"I don't believe you Kopa," - Nala

Chapter 32: Heated Argument and Reunion

Kopa saw Aisha and Kali standing there. "Girls what the hell are you doing here?!" Kopa growled.

"We should be asking you the same thing," Kali said. "What are you doing here?"

"That's none of your business," Kopa snapped.

"Oh, it most certainly is our business Kopa," Kali snapped, glaring at her brother. "We are your sisters Kopa."

"And?" Kopa said coldly. "Is that a concern of mine?"

"It should," Kali snapped. "It should be a concern of yours."

"Oh, you wanna freakin' challenge me now?" Kopa snarled, glaring at his sisters and advancing on them.

"Oh, we will freakin' challenge you then Kopa," Kali growled as she and Aisha were taking a step back from their brother.

"Kopa that is enough," Chaka said firmly, going in front of him.

"What the hell do you mean "that's enough?"," Kopa growled. "They want to challenge me."

"Kopa," Chaka began. "They are your sisters. Their much smaller than you and they can get hurt pretty easily."

"Gotta listen to your friend Kopa," Aisha said. Kopa glared at his sister but said nothing.

"Now Kopa," Chaka said. "Let's try that again. Kali asked you a simple question. What are you doing here?"

"Oh isn't it that simple," Kopa muttered, rolling his sea-green eyes in annoyance. Chaka smacked his brother for his sarcastic words. "Ok ok sheesh," Kopa said with annoyance, rubbing his shoulder. "I will say it. The reason I am here is that I came here to see my friend."

"Doesn't seem like a friend to me," Kali said. "Seems more than that."

"Yeah," Aisha chimed in. "The way you two are speaking with each other. It sounds like you two are brothers." Chaka and Kopa's eyes went wide when they heard their sisters say that.

"You two must be mistaken," Chaka said to his half-sisters. "Me and Kopa are not blood-related. We are just friends. That's all."

"Yeah sure," Kali scoffed rolling her amber eyes.

"Kali," Kopa said trying not to shout. "We are not blood-related! We are just friends! That's all!"

"Well both seem to be more than friends to me," Kali shouted.

"Well, you were assumed wrong!" Kopa roared. "We are not related for crying out loud! I swear to god if I hear you say it again I will..." But before Kopa could even finish he heard a voice shout, "What the hell is going on here?!" The group spun and saw Damu standing there.

"Me and my sisters were just having a little heated argument here," Kopa, looking at his sisters and glaring at them.

"Why do you have to do it here?" Damu asked in annoyance. "Do that in the Pride Lands."

"Well I'm sorry that I'm doing it here," Kopa snapped. "But my sisters were the ones that came here. I came here because Chaka wanted me to come here."

"Well you're being too loud," Damu said. "Like waaaay to loud."

"I'm being loud?" Kopa asked in disbelief. "Do you not hear my sisters being loud too?! Like are you..." But before Kopa could even finish his sentence he heard a voice say, "Kopa what's going on here?" Kopa gasped and spun around to see Nala standing there.

"Mom what are you doing here?!" Kopa gasped his eyes wide.

"I can hear you shouting from a mile away," Nala explained. "I was going on a walk until I heard you. So I had to come here to see what was going on."

"Oh and you may wanna talk some sense into your son," Chaka said, earning him a glare from his brother. "He's talking crazy."

"Crazy?" Kopa declared out loud and in disbelief. "Crazy?! You think I'm crazy right now?!"

"Well I mean you are acting crazy," Kali said rolling her eyes. Aisha just said nothing

"Even your sister agrees with me Kopa," Chaka said.

"Oh that's very easy for you to say Chaka," Kopa growled, glaring at his brother. Nala's eyes went wide when she heard her son say this, as well as Damu's. Nala's heartbeat started to pick up as nervousness and anxiousness started to build up inside her. "I actually can't believe that your siding with my sisters." Kopa then gasped realizing what he had just said. The shocked faces of his sisters, step-brother, his half-brother, and his mother say it all.

"Well thanks a lot, Kopa," Chaka snarled, glaring at his brother. "You sure have a big mouth! I specifically told you not to say my name in front of them!" Chaka was referring to his half-sisters, half-brother, and his mother. "And because of you I am so doomed!"

"Well I'm sorry I said it out loud," Kopa snapped, getting in his brother's face. "It's just that I'm getting mad because of how this argument is going too far."

"Well, you should have damn been careful what you say!" Chaka roared furiously.

"Once again I am sorry that I said it out loud," Kopa shouted furiously. As Nala was hearing her sons having an argument, a flashback went through her mind

Flashback - the last time Nala saw Chaka (when he and Kopa were a month old)

"You have two minutes to be with Chaka, Nala," Scar said. "And when the two minutes is over you will no longer have access to him." Nala growled under her breath but said nothing.

"Now spend your final two minutes with Chaka," Scar said roughly. With that Scar exited the cave, leaving a heartbroken Nala behind.

"Momma?" came Chaka's small voice.

"Oh Chaka," Nala choked the tears rolling down her face as she pulled Chaka close. "This is my last two minutes being with you. I wish I could be there for you but your father will not let me." Nala paused as the tears rolled down her face. "I love you so much Chaka," she continued. "I love both you and your brother. I will always love you. You will still have access to your brother. So you will be able to interact with him. I wish I could interact with you. But if I do your father would have me dead. But just know that I love you and your brother and I wish I could be there for you." Nala embraced Chaka, not wanting to let go as she continuously licked him, more tears rolling down her face. After two minutes, Scar came back inside the cave.

"You're two minutes is up Nala," Scar said. "Now hand Chaka to me." With that, Nala gave Chaka to Scar. Scar picked up Chaka by the scruff of his neck and carried him out of the cave, leaving Nala devastated as she collapsed to the ground crying. Just then she heard a small voice say, "Momma?" Nala lifted her paw and saw Kopa standing there with a concerned look on his face.

"Oh, Kopa," Nala sobbed pulling her son close to her. "Your brother has been taken away from me. But you will be able to interact with your brother. He still lives here but I can't go near him. I wish I could. When you see your brother tell him that I love him and always will. At least I still have you. I will protect you with all my heart, even if it means me dying. I wish I could do the same with your brother. I will give you the love you deserve. I just wish I would have your brother here too so I can give him the love he deserves too. I love you, Kopa." Nala was still holding onto Kopa, not wanting to let go of him. Then after a couple of minutes, she went to sleep, but knew it would be hard because of her thinking of Chaka.

End of Flashback

"Kopa," Chaka said slowly, his voice rising with anger, snapping Nala back to reality. "There was no need to say my name in front of them. Like there was no need to say my name."

"Like I said Chaka," Kopa growled. "I said that I was sorry."

"Well sorry doesn't cut it," Chaka snapped. "If you hadn't said my name then none of this..."

"Chaka?" Nala said softly as her eyes started to fill up tears, causing both Kopa and Chaka to look at their mother.

"Oh great," Kopa thought to himself. "I really messed up."

"Is it r-r-really you?" Nala choked, tears rolling down her face. Chaka looked at his mother for a brief second. She looked familiar to him. Then suddenly a flashback went through his mind. When the flashback ended, he then suddenly realized why she looks so familiar. The last time Chaka was with his mother was when he was only a month old before being taken away by Scar. That was one thing he remembered when he was only a month old.

"Yes," Chaka said softly. "It's me." Without hesitation, Nala then ran over to her son and embraced him, not wanting to let go as the tears rolled down her face. She then looked at Damu and whispered, "Thank you." Damu smiled at Nala. Chaka then looked at his brother with tears in his eyes.

"Funny that we were in a heated argument just moments ago," Kopa said with a smirk.

"Heh," Chaka said with a slight laugh as his mother was still embracing him.

"Well you said you wanted to talk to me about something today," Kopa said. "What do you want to talk about?"

"I want to talk about going back to the Pride Lands," Chaka said.

"Oh?" Kopa said, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah," Chaka said. "I've been doing some thinking."

"What are you going to do?" Kopa asked. "You want to come back home?"

"Well Kopa," Chaka said. "I am..."
