Note – The school Naomi studies in is a convent school owned by Catholics. For now, I call it Grace Catholic Convent School (GCCS). The four houses of the school are Unique (Red), Smart (Yellow), Pleasant (Green) and Bright (Blue).

Sports Event Part- 1

"Meow-meow," Naomi called to the cat in her backyard. Patting the cat's head as it purred, she smiled and said, "Where did Meow-Meow come from?"

"What are you doing?" She turned to the voice, it was Kai. She chuckled and said, "Playing with Meow-Meow." Kai bent to the cat and said, "Is that her name?"

"Yeah." Naomi stirred on the cat's belly as it kept purring. Kai started rubbing the cat's head softly. Naomi smiled at him and said, "You like cats too, huh?"

"Hmm." He still played with the cat.

"Eeeek!" came a voice from behind. They turned to look. It was Riri. She was standing on the backdoor, hiding her face from them. "What's that furry ball?!" she hissed.

"It's just a cat," Naomi said. Both of them knew Riri hated cats. Riri walked back and said, "Please keep it away from me."

"Sure," Naomi chuckled, "What are you here for?"

"Oh," Riri remembered her reason, "Get ready for school or else you will miss your match."

Naomi stood up and went inside. Riri looked at her going and then looked and Kai, "Leave that cat now and wear your tracksuit."

"Why?" he asked and still petted the cat.

"Because we are invited on the closing ceremony of the sports event," she hissed again.

"Okay." He got up and waved the cat goodbye. The cat got up and left. Riri put her hand on his shoulder as he was passing by and said, "Don't let others know that we are going to collect information about Frozen Dark. Chief does not want to ruin it up, ya know."

"Sure, darling," he said holding her from her waist and pulling her close to him. She poked his nose and said, "Oh you romantic dork! Let's not waste time."

Naomi waved at her sister and her teammates and went inside the main gate of the school. She was wearing a yellow jersey and white shorts and was holding a dark blue jacket in her left hand. A blue badminton kit bag of Yonex was hanging on her back. She headed inside the school building.

Riri led her teammates inside after that. She waved Mister Kenning who was waiting for them near the school building entrance. His daughter, Rosetta, was standing beside him looking at her beyblade Catastos in her hand. She was wearing an orange frock and her reddish-brown hair was tied into a ponytail leaving a strand of hair over her right eye. Riri looked at her beyblade and said, "That's quite a lot of damage." Rosetta didn't reply. She just smiled awkwardly. Riri looked at Mister Kenning and said, "So, Mister K, why had you called us here?"

Mister Kenning nodded to Rosetta. She smiled and walked away. "Yeah, Bladebreakers," He looked back at them and continued, "I believe you all are training for your final battle."

"Yes Sir, we are," Tyson answered with a challenging smirk. Mister Kenning blinked to his answer and said, "I heard your battle will be after a series of exhibition match but I think you won't play those matches."

"Why?" they all asked with a frown on their face.

"Oh," Mister Kenning blinked once again as if he was lost in thoughts, "that's because the members of the organisation suggested that the new changes we are taking should be judged in these matches and appropriately added to your battle."

"What new changes are you talking about?" asked Ray curiously.

"I'm afraid I can't tell you that now," he shrugged, "But I will tell you that you need more durable blades, maybe try new cores and attack rings. I know you have a genius for that in your team." He looked and Kenny and smiled. "And chief, you have a competition in this too."

"A competition?!" He flinched. He did not have any idea what was thrown at him. Mister Kenning looked down at his watch and said, "The little girl in Team Frozen Dark is just as intelligent as you are. She recently published a report on some space stuff."

"Oh, I read that," he replied cheerfully, "She is really good with that stuff."

Mister Kenning looked up from his watch and chuckled, "Oh, the reason why I called you here, right." He pulled out an envelope and gave it to Tyson, "There is a party tonight. All the teams for the exhibition match will be there. You are invited too, as the most important team of the tournament, you kids are supposed to be there." He then laughed a little and said, "Finally you kids can have fun without being surrounded by media. It is sure the nastiest thing," he looked back at his watch and said, "I better go now. I have to watch the 400-metre race. Rosetta's girlfriend is representing the Smart house."

Riri waved at Mister Kenning as he went away. She looked at her team and said, "So, should we go to watch Naomi's match?"

Tyson groaned and said, "Why are we going? I don't like badminton." Riri started walking and said without looking back, "There's a lot of tasty food."

"I'm coming!" he said delightfully.

They walked on the cemented road that was on the left side of the school building. It led them to the backside of the building where there was a badminton court. There were students behind and in front of them who were going to the badminton court too. The group of girls in front of them were loudly talking about the world champion behind them and which one of them has a crush on him. Tyson was flattered. Hilary was angry but she didn't say anything.

From the first floor balcony of the music room, Alice Gracia was leaning on the ledge, looking at the team. She was wearing the school uniform- white shirt, dark red pleated skirt that was an inch over her knees and a maroon jacket. Her belt was red in colour, showing that she belonged to Unique House. She looked inside the music room and said, "The Bladebreakers are here. I wonder why?"

The purple-lavender haired girl with two braids who was playing the grand piano inside said, "Does it matter?" Alice flicked her grey hair, which was tied into a high ponytail with a turquoise ribbon, and came inside. "Sianna, did you even understand what I mean?" She sat on a chair beside her and continued, "Riri is not the kind of person who would come back to a place where she holds a bad memory."

"You think so?" she said still tapping on the piano tiles softly.

"You don't?" Alice pulled her eyebrows together.

"I don't," she stopped playing. She was looking down as her expression became sad, "Riri had had a lot of terrible experiences in her past but she's trained to hide her feelings in front of normal folks. Shaira's death might seem like she is not bothered but deep down she holds herself guilty for not saving her, or maybe holds herself guilty in general."

"What do you mean?" Alice was confused. Sianna sighed and said, "Riri had once broken a promise, she couldn't save Shaira. She won't let that happen again. She's keeping her promise and spending time with Naomi. She doesn't want her worst nightmare to walk in between her and Naomi." She looked at the purple-messy haired guy leaning on the grand piano and continued, "You know what I mean, don't you, Reo?"

He had his eyes fixated on a Rubik's cube in his hand, as he was close to completing it. He was wearing a grey sleeveless vest-like shirt and dark blue pants and a faded purple colour jacket was tied on his waist. He also had red spectacles. He was Sianna's twin brother, Reo Yotsume. He arranged the cube in order of colour and replied to his sister with a moan, "Does that mean I can't watch my sister's match?"

"Sure looks like it," Alice rolled her eyes in annoyance. Reo sighed and said, "Oh, Son of a Bitch."

"Reo, Language!" Sianna warned him, "You may not like Riri but I still think of her as my friend so shut your damn mouth and don't try bothering her."

"Tch!"
