile as I hold his hand, "Y-Yeah", I said, still a bit dazed at what happened.

'I think my heart just fell out a couple of times'

We went down with our hands holding one another with me still looking a bit flustered.

"Hey, Eraser!"

The two of us stopped behind Nejire and Tamaki who are standing beside Aizawa. I blinked as I watched the two Wild Wild Pussycats introduced themselves.

"There's a kid with them", Nejire noted as she watched. "Could be one of theirs", Tamaki said, a bit absentmindedly which Nejire nodded.

"They are a four-person hero team who set up a joint agency!"

"Here we go again", I said as I sweatdropped as Izuku entered his fanboy mode. "Ara-ara, Aka-chan~", Nejire said as turns around to face me only to let out a creepy smile.

"I didn't know the two of you are official now~", she said as she wiggles her eyebrows. I blinked at her and froze as what she said sank in.

I immediately looked down to see our hands still connected, making me blushed brightly. "N-No th-this isn't!", I stuttered as I pulled my hand away and wave my hands around embarrassed.

"Oh~", Nejire said as she covers her mouth and looked at me mischievously. "I got pictures~", she said, eyes glinting in mischief.

I just froze as my blush deepened on what she said.

'P-Pictures?!'

"Now now, don't tease her too much Nejire-chan", Mirio said as he saves me from a lifetime of embarrassment. "I-I approve, Aka-chan", Tamaki said as he gave me a thumbs up.

'A-Approve?'

I mentally panicked as I try to understand what he meant.

"Greet them, everyone!"

The four of us immediately went to our one line formation- Mirio, me, Tamaki, and Nejire- facing them as Aizawa glances over us.

"Nice to meet you!", we all greeted them with a bow.

"We own this whole stretch of land here. You all will be staying at the foot of that mountain", Mandalay said as she pointed at the direction of the cabin- or well where it was supposed to be.

"Woah... It's going to be a long walk there", Nejire commented as she whistles. "Sc-scary", Tamaki muttered as he shivers at the thought of going through the forest.

"Wh-Why don't we go back to the bus, huh? Fast.", Sero suggested as he began to retreat slowly, others doing the same.

"It's 9:30 am now. If you're fast... maybe around noon", Mandalay said as she looked at them, a scary aura around her.

"Let's go back!"

"Get back to the bus!"

"Hurry!"

"Their doomed", I pointed out as the whole class began running their way back to the bus. "I'm glad we'll be graduating in a few months now", Mirio said as he sweatdropped at the sight.

"I'm glad we don't have Aizawa-sensei as our homeroom teacher", Nejire said quietly and we all turn to look at Aizawa- who looks like he's having fun.

"... Yeah"

"I'm glad too"

"Truly a frightening thought"

The four of us shiver at that. "Sorry ladies and gentlemen. The training camp...", Aizawa trailed off as Pixie-Bob appeared by the bus.

"... has already began"

As expected, Pixie Bob used her quirk and sent everyone in Class 1-A off the mountain and landed down below.

'... It's so much scarier in real life'

The four of us froze as we stare at the scene in front of us. "Sc-Scary", Tamaki stuttered as he trembles beside Nejire. "... Is it bad that I'm glad it wasn't me", I said dumbfounded.

"T-Truly a frightening first day in hell camp!", Mirio exclaimed, stuttering at the beginning. "It's okay, Mirio", I said as I patted his back in sympathy.

"I would pee my pants if it were me", I admitted. "I would faint!", Nejire beamed at us. "I-I would probably get eaten", Tamaki added.

"Hey!"

We all turn to see Mandalay at the edge of the mountain, yelling instructions at the firsties. "Since it's a private island, you can use your quirks as you wish!", she continues.

"You have three hours! Come to the facility on your own two feet! After getting through... the Beasts' Forest!"

"... I think they're going to die", Nejire muttered as she stares at Mandalay in disbelief. "Their summer camp is much worse than ours!", she exclaimed.

'As expected of the anime series... when it comes to the main character everything went 100x times worse!'

"Oh wait!", I exclaimed as I head towards the edge, stopping beside Mandalay. "Katsu-kun! Izu-kun!", I called out as I looked down, holding on the fences.

"I put some energy bars on your pockets just in case something like this happened!", I shouted.

"Aka-chan's really an overprotective big sister huh", Nejire commented as I heard the three of them walk closer. "As expected of Aka-chan!", Mirio exclaimed.

"I-I actually got another bag here!", I announced as I suddenly held out a bag full of energy bars. "Do you guys want it?!", I shouted as I show them the bag.

"TOSS THEM DOWN, GINGER!", I pouted as I heard Katsuki's yell. "Katsu-kun, you big meanie!", I shouted as I decided to throw the bag with all my might, successfully hitting Katsuki on the head.

"YOU DAMN GINGER! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU-!"

OOF!

I struggle as Aizawa-sensei decided to trap me with his scarf. "You should stop treating them like kids, Genji", Aizawa drawled as he drags me back by the bus.

I stayed still in defeat after a few seconds of struggling. Then he continues to drag me and proceed to talk to Mandalay normally as if there's nothing wrong.

"Th-There there, Aka-chan", Tamaki said as he pats my head in sympathy, "Everything will be alright", he said, comforting me.

"That's right, Aka-chan", Nejire said as she joins at patting me on the head, "I'm the angry porcupine will scare all those beasts away", she said cheerily.

"I agree!", Mirio exclaimed as he joins at patting my head, "Everything will be just fine, Aka-chan!", he said as he gave me a bright smile.

A vein popped out on my forehead at their continued patting. Then I snapped.

"STOP PATTING ME!"

"Hai~ Hai~"

"Aka-chan!"

I let out a yelp as Nejire bumped into me, making us both fall on the ground. I groaned as lay on the ground and I deadpanned at Nejire,

"Go sit on the corner, Nejire-chan", I ordered making her tear up.

The four of us are helping the Wild Wild Pussycats to cook some food for the firsties. It seems like Nejire is a great hazard in the kitchen.

"I'M SO SORRY AKA-CHAN!"

Nejire wailed loudly as she pulled me in for a hug and rub her crying face on my shirt. "Oi! Stop it!", I scolded as I try- and failing- at pushing her away.

"N-Now now, Nejire-san", Tamaki said, stuttering a bit as he tries to calm her down. "I-I'm sure you'll learn to cook someday", he said.

'With her nonexistent cooking skills. Yeah, I don't think so'

"R-Really, Tamaki-kun", Nejire said as she sniffed and looked at Tamaki teary-eyed. "I wonder how you passed Home Economics", Mirio mused as he passed by, still cooking.

"... I barely passed", Nejire said as she sulks, which I sweatdropped. "J-Just stay in the sidelines from now", I said as I pat her back, comforting her.

"We don't want another disaster now, do we?"

"Oh! You're finally here now, meow!"

"Eight hours, huh. Not bad", Mirio mused. "Do you think we could've made it here in 3 hours?", Nejire asked as she let out a thoughtful look.

8 hours have passed and we're currently in front of the facility, welcoming the firsties back.

The four of us are standing beside Aizawa, whose standing beside Mandalay as Pixie Bob is at the front.

"I-I'd rather not think about that, Nejire-san", Tamaki commented. "Well seeing that we are the big four... I think we could make it", I said, still staring at the clearing.

The firsties began showing up, although a bit slow which is understandable.

If my homeroom teacher made us do this back when I was in the first year, I would probably ditch summer camp instead.

The hell am I doing this just to become a hero. That's why Aizawa-sensei is a devil. He's the real deal I tell you.

"Th-They look like zombies", Tamaki noted. "Well they're definitely 'walking dead' at the moment", Mirio joked which I looked at him funnily.

'Walking dead? How the hell- You know what nevermind. It's probably the author's doing anyway'

"What do you mean, three hours?!"

Nejire stifles a laugh as the firsties began to drop dead one by one in front of us. "Don't laugh at us, Nejire-senpai!", Kirishima complains, trying his best to give her a glare.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!", Nejire beamed as she walks forward, "It's just that you guys definitely got it worse than us!", she beamed as the whole class deadpanned at her.

"That is true!", Mirio added as the three of us walked beside Nejire, "I truly pity you", he said as he nodded solemnly which I sweatdropped.

'By that tone, it sounds like you're making fun of them, Mirio...'

"Neko neko neko neko!"

Pixie Bob chuckles loudly, "But honestly, I thought it would take even longer. You guys didn't have as a hard time beating my earth beasts as I thought you would", she said.

"You guys are great... especially... you four!", then she points at Iida, Midoriya, Todoroki, and Katsuki. "Oh?", Nejire mused as she tilts her head as we watched the scene.

"Were you able to act without hesitation because of experience?", she said as she licks her lips. "I'm looking forward to where you'll be in three years!", she exclaims as she heads towards them at great speed.

"I call dibs!", she announces as she began to dart towards them as I cringe and looked away in disgust.

'Okay gross. Those are my little brothers you know, oh god. Ewwww'

"Aren't you going to save them, Aka-chan?", Tamaki asked quietly as he walks beside me. "I heard she's a little desperate since she's in a suitable age for mating", Nejire whispered at us.

"Is that common for women?", Mirio whispered as he looked hesitantly at Pixie Bob. "No", Nejire and I answered in unison as we both looked at him intensely, making him sweatdropped.

"-Whose child is that?"

The four of us turn to look at Kota, who I've been looking for the whole 8 hours but failed to. "Oh, he's not one of ours. He's my cousin's kid", Mandalay answered.

"Come on, Kota. Greet everyone", Mandalay said encouragingly. "You'll be with them for the next week", she added.

'Right this is the scene where Izuku's balls are...'

I mentally sweatdropped as I watched Izuku approached Kota. "Uh- I'm Midoriya from Yuuei High School's hero course", he introduced.

He bends down and offered his hand with a smile, "Nice to meet you-"

BOING

I wince as Kota punched Izuku on the balls, making him hold on it for his dear life.

"Midoriya!", Iida exclaims as he went to comfort his friend. "You brute of a nephew!", he exclaims as he caught Midoriya from falling on the ground.

"WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO MIDORIYA'S SCROTUM?!"

"Sc-Scary... Kid!", Tamaki barely chokes out as he hides behind me, clinging on me as he trembles and stares fearfully at Kota. "H-Hide me, Aka-chan!", he said a bit desperately which I sweatdropped.

"I don't intend to hang out with guys who want to become heroes!", Kota announces and continues to walk away. I deadpanned at his answer.

'Right... he got hero issues'

"Precocious brat", Katsuki said as he looked at Kota amused. "Isn't he kind of like you?", Todoroki replied. "What? Not at all!", Katsuki snapped.

"He definitely is", I said dryly as I looked at Katsuki, Tamaki still clinging at me with Nejire and Mirio doing their best to comfort him.

"Shut up, ginger!", he said as he turns his glare at him. I raised an eyebrow at him giving him a You-Know-I'm-Right look. "I'm going to kill you!", he snapped as he angrily heads towards me.

"Enough this charade. Get your stuff off the bus", Aizawa said, catching everyone's attention. "Once you've put your bags in your rooms, we'll have dinner in the cafeteria", he continues.

"After that, you'll bathe and go to sleep. We'll start the real training tomorrow. Now, move quickly", he orders.

"Come on, Izu-kun", I said softly as I helped him up with Iida on the other side. "Get better, Izuku-kun!", Mirio said with a bright smile as he carried Tamaki in his arms, whose still trembling.

"We'll be at the boys' room, Aka-chan", Nejire informed me as she poked Tamaki continuously beside Mirio, which I sweatdropped.

"A-Ah right... I'll be there after I take care of Izu-kun"

"Why aren't you inside, Genji?"

I turn around saw Aizawa-sensei walking towards me. "I'm just feeling a bit restless", I answered as I looked back at the sky.

I felt him stood beside him as I continue to look at the evening sky. "... Is there a reason for that?", he asked after a moment of silence.

I hesitated for a moment before replying, "... I got this same feeling when the villains attacked USJ", I said a bit quiet as I turn to look down.

"Isn't that why the four of you are here?", I turn to look at him only to see him looking at me. "I trust your instincts, Genji", he continues.

"I believe in your judgment and you should believe in yourself too", he said which I blinked at him.

'Aizawa-sensei's really good at cheering me up'

I let out a laugh as I playfully bump my shoulder with his. "I'm really convince you're my secret father, Aizawa-sensei", I teased. "Shut up, Genji", he said, although I could see a tiny smile forming on his lips.

'Tsundere alert, everyone~'

I chuckle as I return to look at the sky, my worries returning as I recall what would happen in two days' time. "Ne, sensei", I started as I turn to look back at him.

"If you have the chance to change something while knowing that everything will be alright in the end, will you still change it?", I asked, a bit curious at his response.

"I think it all depends on the situation", he replied, turning to look at me. "Would things be much better if you changed it?", he asked.

"That's the problem", I said a bit solemnly, "You could never know whether it will go worse or better", I added. "That's how life is, Genji", he pointed out.

"We live every day not knowing what tomorrow will bring. What matters is the present", he stated turning to look at the sky. "If you want to change it, then change it. Live for the present", he added.

"... But what if you tried to help before but it backfires?", I asked quietly, recalling what happened at Izuku before.

'That's right... I ruined Izuku's chance of participating in the Sports Festival...'

"This is about Midoriya's accident, isn't it?", he asked which I nodded. There was a few moments of silence before he replied,

"What do you matter the most, Genji?"

"Excuse me?", I asked as I looked at him confused at the question. "In my perspective, you're scared of helping them anymore", he pointed out which I bit my lip, guilty as charged.

"I told you we're humans, Genji", he said as he crossed his arms and stares at me intensely, which I sweat nervously. "Humans make mistakes, got that?", he said, a bit aggressive which I shrink instinctively.

"But then again whether or not you help them depends on you", he said, looking back at the sky. "Do you help them and hope things will be better or-", he turns to look at me in the eye with all seriousness.

"-do nothing let your guilt eat you after. Those are your choices"

"I wish the odds of me being badass are higher than the odds of me fainting in the gas"
