Chapter 34: And A Revolution
"Ninety-Seven bottles of sadness on the wall, ninety-seven bottles of sadness. You take one down, you pass it around, ninety-six bottles of sadness on the wall," Sighing and with nothing else to do, Cyril, same as Terrador, Ignitus, and Volteer, all sat by their doors, wings still spread and completely stiff with no way of escape, "Ugh..." Since no one else was doing anything, Cyril, still sat in Flair's room, kept some company to the others as he continued to sing, "Ninety-six bottles of sadness on the wall, ninety-six bottles..."
"Cyril!" Terrador yelled down the hallway and to his left.
"What?" He asked his friend, looking doors down and to his right, "I literally said it only four times. You could've at least let me get to the single digits."
"If you were to sing that long, I'd hurt you, and if I couldn't, I'd make sure Flair did," This now caused Cyril to shut his mouth, but now without anyone saying anything at all, the surrounding area once again grew quiet, but Terrador didn't keep it like this for long, "This is so... Humiliating! We're supposed to be Guardians! We've fought in a thirteen year war! We've dealt with the darkness, apes, the Dark Master, and even the Destroyer! But you're telling me, what finally defeats us, what finally does us in is... is... LOVE?!"
"It is both an amazing yet destructive tool," Volteer chuckled from the door down to the right of Terrador.
"Ignitus!" Somewhat able to see his red friend sitting at the back of the Chambers behind the doorway, Terrador saw as Ignitus looked up and over to him, "Can't you do anything about this? You're an Ancestor. Can't you just, fix our wings and move us all to the Chambers? We could ambush and punish the girls for what they've done to us."
"I... could... but..." Ignitus was hesitant to say anything at first, but since he did, Terrador already caught on to what was happening.
"No... No, Ignitus, come on!"
"Claire forbid me from using my abilities!"
"And you're going to obey that?!"
"Well... she said if I went against her words... then... no kissing... no cuddling... and she may even turn evil again... so... my paws are tied."
"Oh for the love of..." Knowing the other two were a lost cause, the only one left to focus towards was Volteer, and Terrador hoped he'd have the answers, "Volteer, come on man, what about you? You can't let Ersa walk all over you like that. You're smart, and very intelligent, and with the stuff you have in your room, you could easily find a way to help all of us."
"I... could... but... Same for Ignitus, I've been forbidden by my mate."
"Uuuuuuuuugh... I can't believe I'm saying this but... Volteer... If you let her have this power over you, imagine what else she might do? No longer would you be on... top... during your fun little times. She'll have full control over everything in your relationship because she knows the power she has. Would you really want her to have such power?" He could see it was getting to him, so all he had to do was keep going and pushing for him to save the group, "If you don't save us now, the girls will know the power they have, and there won't be any going back."
Sighing now, Volteer agreed, "Welp... when you're right, you're right," Tucking his wings to his side and walking out from his room, Terrador gasped with wide eyes and continued to look at him even as he approached him, "Hehe, why so surprised? Being honest, I made the antidote like, half an hour after I was poisoned," Raising up a paw and wiping it down the scales of his neck, Volteer reached his paw out and wiped the sweat from his neck onto Terrador's, which caused him to immediately back away from what he had done, "Relax... It's the antidote..." Just as he said this Terrador felt a sudden shift in his wings, and as he looked to them, he noticed the control he once again had over them, "I do have to ask something though. Compared to the others, we do trust our females, but with you... you seem... scared... of Trish... But why?"
Terrador wasn't surprised Volteer was able to see through what was going on, so rather than beat around the bush, he admitted, "I guess... in a way... I am scared of her having power over me... mainly cause it brings up my past and what those girls did to me when I showed my caring and soft side... I'm just scared that Trish will do the same thing... even though... I know I should trust her."
Volteer smiled to his friend being open and honest, "Well, I wouldn't worry about her. Me and Ersa talk a lot during the nights, and I can be here to assure you, she is probably the light you need in life," Terrador smiled to these helpful words, "Going back though, we're going to ambush the girls. Keep your wings extended and act like you're still stuck. Once I give the word, we will all move in and end this little battle once and for all," Chuckling to himself for a second, Volteer forgot he was in front of Terrador and started to talk to himself, "Ersa thinks she can just spread my wings all she wants. Well, let's see how she feels when I spread those legs of hers all I want... Hehehe..."
"Uuuuuuuh..." Terrador felt a little uncomfortable and backed away from the door, "Why are you telling me this?"
"Oh!" He snapped back to reality, "Ahem! I'ma... I'm gonna go help the others."
"What a successful day!" Ersa happily cried out, waiting for the doors to the main house to open, "Look at how easy such a thing was for us to do. The Guardians, an Ancestor, the supposed, legendary purple dragons; they are nothing compared to how amazing we girls are."
With the doors opened now, Ersa proceeded to walk out and down the steps. With her in the front middle of the group, to her right walked Flair, and to Ersa's left walked Trish. Behind the three walked Carith in the middle left, and to the middle right was Trish. Giggling to herself, Ersa continued with her celebration on how amazing this day went, "I never expected things to go so smoothly but, hehe, what can I say?" Looking to Flair, at first, once she looked back, she showed her teeth, but this didn't take away Ersa's smile, "You know, this day wouldn't have been as amazing and perfect if you weren't here to help us. Though, the same goes to you too, Claire," Looked to her left now, Claire smiled, blushing even, and Ersa tried to look to her back to thank the others, "As well as you, Carith, and of course you too, Trish," Her words got everyone to smile, aside from Flair, "It's a shame Cynder isn't here to experience this celebration but, hehe, then again, I'm sure she's more then happy with the reward she's getting right now."
"You confuse me, Ersa," Flair spoke up, getting her, and the others attentions, "It's great and all that we were able to take out everyone here, but why do you really count that as a victory?" Ersa raised a brow to her as she didn't understand her line of reasoning, which Flair showed her teeth to, "You act like they were all actually trying. Volteer let you poison him. As for me and the other girls, it was all a surprise, and that includes Ignitus. If Spyro knew what we were doing, he could've killed all of us. And after you poisoned him, he still broke free from your little effects."
"Hehe, I wasn't trying to kill the dragon. Just simply have some fun is all," Ersa defended her works, "What's wrong, Flair? Are you scared of Spyro's power or something?"
"You act like you aren't either," Hearing the way Flair worded it, she was making sure not to say yes or no, keeping herself out from the others assuming something, "How can you all walk around knowing the power he has? Knowing that, at any point, he could wish death on us, and there'd be nothing to do? And that especially goes to you, Ersa," The girls were rather afraid of another fight breaking out between the two, so they tried to keep their distance, including Claire, "You want to have a Hatchling with Volteer, but if Spyro were to kill him, or even you, what would stop him from killing the other if either of you tried to fight back?"
"Hehe, you act like the poison I was using was supposed to be lethal. It was just a simple small dose which, might I remind you, heals the user before use. That boost, could've easily helped in the closing of his wings. Trust me, if I wanted to kill Spyro, I would've done it, but... He's already proven to me he's not a threat. He's already spoken to me, and I feel much, much more comfortable around him then ever before."
With the others talking about the poison, Carith didn't know if this should be brought up or not, but since it was being spoken on, she felt like the others should know, "While you could make another poison to kill him... I don't think that would work either."
"And why's that?" Ersa was curious.
"Well... I'm pretty sure Spyro's been having a little... fun... with Cynder's poison," Carith didn't hear anyone say anything, so she continued, "I walked in on the two at one point when they were making out, and after getting her attention, she jumped up, but was surprised for a second," As she continued her talks, nor her, or the other girls, noticed Volteer smiling as they walked past his door, and the same was for Terrador as they later walked past his door, "She didn't understand how he was standing above her after the amount of poison she was forcing him to... swallow... So... from the sounds of it... It seems like he's gaining immunity from such poisons as well..."
Now with this information, the girls all stopped at the front entrance of the Chambers, and being in the back, Carith noticed everyone's scales stood up on end with this news. This news was especially scary for Flair as, after hearing it, she knew there really wouldn't be any stopping him, So... he really is just as powerful as everyone says he is. But with this power, what does that make him?! Some kind of... God?! Does he know he's untouchable?! And would he use that to his advantage against us?! While the others all feared in one way or another, a sudden burst of laughter caught everyone's attention, and looking to see who it was, it was Ersa.
"Hahaha, is that, hehehe, is that, supposed to scare me?" Ersa seemed confident in what she was saying, and taking a couple of steps forward, she moved past Flair and made her way into the Chambers, "That dragon is so damn harmless," Just as she made her way in, she sat to the back middle of the Chambers, with her back facing Ignitus, "Like I said, is that supposed to scare me? I've already talked with Spyro about my fears, and while I always assumed he was a monster, ready to use his power for his own gain, all he wants is Cynder. All he wants, is for everyone else around him to have amazing lives."
The others smiled to this aside from Flair as she stayed skeptical. Since Ersa had sat down, the other joined her and formed a circle in the middle of the Chambers. Walking over to her left, Claire sat next to Ersa, followed by Trish sitting to her left, then Carith, and finally, Flair, as she sat between Ersa and Carith. Now with everyone settled down, Ersa brushed off what had been talked about and continued to smile, "I trust Spyro, and if you really do fear him, talk to him. He's been beyond helpful, and if it weren't for him, I may still live with unneeded fears."
"I don't fear him," Flair made sure to make that clear.
"Hehe, neither do I," Ersa kept a smile, "But anyway, now is the time to celebrate since... Ahem..." Cuffing her paws around her mouth, she wanted everyone to know, and that included the Guardians, "WE BEAT THE GUARDIANS AND PURPLE DRAGONS!" Flair tried not to smile, but seeing smiles and hearing giggles from the girls after what Ersa did, she couldn't help but blush, "Anyway," Taking her paws back down from her mouth, she continued, "What do you girls think we should do as a celebration?"
"You better enjoy it while it last," A voice spoke low, almost with a growl, and hearing this voice, the girls all looked to see it was Ignitus, "You truly don't understand what you've started, but it's okay... All of you girls shall be punished," Keeping a smirk, Ignitus faced Claire, and her scales shivered to hear such a teasing voice as he spoke to her, "Bad girls get teased, and since you've been such a naughty girl, there will be no kissing tonight. Only neck nibbles, licks, and pecks for you for the rest of the night."
"Wh...?!" Claire cried, but she played along, giving a low growl herself, "You wouldn't dare."
"Admit your loss now, and I'll allow my love to show for you. If not, and we come back as victors, I'll make your toes curl; forcing you to beg for my love."
Claire's heart kicked to her chest as she took a step towards him now, afraid of this actually happening. But Ersa was there to help her, "Don't listen to him, Claire," Claire focused to Ersa for the time she spoke, "We will work together, and trust me when I say we got this. If worst comes to worst, and something does happen, I'm sure us girls, without the need of a surprise attack; looking at you Flair, can take out these supposed Guardians."
Claire trusted her friend, but as she looked back to Ignitus, seeing him in a pouncing position as he licked his lips, his words wouldn't leave her mind, "Your body will be mine."
Facing out his door to his left, Volteer made sure no one was looking to him, and since he could hear the girls talking in the Chambers, he knew they were occupied. Tucking his wings to his side, he turned to his right without looking. Just as he was ready to run, he bumped into something. Staggering backwards, Volteer shuck his head and looked to see who it was. Smiling, it was Malefor, and seeing his wings stretched out; touching the left and right walls with the tip of his wings, Volteer knew he had been poisoned, "Damn... Carith got you, didn't she?" Malefor frowned, quivering his lips as he didn't wish to admit his fault, "Don't worry, I've already got everything under control."
Wiping his paw to the side of his neck, the sweat on his fingers he put to the side of Malefor's neck and wiped downwards. With this sudden weird movement, Malefor stepped back with wide eyes and yelled out, "WHOA! WHAT THE FU...!"
Quickly slapping a paw over his mouth, Volteer shushed him, " Calm down... It's the antidote," Having feeling back in his wings, Malefor was surprised by the sudden feeling of weight completely disappearing, and looking to both his wings, he felt the control over them, "Keep those wings extended. Me and the others are going to be ready to attack once I come back down here with Spyro."
Looking behind himself to make sure no one was looking, Volteer ducked under Malefor's wings as he once again had extended them. Quickly rushing past and heading towards their house, he didn't turn back. With Volteer rushing up to the house, Malefor wondered to himself, Should I tell him Cynder's already being dealt with...? Hehe, naw! Chuckling to himself in the hallway, he walked forward a couple of steps, and as he did, Malefor noticed as Carith poked her head out of the Chamber entrance and looked to him in suspicion. He stood stiff, but luckily for him, she asked him first, "So, uh... what's going on back there?"
"Oh!" Malefor chuckled, "Volteer's just making sex jokes again. You know him."
"Uh-huh..." She still had suspicion, but went back to talking with the other girls.
Rushing up the stairs as fast as he could, Volteer made it up to the door to the main house in no time. He had to stop at the front as he waited for it to open, and once there was at least a crack from the door opening, he rushed on through. As he made it into the hallway, it was a quick thought that helped him remember where the two were, Spyro said he was in the Training Room, which must mean the others went there too! Hurrying to the Training Room door, he was quick to grab the doorknob. As he flung open the door, he opened his mouth wide and spoke, "Spyro! I...!"
Stopping dead in his tracks, his faced turned beat red. Still continuing with what he wished to so, Spyro stood above Cynder while she laid to her back. Using his tongue, Spyro licked from Cynder's chest all the way up to her neck before proceeding to bite down at the top of her neck. All while this was happening, Cynder couldn't control her body as it completely gave into him. Her toes proceeded to curl, her face showed a clear red blush as she closed her eyes, and her moans were powerful, "Spyro~... Ah...! Oh...! Spyro!"
Quickly doing a one eighty, Volteer walked out of the Training Room and proceeded to shut the door behind himself with his tail so he wouldn't have needed to look. With the door clicking shut behind himself, he stood there in disgust for a second, but once getting back to himself, he growled as he knew very quickly, Damnit! Malefor totally knew about this! Turning to his left, having been so quick, the door still stayed opened, which helped in his time as he was able to easily run back over and out of the house. I'm gonna kick his stupid ass!
"So, Flair, what do you think?" Ersa asked her red friend, and not having given context as to what she meant, Flair had to ask.
"Think about what?"
"Oh, sorry, hehe, I forgot. I was wondering what you thought about today?" Now with Ersa having elaborated, Flair didn't wish to speak on it, "This was supposed to be your special day, to really turn things around for you, and to show why life is worth living. I... apologize... If we weren't able to reach your expectations, but we'd be more than happy to hear your ideas on what we could do in the future. I have many ideas on what we girls could do in the future, but of course, in case you're afraid, don't worry; we'll all be there: The Guardians, Spyro, Malefor, and of course... Cyril..."
Just his name alone got her to shiver, and since things did seem so calmed now, for some reason, Flair couldn't help but give a sigh of enjoyment, but didn't say anything. I don't want to say anything to them... but... maybe having another talk with Cyril will really turn things around for me, Thinking about him now, thoughts of what she had spoken about with him today got to her, including his smile. The girls could all see her coming down off of her anger, as well as somewhat of a tensed body. Just as she was getting comfortable though, a voice yelled out, scaring all the girls in the Chambers, "NOW!"
Suddenly, they watched as Ignitus jumped out from the back room, and as they focused to the front of the Chambers, they noticed everyone else had come out now as well; wings tucked by their sides. From left to right of the entrance stood Malefor, Volteer, and finally, Terrador, but Cyril wasn't anywhere to be found. With the girls now being ambushed, Claire focused to Ignitus with a raced heart, and the remaining girls looked to the three at the entrance. But for Ersa, she focused mainly to Volteer, and seeing him smile, she growled with a smile back, "How did you do it? I thought I told you not to help the others."
"You really believe you had that much control over me?" Volteer chuckled to see she really was trying to get control over him, mainly as a way of playing though, "As for how I did it," Pointing to his neck, she noticed sweat dripping down the sides of his neck, and he explained, "I simply made the antidote into my pores. Since it mixes with my sweat, you wouldn't have noticed any kind of bottle missing or anything having been used. And since this antidote only reacts to your poison, even if you were to use it on yourself, you wouldn't even know if was an antidote, especially since, it only looks like sweat," She growled, but wasn't surprised he came up with an antidote, especially since she left him in the room with everything that was needed, "You've lost, my love; admit it. If you come quietly, your punishment will be eased, but I can't assure the safety of your back end."
While embarrassing the others, Volteer's words got to her, and unfortunately, she had to give in. Though, she wasn't going to go down without a fight, and spoke to the girls as if this would be the last she'd ever speak to them, "Girls... I'm sorry..." Walking up to her mate, Carith and Trish moved out of the way for her, and as she approached the front of Volteer, he puffed out his chest, "I don't know if I'll be able to take him on, and in case I can't, I want you all to know that... I've enjoyed my time with all of you," She couldn't help but smirk to him, and her words got him to blush now, "You better hope your stamina beats mine tonight."
"Ersa, wait!" Claire cried out, which got her and everyone else's attention, "We can beat them! I know we can," Facing to Ignitus, he smirked to her, once again licking his lips as intimidation, "If you can take out Volteer, then I shall deal with this tease over here," Moving over to him now, his evil smile and the way he was ready to take her body made Claire both excited and fearful, "Just... please..." With a paw to his chest, she begged him, "I couldn't handle the teasing... If we are to battle, it will be lip to lip... okay...?"
"Hehe, if you want to make this battle easier for you to lose, then I shall accept," Ignitus was still sure of his victory.
Sighing herself, Carith knew it was her turn now, and just as she faced Malefor, she noticed him buff out his chest. Smiling to this, she took careful steps as she approached, "Then I shall take out the legendary purple dragon for you all," Approaching him now, she stood almost chest to chest with him, "Claire; your dragon may be good at teasing, and same goes for you, Ersa... but I feel like my dragon would might be really good at being a father," Her words completely deflated his body as he didn't expect her to say this at all, and the smile she had, along with a blush and seducing voice, everyone knew he had already lost, "Hearing from your own lover that you'd be an amazing parent to a Hatchling, what do you have to say to that, my love?"
"Uuuuuuuuuh..." Chuckling with a red hard blush, Malefor didn't know what to say, "I don't know how Hatchling's are made... I'm a paws on learner by the way."
This got Carith to giggle, and with her so close, along with her words before, Malefor couldn't help but smile. For the last of the girls, Trish faced Terrador just as he did the same to her, and now with one last dragon to take down, she was ready to attack him, "Then I shall take out the muscular hunk of a dragon," Walking up to him, she sat down in front of him, though, she didn't show too much strength against him and remember what he had said to her before, "If you... don't want me to retaliate... I understand... I remember what you said about what those females did, and I... don't wish to be like them... I don't want you... to be afraid of me..."
He smiled to hear her understanding, and because of this, Terrador decided to take a leap in his relationship with her, "Thank you... Trish... And just for that, I want to... make you a promise," His words immediately caught her attention, but what also made her suspicious was his very noticeable blush, "If the girls win this little... revolution... I will... promise... tomorrow night... that I will... nibble your neck..." He was afraid that what he said wouldn't have mattered, but seeing her smile wide with a huge gasp, the wag of her tail also gave away the excitement she had, "But just remember; everyone single one of the girls have to win their battle."
"Girls!" Trish cried out to all of them, "You all better do everything in your power to put your male in their place!" Everyone giggled to see how excited she was, and just as she focused back to Terrador, he noticed the sparkles, almost like stars, that showed in her eyes, "So you're telling me that you'll give me nibbles and licks on my neck if the girls win? And I know you already said it, but I need, need! Confirmation!"
"Hehe, I will promise you, Trish... I wil promise as you said; neck nibbles and licks if the girls win."
Trish gave a cute giggle before snuggling up to Terrador, nuzzling her head to his chest with excitement and satisfaction. With everyone reunited with the male they were with, Flair looked to the right entrance of the Chambers and wondered, frowning as she did, Why isn't... Cyril... here...? The girls all watched with dismay as thoughts and fears started to get to Flair. Her once calmed self started disappeared as she looked to the floor, shedding a tear that she tried to hold back. Thinking about what she had done today, Flair felt, and knew, this was her fault for him not showing, After what I put him through... he's probably finally understanding I'm just... a monster. No one knew how to help her as they didn't understand why Cyril hadn't shown, but luckily enough, the only one who did know, was Volteer. Rather then keep things a secret, he outright asked her, keeping his voice low as to show he wasn't upset or scared of her, "You're wondering where Cyril is... aren't you, Flair?"
"I already know where he is," She was quick to respond even though she didn't wish to, "He left me... didn't he...? After everything I've done to him, he's finally understanding that I'm nothing more than a monster..." It pained her to say this, but it was more of a pain for her to think about, though all she could think about was what she believed was the truth rather than having Cyril there to show her the light, "So... If this is your way of telling me he's broken up with me... then... then just... say it..." Flair couldn't find the voice to yell, which made the others all frown as they could see her downing herself every step of the way, "I... never... deserved someone like him anyway..."
While the others felt horrible, Volteer still kept a smile to this, and all it took were a couple of words for her to remember, "'Look, If you want to keep me happy, you stay in this room'," Just his first couple of words alone helped lift her head now as she remembered what she had said, but he still continued, "'You don't say anything about what's happened, and you do not help the others, understand?'" Everyone watched as hope started to shine within her eyes once again to hearing this, and surprising all, they started to see a smile crossing her face, "You even told him to shut up, go lay down, and wait for you later tonight. Which, now after telling you all that... can you please go and... help him...?"
"Help him?" Flair asked with worry, and once again, this surprised the others to hear the care she had in her voice towards him, "What's wrong?"
"Well... He's flipping out about everything right now and is rather depressed that you'll dump him... You told him not to talk about what's happened, but he revealed what you said to me, which also counts as him helping us. He's even flipping out for being off the bed in the first place and is worried you'll hate him for that too," She sighed to hear Cyril was having such troubles, but one thing that really stuck out was what Volteer said afterwards to her, "Cyril feels like... If he wasn't here... If he hadn't interrupted your time with the girls, you would've enjoyed this day better, and feels that your discomfort will come from him... It will be because of him that your day was ruined."
Flair now sighed with more anger then anything else to hear this, and thought to herself, That damn dragon really is an idiot. Now knowing where she needed to go, just to make things better between everyone, Flair decided to go along with this little play, "Girls, please remember to put these aggressive males in their place," Standing up now, she didn't waste any time and made her way to the right of the entrance, "This shouldn't be hard whatsoever," Stopping just as she turned out of the Chambers, everyone looked to her and wondered, but they didn't have to wait for long as she spoke, "Ersa... Girls..." She got their attention, "I'm not going to say I enjoyed this day for a number of different reasons, and I get you were joking about never seeing each other again, Ersa... But... please... promise me... promise me that we will have days like these again."
Ersa smiled to hear her speak on it, and she was honest to her, "Once we all wake up tomorrow, and we rejoin as a family to the Chambers, you can choose what ever you wish to do tomorrow, how does that sound as a promise?"
With her back being to everyone, they didn't notice a tear that dripped down her face, but the sadness yet joy in her voice more then showed, "Thank you..."
With her walking away now, the others were left to themselves, and having this time to themselves, Ignitus knew what was next, but needed to let this be known, "Hey, you guys," Now everyone looked to him, "I know we're all headed off to go, play around, I guess you could say but... Tomorrow or sometime soon, could you all come back to the Chambers and sleep on your beds?" Many gave wondered looks while other took a step back as they feared for why he was asking this, and he chuckled as he understood, "Hehe, don't worry, no one's going to die. I just... miss... having you all back there. And seeing how big this family has gotten will make me smile... seeing you all, my brothers, enjoying life for once."
"Ignitus," Terrador kept his voice easy, not wishing to show he wanted the same, "We will be there tomorrow, I promise."
"That's gonna be tough but, me and Ersa can make it too," Volteer also agreed, and though he tried to whispered it, everyone could hear him, "Sounds like we're gonna need to have some fun later on during the end of the day, Ersa."
"Hehe, don't worry, I'm sure we can ease each other for the night," Ersa purred.
"Uuuuuugh," Malefor sighed, but he knew it could've sounded way worse, "Then again, that's probably the safest, most pg-thirteen thing I've ever heard from you two."
"I could always use the word drain towards Volteer?"
"Please don't!"
She's going to walk through that door and kick, my, ass! Sitting down in the middle of Flair's bed, Cyril worried intensely with everything that's happened and was afraid of what Flair might do to him. But what could I have done?! If I had said nothing, she would've thought that I hated her, but if I said something, would she attack me for going against her words? Shivering with sweat, he couldn't figure out if what he did was right or wrong, or even if what he did should've been done in the first place. Letting out a defeated growl, he looked downwards towards the bed and continued in his thoughts with a frown. Flair's going to dump me... I know she's going to. Even with how deep into his thoughts he was, a small, faint click was easily heard from somewhere. Looking up to see the sound, he gasped to see it was Flair, and from the looks of things, she was pissed. Though her body didn't show it, her resting face that he couldn't quite read made him fear for his life. A simple step was all it took to break him, and he quickly tried to explain himself as he waved his paws in front of his face, "Wait wait wait! Flair! Please, I can explain!" It didn't seem as though she was listening to him and continued her walk, but just as she made it to the middle of the room, his words got her to stop, "I know why you're mad, and I'm sorry! I shouldn't have said it, and it was just in the heat of the moment," Standing there now, he noticed this, and since it did seem it was something he said, Cyril had something to go off of and stayed clam, "I'm sorry... I know what you said, but I didn't want you to feel alone... I knew saying something to the others would go against what you told me not to do, but I also knew going out there would go against your words, so... I... I didn't know what to do... I couldn't let you feel like I hated you or, was abandoning you... So... I wanted to ease the blow after having broken one of the rules you made for me..."
Waiting for a response from her, it didn't seem like that was the correct thing to say, and so, she continued towards him without saying anything; without even changing expressions. This brought his sweat back as he didn't understand why she was still approaching him with almost disappointment, "Which was wrong of me! I shouldn't have said anything at all, especially since I know this is your room, and you would've seen me in here afterwards!" Watching as she placed a paw to the bed and pulled herself up to his right, he turned to face her and ducked his head, giving her complete dominance as she sat there, looking down on his ducked figure, and he closed his eyes as he feared, "Please, Flair, I'm... I'm sorry... I'm so... sorry... Please don't dump me..." Once again, she hadn't said anything, and though he was ready for her to say something, since she hadn't, he opened his eyes to look at her and tried his best to turn things around by chuckling now, "Hehe... now... now now, Flair... It's not nice to tease your prey before you kill it..."
"You really don't understand why I'm pissed at you, do you?" Hearing her speak now was such a sigh of relief to him, but with what she did say, he unfortunately had to shake his head to her words and frown, which made her growl back exactly what he had said back to him, "You think if you weren't there for me today, you would've ruined my day?!" He picked his head up some now and listened with wide eyes to hear that was why she was pissed off at him for, "You think you caused me discomfort, you think you ruined my day, and you honestly believe that, if you weren't there, I would've been happier?!" Now with his head back up, he still dropped it down as he looked to the bed, now understanding why she was so upset, "I don't give a shit that you went against my words! I want you to correct yourselves, especially your words, or I will walk out of this building right now. So tell me, what about this day could've EVER been better without you?!"
Cyril was surprised to hear how easy this request was, and while he was ready to chuckle and correct himself, seeing the sadness that actually showed in her eyes, he stopped with a small gasp and made sure to actually think on his words. Rather then use his smile or chuckle, he kept things low, mainly how his body rested to ease, and the tone in his voice, "Nothing... nothing about today would've been better if I wasn't with you..." Now understanding exactly why else she must've been upset, he was able to put two and two together, "So... I should've been there when the males revolted against the females... and by me not being there... that was what made this day awful for you... you trusted me to be there like I have... but I wasn't..."
Having answered correctly now, he was surprised by the sudden hug that Flair gave to him. As her wings went across his back, so did her arms and head as they wrapped around the back of his neck. He could feel the shivers from each part of her body for what he said now, and now he understood exactly what he should've done, "You... thought I left you... didn't you...?" Her shivers suddenly grew intense before subsiding, but the grip she had of him to hold him close didn't subside, "Flair, I'm... so... sorry... I didn't know if I should go against your words or not... I didn't want you to think I was trying to get power over you, and... I didn't want to break the thin ice I was walking on after what I did during the day... I... know you're still pissed at me for grabbing your..."
"I don't care that you grabbed my ass!" Flair was quick to clear up such an incident up, "If I'm... being honest... seeing the fear you had after that... feeling your heart beat so fast; knowing it was stupid, and then feeling it calm down once I said I was still going to be with you... It... it helped me understand just how much you really do care..." Cyril was glad to hear that she forgave him for the incident, but what was just as helpful was her words after she pulled back from the hug, "You really think, after the ice you gave me, after the hugs and kisses you've given me throughout the day, after I told you how helpful you were, you honestly thought I would've been upset with you having a little fun?"
It helped Cyril tremendously to hear how supportive she was being, and with the smile she showed, it helped him keep calm, "You're... right... It just... sucks now that... I will never be able to make up for what I did... Not being there for you is something I'm going to have nightmares on for the rest of my life... Though," Remembering what he could do, he brought his head to the side of hers and pecked her cheek, and once pulled back, he saw the blush and smile she showed, "I remember I promised you that kiss, though double, of course. But I don't want to over do it and make you think I'm kissing up."
"It's fine, Cyril," He was glad to hear her once again keep such a soothing tone, and something else that got his scales to stand up on end was her words after, "Listen... can I... trust you... to know something...? I don't want the girls to know or anyone else for that matter... I just want this to be a secret between the two of us..."
"Of course!" Cyril smiled to hear she was trusting him with secret information.
"I... actually... really enjoyed my time with the girls today... and over all... there wasn't a single thing I could say that I really... hated... about today," He was happy to hear that she enjoyed her time, "I... have to thank you for this..." He continued to smile upon hearing her joy, but unfortunately, this joy filled conversation didn't last forever, "Though... I do have to bring something up that... I know you don't want to hear, but it's got me thinking ever since it was said..." Stepping back from him now, Cyril feared for what it might be, but he knew what ever it was, he was sure he could help comfort her, "When Spyro and Malefor were talking in the Training Room, Spyro asked what Malefor thought of you and me... It took some time for him to finally stop being an idiot and actually answer the question but, once he did... It... made me trust you... that much less..."
"What?!" Cyril cried, and hearing her say what she did towards her trusting him, he felt a jab to his heart, "What could he have possibly said that's not even true to scare you?"
"You don't even know what he said yet, so how could you know if it wasn't true or not?" Flair growled a little as, what she was thinking about started to come to fruition, "Malefor talked about how he was surprised I hadn't had sex with you yet. After the life I've had, you've given me a new life, a new home, and new friends. I've taken so much from you, and he thinks I'll be taking your virginity next," Cyril blushed to hear it have been phrased that way, but it didn't end there as she had more to say, "I don't want to agree with him, but he is right about one thing; you're no manipulator, but if you say the right thing at the right time, then you could easily get to me."
Cyril sighed to hear what Malefor had spoken on, but he knew that he'd hopefully be able to calm her before this situation got too far, "Flair, I've never and will never manipulate you. I care, so, deeply for you, and all I've ever wanted for you was to be happy, for you to see and enjoy the brighter things in life. All I've tried to do was to make your life better," After today, he knew he failed at that, and he even called it how it was, "And I did make some mistakes today but... Flair... please know that, to manipulate someone is to make their life worse. Everything that I've done, I've tried to help protect and care for you, to insure that you really do have the best life possible. I would never manipulate you to destroy your life, and me helping you to change your mind to keep you safe and alive isn't manipulation," She still growled to him, and seeing this as some kind of form of manipulation in her mind, he took a step back, "Here, how about this... To show you I care, and that I won't somehow manipulate you into thinking of something you don't wish, I will let you be to your thoughts."
She raised a brow to this, not understanding why he was doing what he was, "And what exactly are you hoping to gain by doing this?"
"I want to show you that I care... As I just said, I care very, deeply, about you, and by taking a step back, I hope to ease your mind before anything actually happens," He did as he said he would, and by taking a step back, he allowed her to do and act as she pleased all by herself, "I don't want you to be afraid to say things or act on your own, so what ever decision you make, I shall agree to it, or, of course, I won't say anything at all so you won't think I'm manipulating you," Now with her all by herself and to her thoughts, he nodded to her, smiling even, "I will sit right back here and not use any words to somehow get you to believe I'm manipulating you."
Flair watched as he zipped his mouth, going from one end to the next and sitting there, waiting for her to make her own decision. With this quietness that she wasn't use to, it started to get to her fast, especially since she didn't have the cool feeling of Cyril's wing over her back as normal for her now, but she took this opportunity to do exactly as she had hoped to do. Even after today, why do I still have this burning feeling inside of my chest to just... end it all... like I don't belong... I know what I said to Ersa, I know what the others girls have hope for but... Sighing with all that she had going on now, it pained Cyril to see her struggling all by herself, and though he tried to raise a paw out to help her, he strained it backwards in hopes she'd make the right decision. I get my promises, and I understand why others like Cyril wish for me to live but... I just... can't handle living like this any more... if wake up tomorrow, I'll still have chest pains, I'll still have fears, and I'll still have... a fractured past that I have to remember every single day of my life. What she wished to do now started to come to fruition, and so, to add to it, she had two plans going at once. It's very easy for me to remember the pains in my life, so while I can use this as a way to test him, I could also use this as a way to see if Cyril really would go through with it... to see... if he really does care. With her mind made up on exactly what she wanted now, Flair was ready, though Cyril feared for what she'd have to say, "So... you really do care about me, Cyril?" Even as defeated as she looked once she faced him, he still tried to keep a smile as he nodded to her, "Then if you've ever truly cared about me, and you want to show that now, then..." She stopped to sigh as she knew it wouldn't be easy to say, but it had to be said, "Then I want you to kill me."
Unfortunately, he couldn't hold his voice down any longer after hearing her come to such a conclusion, "What...?!"
"Is that going to be a problem?!" Flair grew back defensive, and now that he had spoken, her anger grew after what he just said he wouldn't do, "You promised me that you wouldn't speak, and you promised me that you wouldn't manipulate my decisions!" Turning towards him, seeing her so upset yet fighting it all at the same time showed tears for him and even her, "This is the decision that I've come to and it's what I want! I get that you all can walk through life, acting like everything is okay, but it's not! You're not like me, no one is... And these constant fears, these constant... feelings, telling me that something's wrong when I don't know what is, it's just... I can't handle living like this any longer..."
"Your death won't fix anything, Flair," Cyril tried his best to turn this situation around, "I know what I said, but what I'm doing now isn't me trying to manipulate you; I'm trying to save you."
"I DON'T WANT TO BE SAVED!" She yelled, slapping her paw down onto the bed, "I've never wanted to be saved, and I've never wanted to live up to this point!" Since she had time to think on it, she also had time to give plenty of reasons why she didn't care to continue, "All I've wanted, all that I've known, is death, and hate, and... anguish... Every time I try to feel joy, it comes back and haunts me! Even now... after the day with the girls, when I feel joy, this... burning pain in my chest just... shuts me down... and I'm left as an empty shell all over again," Seeing her once again turn against her own life made him frown, and just as she were to shed tears, so did he, especially after what she had to say next, "Cyril... Me and you... This... relationship... it's done, alright..."
"What?!" He let off a cry, "But... why...?"
"Because you don't need to protect me any longer... If you ever cared, if you ever truly cared, then you'd kill me right here and now..." Being dead set on her death, Cyril didn't know how to steer her away from such a thought, but he knew if he did, it would only cause more problems, "I know this is what I want... I know that, in my death, many more will be happy to know that I'm gone... My dad... my supposed friends and lover... The world would be safer knowing that I can't take anyone else's life."
Even if it was the only thing he could do, Cyril couldn't go through with it and was brave enough to go against it, "I'm sorry... but... I can't..." Hearing this frustrated her even more so, but he continued with what he had to say, "I will do anything else but that... I know times may be hard, and I understand you just want the pain to go away... I know... because... after my brother died, I lost a part of my family... after my mate cheated on me, I lost a part of my heart, but the nail in the coffin was when I lost my parents... After that... I was left broken... A former self of who I was..." Cyril could see Flair's claws curling as they begged for blood, but he kept up what he had to say, "Ever since you came into my life, I could feel myself becoming more of who I use to be. And I know I said I've given you a piece of my heart even if I only have one piece left but... I'd give my life... to save you... and with you here... I could feel another piece; the piece that had been destroyed so long ago, finally coming back together," While he tried his best to smile, his words only brought more tears to Flair's eyes, "You're amazing, Flair... And if there was anything else I could do... I would... I swear..."
Once again hearing him trying to change her opinion, one side of her told her to obey and to give in, but another part of her couldn't, After what I just said, after what we just talked about, he's only proving my point! With anger now growing within her, and with no way of calming herself down; she pushed away the only help she's ever had to calm and deal with these emotions. Trying to go in it on her own with her own thoughts and actions, and with a low growl, she took action against him, "Then let's put that to the test," Flair growled, and in the blink of an eye, she rushed over, grabbed Cyril by the neck, and held him upwards some, "I'll give you a second chance!"
With the sudden amount of force that she put to his neck, Cyril coughed as he tried to hold his paws over hers, but he didn't wish for her to believe he was trying to hurt her. But for Flair, she went all in, bringing her blade around and cuffing it over the front of his neck, ready to end his life right here and now. Shaking the tears from her eyes, she gave him a second option, "If you really want something else to do, then fine! If you can keep your mouth shut as blood spills through your throat for five minutes! Then I will back away from this whole situation! That includes your manipulation, and my death!" While she was ready to hear him go against it, she simply watched as he dripped a tear before calming himself; closing both his eyes and his mouth as he was ready for her to go through with it, but this only made things worse for her, "DO YOU REALLY THINK I'M SCARED TO KILL YOU, THAT I'M SIMPLY JOKING ABOUT THIS?!" He didn't respond to her even as her grip grew much tighter around his neck, and to add to the pain, Flair pushed harder with her blade to his neck without sharpening it, "You act like death is so simple! That it can just happen without a care or feeling in the world!" Seeing his tears shine through now too, she clenched her teeth shut before throwing him across the bed now, and even as his back slammed to the bed, she kept up what she had to say, "Is it because we aren't together anymore, that we can't be lovers?! Now that you know I don't care, that I've never loved you or had any feelings for you, you simply don't care to help me?!" He was slow to stand, but failing many times over, he simply rolled to his stomach, and as his body faced straight, so did he, not even paying attention to her, "Now that you know you can't manipulate me, you don't care to help me at all?! You don't care to continue this manipulation and force me back into another relationship?!"
"I never asked to be in a relationship with you," Cyril finally spoke out, and this caused a hard gasp to release from her mouth, "From my memory, you asked me to be in a relationship with you, not the other way around, so I didn't manipulate that decision. You made it on your own."
Upon hearing this and with nothing to lose now, Flair clenched her teeth before letting out her anger, "YOU KISSED ME!" To her, he turned his back on her with no reason other then the fact that she was right, and that's the conclusion she came to, "This is exactly what I'm talking about! Why bother living, why bother existing if everyone I know, everyone I care about will leave me!" Sitting down to the bed now, she didn't realise it, but she was coming to her own conclusion herself, "All I wanted was for someone to love me, and I lost that... All I wanted... was a family to love me... and I lost that..." Flair watched as Cyril closed his eyes, allowing a tear to go down his face, and while it seemed like she was winning this fight, she was quick to realize she should've never caused it, "All I wanted... was to be with you..." Thinking about Cyril now and losing him to her own faults, her voice cracked as she murmured, "And I lost that..."
Crying to herself, all alone now and with no one but herself, the only thing Flair wished to do now was fade. Having now lost the only thing she believed in, and the only one that kept her sane, her wings, tail, and fins all flattened out. Her cries and sniffles were the only ones to be heard; nothing from anyone else, and not even from Cyril. Why...Clenching the bed with her paws, she wanted something, anything to hold on to to give her the feeling she even still existed. This is all my fault... This is all... my... fault... Her body grew weak as once again, she was able to see her past repeating itself. It was my fault that I lost my family... and it was my fault... that I'm going to lose another. Her thoughts brought up the past, but while her body tried to almost kill itself in a way, her mind needed a way to calm itself, and out from the darkness came almost a blue shine in her mind, and she thought on his name, Cyril...
"To crush all his hopes and dreams to render him useless in life?" While it was something to think about, Ersa saw the wide eyes from the other girls and the fear in Cyril's eyes to think on it now, "Ahem... What I meant was; Cyril, do you not trust Flair? That's a bad dragon."
"Oh?" Smiling now to this idea, Flair looked to Cyril and messed with him now, "Thought you trusted me, Cyril. Are you, lying, to me?"
"What?! No no no!" Cyril shivered as he was afraid of something going wrong for him, "I was just, uh... Testing you, is all! Yeah, just a little, Hehe, a little test..." Swallowing hard to see her give a raised brow, he ducked his head some as he knew he was busted, and he tried his best to apologize for his mistakes, "Flair, I'm... Sorry... I just... I... I really..."
"I know you like me!" She growled, "But what did I say about being desperate!"
Cyril... Flair cried again in her mind as another memory appeared.
"Hehe, well, now that I'm basically stuck in your room, you'll know exactly where to find me. The day is almost over too, so... Soon... We'll be able to cuddle up just as we did last night. And... I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited... Laying with you, especially last night... It was... The best night of sleep I've had in many, many years... And waking up is all the more enjoyable now as well, especially now knowing that, every morning, I can wake up with you in my arms..."
"I... know how you feel..." This was a perfect time for him to make his move, and not noticing it, the kiss to her cheek made her shiver, but with plenty of pleasure, and once he had backed up, she whispered, keeping a smile as she looked at him, "Thank you... Cyril..."
Cyril... Flair continued to cry his name.
"Cyril..."
Unable to hold back his name in her thoughts, everything in her body now turned back around and begged for some kind of comfort. Sitting there all by herself showed the pains she thought she had been enduring throughout the entire day, but now being alone once again, Flair realized all on her own. Why didn't I just listen to him...? Now... being all alone once again I... I can't... I don't... want this feeling... I just... please... please make it stop... Her body tensed up once again as she held herself close, bringing her wings around her body and holding only herself. Cyril... please... I'm... I'm so sorry... I'm... so... sorry. While she wished to have his comfort back, Flair knew that the life she once had was all but gone now. But after what I've done... After what I said to him... He'll never care for me ever again... Which means... just like that... I've lost... another family. Hearing her cries, hearing her pains, and taking a peak to see the pain she was in as she held herself together with her wings, Cyril couldn't take this anymore and started to growl. His growl caught her attention, but with no strength to do anything, she could only look to the bed with tears. Unable to hold himself together now, Cyril jumped up and apologized, "I'm sorry! But I can't... I can't take it anymore!" Flair was afraid of what this meant and shuck rather intensely, and though she couldn't see him, hearing his voice once again was all she wanted, "Flair, I'm sorry but... I can't watch you suffer like this!" This helped her raise her head some, and though she could barely see him through her tears, his blue body was like a diamond for her, "I'll take what ever punishment is needed to ensure you're safe and happy! After what I said about the relationship; slap me for it! For making you think I'm manipulating you; stab me for it!" With everything he said, it brought more and more strength back to her, so much so that she was now able to clearly see him, "If anything, this is my fault... no... it is only my fault! If you're thinking such things, that means I've been a terrible dragon to you! I should've dealt with these fears, I should've helped you better, and all of this started because of me!" Walking up to her now, seeing his standing figure, Flair felt at ease now to bring her wings back down, and wishing to see him more, her wish was granted as he moved a tear from her left eye with the back, soft part of his claw, "Flair, please, I... I'm sorry... You shouldn't have to suffer for my mistakes..." Using his other claw now, he wiped away a tear from her right eye and sighed, "I know you may be afraid that I won't care for you because we aren't in a relationship... but that will never be true... I will always, and continue, to care, love, and support you no matter what. Us being in a relationship is just a bonus to me in a way... a very... awesome... and hopefully life time, bonus... But that will not stop me from being the man you deserve... the man... you..." Sighing as he didn't wish to say it, he didn't want to ruin her life even more then he already had, "I don't want to say need because... that's for... you... to decide..."
Unable to hold herself back now, Flair kicked herself off the bed and tackled Cyril down and onto the bed. Just as his back hit the bed, he felt as her chest connected with his. Though surprising at first, feeling every single shiver, every single tear drop to his chest, he knew he needed to act to ease the pain she was in. Draping both wings over her back, she felt this cold feeling flow throughout her entire body, and to make sure things were perfect, she snuggled up with her neck going up his neck before resting there. The feeling of her nuzzling all throughout his neck, and feeling her body wiggling and nuzzling the rest of his chest made him purr. With her now laid chest to chest with him, Cyril use the best tactic he had, and with his right paw, he was hesitant at first, but later preceded to pet the top of her fins near the back of her neck before going all the way down to her shoulders and starting all over again. With her laid to his chest, and feeling as her heart slowed as her entire body eased; succumbing to his warm yet cooling body, Cyril himself took a sigh now to see she was coming back to herself. But as he laid there, he took no time in stopping as he was right back into thoughts of what to do next. But now I'm back to what I should do or what I shouldn't... Do I try to comfort her, or do I let her use her own thoughts to help herself. Even though both seemed like horrible ideas from what he's seen, Cyril couldn't get the first thought out of his mind. Then again... I just saw what happened If I did try to take a step back. So... it's obvious what I need to do but, how do I tell her, or talk to her without her thinking of me as a manipulator? Feeling her body starting to shift, he noticed some pressure to his chest, and this pressure came from Flair's paws. Taking his paw back from her neck, he saw she had pulled her neck up, though, she didn't look to him at first and looked more towards the door. He swallowed hard as he was afraid of what to say, but he knew saying something would've been better than not, "Flair..."
"I was wrong... alright..." Flair spoke, but with what she had gone through, her voice wasn't much, "Malefor's just a dumbass, and if anyone is to blame, I'll blame him for this. Even though..." She sighed, and now knowing she'd speak to him, her face turned back towards him, but she didn't look to him, only his chest, "It was all my fault for even putting you through what you did tonight, or... at least... what you didn't do..." He smiled to hear she had calmed down, and since it didn't seem like anything bad was to happen, and with her under his wings, Cyril didn't do anything yet, "Look... I get it... I've done nothing but cause you pain... So just... stop acting so sweet and punish me for my actions for once..."
"Hehe," Cyril chuckled to this which got Flair to blush, "You really think I'd punish you for your fears? If anything, don't you think this is punishment enough?" She wondered what he meant by this, and facing him now, she raised a brow, "Well, I mean, you hate when I won't leave you alone, and being with me, laid to my chest, I know you just, absolutely, hate it. So, are you not being punished right now by being so, vulnerable, to me, right now?" He was quick to notice her blush, so he continued to tease her, "I saw how you sat there. Your wings dropped, almost as if you were, begging, for me, to take you."
"Don't get any funny ideas," She growled, though not with much anger, "I get you're all, happy, having my scales rub against your stomach and what not. But I can promise you right now, if I feel a poke anywhere on my body, especially between my hind legs, I will not hesitate to kill you. And I'm not joking about that."
"Hehe, well, after your body nuzzled all against my own, I was almost at the point of no return, hehe," Pushing off against his chest and now standing above him rather quickly, watching as she looked down on him with slight anger now, Cyril quickly apologized, "Sorry-sorry-sorry! That was bad joke! That was... ahem... that was inappropriate," To his surprise, though she showed her teeth, she went back to laying down over top of him, which he was thankful for, "Thank you for... trusting me..."
Knowing this wasn't going to go anywhere, she still outright asked, "Are you trying to manipulate me or not?"
"Well... once again, I'm put in a lose-lose situation. If I say no, you'll think I'm lying, and if I say yes, then it will only hurt you more to know that I was supposedly playing you all this time," Flair didn't say anything and waited for him to make his own decision on this, and it didn't take long for Cyril to come to his own conclusion, "I know I'm not... and... like I said... I must not be a good... friend, to you, if you don't trust me, so... I guess I just need to try harder to show you that I care..."
"I already know you care," Not wanting to hide it, she was honest with him about her own findings, "Look... I came to my own decision on this... and it didn't take your words, but it did take... memories of you to help me..." Cyril didn't know if that was a bad thing or not, but from her other words, it didn't seem like that at all, "Don't you dare... leave me... you understand...?" He smiled to hear her say this, "I'm... sorry... okay...? I'm serious when I talk about those pains that I have, but... when I'm with you... they're almost... non-existent..." Growling now, she didn't want him to feel like he had power over this, "So how does that make you feel? Knowing that I just confessed that I need you in my life?"
She was ready for him to finally take advantage of the situation, but as many times over, it was the exact opposite, "Hehe," Hearing his chuckle alone always made her blush, "Flair, like I've said, I don't need to be in a relationship with you to want to help you; it's just a bonus for me. Knowing you need me makes me feel... great... to hear that I can finally do some good with my life..." She tried not to smile to his words, and instead, showed her teeth, but he could tell she was fighting back tears, "I may be the Guardian of Ice but... For you, and only you, I see myself more as your own... Guardian Angel..."
"Shut up!" She finally cried out, and he didn't understand why she'd say this until after she followed up, "I've already shed enough tears tonight, and I don't need your help causing more of them! It doesn't help that they itch when they fall down my face, which only aggravates me even more..." A tear did form to her face, but as it did, he was gentle, yet quick, to use his back claw and wipe the tear from her face, which she tried to growl towards, "You son of a bitch..." He chuckled to see her smiling towards his help, and she tried her best to get him to fear her, "At any point, I could kill you. What part of that don't you understand?"
"The part of you killing me. You're too much of a sweetheart to do such a thing," With his consistent help over her, Flair finally eased as she didn't feel a need to fight back against his help anymore, "Hehe... You know, I might get gutted for saying this but... have you seen how beautiful you are when you smile?" Since she didn't fight it, a smile went across her face as she sighed, knowing he was doing everything he could to help her, "It's weird too how, no matter how hot you get, your warmth always feels so comfortable to my heart..."
"Cyril..." Now not able to handle it any longer, she needed to say this, "I get that I'm not the greatest female in the world... I'm horrible, awful, disrespectful..."
"Who ever is telling you that is the real manipulator," Cyril didn't allow her to continue to bash herself, which she noticed, "You're everything I'd want as a mate, and don't get the wrong idea that I'm trying to force a decision for you to get with me. It's not called manipulation, it's called a fact, and fact is, you'd make an amazing mother."
"Hehe, well... If you want someone to treat you like shit and to cause another death of a young one... I guess I would make a great mate."
"You never caused that death in the first place," Cyril growled, and hearing his anger forced her to back up some with wide eyes, "Sorry... But you can't put that blame on anyone else except your father, or your supposed lover... You acting out of fear and not trusting someone is because no one ever trusted you, and they forced those fears to stain your mind. You don't see it, but with the right mate, your learning, your experiences; knowing what to do and what not, you'd make just as amazing of a mother as your mother before."
Flair smiled to his words, and once again, she tried to sigh to hide it, but her blush and his words after made that nearly impossible to hide her true intentions, "Crazy you say all this cause... I feel like you'd make an amazing father too..." Her words alone forced Cyril's heart to slam to his chest as his eyes widened from her words, and upon seeing his surprised, red face, while also feeling his heart beating beyond what she knew, Flair growled to change the subject, "Listen!" She didn't expect anything to come from this, but she still tried, "You don't have to say yes... after what I've done to you, I understand... but..." Clenching her paws, he could tell she was struggling with this decision, but she still blurted it out, "If you want to be in a relationship again, just say yes or no!" Her sudden blurt out surprised him, but he frowned to see she was scared of his decision, and he heard it in her voice just the same, "I don't deserve someone like you... If anything, I don't deserve anything in life aside from death, but... I... I can't go any further... without... you..."
With things having been so serious up until now, rather then cause a fear from him not saying yes or no, Cyril decided to have a little fun to get things turned back around, "Awwwwww," She was surprised he didn't give a clear answer, but hearing his voice; his teasing over her, she already had to growl, trying to hide a smile, "Does Flair really want me that badly?" She continued to growl, though now showing her teeth, "It's okay, Flair... All you have to say is, 'I really, really want Cyril'. Then I'll understand just how much you want me."
Even with her show of teeth, the smile shined most of all as Flair tried to keep calm, "I really, really want Cyril dead if he keeps pushing his luck."
Cyril couldn't help but laugh to see he was embarrassing her, and upon hearing his laugh, it helped Flair grow much happier for reasons she was finally understanding. With his help seeming to have worked in his favor, this was an opportunity for Cyril as he kept his voice low once asking, "Flair... I'm... truly sorry, and if you want to stab me, I get it... I was out of line and, I really do want to be with you... But how can I do that without making you think I'm manipulating you?"
"I already said Malefor was stupid, alright?" She growled, and though he heard her anger, her words still helped him understand, "You aren't a manipulator... if anything, I was... for trying to bring you down... If you say yes or... no... I will understand either way..." Flair couldn't even hide the sadness in her voice having to speak or even think of him saying no, which Cyril was very aware of, "I've felt much more comfortable moving on from my past now more than ever... and that's... definitely thanks to this day... to the girls... and especially... to you... Cyril..."
His heart lit up with a flurry of a joy, but for the time being, he kept himself under control until things were surely safe, "So... you're basically letting me decide your future for you?" Having him say it now, Flair now thought on it as she understood the way he viewed it, "If anything... I want to leave this decision up to you... I want you to decide if we should or shouldn't continue our relationship... If you say yes, then... hehe... you'll have to get off my chest so I can jump for joy in celebration of us being together again," It was a sudden surprise to hear her giggle as she could imagine the image, and though he wished to speak on what would happen if it was a no, he decided against it, "But... I don't want to say the rest. I know you already said I'm not a manipulator, but to make sure that's true, I won't tell you want I might feel for a no... and to be honest... I shouldn't have said anything if you said yes..." Flair was already dead set on the decision she wanted to make all on her own, and hearing every helpful word Cyril had for her, it only made that decision more concrete, "So... it's up to you... I want to be in a relationship with you, and I will be the one to ask that, and I wish for you to answer... if that's alright with you of..."
"Yes..."
It was sudden for him to hear, and even as his heart kicked up; both upon seeing her very innocent and beautiful smile, but also the way her voice so easily agreed, "Ye... Yes to... to what?"
Cyril already knew the answer, but hearing her explain it made him want to jump for joy that much more, "I see what you're doing Cyril, or at least, what you're trying not to do, and it's... definitely working... You asked if I wanted to be in a relationship in order to protect me from saying it... You asked me so I could have the decision, and not feel forced one way or the other... and for that... I thank you... which is why, I feel no fear, no... hesitation or doubt about what you asked... So... if you want clarification on what I'm saying yes to... why not ask me again...?"
She felt the shiver that went throughout his entire body, and with her chest being against his, she could feel ever single beat from his heart as it sped to a flurry speed. His blush, his smile, his excitement all showed to her as he asked with hope, "Flair... would you... like to... continue our relationship together as we once did?"
Nodding her head to him, she once again agreed, "Like? No. But... I would love to."
Once again, he felt this sudden jolt throughout his entire body; feeling every bit of joy coming back to him, and while he would've wished to savor the moment by looking to her eyes, Cyril couldn't hold himself back, "Ahem," Blocking his face with his paw, he looked away from her for a second, "Could you excuse me," Looked off towards the door, his other paw clenched downwards as he celebrated, "Yeeeeeeeeees!" She giggled to hear and see his celebration, and now turned back to her, he moved his paw from his face, "Ahem. Sorry. I thought I saw a bug or something."
Now having celebrated, and with clear view of Flair, he was ready to continue with his words. But just the same as with her agreeing to be back with him, his heart once again kicked, as well as a quick red show of a blushed face. He couldn't help but look to her body as she laid to his chest as everything about her caught his eye. The way her paws rested to his chest with such ease, her beautiful cool blue yet bright red colors of her scales as he went up her neck, and once seeing her face; the way she smiled, the way she seemed so at ease being with him, he couldn't hold himself back as he had to say something, though he tried to bite his lip not to, "Flair..."
Seeing this lip bite, as well as the struggles in his voice, she was curious to know why, "What's wrong, Cyril?"
Even as he tried to fight back, it was no good, and after hearing her innocent voice worry for him, Cyril couldn't hold back any longer, "I know you're probably going to kill me for this, and I know this is stupid to ask but... What can I do to continue the show of your majestic smile?" Having brought it up, she felt the smile she had and was quick to turn it to a frown, "No no no! Don't feel bad, I just..." Now as another turn of events, she got off of him, proceeding to stand up from his chest and walk away towards to left side of the bed, "Flair! Wait!" Rolling to his side as quickly as he could, he stood upright once rolled to his belly, and he looked to his right to see her sitting down by herself now, "Flair, please, I..."
"Cyril..." Even as he took a step towards her, he stopped once she had spoken, "You should understand why I don't want to smile... Why I don't want to laugh..."
"I do understand that... And that's why I want so desperately to bring those emotions back... After all that I've gone through, I understand why you're scared... You're afraid that... because you feel so upset, if you try to feel joy, you're afraid your joy will forever be stained with the feeling of anguish... You don't want to lose your emotions, so I understand... and I won't push it... I just... I just want to help... that's all..." He knew he shouldn't have pushed it, and the frown Flair showed made that very obvious to him, but luckily for him, he was able to turn things around, "Hehe... Hehehe..." Hearing the sudden chuckling, Flair picked her head up and looked to him, watching as he smiled towards her for some reason, "That was stupid of me to ask. I've always said I've liked you, and that goes for whoever you are. If you don't wish to smile, I'll understand, and will still continue to protect you. And even if you do choose to smile, I'll understand then too, and will continue to protect you that way as well," Unfortunately, what he was doing got to Flair as she showed a smile, and rather then comment on it, he simply continued as normal, "Life's happy either way as long as I have you," Stretching out his body now, it was time to call it a night, "I do hope that... Uuuuuuuuugh... that you wouldn't mind cuddling either way."
As he laid to his stomach, he waited for her to say something, and because of the word, Flair tried to avoid it even with a blush, letting off a growl to hopefully get her blood boiling, "Sure, fine, whatever."
"Sure to what, Flair?" She showed her teeth to see what he was doing, "You can say cuddles."
"I'm going to cuddle my arm around your neck until it pops if you keep trying to tease me," Flair growled, but her smile and blush was very much present, "But just to fill your sick nature..." Sighing as she couldn't believe she was saying this, her show of teeth disappeared, but not her smile, "I wouldn't... mind... having some cuddle time with you."
With her innocence; showing from her tone, her smile, and the way her body softened as she said it, Cyril himself couldn't hold back a blush to see her so calmed. As Flair sat next to him, she tried her best to rid herself of both her smile, and blush, as to not show this side of her. Though, because of how she sat, he was able to see the blush, some of the smile, and her beautiful shining body. Seeing all of her features, Cyril's chest lit up with comfort he's only ever felt from her before. Looking back to him now, Flair noticed this face of awe that still seemed present after what she had said, and to make things even more embarrassing between the two, Cyril let slip as he couldn't hold his words down, "You are literally the cutest female to have ever existed."
After hearing this, the blush burned Flair's cheeks which helped her get her other emotions back to bite back at him, "You are begging for me to slit your throat right here and now, aren't you!" Cyril swallowed hard as even with her being so evil in a way to him, he couldn't help but sweat to see her, and she noticed this, giving a sigh even to it, "Ugh... let me guess... you're getting off by me being angry at you, aren't you...?"
He didn't respond to her which made Flair once again sigh, and to hear this sigh, he apologized, "I'm sorry! Blame your mother for your cute nature."
"There's never been more of a time when I've wanted to kill a dragon more then I want to for you right now."
"You want to kill a dragon for me? Could you go upstairs and kill Malefor?"
She didn't respond to him, but rather scooted her body some over to Cyril, and using her blade as she sat by his side, she cuffed it around the front of his neck. Even as a threat, Flair wasn't surprised to the smirk that went across his face, and seeing as he lifted his left paw, she stood ready and listened to what he had to say, "Well, on one paw, we could continue this nightly battle, or..." Reaching up his other paw and putting his elbow into the bed to support him, Flair's eyes grew slightly wide to see the ice cube in his paw, "On this other paw, we could end this night with a smile. I give you this ice cube, we cuddle up, I kiss your forehead, and we go to sleep... together..."
Cyril watched as she let off a sigh, and unfortunately for her, his words got to her. No control came over her tail, so it simply slid down his neck, back down onto the bed, and she later pulled it back behind herself. Doing as she wished now, Flair turned her body some to face straight, and to a comfortable position, she laid herself down to his right; belly flat. Laid down now, her paw reached up and over to grab the ice cube, but stopped suddenly. This caused a shiver from Cyril, afraid she was to attack him, and even though she growled, it wasn't anything he couldn't handle, "I'm in control of this relationship, you understand me? I asked for this ice cube, I asked to lay down next to you, and I asked to cuddle with you."
"You ask to lay down next to me and for cuddles?" Even though she wanted him to know his place, Cyril turned this to his advantage, "Awwwwwwww. Flair, do you... Are you falling in love with me or something?"
She growled, but smiled, to see what he did, "Damn you..."
This got Cyril to chuckle. Thankfully to her, after just that little talk, Flair felt that much happier, that much safer, Even though I wish I didn't have to fight him... Every time I do, I always get to see the side of him I enjoy so much... Even though... He shows his comforting side to me all the time no matter what, and I... I need... to take a breath. Grabbing the ice cube from his paw now, Flair moved the cube towards her mouth, and once placed to her tongue, she backed her paw up and closed her mouth. Feeling the cool feeling of the ice as it turned into water as she sucked on it, all the anger she had left started to leave her as thoughts of her mother started to take over. I wish you were here mom... If only you could see Cyril... if only, you could tell me if he was the one... I would've agreed with you as I always did. Not only did she have a cool feeling in her mouth from the ice, but so did she to her back, and knowing this feeling well, she looked some to her left to see Cyril's wing placed over her back. Not only did she notice his wing, but also his smile as he looked at her. As he said he would, Cyril moved his head up and pecked Flair to her forehead. She closed her eyes, smiling to the feeling of his lips connecting to her forehead, and with every feeling all at once, her entire body felt much cooler than normally, but she enjoyed it all the way through. A smack of his lips was heard as he pulled from her forehead, and now seeing what almost looked like a permanent smile to Flair's face, he felt like now would be a perfect time to close off the night, "Thank you... for everything, Flair..."
Her smile grew slightly wider to his words. Just as he was preparing to lay his head to his paws, Flair quickly stopped him, "Cyril, wait!" Stopping, he looked to his right, but as he did, he had to look down to see her as she had laid her head down to his paws, "I don't like knowing that my fins could harm you, but..." Moving her head back and against his chest, she listened very closely as his heart beat at a consistent pace, "I just... need to hear this..."
"Hehe, it's okay, Flair," Laying his head down now over the back of her neck, he closed his eyes, "But, just out of curiosity, what would you like to do tomorrow?"
"Honestly..." Nuzzling him with her head to his chest, she closed her eyes and murmured, "As long as I have you by my side, I'd be down for anything."
"Does that mean we're going to the beach tomorrow?"
"You know what... I... wouldn't mind that at all."
To hear the joy; the comfort, in Flair's voice as she finally seemed so happy with her life and decisions, Cyril couldn't help but shiver in excitement himself with this realization. I will do everything I can to make you proud, Flair... As your Guardian Angel, that is my promise to you, Cyril thought with joy, going deep now into his thoughts, wondering on what tomorrow could hold for him and Flair.
Stretching out enough to wake himself, Spyro stirred in his sleep, and with an odd feeling in his gut, he thought to himself, What the... hell... Waking himself now, his eyes opened as he let off a yawn. With his head raised and his lips smacked closed, his first instinct was to check the room. Laid to his bed and first checking his left, he later focused to his right, and with nothing around aside from the darkness and the moon's light shining from the window above their bed, he focused downwards. To his side rested Cynder as her back rested to his side, and her stomach facing outwards away from him. Watching as she rested, a smile grew across his face, and out of comfort, he moved his wing up and down her side which had rested over her as she slept. The feeling of his wing made her smile, and while he wished to cherish this small moment, the darkness from within his body started to stir which widened his eyes. Darkness... in the Guardian's Building?! Without hesitation, Spyro grew to his dark purple form, standing to the bed now as he prepared for a fight. This shift in the bed as he stood, and even as he hopped off of it woke Cynder now from the sudden movements. Grumbling from the sudden wake, something felt off to her, Where... Where am I? Eyes opened wide now, a quick look around the room helped her get her surrounds. How did I get here? Rolling to her side, her vision focused straight as she noticed a dark looking dragon walking towards the door, "Sp... Spyro...?" Noticing the form he was in, her body was quick to wake now as a shiver shot through her spine, "Spyro?!"
"Stay here, and what ever you do, don't let your darkness show," Spyro was quick and to the point, and once at the door, he stopped to turn and face her only slightly, "There's darkness in the building, and while I can sense it being Malefor's, it's not from his room, which means he isn't the one using it," With this information in mind, Cynder once again shivered as she had an idea of who it could be, "That means, it's either Malefor, or, that other dark master. If anything happens, use your darkness immediately to contact me. I'll be right back."
"Spyro, wait!" Raising a paw out as she called his name, he didn't hear her and disappeared suddenly within a small cloud of smoke, and with him gone now, Cynder spoke to herself, "I don't even remember what happened after we were in the Training Room."
Fazing through the door, almost like liquid, a dark dragon appeared from within a room, similar to that of any other normal room: A table to the left, a bookshelf to the right, and a window above the bed in the back. As the dragon made his way through the room and to the back, he made out two dragons laying to the bed; one being red, and another being blue. To the back of the room now, the dragon focused to the red dragon first, seeing she was laying to her left side; back against the blue dragon. Seeing the wing the blue dragon had over the back of the red dragon made him growl, I knew you'd be just as worthless as Claire was. Focusing to Cyril now, he noticed as he slept. It's not that hard to kill someone. Bringing his blade around, the dark dragon stopped to hear Flair growling within her sleep. Unfortunately for him, she woke. Shacking her head, Flair couldn't find a way to sleep, and thought to herself of what to do, Even with how comfortable I am... why do I still feel so scared? Rolling to her stomach now, a quick glance to Cyril made her look past the dark dragon for now, "Hey, Cyr..."
Stopping her voice, she noticed the blade that stopped halfway through from its body and Cyril's. Focusing up to who it was, her teeth showed to see who it was, and the same as she did to him, he showed his teeth back to her, but she was the one who spoke first, "What's the matter, Flint? Too scared to come here on your own so you send a little clone of yourself?"
"Don't speak to me in such a manner," He growled back at her, "I'm simply here to do what you can't. I expected at least one death after the display you showed, but from the looks of things, with you still being here, and me not detecting Spyro's rage, you failed. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised; never send someone to do a job you could easily do yourself," Now going through with using his tail, he swung it inwards towards Cyril's head, but just as the tip touched his forehead, Flair snapped up and grabbed Flint's tail, which he growled to her for, "You stupid bitch."
"If you want to talk so baldy, then we can take this out to the hallway, not here."
"But he's right here. I could kill him right now and start a war. Don't you want to see blood shed?"
"Let me rephrase," Using her fire now, his tail hissed as she burned it, "We, 'will', take this out to the hallway."
Growling from her burning his tail, the clone yanked his tail back and hissed towards her as he backed away. Stood up from the bed now, with Cyril's wing no longer on her back, she was free to show off her anger as well, sharpening her fins from head to tail and showing teeth of her own. It wasn't something he wanted her to know, but unfortunately, he knew he'd lose the fight. Letting out a scuff, Flint turned and made his way out of the room as he walked to the door. Sighing to know what she'll have to deal with, Flair looked to Cyril and apologized, I'm sorry... Cyril... but I guess this relationship will once again be short lived. Crawling down off the bed, first the front of Flair's paws landed, and then so did her feet. Walking over to the door in a slightly faster pace than a walk, she passed by the middle of the room and made it to the door in no time. Once stopped, she reached up, grabbed the doorknob, twisted it, and opened the door. Pushing the door open, she kept her fins sharpened as she walked out of the room. Looking to her left first, then her right, she noticed the dark dragon clone of Flint sitting a couple doors down and nearest to the entrance of the Chambers. As she approached him, she made sure to keep a conversation going as to keep him from doing something she'd have to fight against, "I told you I have everything handled. I simply just need more time," Stood a couple steps away from him now, she kept the conversation going, "It's hard to get the others alone when they always check on one another every single morning, so getting them by themselves is rather difficult."
"Bullshit!" His sudden growl didn't affect her, though it did cause a shiver, "Cyril's right there, dead to rights, and you're trying to make some bullshit excuse that you can't kill him?!" Unknowing to the other two, Spyro crouched down around the left corner of the Chamber entrance, and hugging the wall, he made sure to stay in the shadows in case he needed to make a hidden strike, "I sent you here to do one job. You killed my dragons to show your worth, and you even killed one right in front of me. I know you have what it takes, so why is this so difficult for you? Are you realizing this is a man's job?"
"It is a man's job, which is why I'm here doing this and not you," She spat towards him which he didn't appreciate, "And what makes you think I'm not playing the long game?"
Shivering to himself as something was a miss, Cyril grumbled to himself still within almost deep sleep, Flair...? His body was still barely functional and almost acted on it's own, forcing his wing around as he patted the bed, trying to find where his warmth went. Without the warmth he was now getting use to feeling, his body woke itself more as he now spoke out loud, "Flair...?" Not getting a response or any sign she was even still on the bed, his eyes opened now, waking himself fully as he said her name again, "Flair?" Looking to his right and with no sign of her, a quick look to his left also showed no sign of her, but once faced straight, he noticed the door was opened and spoke her name, though addressing her differently, "Beautiful?"
Seeing the door opened now, out of pure reaction and worry, Cyril was quick to stand up and jump off from the bed and to the floor. Running through the middle of the room and making it over to the door, with his speed, he flew out from the room and into the hallway. Faced to his left, then his right, he noticed her down the hallway and smiled to see her standing there. There you are, Beautiful. Walking over to her now, he noticed something was off, and upon looking past her, he growled, ducking low even to see a dark dragon talking to her. Being close enough, he could hear the two speaking, and the one who spoke was the dark dragon, "Long game? Okay, settling down, becoming Cyril's mate, having a family, and dying happy is not the long game I need from you. I need results, and with you having not killed anyone yet, I'm starting to believe you're a filthy traitor."
"I act when I feel like it!" Flair stood her ground, "Which would you rather have; one dead dragon, or two?" This helped keep Flint interested with what she had to say, "Listen, I already have it planned out. The girls already see my as a friend, and I can use that. Cyril's nothing more than an obedient dog. Whatever I say or do, he will, so there's a possibility I could force him to make a decision that could get someone killed," Hearing how easily she said it; like it flew off her tongue without hesitation, having been pre-planned almost, Cyril gasped as he backed away from her now, "But I have a different idea. If I keep him thinking that I like him, he'll keep me around. With the emotions the girls 'think' I'll have for him after I kill him, they'll comfort me, and there's a chance I could kill every single one of them," It seemed what she was saying was working, and she watched as the wheels started to turn in his head as he thought about it, "You want Spyro's anger to burst? Then let me continue my mission here. There's even a huge possibility I could kill Cynder for you. She thinks I'm her friend; that she can relate to me. So even then, I could ignite your war for you."
Now, after hearing this, Spyro turned completely against her, letting his teeth show as he knew he was right all along. I knew it... I KNEW IT! She should've NEVER been allowed to stay here! Damn it, Cyril! Having everything under control for now, Flair didn't ease up, but she felt much calmer in knowing she accomplished something. I just need to get him to leave. Once that happens, I can tell the others and hopefully get help from all of them. Her thoughts didn't last long as she heard someone chuckling, very close to that of Spyro's evil, menacing chuckle in his dark form, but once focused to who it was, it was Flint, "Hehehehe, oh no no no, Flair. You see, I need this done tonight. I haven't made any progress no matter what I've done, and I need a way to rally the troops. So, it's either you kill Cyril tonight, or," Smirking to her, he let reveal a secret, "I'll be sure to have your father visit you tomorrow."
Upon hearing just the title alone, Flair's body completely shut down. Her fins all eased, her body suddenly went weak, and without anyway to control her thoughts or voice, she let show her fear. Flint smiled to see her flipping out so suddenly; watching as her chest grew outwards before collapsing inwards with every heavy breath, and already shows of tears that started to form. But even past all that and shivers, Flair tried her hardest to stay strong, "N... No...! You're... You're lying! You're... I..."
"Hehe, oh, I am? I'm sure Fabian would beg to differ," Backing up now away from Flint, his smile grew to see the fear that she had for her father, and he made sure to use that, "Hehe, you know, even for someone like me, listening to what he'd do to you; how he'd split your body in two and rip out your spine to put on his wall as a trophy, he's one scary ass man," Picking up and looking to his claws as he knew he had this conversation completely under his control now, he didn't care for her fears, "Hehe, yeah, after I told him you were trying to make a new life, he, flipped, out. I had to send in a dark creature to calm him down, and in a near instant, he grabbed its skull, dug his claws into it and ripped the damn thing straight down the middle. And imagining your body doing the same is just... Hehe, well, it's honestly hilarious."
"You... You wouldn't... He... I..." In complete shock and fear, even as Flair tried to control herself, Flint continued to make things worse.
"THEN DO AS I ASK!" Shedding tears now and ducking her head to the floor, Flair felt completely weak; powerless in the situation, "If you don't bring me Cyril's body by tomorrow, I'll make sure someone from your family pays you a visit!" Just to add fuel to the flames, Flint proceeded to do just as her father did; psychological dismantling her, "Your father told me of what a monster you really are. Those that you killed, those that you pushed away, and how you killed your mother," Now completely to the ground aside from her back side that tried to stand its ground, Flair continued to stain the ground in her tears, thinking on the death of her mother, "She was pregnant too... Heh... What a shame... It's just a shame she died and not you, and after what you did to Fabian, I'm very surprised he didn't slit your throat," Now seeing all the damage he had done to her mental state, he smiled down on her, "It's going to be real funny seeing Spyro react the same way once his friends die. Though, knowing him, he'll put up much more of a fight than you ever could."
Not having known what he said, he watched as Flair's body suddenly shook, though, it didn't seem like it was from the fear he was hoping to get out of her. Spyro... Thinking on his name now, Flair was able to regain control over her body as her thoughts continued to raise her spirits. No... No...! After what I've seen, everyone... everyone would... be there for me... Cynder... my... family... my real... family...! Sharpening her fins back now, Flair's strength gathered as she started thinking on all the smiles of those closest to her, naming them off as she went. Spyro, Cynder, Malefor, Ignitus, Ersa... Cyril... Everyone... Getting a hold of herself now, the blood within her boiled now with intense rage for what he was trying to get her to do, "I don't give a shit WHO you send!" Backing away from her now, she raised her head and body quickly, gaining back much more ground than before, "My previous family... my... father... Is NOTHING! Compared to the family I have now!" Burning fire through her nose and being very visible to the back of her mouth, she shot a small burst of fire from her nose, "I'll tell you this as I have told everyone before!" Bringing up her right paw and swinging it to her left, Flair made sure her statement was absolute, "Cyril's my prey! And not you, OR YOUR DARK ARMY, WILL DARE HARM HIM!"
Swishing her paw across the front of her, a loud smack was heard as fire erupted from her paw. The fire acted as a whip, and with the crack from it being used, it slashed clean through the dark dragon, killing and disposing of the clone. The fire continued as it slammed to the wall, igniting the hallway in a flash of red, showing a glimpse of Spyro and his white, shining teeth. But since she was focused more into the flames as they cuffed around the hallway, she didn't notice. Circling around the hallway, the flames went from the right of the hallway, then to the middle before hitting the left wall, curving downwards towards the floor and disappearing. Breathing rather heavily as sweat dripped from her forehead, Flair fell to her backside as emotions went everywhere from what had just happened. He... He wouldn't really... He wouldn't really have told him... he wouldn't have met him...! There's... there's no way... Even as she tried to calm herself, a sudden voice sent chills through her spin, "So... You really were just using me..."
Her head shot up as she quickly turned her head to see who it was. Seeing Cyril as he ducked his head along with his tail, he turned away from her and proceeded to walk away. Cyril! Feeling a jab to her heart seeing as he turned his back on her, Flair begged with a cry as she turned her entire body now and ran over to him, "CYRIL! Please, wait!" Running past his left side, he stopped, and with her in front of him, she lunged her arms forward along with her body and hugged him, holding him close as she cried, "Cyril! Please... Please-please-please... Please believe me! That was all a lie! I swear... I swear to you..." Crying over his back with her arms around the back of his neck, she didn't hear him speak; she didn't feel him move, "Cyril-please-I'm... I'm so scared-I... I can't... I can't, do this..." Every thought caused a shiver where as every word caused a tear as she begged, pleaded for him to understand her true intentions, "Cyril... My father... If he... If he really does show... I... I couldn't... He'd... He'd kill me... He'd..." Clenching her eyes closed shut, she held him close to her once again, "Please, Cyril-I... After all you've said to me... all that you've done for me... please... I don't want to lose... another family... I don't want to lose someone else I could call... the love of my life..."
For what felt like a lifetime, Flair continued her rain if tears over Cyril's back, holding on with all the strength she could; afraid of the second she were to let go, he'd abandon her. Unfortunately, with how scared she was hearing and seeing Flint, her body couldn't continue the grip she had over him, and feeling it fade, so did her voice as she tried with one last desperate cry, "I'm sorry... Cyril... I... I would never..." With her arms falling from his neck and back to the ground, the only thing she could do now was to maneuver her head past his right shoulder and adjust her forehand to rest against his chest, looking now to the floor as she cried, "Cyril..."
"How do I know you aren't trying to manipulate me...?"
Finally, he spoke to her, and while she felt a jab to her heart to hear him say, after what she had done to him, Flair wasn't surprised, "I... I don't... I don't know..."
Now stuck in the same situation he was with her, Flair now understand the pain and confusion he had to go through. I can't... lose him... but how can I convince him...? After what I said... after what I've done... how do I get him to believe me. Feeling as his heart started to raise a beat more against his chest, her eyes opened some now, and thankfully to her, he continued to speak, but what he did say was rather surprising, "You know... Maybe I would believe you if you mated with me," This immediately got her eyes to widen from such a thing being said from him, and using a paw, she placed it to his chest, pushed herself up along with her head, and looked dead in his eyes with a red blush showing on her face and his, "Hehe, I mean, I'm pretty sure it's the 'only' way, for me to tell if you're serious or not."
Now hearing his voice, seeing his smile, and after thinking back to her now last memories, Flair sighed, and even surprisingly to her; a smile crept across her face, "Even when I need your help, you still try to seduce me, don't you?"
"Hehe, damn. What gave it away?"
His chuckle and expression toward her words got her to giggle the same, and once again, it surprised her to feel this sudden joy come back to her being with Cyril once again. Because her paw still rested to his chest, she could feel every beat of his heart, and this in a way comforted her as well. He lives and breaths just as I do... I know... I know he wouldn't abandon me... I... Flair held on to hope that he really did still care for her, but even with her positive thoughts, there were still very much negative ones. Fortunately for her, Cyril noticed these shivers, and just as she once thought, he confirmed her hopes, "You know I wouldn't abandon you... right?" Almost as if he had read her mind, Flair's scales stood up on end to hear him comfort her on her greatest fears, "Look... I... I like you entirely too much... and honestly... I know this is a terrible thing to say as it makes Malefor right but... even if you are... using me... I still want to be with you."
"And you act like I don't want to be with you," Flair smiled, and getting a smile from Cyril helped her forget about the pains she had felt; the fear of once again being alone, "It's just... it's a real shame that he revealed what my long term plan was with you..." Cyril felt as though fire had just exploded from within his head from pure excitement and embarrassment, but seeing this red face of Cyril's, she showed her teeth, going back to her original self, "Don't get any funny ideas. I still want you dead and I will try everything to fight back against you, but..." Shivering now as her mind went back to what was said, Flair's voice and expression once again grew fearful, "Cyril... My... My dad-he'll... He'll kill me if he sees me... He... He'll turn you against me, just as he did with everyone else I knew... everyone else... I loved..."
Shacking his head to her fears, the confidence in his voice, and the care in each word he had was everything Flair needed, everything she wanted, "I'm your Guardian Angel, remember? I'd never let him hurt you..." It was reassuring for her to hear, and though he wished to continue this help, his words were taken out of context, "And even if you don't think I could protect you, I'm sure Spyro would be more than enough to keep those fears away. Though, if you want his help, there's going to be a price."
"A price?" Flair's teeth showed very quickly.
"Oh, no no no! Not like that! You see, the way the others do things around here is, well; say Spyro protects you from a threat. All you'd have to do is tell Cynder how helpful he was, and she'll be the one to reward him. So if you were to protect Spyro, he'd have to tell me what a good job you did and I would reward you... Hehe, though, I guess that would make you not want to help anyone as that would be a punishment."
She heard the dismay in his voice, but thankfully, she helped cheer him up, "And who ever said I wouldn't appreciate a kiss from you?" This got him to pick his head up, and her words after only helped that much more, "Those negative thoughts were from manipulation, remember? Now that I'm finally able to see things in my own light... I know what I want... I just..." She stopped, shivering still from memories of her past, "I'm glad one fear was dealt with... but now... I have even more to deal with..."
"Not alone of course," Cyril was quick to comfort her, which she smiled to, "Unfortunately though, you're going to have more to deal with tonight."
"Oh...? How so?"
"Well, I'm going to try to get your mind away from these fears as I've done before by making me the center of attention. So... what do you say we head back to your room and I could... maybe... stand over you and give you some neck nibbles or something," She blushed just as hard as he did, but this still worked out in his favor as he could use what he just said, "But of course, the choice is up to you. We could either cuddle, or, I could try to be a little... adventurous..."
"If your tongue comes anywhere near my neck, I will bite."
"Hehe, what about between your hind legs?"
"WH...?!" This completely caught her off guard, and now, she grew defensive, "CYRIL!"
"What are you going to do about it?"
Cyril smirked to her, and not even knowing it, she fell for his trap; completely now forgetting what had just happened. To keep her on her toes, he moved past her and ran back over to her room. Growling before turning herself, Flair sharpened her fins, running after him with swift speed. Swinging herself around, she turned to the room and ran into it before slamming the door behind herself shut with her tail. Neither Flint nor the other two had spotted Spyro, and since he knew he still had the element of surprise, he showed his teeth, thinking about all he had learned of, I knew you should've never been trusted. Stood completely up now, Spyro turned, and using his darkness, a quick zip through his darkness at near lightning speed helped him appear almost instantly back to his room. With the sudden appearance, Cynder stood up on the bed and shivered to see a dark dragon walking towards her, but once seeing the glowing yellow eyes, and hearing the voice, she knew who it was, "Flair is no longer apart of this family, and NEVER should've been in the first place!" Coming out with a rather strong voice, this caused another shiver to hear Spyro so upset, "I knew she was working with that dark master, I knew she'd be a problem the day she got here-and I KNEW, she was nothing more than a threat I should've dealt with on DAY ONE!"
With him hopped up onto the bed now, Cynder turned to her left to look at him; trying her best to keep a very low voice to calm him, "Whoa whoa whoa, my love, it's okay..." Reaching a paw over to his as he sat, she could feel the anger that boiled within his scales, "It's okay..." With her touch and voice, he was able to breathe, though his breaths were much more intense than normal, "I'm here... and what ever is going on... I'm sure we can get past it..." Since she was the one taking over as a voice, he was able to concentrate on calming himself, "Tell me what happened. And who is the 'she' you're speaking of? Are you talking about Claire?"
"No... I'm talking about Flair," Even though he had calmed some, just saying her name got him flustered, "I saw her... I SAW her, speaking with that other dark dragon, talking about how she'd kill you, how she'd kill everyone! Cyril was right there and witnessed all of it, but because he doesn't see the kind of... MONSTER, that she is, he continues to suck up to her, he continues to be used by her, and it's pathetic at this point that he doesn't see it!"
Flair said she'd kill all of us? Just that thought alone, something felt off to Cynder, and in order to get as much information as she could, she asked, "Just so I'm caught up to speed, tell me exactly what happened; from beginning to end."
Sighing as to help calm himself, Cynder also helped by using her wing by draping it over his back. This helped a lot, and she could tell by the smile that tried to form but was quickly shut down. Remembering back to all that was said, he did as he was told and started from the beginning, "First, Flair started speaking to the dark dragon as though they knew each other, which they very much did as I'll go into detail later. She told this dragon that she had everything under control, and that she needed more time. Her plans to kill us all are rather difficult since we check up on each other so often. The dark dragon, which I'm guessing was male, quickly grew defensive. He called her out; saying how he could've killed Cyril, but she stopped him. That doesn't prove she's innocent, especially what she said afterwards. But going back, he talked about how he sent her to do this job. She killed dragons of his group, including one right in front of him, and he acknowledges she has what it takes to kill us."
He stopped for a second to breath, which helped give Cynder time to think, out loud though as to keep a discussion, "Well, we knew Flair was an assassin rather quickly. But one of the biggest things that confuses me is, why is she talking about trying to get us all alone to kill us? She's shown she'd kill publicly, unfortunately with you having been the show of that, and she's even tried to kill Cyril before a good number of times alone but didn't. If anything, it sounds like she's either lying, or just simply trying to buy time. And being honest, her killing dragons isn't a surprise."
"She said she was playing a long game, which the dragon called her out, saying that her becoming Cyril's mate and having a happy life isn't the long game he wants for her," Spyro took Cynder's words into consideration, mainly as a way to use them to show Flair really was just a traitor, "Flair's long game consists of this; She'd rather kill many compared to one. She knows you girls consider her a friend, which she wishes to use. Flair even had the guts to call Cyril an obedient dog, which he listened all to; even listening to how she'd use him since he'd do anything for her. But her plan is to use you girls once she kills him. With the emotions she thinks you all will have, you all will try comfort her, and she can kill you all off in an instant, and she even acknowledge your friendship for her," Growling as he kept thinking about how he felt during that situation, and for what she had said afterwards, Spyro felt as Cynder rubbed his side with her wing to keep him calm, "He didn't agree with her plan, and told her that she needed to kill Cyril tonight or else her father would pay her a visit. For some reason, she almost... collapsed, just from hearing this alone."
"Well, Ignitus did say her father psychological dismantled her."
"Yeah..." While he did remember this, Spyro didn't think too much on it, "After that, she flipped out, calling him a liar. He said a name... Fabian, I believe; which I think is her father's name. He talked about what Fabian would do if he saw Flair trying to make a new life; how he'd rip her in two before pulling out her spine and placing it on his wall as a trophy," Hearing such violence for what this father would do, Cynder's shiver was intense enough to shake the bed, and feeling this powerful shiver, he stopped, "Whoa... Cynder... Are you okay?"
"Yeah..." She was quick to lie, "Just... continue... please..."
He saw past this lie, not only from the voice she gave, but also the tears she was fighting back against, but he did as he was told, "Ahem... well... after he said this, Fabian killed a dark creature in a rather... gruesome way that I... won't say... But it seemed as though he was hammering into her mind what her father would do... She cried, saying how he'd never get him to show... The dragon shot back, yelling at her to do as he asked. It was either, she brought Cyril's body to him tomorrow, or someone from her family would pay her a visit..." His eyes grew wide as he finally realized something he hadn't before, "Cyril! He's all by himself!" Quickly standing now, fear took over all of his decisions as his body forced him to step; forcing even his anger, "She'll kill him!"
"Spyro!"
Hearing his name be suddenly yelled, his paw was immediately taken back as the cry Cynder gave while sounding demanding seemed much more out of fear. It didn't take him looking at her for too long to notice the obvious shivers that she had, but once noticed, he was gentle as he sat back down. Trying to help control her fears, Cynder was able to control her emotions and look past what she was thinking about, "Listen... I know you might not believe me as you haven't spent as much time as me and the girls have with Flair... She has my trust and my friendship for a reason, and that reason is mainly the fact that she's exactly like me..." Using his wing now to help her out, Spyro draped it over her back and past her wing that rested to his, and this helped her think more on her point, "After listening to what her father would do... to his own... daughter... to his own... hatchling..." Every time Cynder thought about it, another powerful shiver shuck the bed, "I get you're scared, and I get why... but we still don't even understand the full story to why she acts the way she does... Everyone believed I was a monster without understanding the darkness, and the same goes for her; you view her as a monster only from the known rather than the unknown..." He ducked his head a little as he understood why she was upset, and her words after didn't help his case either, "So if you're thinking this for Flair right now, than you also thought of me as a monster at some point too..."
"What?!" Spyro cried, not wanting her to think such things, "I have never and will never think of you as such because you never were and never will be."
"Then for the rest of what you say, I want you to put yourself in the place of Cyril, and me in the place of Flair. Everything that you've previously discussed, and even past that; would you have reacted the same way Cyril did?" The more and more Spyro thought about it, the more similarities he could see between her, and Cynder, which also helped him understand how Cyril would feel, "You said he defended her... When everyone else thought I was a monster, you protected me. Even when the Dark Master told you that I was using you, you denied it and protected me... Flair isn't as strong as you... And just the same for me, I know I couldn't fight the darkness alone... same goes for Flair... but that's where you... that's where Cyril, comes in, and protects the female he's with... the family... he's with."
While he now understood where she was coming from, he still remembered back to something that was said that still wasn't something he could get off his mind, "I understand... and I completely... agree with you... but the only thing that makes me still fear is what this dragon said Flair had done... and what could've caused all of this, tension, between her and her family..." Cynder didn't respond, but rather sat back and listened to what he had to say, "He talked about what Flair had done thanks to information from her father. He said she killed those close to her, she pushed them away, and... she even killed her own mother," Once again, Cynder didn't respond, nor did she act surprised to the news she heard, which made Spyro wonder if she was agreeing with him, "But worst of all was that... when Flair did kill her mother... her mother was pregnant... After some time... Flair suddenly switched up attitudes after something was said. Flair said her family is nothing compared to the one she has now. Then, she made a stand, just as she had to everyone, and made it very clear that Cyril is her prey before killing the dragon."
Staying quiet to now see what reaction she would have to all of this, Cynder didn't hear the ending to this event, "And what happened afterwards...? You said Cyril was there and listened to all of it... What did he say to her...? What did he do to her?"
"At first, it seemed like he was done with her, but he... changed. She begged and pleaded for him to understand she was trying to lie, and that with her father showing up here soon, she doesn't know if she could face him alone... After they had talked some, Cyril made a rather... ahem... well, sexual, joke, which got Flair upset. He chuckled to this and ran back to Flair's room with her following behind him. After that, the door was shut by her and I headed back up here."
Cynder sat there in silence as nothing added up to anything he was saying as it seemed like a completely different dragon to that of what she was use to, After her first night with Cyril, she seemed completely changed. And day after day, I've seen nothing but progress. And after our first girls day, she finally broke; told us how helpful Cyril was... And there's no way she'd kill a pregnant woman , especially not her own mother after we already learned and saw her fears with Ersa! With everything piecing together now, Cynder had more than enough to prove Flair's innocence, "All that was said was complete bullshit," Spyro gave wide eyes to hear the angry side to Cynder, so he made sure to stay quiet, "That dragon was manipulating her, and I don't believe a single word that was said. From the sounds of it, her father twisted that story. Her father was probably the one to kill her mother, and from the sounds of his... aggression... I'm not surprised Flair's the way she is. But that means that all this fear, anger, and hate towards everyone, really was because of emotional trauma," Snapping her head over towards Spyro, he raised his paws up with a drop of sweat to his forehead, "Was anything else revealed about her past? Anything else we could use to help her?"
Swallowing hard, he tried his best to remember something, but all that he gave was pretty much it, "I don't believe so... All I know is... Her and Fabian are not on great terms."
Cynder looked away from him now and down towards the bed, and while he could tell something was bugging her much more than even what was going on now, she continued with what she had to say, "Spyro... she had an opportunity to kill you but didn't take it... Learning about more of what's happened to her, the amount of stress she must be under at this point... Our decisions... will shape if she becomes a friend, or a foe..." Looking to him now, it was calming to hear she had calmed, but now she seemed just depressed, "The amount of stress she must be under; having the dark master watching her moves, hearing her family would show to kill her, and not even sure if she could trust us..."
"Cynder, it's okay..." Spyro murmured to her, "I'm on your side about this now... and... I'm glad you stopped me when you did, that's for sure," Even after saying this, it seemed to have helped, but still seeing something was bugging her, he had to ask as he couldn't stand seeing her seem so scared for some reason, "Cynder... what else is bugging you...? Was it something I said or... did I... do something to disappoint you...? Should I have stepped in and stopped the threat before the Dark Master said what he did to Flair...?"
Cynder couldn't stay quiet about it any longer, and from how she moved; snuggling her body against his side to get as much comfort as possible, for some reason, he did believe the problem was him. To help get that much more comfortable, Cynder took her wing down from his back as she backed up some, and once placing her wing back to her side, she was able to fully snuggle to his side. With his wing still to her right and over her back, he kept rubbing her side with it. Spyro even went as far as to wrap his tail around hers, but before he had a chance, she was the one who took action and grabbed a hold over his tail. Spyro tried his best to look down towards her, but from how she faced downwards, it seemed as though she didn't want to face him. Feeling decently better than what she had before, Cynder sighed; giving one last shiver that was much more tamed, "I don't want to say this as I don't ever want to think like this, but... after hearing... what someone's own father would do to their own hatchling..." Feeling a drop of cold water touch his paw, he noticed the tear she had shed, but she still kept calm, "Just as a hypothetical... if me and you were mates, would you ever harm me the same way Fabian would...? Would you ever threaten our hatchling if I was to ever die...?" Now understanding why she was trying to hide it, he wasn't even able to get out any words as she suddenly apologized for it, "No... No no no, you'd never, and you've proved that being my love, but... I... I... I'm sorry," Pushing back away from him now, she looked to her right and away from him for asking such a thing, "That was inappropriate for me to ask... after all, I'm the only one who's ever taken a life before..."
The doubt and misery that Spyro had to listen in her voice, he couldn't stand hearing her beat herself up, and with the dark purple form he was still in, he had to ask his friends, Kettu... Xvar... I have to do it. It was silent at first, but he heard back from one of them, that being Kettu, "We're ready when you are." After Kettu had spoken, Xvar was next up, "Just focus on her and we will focus on the defences." He smiled to hear their help, Thank you, you two. Warming up his body, his warmth grew past his red flames, then his blue flames, before warming his body up to his purple flames. Feeling this familiar heat, Cynder gave wide eyes as she forced herself to turn now to look at him. It was an amazing sight to see and feel once again. The purple flames almost eliminated her discomfort, and watching purple fire shine through his scales and past his darkness was a sight to behold. Raising a paw up, he rested it over her right check, and out of pure excitement, her head forced itself onto his paw. Even with these feelings, even with his smile and the dark form she wanted him in, Cynder clenched her teeth as she fought back, "No... No! That..." She was able to back her head away, "You're not allowed to use those flames! Remember?!"
"The Spyro Promise was to make sure I wasn't harmed by the flames, and... After hearing what you've said... right now... I feel in control... I... have to be for this right now."
Scooting forward just a little, Spyro smiled to see her trying her best to fight back against it. And though she was close to fighting back, all plans of hers were halted as his lips connected with hers. While his eyes were already closed, Cynder's grew wide for a couple of seconds, allowing a tear to drop down before finally closing. To make things even better for her, Spyro tried his best to keep everything under control as he made his moves. Turning his body now fully to face her, using his other wing to go around her right side, he fell to his back and pulled her with him. With his lips sliding off hers, a giggle was heard from her which helped him chuckle the same. Now to his back and her above him, while he was ready to connect back with the kiss, Cynder was already ready herself and was quick to lock her lips with his. The feeling of his flames from his body, his wings, his tail, and even his mouth, Cynder growled within her mind as everything he was doing was working, Damn you you sexy beyond mate worthy ass you. While he wished this moment could last forever, Kettu gave a heads up, straining just to speak with him, "Spyro...! We can't... keep going...!" Thanks to their warning, he was able to ease himself from his purple flames. As his flames died down, so did his kiss. Cuffing his lips over hers one last time, he licked the front of her lips before sliding his lips off of hers. To make everything perfect, he fazed out from his dark purple form, and once Cynder had gotten her ground, she, the same as Spyro, opened their eyes. Every breath screamed lust between the two as a blush was clearly shown to each of their cheeks. Even with the pure bliss that was experienced, Cynder was able to fight back quickly, shaking her head and even standing as she moved her paws off his chest and to the bed, "No!" He smiled to see her standing above him as he was now able to inspect every part of her sweaty body, "I've had to deal with control before, and I won't allow it from you! Show me your wings, show me your neck!"
Doing as he was told, Spyro brought his wings back from her and extended them outwards. Quickly looking to her left before looking to her right, nothing seemed off, and as she focused towards his neck, he raised it. Once again, nothing was a miss, and now with no damage to be seen, Cynder growled to him, watching as he smiled back up to her once he looked back down, "No... No, there's... There's no way! You're hiding your pain! Speak to me and I can now for sure!"
Giving her a chuckle, it was but an easy request for him, "I have to ask... are you in pain?"
Shivering, she knew exactly what he was going to say, and a tear started to form as she looked down to his chest, "No... No no no, don't you dare."
"No? Oh, so you're not in pain? Hehe, then I can say for sure I'm not in any pain either."
Letting off a sigh, Cynder's body deflated as she laid to Spyro's chest, shedding another tear for his helpful words; for his helpful actions. With nothing more to do then to nuzzle her head up his neck, she placed her paws to his chest and rested over him. Now with her seeming safe and sound, he brought his wings over the back of her, and as he did, he thanked the two, Thank you once again for your help, Kettu, and you too, Xvar... You have no idea how helpful you two have been. Xvar growled, though he still sounded thankful for his words, "Enough with the mushy shit! We're just here to help." This got Spyro to chuckle, and just his chuckle alone was enough to get Cynder to smile. After what she had just experienced, Cynder couldn't stop thinking about what she had said and knew she needed to do something, I shouldn't have ask such a thing... And after that... I'm surprised Spyro didn't leave me for it. Backing her head up, Spyro noticed this and saw the frown on her face as she looked to his lips, but not his eyes. Knowing she felt bad for what was said by her, it was easy for Spyro to keep a smile the entire time he spoke as he thought nothing of it, "Hehe, Cynder, it's okay. There's nothing wrong with being afraid and needing comfort. I just hope what I did goes to show the life I want for you," His words already forced a smile which she tried to sigh and fight back against, "Hehehe... You know, we should do some more, comfortable, hypothetical situations. Hehe, here, I'll start. So, hypothetically, would you like to be my mate for a day and see what happens?" Seeing the quick redness that showed to her face, he gave a sweet, innocent chuckle, "Hehehehe..."
"Spyro," Cynder was able to fight back against his words, "This still doesn't change the fact that, the only reason our relationship could never work out is because of me..."
"You thought our relationship wouldn't work once it was revealed that the Dark Master forced you to kill my parents. You thought no one would ever accept you after something you couldn't control, and you thought you'd never have the amount of friends you do now. You have Carith, Claire, Ersa, Trish, Flair, and I guess you could say the female that joined up with Blitz, even though we haven't seen those four in a while."
"So you'd... trust me if I was your mate...? You'd... trust me with our hatchling's life...?"
"Are you asking me or telling me? Because from the sounds of it, you already understand that I trust you no matter what."
Once again, thanks to his helpful words, Cynder was easy to lay her head back down to his chest, though, to see his face, she rested her head between her two paws. He was able to barely see her face as she looked directly at him, and to keep good feelings going, he chuckled to her, "Hehe, oh yeah. You told me to wait before I disappeared, like you had a question," Remembering back, she blushed as she did remember the question she had, "What was it that you wanted to ask me?"
"Oh... Hehe... that," She first sighed before being honest, "I was wondering how I even ended back up in this room. All I remember was pleasure, pleasure, pleasure, and than... I guess I blacked out."
"Hehe, oh yeah, I know how much pleasure you were experiencing. Especially since after every bite, all I'd hear is, 'Oh, Spyro! Spyro!'"
"Yeah yeah, what ever," Hearing him tease her, she blushed, trying not to show how embarrassed she was about it, and Spyro chuckled to this, "But... you know..." Picking her head up now, suddenly, Cynder wiggled her back end with seductive movements, rubbing her scales from between her hind legs against his own, casing him to straighten out his body with embarrassment, "After having that little talk with Ersa, and experiencing how much pleasure you can give with your lips, it makes me wonder about something else that can cause so much more... if... you know what I mean."
"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh... I-I-I... Ahem..." Clearing his throat upon seeing the lust in her eyes as she looked to him, he had to swallow hard, "Hehe, now now, Cynder. Naughty naughty."
"Well, you said we should start with hypothetical situations. So, what would you say, as a hypothetical, I keep shaking my ass and we see what happens with you? What ever, shows up, I'll deal with?" Shooting stiff now as he understood all of what she had just said, Cynder giggled to see this embarrassment, as well as the control she had over this situation, "Hehe, it's only a hypothetical, my love," Ducking her head back down and nuzzling it under his head, a sigh escaped her lips as she closed her eyes, going back and being honest with him, "And plus... I... After such thoughts of what Fabian would do to his own hatchling... I want so desperately to help Flair... to talk with her once again... So... for tonight... I wish to snuggle with you in your comfort..." Her body eased as she had spoken, "And unfortunately... now... my fears of living a life without you have only intensified..."
Spyro understood all of her fears, so he knew and made sure that his closing words would ease these shivers, "I don't have to make a hypothetical situation where you're happy, because I know I can cause you joy, cause you comfort, satisfaction, and pleasure... I know the outside world is scary, but that's what I'm trying to protect everyone from... And while I don't want to do this... If Fabian does show... men like him deserve to die, and I'll be sure to help ease Flair's mind by taking him out of her fears."
"But even I know... your heart is too gentle to kill someone..."
"Hehe... I'm glad you know that I'd never hurt you, that's for sure. But... if I have to, maybe... maybe I could get Kettu or Xvar to do it. They still hate dragon kind, and I'm sure they'd appreciate the blood shed. Or... Or... If I really, wanted to... I could... bring out the Dark Master... Maybe by giving him a dragon to kill, he'll stay by long enough for me to talk to him."
"What?" His words were enough to cause a shiver, as well as forcing her eyes open.
"I'll explain my reasoning later as to why I want to speak with the Dark Master, but please don't worry about that. For now," Laying his head back and closing his eyes, he gave a small sigh, "Let's just enjoy this night as we should with all the rest. I hope that I was able to help you as much as you needed it."
Giving a giggle to him, Cynder said this as a test, "Maybe another thousand years and I'll feel better."
"Hehe, how about a life time?" Spyro's words caused her to snuggle up to him more, and knowing now that he answered correctly, he whispered to her, "Good night, my love..."
"Good night... Spyro..." She murmured with one more tear.
