Chapter 28 -

"Stark, you seeing this?" Captain America asked into his ear piece as he looked at the giant flying snake like thing that had just come out of the portal.

"Seeing," Stark's voice confirmed. "still very much working on believing. Goddamn it! Where's Banner? Has he shown up yet?" Stark asked suddenly.

"Banner?" Cap asked in a confused voice.

"Just keep me posted." Tony said before cutting communications.

"Does anyone have a plan on how to kill that?" Natasha asked as she gestured to the massive and destructive flying creature.

"Looks too thick big for a single killing curse." Grim said under his breath after casually flicking his wand and slicing one soldier in half just as Padfoot attacked the throat of another soldier. "Let me give it a shot." He said out loud before he took off into the air and flew after the big creature, one that he would simply call Leviathan until or if he discovered its actual name.

He flew alongside it and began casting a spell to check the armour, it wasn't magical thank god, but it was very thick, so much so that Harry would need to use an insanely high amount of energy just to force a killing curse through it and the body. He saw Iron Man who flying on the other side and blasting the Leviathan which showed no visible effect If it was too thick to get from the outside then that meant that he would have to kill it from the inside or make it softer from the outside. Harry decided to try the first option first and teleported a short distance in front of it before he flew straight into the creatures mouth.

"Oh shit!" Iron Man exclaimed with shock and horror. "Grim's gone guys!" He said into his ear piece. "He just went into the thing's goddamn mouth and..." Tony trailed off.

"Stark!" Natasha said into her piece. "What are you..." Natasha stopped speaking and trailed off when she saw the Leviathan suddenly start moving in an odd way before it began screeching in pain, suddenly the big creature dripped out of the sky and fell down on the ground, a few seconds later Grim teleported next to them, covered in various colored liquids.

"I am not doing that shit again." He grumbled as he waved a wand and all the liquid rose from his body and shifted into a spear before flying straight towards an incoming Chitauri chariot, the chariot driver was killed and the chariot descended down and crashed into the ground. He was glad to know that he could kill the creatures from the inside but would prefer if he found a way to do it from the outside.

"Oh crap." Barton said just as a trio of chariots flew towards them, Harry quickly put up a shield that protected them from the chariot blasts. It was then that he realized that Loki was in one of the chariots.

"Loki!" Harry growled before flying off after him, he quickly destroyed the other two chariot before blasting the chariot that Loki was sat on. The chariot exploded, but Harry didn't see Loki's body, he quickly realized that it was an illusion but a second later found himself blasted away, Harry recovered near instantly and flew off after the chariot that had blasted him and saw Loki on it, Harry waved his wand to make sure that it was the real Loki that was on it.

It wasn't, Harry destroyed it anyway, he waited for a blast to come and it did. A purple beam shot out from thin air, Harry dodged it before sending back a torture curse in the direction the blast came from. A scream was heard as the curse had connected and Harry saw Loki. Harry shot towards him, intent on making him suffer, he started by blasting the chariot he was on. When Loki fell out of the sky Grim grabbed him by his ankle and flew towards a nearby building, he slapped Loki against the building before continuing to fly at high speed and dragging Loki against the side of it.

He then threw Loki and jabbed his wand at him, sending a blast wave that caused Loki to fly back a great distance. Grim flew back after him, he grabbed Loki by the neck before flying up, he tossed him at a chariot, hurting Loki and knocking off the passenger and causing the chariot to fly into another chariot. Harry grabbed Loki by the ankle and then took him higher into the air, he held him upside down in the air by the his and aimed his wand at Loki's head, the tip glowed a bright green.

"End this now," Grim said in a calm and commanding tone. "or I end you." He said, and it was clear that he was easily willing to do so. "Last chance asshole."

"Really?" Loki said with a tired smile, it was clear that the cruciatus curse had hurt him a lot. "You're going to kill me? Do it!" He hissed.

"Fair enough." Grim replied before he hit him with a killing curse, the green light flashed and engulfed Loki, a second later Loki's body went limp and motionless but before Grim could do anymore the body suddenly changed and in Harry's hand was not Loki but was in fact a dead Chitauri soldier. Grim growled before tossing the body away.

Grim flew down towards the ground and hovered until he landed near the others. "Stupid pranking son of a bitch." Harry said under his breath.

"Best not let Thor hear that." Natasha commented. "He wouldn't want to hear you talking about his mother."

"He's adopted." Harry reminded her in a dismissive voice just as he the group heard a screech, they turned to see a group of Chitauri rushing towards them, Harry raised his wand as he was more than ready to start blasting them but it turned out he didn't need to. Thin rays of lightning descended down from the sky, eliminating the Chitauri, a second later Thor arrived, though he stumbled upon landing.

"I'm guessing you had a talk with Loki." Harry said as he gestured to the stab wound on Thor's midsection.

"You could say that." Thor nodded. Harry was about to respond when he suddenly heard a voice in his ear piece, Harry listened for a few seconds before he conjured some rope and turned it into a portkey before tossing it to Padfoot who was portkeyed away.

"What did you do?" Clint asked.

"Getting back up." Harry shrugged before turning to Thor, "Where is Loki?" Harry asked.

"I'm not sure." Thor admitted.

"What's the story upstairs?" Cap asked.

"The power surrounding the cube is impenetrable." Thor replied.

"How sure are you?" Harry asked.

"Not even Mjolnir could get through it." Thor said as he gestured to his hammer.

"It's pure energy," Barton commented. "Thor's right when he says nothing will get through it."

"They're right, we've got to deal with these guys." Stark said over their communication devices.

"How do we do this?" Natasha asked.

"As a team." Cap answered.

"If we must." Harry replied.

"I have unfinished business with Loki." Thor replied.

"Sorry to break it to you but you will have to wait in line." Barton responded.

"And I'm first in line." Harry declared.

"Save it," Cap said, "Loki's going to keep this fight focused on us and that's what we need. We've got Stark up top and that means we can..." Cap was cut off as Banner appeared alongside Padfoot, both were holding onto the rope that Harry had given them. Padfoot tossed it aside once Banner let go of it.

"You brought him here?" Natasha asked Harry.

"Fury said he wanted to help."

"Well," Banner coughed after recovering from the unexpected portkey trip, he looked around and saw damaged buildings with various things on fire. "this looks horrible."

"I've seen worse." Natasha replied.

"Sorry." Bruce said in an apologetic voice.

"No, we could use a little worse." Natasha sighed.

"Stark," Cap said into his ear piece. "we've got him."

"Banner?" Stark's voice asked.

"Just like you said." Cap nodded even though Stark couldn't see it.

"Tell him to suit up," Stark's voice replied. "I'm bringing the party to you. Get ready." Stark said, the group watched as Stark flew into view and flew towards them while being chased by a Leviathan which was uncaringly destroying everything in its way.

"I...I don't see how that's a party." Natasha commented.

"Dr. Banner," Cap said to Bruce as he calmly walked towards the Leviathan. "now might be a really good time for you to get angry."

"That's my secret Cap," Bruce said as he glanced back to the group. "I'm always angry." He added just before he increased in size and transformed into the green skinned Hulk. Hulk cocked his fist back just as it got closer and when the timing was exactly right, he punched it. The Leviathan was stopped immediately by the Hulk's powerful punch, its lower half going upwards since Hulk stopped it from the head. Its armour began breaking, exposing it's fleshy underbelly and it was about to fall on top of the avengers.

"Hold on!" Stark said just before he shot a rocket at an exposed bit of the Leviathan, Grim quickly put up a shield to protect himself and his fellow allies from the Leviathan's exploding body. The Chitauri, noticing what just happened, began screeching at them in what was either supposed to be an angry shout or a threatening war cry. Truth be told Harry thought it sounded like a dying animal.

The Hulk let out a far more threatening and impressive battle cry, just as Stark landed next to them. The team stood in a circle with Natasha and Barton preparing to fire their weapons, Hulk roared while Stark landed next to him as Cap and Thor raised their weapons, Grim's wand glowed a blood shot red. The team looked up when they saw more chariots and two leviathans flying out.

The situation was a serious one, so much so that Stark didn't even appear to be wanting to comment on Padfoot's new appearance.

"Call it Captain." Iron Man said, Grim saw the rest of the team look towards Cap and realized that Cap was apparently in charge here. Thankfully Grim didn't really have much of a problem with Cap being in charge seeing as the man was more than competent enough to lead a battle.

"Alright listen up, until we can close that portal our priority is containment." Cap said with Grim nodding in agreement, that was a good plan. "Barton I want you on that roof," Cap said as he pointed to tall nearby building. "eyes on everything, call out patterns and strays. Stark you guard the perimeter, anything gets more than three blocks out then you turn it back or turn it to ash."

"You got it." Stark nodded.

"Hey, can I get a lift?" Barton asked.

"Right, better clench up Legolas" Stark said, he was about to fly Barton up when Barton caught a portkey that Harry had made and disappeared.

"That's so cool," Iron Man commented. "by the way we are definitely going to be talking about that." Stark commented as he pointed to Padfoot before flying up into the air.

"Thor, you got to try and bottle neck that portal and slow them down, you've got the lightning, light the bastards up." Captain America said to Thor who nodded as he span his hammer before taking off into the air. "You and me, we stay here on the ground, keep the fighting here." Cap said to Natasha before turning to Hulk. "Hulk," He said, the Hulk grunted as he looked at him. "smash." Cap said, Hulk lit up Christmas had come. He grinned before he jumped in the air and towards a group of Chitauri.

"You're pretty good at this." Grim complimented Cap.

"Thanks, we'll see how good I am by the end of this." Cap replied. "I'm told that you're good at killing, that's exactly what we need right now. I want you to alternate between the sky and ground, assist whenever you can and take out as many of those bastards as possible."

"If that's what you want." Grim responded before he whistled and Padfoot walked up to him. "Boy, you stay here and listen to Cap and Natasha, kill any Chitauri who so much as look at you, got it?"

"Woof!" Padfoot barked.

"Good boy." Grim said before he took to the air.

"Grim, you've got a couple of chariots coming from behind you." Grim heard Hawkeye's voice through his ear piece.

"I know." Grim said as he casually dodged a blast, he glanced back and saw the two chariots were still chasing him. Grim flicked his wand back and sent a gust of wind that caused the chariots to crash into each other, he looked forward and saw a trio of chariots rushing towards him. Grim teleported behind them and blasted the all out of the air before descending down towards the ground.

Once he landed he ducked a punch from one Chitauri soldier before elbowing the soldier in the side, he hit the soldier with a body bind before blocking a blast from a two more approaching soldiers. Grim aimed his wand at a nearby car and animated it to drive into the Chitauri, the car tackled the Chitauri and only stopped when it had crushed the soldiers against a wall.

Grim turned his attention back onto the the spell bound soldier and waved his wand over him, the soldier's body changed until he was a giant Chitauri shaped ball. Grim waved his wand like it was a small bat and the Chitauri ball flew upwards and took out the passenger and pilot of a flying chariot, but Grim magically caught the chariot before it could drop and sent it flying so it crashed into another chariot.

He then waved his wand once more and sent a car flying into air and crashing into another chariot, another group of ground soldiers were heading towards him. Grim sent some burning chains at one of them, the chains wrapped around the body and burnt the victim. As the others looked at the burning soldier Grim quickly cast a lightning blast that eliminated them.

He then dodged under another blast before flicking his wand and turning various bits of rubble into tigers before directing those tigers towards the Chitauri group that was rushing towards him, unfortunately for the group they were too close to retreat and close enough for the tigers to easily close the distance.

Grim turned when he saw one Chitauri soldier on his own, it was at that moment that he decided to take it up a notch. He summoned the soldier towards him and the soldier landed by his feet with a screech, he tried to get up only for Harry to curb stomp him into the street. Grim hit him with a cutting curse which ended the soldier's life, he then took a bit of the blood from the soldier's body and placed it in a vial.

He teleported to where Cap, Padfoot and Natasha were fighting, Cap had just bashed one soldier with his shield just as Natasha blasted another with its own spear. One Chitauri soldier ran towards Natasha from behind but didn't get far as Padfoot had tackled him and ripped out his throat.

"Guys." Harry called as he stopped in the middle of the three.

"Harry." Natasha said.

"What's that?" Cap asked as he gestured to the vial. "Blood?"

"Chitauri blood." Harry answered, surprising Cap. "I have an idea which can probably take out a lot of them but I need about five minutes to set it up, you three need to cover me, can you do that?"

"I can," Natasha said just as Padfoot barked. "Cap?" She looked toward Steve.

"You know what you're doing?" Cap asked Grim.

"I wouldn't risk what I am about to do if I didn't." Grim replied, happy with Cap's answer as it meant that he clearly was up for helping. "You three need to protect me," He said as he kneeled down, he removed his hood and mask. "once I start I can't be interrupted because then I'll either have to start all over again or we'll have a massive boom."

"Boom?" Cap asked just as Harry crossed his legs.

"The 'Ka' kind." Harry responded before he waved his wand and created a small transparent dome around him. "Keep them away from me and keep quiet, time to start working." Harry said before he closed his eyes.

"Do you know what his doing?" Cap asked Natasha.

"No," She shook her head. "I just know we should probably listen to him."

"Woof!" Padfoot barked and nodded in agreement.

"That is one smart dog." Cap said in an amazed voice before shaking his head and focusing.

Meanwhile, in the hellicarrier, Fury was watching everything using shield's monitoring systems. He couldn't help but be horrified at all the damage caused by these aliens, it truly worried him, and if that wasn't enough then the fact there are probably worse armies out there made him very tempted to just call it a day and give in, but he wouldn't, he couldn't. If he was going to go out then he was going to go out fighting.

Though he realized it might not be necessary, the Avengers were holding their own against the army and could hopefully do so until they find a way to end this. Romanoff and Barton might be the weakest members but they were still taking out a good amount of enemy soldiers. Thor and Hulk, the two power houses of the team were smashing and crushing and being very intimidating. Fury was glad that Stark and Captain America were able to put aside their differences in order to work together, Stark even seemed to be fine with Cap taking the lead and that was slightly surprising.

There was also Grim, Grim had called himself an army killer in the past and right now he was showing just why he was called that. He was taking out soldiers with practiced ease, Fury knew Grim was powerful and deadly but know he was realizing just how deadly Grim really was, the man was changing rubble into animals, sending broken glass shards at the enemy, blowing things up and just bending reality to his will. It was at moments like this when Fury couldn't help but feel glad about accepting Grim's offer.

"Sir," Maria Coulson walked up to him. "the council is on, they want to speak to you."

"Damn." Fury said softly, this wasn't going to be good.

"Stark, you've got a few strays sniffing your tail." Barton said after shooting down two chariots with a couple of well aimed arrows.

"Oh you mean those things that are firing at me? Thanks Barton, I don't think I would have noticed if not for you." Stark said sarcastically just before dodging another blast, he fired back and took out a chariot before turning a corner, the chariots possessed speed but were not the best at turning so in their effort to keep up with him they crashed into a building. "Oh shit." Stark softly cursed when he saw a group of ten chariots fly towards him.

Before he could come up with a plan of action, he saw a red beam hit one of the Chitauri chariot pilots, the beam then transferred to the passenger and then did the same with the nearest chariot pilot and continued the process until all of the Chitauri soldiers in front of him had died, the beam then rushed towards him. Iron Man flew out of the way but it appeared to be unnecessary as the beam had flown past him and towards the Chitauri soldiers that were chasing him.

"What the fuck...

"...is that?" Cap asked.

"That's a very deadly spell." Grim explained. "It's an army killing blood spell, where I come from you get a death sentence if people even think that you plan to use that spell."

"What is it?" Natasha asked.

"The spell involves blood, now blood magic is very dangerous. What this spell does is track the blood that it's given and in simple terms it kills all those who have similar blood, so if I gave it cat blood then it would attack the nearest cat, then the next one, the next one until either there are no cats left or it goes more that five minutes without attacking another cat. If I had used human blood then I could wipe out a large amount of the world's population. The reason the spell took so long is I had to make sure it would stay limited to the Chitauri."

"Would it go up there?" Natasha asked as she gestured to the portal.

"Probably not," Grim replied. "I don't know how it'll react in space but I think as long as Chitauri are coming here the spell will be satisfied, and at the rate that they are coming in, there's going to be a lot of dead Chitauri."

"That's amazing!" Natasha exclaimed.

"Thanks," Grim replied before he glanced towards a Leviathan. "excuse me, I have to try something." Grim said before he flew off and towards the Leviathan, he flew at its side and waved his wand and the armour piece that he had waved his wand over had changed into wood, he was beyond happy when he saw that he could transfigure it, he wasn't sure at first since it was alien material but apparently he could.

Grim waved his wand again and large amounts of the Leviathan's armour were transfigured into hippogriffs, and griffins, hippogriffs being a combination of eagles and horses while griffins were combinations of eagles and lions. Harry didn't make them permanent so they would probably change back in an hour or so, but since he had transfigured them from inanimate objects they would listen to him until then, he sent them to attack Chitauri soldiers before he waved his wand over the leviathan so he could see what it looked like from the inside.

After locating the general area of the heart Grim cast a drilling spell into an exposed area of the Leviathan, the spell drilled through until it struck the heart, the Leviathan screeched in pain but Grim didn't let up and cast some more destructive spells into the exposed flesh, he kept going until the Leviathan fell out of the sky and landed on top of a building. Grim didn't waste time and transfigured the rest of the creatures armour into hippogriffs and griffins.

"Hey guys," Grim said into his ear piece. "if you see an army of half horse-half eagle creatures along with and half eagle-half lion creatures then know that they're on our side and it's best to leave them alone."

"Wait what?!" Stark blurted out.

"I'll explain later, just don't blast them."

"Sir! We have a bird in motion!" Hill shouted in an alarmed voice as she noticed a jet preparing to launch. "Anyone on the deck?! We have a rouge bird! We need to shut it down, repeat, shut it down! Take off is not authorized!"

Hill couldn't believe this, she had heard the Fury arguing with the council earlier about launching a nuke to stop the alien invasion. She was horrified when she had heard that the council wanted to basically kill New York in order to stop the invasion.

And now they had ignored his refusal and were sending one anyway!

She turned only to find that Fury had gone, she looked on the camera feed and saw Fury had run up to the launch bay with a rocket launcher. He shot a rocket at the jet and took it out, unfortunately he wasn't able to stop the second jet that flew off.

"Fuck." She cursed.

Grim had lost count on how long he had been fighting but he would have to say that it was a few hours, the blood curse that he had used along with the creatures he had transfigured had made the battle a lot more easier and combined were probably enough to take care of the whole army but the problem was they couldn't kill the whole army instantly, meaning that the Avengers still had to continue the fight if they didn't want people to die in the mean time. Grim was also tempted to use Fiendfyre but couldn't as this chaotic environment meant it was harder to control and increased the risk of civilians getting hurt, plus it was just a waste of energy unless he could get a large amount of them to stay still in one spot.

"Grim!" Fury's voice called via his ear piece. "We have a missile heading straight to the city, it's going to blow!"

"What?! Damn it!" Grim cursed before he flew off in the direction of the missile.

"I can close it!" Natasha's voice was heard through the communication devices. "Does everyone copy? I figured out how to close the portal!"

"Do it!" Steve said quickly, ignoring Padfoot who was behind him and ripping off the arm of one Chitauri soldier.

"No! Don't do it!" Harry responded.

"Grim we can end this!"

"No! I've got a missile coming and it's going to detonate, and I have a great idea about where to put it." Grim said just as he got near the missile, he flew and aimed his wand at it, he flew alongside it. "Nat! Wait for my mark, you close the portal exactly when I tell you to." Grim added before he directed the missile upwards, once they got close enough to the portal he let the missile go up and into it. "Now!" Grim cried, Natasha did as he said and the portal began closing.

Grim watched as the nuke hit what looked like the mother ship and exploded, thankfully the portal was able to close just before any damage from the nuke could fall out of the portal.

"Grim," Stark's voice said. "I just saw a bunch of Chitauri drop dead without anything touching them, is that something to do with you?"

"Maybe," Grim replied. "I destroyed what I think was the mother ship."

"Hmm," Stark hummed. "perhaps they had a hive mind sort of set up."

"Perhaps," Grim replied. "that's a question for another time, is everyone okay?"

"Still alive." Barton replied.

"Good, now we've got one more thing to take care of."

The Avengers all arrived inside Stark's penthouse, Loki had crawled out of hole that was suspiciously Loki shaped, he was trying to get back to his feet when he realized that the Avengers were behind him. He looked back, his face had various cuts on it.

The Avengers stood in front of him, they were all ready for a fight. Thor had his hammer, Steve had his shield, Hulk growled at him, Tony stood ready with his armour, Natasha held the scepter while Harry aimed his wand at Loki, the tip glowing a bright red. Clint had an arrow aimed at Loki and was ready to fire an arrow into Loki's eye the second Loki tried anything.

"If it's all the same to you..." Loki gasped as he looked at them. "I'll have that drink now." He said with a defeated look.

A.N: Wow, hi guys, hope you liked the chapter. I want to thank everyone for the various ideas they gave for the battle, unfortunately I couldn't use all of them but there's always future chapters. Also I was originally going to have either Harry or Stark take the missile up but then I just thought to myself: 'why doesn't he just use magic to send the missile up?' so then I made Harry use magic to send the missile up (shrug), just thought it'd be easier really.

"Whoever says that Disney land is the happiest place on Earth hasn't been in Harry's arms." Natasha replied.

"None of us have been in Harry's arms." Barton replied.

"The man is terrifying." Steve responded.

"Indeed." Thor agreed.

"One time I accidentally brushed against him and he turned my arms into a legs and I had to use feet for my hands." Tony said.

"How did that go?" Natasha asked.

"Well I was able to solve world hunger thanks to an idea I got from it so it was simultaneously the best and worst feat of my life."

Omake 2:

"What's happening?" Steve asked when he saw Bucky and Harry counting on their fingers.

"They got asked how old they were." Natasha explained.

"I just want to know your age." The shop keeper replied in an tired tone.

"We know!" Bucky shouted.

"Yeah shut the hell up!" Harry shouted. "Damn it! I lost count!"

"Oh fuck me too, go from the start?"

"Might as well." Harry sighed.

Omake 3:

"Where the fuck is my wand?!" Harry shouted as he looked around the room.

"Harry, please don't swear in front of my daughter." Tony said.

"But I lost my fucking wand."

"Yes but can you ask nicely, please?"

"Fine, may I please know the exact location of my fucking wand? Please motherfucker! Where the fuck is it?"

"Fuck." Morgan repeated with a grin.

"God damn it." Tony sighed.

"Fuck." Morgan giggled.

"What?!" Pepper blurted out as she stepped into the room with Harry's wand.

"Oh hey my wand." Harry said as he plucked it from her hands. "By the way, Tony's been swearing in front of your daughter." Harry said before quickly leaving the room.

Omake 4:

"Goddamn it." Tony sighed, "Thor will you please lift Mjolnir off the seat?"

"What are you talking about?" Natasha asked.

"Thor placed Mjolnir on the toilet seat as a prank." Harry explained just as Thor grinned before drinking juice from a glass cup.

"Yes and now none of us can go to the toilet." Barton said as he shifted in his seat along with the other Avengers apart from Harry.

"You look alright." Natasha commented to Harry.

"That's because I peed somewhere else." Harry responded.

"Where?"

"Right in Thor's glass." Harry answered.

"What?!" Thor blurted out as he spat out the drink.

"If you're going to prank the king then you had better kill the king."

Omake 5 :

"Hey Harry," Natasha said.

"What?" Harry asked.

"If Red skull joined the fire department then what would he say?" She asked.

"Probably 'what the fuck happened to my life that I am now working at a fire department?', either that or he'd ask about their dental plan."

"He'd say 'hail hydrant'." Natasha grinned. "Get it? Like hail Hydra but hydrant, hail Hydrant. Wait come back! I've got more jokes!"

"That's why I am leaving!"
