There was a review about wanting a proposal so here it is! I hope you guys like it!

Adrien rolled over, cuddling Marinette in his arms. He smiled sleepily, burying into the crook of her neck. They'd been dating for a few years now.

Marinette stretched, yawning as she finally came to.

"Goodmorning Princess," Adrien kissed her cheek. She mumbled a good morning, hiding in his bare chest from the morning light. He chuckled, running his fingers through her tangled hair.

"I'm hungry," he whined.

"You know where the kitchen is," she mumbled into his chest, trying to get a few more minutes of peace.

"You really want me to make breakfast?" he asked incredulously.

She paused for a moment and he thought she might've fallen back asleep. "You're right," she grumbled, pulling herself from his grasp. His cooking was less than desirable since he'd grown up with a personal chef. "But you're helping." She threw over her shoulder as she headed out of the room.

Adrien followed after her with a lazy smile, "yes ma'am."

They started working on breakfast together, Marinette showing him the ropes. They sat down at the table enjoying their breakfast when the phone rang. Marinette picked it up, nodding with a sigh before hanging up.

"We have a custom order so as much as I'd like to stay my love," Marinette began, a downcast look on her face. She didn't want to leave him alone on their anniversary.

"You've got to help out Tina," Adrien finished for her shooing her away with a smile. She smiled wide, kissing him before grabbing her purse and heading out the door.

Adrien cleaned up, his plan was already in motion. Today was the day he proposed and he wanted everything to be perfect. Adrien pulled the ring from his pocket, opening the box for Plagg to see. Plagg's eyes grew wide, it wasn't cheese but even he could tell the ring was stunning. Tikki would love it.

"It's a secret so don't spoil it for Marinette," Adrien warned. He pocketed it and got to work. Plagg went into the pocket too. It couldn't hurt to take it for a few minutes. It wasn't like he was proposing now. Plagg grabbed the ring and headed to Marinette's little boutique.

Plagg snuck into Marinette's purse, surprising Tikki.

"What are you doing here?! And what are you wearing?" she whispered. Plagg was inside the ring, the diamond end facing away from Tikki.

"I wanted to show you what Adrien got Marinette," he spun the ring around and she gasped.

"How romantic, unlike you stinky socks," she shot at him.

"Hey!" As Plagg was about to fire back the purse was being opened. Tikki grabbed Plagg and they rushed from the purse, phasing through it.

"Plagg, the ring!" In a rush, the ring slipped off of Plagg's body and towards the floor. Just as he was about to catch it, the ring fell into the vent. They stared at each other in horror before chasing after it.

Marinette looked around the room, hearing Tikki's voice but shrugged when she didn't see her. She got back to work, unbeknownst of the turmoil her kwami friends were in.

Adrien was beginning to cook dinner for Marinette. He was determined to make it good. His plan was to make steak but after a few hours and few failed attempts he had given up. He'd gone through all their meat with no avail. She would be coming home in a few short hours and he had nothing to show for his effort.

An idea came to mind, he picked up the phone and dialed. They picked up right away.

"Sweetie?"

"Sabine," Adrien whined. "Please help me, I tried to make Marinette dinner but I messed up." He sniffled as she tried to calm him down.

"Don't you worry I'll make something and we can keep it a secret," he could hear her smile through the phone.

"Thank you," he would tell Marinette what actually happened. She wouldn't be happy he wasted the meat but it was the thought that counted.

"I'll send Tom over with it," she chuckled before hanging up.

After another 2 hours, Tom dropped off bags of food. Her homemade Chinese dishes were the best. There was no way Marinette would've believed him if he told her he had made them. Tom winked at the boy before leaving, patting him on the back. They really made him feel like part of the family and hopefully, by the end of the night, he would be.

He set up dinner and Marinette came trudging in. She looked exhausted but as soon as she saw the candles and dinner a soft smile replaced it. He pulled her seat out and she gratefully took it.

"What's all this about?" She looked at the wonderful meal she had in front of her.

"It is our anniversary after all," he took his seat and they talked about their days. She recognized her mother's cooking right away and knew what had happened by the scent of burnt food still lingering somewhat in the air.

As they finished eating Adrien's heart raced his hands were sweaty as he prepared himself. Marinette picked up the dishes and headed to the kitchen, placing them in the sink. He followed behind her, readying himself with a deep breath.

Adrien got on one knee, looking up at his beautiful girlfriend. He didn't need anything extravagant to show he loved her. She turned around, eyes wide. He pulled the box from his pocket and opened it, his heart racing. At the sight of the box, a smile broke out on her face but as he opened it her face fell.

"Wait... is this a joke?" Marinette asked sadly, looking from the ring box to him. He tilted his head confused, his heart pounding. Did she not want this as much as him? He looked at the box only to find the ring was gone.

He blanched. He knew it was in here before.

Tikki rushed into the room, bouncing off Marinette's arm. "T-Tikki?"

"I'm sorry Marinette, we just wanted to look at it," the kwami sniffled as Plagg followed behind. They were covered in goo.

Tikki handed Adrien the ring while he patted her head. He was just glad it was back in his possession. They could explain later. He bent down once again, chuckling at Marinette's not so surprised face anymore.

"This wasn't how I wanted this to go, but seems I've got the black cat's curse. Will you marry me, Marinette Dupain-Cheng?"

She shook her head with a smile. "Of course!" He pulled her into a tight hug, spinning around the kitchen. He had never been more sure of anything in his life. He went to put the ring on her finger and noticed it was governed in sludge, along with the two kwamis.

"We should probably wash it first."
