PART 2
Chapter 2x8: My People
"So let me get this right, your family is gonna pay the rent for the Parker's apartment?" - asked the landlord of Arash's building
"Yes" - stated Arash - "I talk to my uncle "Arash" and we are gonna let you have our apartment, we will leave everything on it and you can do anything you want with it" - he explained
"Rich people" - sighed the landlord trying to whisper rolling his eyes but the Prince catches what he said
"For your information, I was very close to the Parker's this is not about us taking advantage of people that disappear and I just…you know what, I don't need to explain myself to you, are you giving me the papers or not?" - asked Arash
"I'm sorry" - said the landlord more sympathetic clearing his throat as he saw the severe look on the boy's face - "just have them signed by your uncle and give them to me tomorrow at first hour" - he explained putting the papers on the desk with the key of the apartment on top and sliding them in front of the teen
"Thank you" - said Arash coldly as he took the things and walked out of the office
The teen took the elevator to take him to his floor, but he didn't go to his apartment he stopped in front of the Parker's apartment, he doubt a little at first but open the door with the key he got and walked inside.
Arash walked to the kitchen opening the fridge to see if there was food so he know that he needs to put all that in a bag and take it tomorrow to a homeless shelter for them to eat so he just doesn't throw the food in a garbage, he found a little container with some Mac N' Cheese, he remembered how good was those when May made them, so he took the container and put it in the microwave to heat up and eat them.
While he was heating the food, he walked to Peter's room he got inside and stood next to the brown haired boy closet, he move his hands to touch the clothes feeling the fabrics and remembering when Peter wore most of them stopping on the suit he used to Homecoming Dance, he wished he had seen the other boy on this one, then saw one of Peter's favorite and more used sweaters, he took it out of the hook and put it on feeling somehow more close to Peter with it.
The Prince walked to Peter's bed and sit on it, he always lay on the bed when they were doing homework while the other boy was either on his desk or the floor in front of him, just a couple times they shared the bed, mostly when they decided to watch YouTube videos on their phones or a movie on Arash's laptop, he move to lay on the bed and he could still smell Peter's scent on it, he didn't know when he started to do it but he was crying, the Persian boy curled up into a ball and let it all out.
Arash woke up and didn't realize that he fall asleep while crying, he stand up and walked to the kitchen, he had to heat up again the Mac N' Cheese to eat it, when he was done eating he took the papers the landlord gave to him and signed them, after he was done he move to the living room to watch TV, but everything was news about The Snap and he couldn't keep watching, so he just turn it off and go back to Peter's room.
The Persian boy didn't wanted to pry on Peter's things, but he had left some papers on his desk, so he looked around and find something that catches his eye "Arash Playlist", the brown haired boy had written down all the songs he wanted to put on his phone for the MoMA's trip, there were more songs that the ones he showed him, must be the ones that didn't make the cut, he smiled at the cheesiness of the songs he didn't choose, then the Prince turned the paper around to see if there were more songs on the back but no, it was a list of things to do:
1. Sit next to Arash on the bus.
2. Share one of my headphones with him and listen to the Playlist.
3. Not leave his side during the tour in MoMA.
4. Play with him on the videogame part of the exhibition, hoping he actually wins as he stated, if not, let him win anyway.
5. Go to the gift shop at the end of tour and offer to buy something he likes with the money of the action figures I sold.
6. Take him to the roof of the building when we come back and tell him how I feel about him under the night sky.
Arash looked at the list in shock, after studying those "little things" Pepper told him about he was more sure that Peter had feelings but him, but this confirmed and that day when he The Snap happened it was the day that Peter was gonna tell everything to the Prince, he grabbed the paper and hold it close to his body and just like a moment ago he was back to crying, he stand up from the desk to walk into the bed and lay there to go back to sleep curled up into a ball still holding the paper to his chest like if he was holding Peter close to him.
"Hi Eddie" - greeted Arash on the door of the boy's house
"Hey Caz, come in" - greeted Eddie - "let's go to my room, we can talk more private in there" - he said walking the boy to his room
"How are you holding up?" - asked Arash
"Good, I mean some family members disappear, thankfully my parents didn't but we are mourning a little still, mostly about Nana, what about you?" - asked Eddie
"Well…it's been…rough, not only family but MJ, Ned…Peter" - said Arash
"Yeah I know…so you are going back to Persia, right?" - asked Eddie
"Yeah…look Eddie…" - trailed Arash - "you know I really like you but…I don't think we can keep doing this because-" - he started to explain
"You are Arash Mohammadi the Prince of Persia" - said Eddie
"What?" - asked Arash surprised
"You are the Prince of Persia" - repeated Eddie calmly - "look, you can change your hair and eye color, but it still looks like you, I mean you could at least add a pair of glasses or something even that doesn't work because you will still look like you, using glasses will not hide it that well either" - he explained
"How…how long?" - asked Arash
"Our first date" - stated Eddie - "I mean you create cool histories, but too alike your own life and also the card you took out kinda gave it away as well" - he said - "and before you freak out, no, I will not tell anybody" - he added with a smile
"Oh…well…that wasn't what I was going to say actually" - said Arash
"You were gonna tell me you are Vizier?" - asked Eddie
"Okay, what the actual fuck?" - asked Arash freaking out a little sitting on Eddie's bed
"Hey, it's ok, like I told you I will not tell anybody" - said Eddie kneeling in front of the Prince looking at his face - "even though I must say, your secret is better kept than Peter being Spiderman, you are more quiet and mysterious, Peter kinda give it all away a little too easily with the "Star Internship" talk" - he said casually
"You are gonna be a hella good journalist" - said Arash with a hand on his forehead trying to process all the information
"If I was hella good, I would have find out sooner that you like Peter" - said Eddie
"Am I gonna get to actually reveal anything to you today?" - Asked Arash groaning before falling backwards on the bed making the blonde boy laugh a little - "how did you even find that one out?" - He asked as well
"I had the feeling when you overreacted during Liz's Party, but I didn't realize until we got back together and spend more time with the group, also in case you want to know…he likes you back, I see the way he looks at you all the time, that's what gave it away because you give him the same look, I would feel jealous but I'm actually cool about it, I dated a Prince after all" - teased Eddie
"You are such a school paper boy" - laughed Arash and the other boy did as well
"Are you gonna keep in touch this time that I know your secrets and we are just friends?" - asked Eddie
"Sure Eddie" - said Arash with a smile sitting up
"By the way…I'm sorry about everything, must be harder for you because you fight trying to not let this happen and I'm sorry about Peter as well" - said Eddie
"Yeah, I'm sorry we lost as well" - said Arash
Eddie opened his arms for Arash and the Prince took the cue to hold the blond boy, at least he still has one of friends with him through this mess.
"Thank you for coming with me, you know you didn't have to" - said Arash
"You are in pain, I can't leave you like that" - said Thor
"I know, but what about your people, the rest of Asgard that escaped with Valkyrie?" - asked Arash as he took a sit on the private jet
"I disappointed them…" - said Thor before sitting down next to the Prince - "you are my people now" - he added with an arm around the boy
"Thanks Thor" - said Arash before cuddling up the God of Thunder embrace - "you know…you didn't disappoint anybody" - he added
"Arash…" - started to say Thor
"I'm serious, you didn't" - said Arash - "even after all that happened with Thanos and The Snap…you can't take for granted even if you just saved one person it matters, you save them and I think we should visit them sometime when you feel more comfortable, just so they know they still have their King to protect them" - he explained
"They don't need my protection" - said Thor
"You know there are still bad people around, so they always need protection, which is why I'm going back, I'm going to protect my people" - said Arash
"Then that is why I'm going with you, you are my people, so I'm gonna protect you" - stated Thor before grabbing the Prince's hand
A/N: This couple of chapters are gonna be a little bit rough but we all gonna go through it together so be patient, after all a world with Peter doens't seem too nice.
