- Two days later, Saturday -
- 12:32 P.M., Arendelle Castle -
Standing on one of the many balconies looking out to the town, Anna attempted a smile at the beautiful sight, but the best she could manage was what appeared to be more of a smirk. The shocking news of what Ahyoka's mother, Silvia, told her and Elsa had seemed to finally hit her after a day. She tried to stay strong for Elsa; it actually distracted her some from the reality to focus on Elsa, however that no longer worked; but if both of them broke down...
'Anna?' came a familiar voice from behind.
Anna quickly stood up straight and took a deep breath, before she turned to face Elly behind her with a smile.
"Hey Elly."
Elly however, looked at Anna with clear concern and walked out to the balcony with her and closed the door.
"You're not doing well, are you?"
Anna simply chuckled before turning around and leaned against the railing.
"You and Elsa can see right through me."
Elly then joined Anna to her right with a little smile.
"It's not hard to do; you're always so cheerful and bubbly... Wanna talk about it?"
"I don't wanna bother you with this a day before your last day here." replied Anna.
"Nonsense, Your Highness." stated Elly with a smile. "Until my day is over tomorrow, I'm still your Handmaid and it's my duty to assist you. We'll always be friends; I'm willing to listen. So..." added Elly, placing her left hand to Anna's right shoulder. "How are you doing?"
Looking to Elly, Anna smiled at her willingness to help, before she looked out to Arendelle again.
"After what Silvia told us and seeing how it affected Elsa, I'm trying to be strong for her; calming her down when she gets stressed out, but now, it's like what Silvia said is finally sinking in for me. Our parents were attacked, it wasn't just some unfortunate accident. It's like a wound has re-opened... I'm not sure I could put on a brave face if Elsa starts stressing out again, we could both end up breaking down and what if it happens when Elsa has a meeting?"
"Hmm, maybe you two should." commented Elly.
"Huh?" questioned Anna, looking to Elly.
"Well not when you have things to attend to." replied Elly. "Sometimes you just need a good, long cry; get all the stress and emotion out. I don't know if it's something that would work for you two, but it's worth a shot, right?"
"Maybe you're right. Instead of trying to hold it back, let it come."
"Yeah, you two go to a private place where you won't be bothered and just let it all out." replied Elly, followed by Anna simply 'hmm'ing' as she looked out to the town again, before Elly added. "How's Her Majesty doing? She seems fine to me, from the brief moments I've seen her, though she looks like she's constantly worried."
"It's only been two days, so it's nothing drastic yet, but she has seemed particularly distracted since yesterday; lost in thought and easily surprised. Last night before bed, she was at her desk looking over some documents and she wouldn't respond when I called to her, she was like a statue... and only reacted when I touched her shoulder."
- 3:23 P.M., Portrait Room -
The Queen of Arendelle stood in front of a large painting of her parents; King Agnarr and Queen Iduna. A small smile graced Elsa's face, the past two days had been ones of stressful anticipation, waiting for news concerning her parents fate. After three years of nothing, they had a surprising lead from an unexpected source, renewing the feeling of loss.
Elsa knew she was wasn't alone though, she no longer locked herself away. It was clear Anna was trying to be strong for her when she faltered, her mind racing with 'what if's' and 'why's', often lost in thought, unaware of her surroundings, the moments were getting worse, her magic made it clear to Anna when she needed to be comforted.
She was alone now though, Elsa had absentmindedly walked into the Portrait Room and her gaze turned to a group painting of her parents, along with herself and Anna. She remembered that day, Anna refused to stay still. Elsa just stared at the captured moment in time, as if trying to will herself into it's world to embrace her parents again.
This was the scene Gerda walked in on, the Queen standing stone still looking at her parents painting as if entranced.
"Your Majesty, there is a visitor at the front doors requesting you and the Princess."
Gerda was soon puzzled when Elsa didn't respond or even acknowledge her presence.
"Your Majesty?" called Gerda.
Again, nothing; the woman entered the room and advanced towards Elsa.
"Are you alright, Your Majesty?" asked Gerda.
The servant was soon within feet of the Queen and to her surprise, saw tears trailing down her face and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder and addressed her.
However, the touch prompted a gasp from them both as Elsa flinched sharply and ice suddenly spread along the floor and around Elsa's feet while Gerda gasped and in her hurry to back away, fell to her rear.
"Oh! I'm so sorry!" gasped Elsa, starting to walk to to the woman, but quickly found her feet and cape stuck to the floor.
"It's alright, Your Majesty." replied Gerda, getting to her feet. "I did not mean to startle you." she added, before she saw Elsa, with some effort, pull her feet free then dissipate the ice.
"Still, I apologize." replied Elsa. "I shouldn't let myself get so lost in thought. Does something need my attention?"
"Yes, a strange woman has arrived at the castle doors requesting you and the Princess; She calls herself Silvia."
"S-Silvia!?" gasped Elsa in shock. "She's here in person!?"
"You know her, your Majesty?" asked Gerda.
"Y-Yeah, I met her briefly a couple days ago." replied Elsa. "Find Anna and tell her to meet me at the front door." she added, before walking past Gerda and out of the room.
Elsa felt her heart thumping hard in her chest at the news of Silvia arriving in person as she made her way to the Castles front doors.
'It's only been two days!' thought Elsa with a mix of excitement and panic. 'Why is she here in person!? What could she have found out that she needed to come here in person!? Maybe it's bad news...'
Arriving at the castle doors, just outside, Silvia waited and Elsa felt her heart threatening to burst out of her chest, a single piece of wood separated her from answers, good or bad about her parents.
Elsa didn't need to stare at the door like it was the biggest obstacle in her life for long before Anna's voice was heard...
"Hey!" called Anna, and Elsa looked back to see Anna hurrying down the large stairs towards her. "Silvia really came here in person!?"
"Yes!" quickly replied Elsa. "I'm just as shocked as you are!"
"It's only been two days!" gasped Anna.
"I know! The information must've been easy to get."
"Why come here in person though!?"
"I don't know!" replied Elsa, clearly panicked and starting to pace back and forth and crossing her arms over her chest. "Ohhh, this is stressing me out! I don't know if I can do this!"
Anna then placed her hands to Elsa's shoulders, stopping her pacing as she herself takes a few deep breaths.
"Ok, ok, just breath..."
Elsa felt Anna's hands on her trembling and meet Anna's gaze to see she looked to be on the verge of crying, before Elsa began to match Anna's breathing, and Anna added...
"This is what we wanted! Whether through a portal or in person, we asked for this."
"Y-Yeah... right." replied Elsa.
"Out these doors is the answers to what happened to Mom and Dad. We can't run away from this."
After a few more deep breathes, Elsa felt her heart calm.
"Ok... ok... you're right. I wanted answers and we're about to get them, for better or worse. I'm not going to run... I'm ready."
Anna smiles with a sigh, before she pulled her hands back and wiping her eyes, before she pulled Elsa's arms from around her and took Elsa's hands in her's.
"So am I; Let's do this."
Following another deep breath from each sister, they walked to the door and Elsa opened it.
The sister's first sight of Silvia was her back, looking out to the town; the auburn-haired woman was dressed rather oddly and provocatively, looking to be wearing what appeared to be a backless, high-cut white leotard, revealing a very large pair of wing-shaped tattoos covering nearly the entirety of her exposed back, as well as much of her hips with a pair of low cut black pants that fit to her like a second skin; the woman's figure was on clear, purposeful display, before she turned around and greeted them with a big, cheerful smile.
"Oh, hello!"
Both sisters eyes were immediately drawn to Silvia's well-endowed chest; they were much bigger than they appeared the first time they saw the woman and Silvia's quick turn caused them to sway quite noticeably, it had to be magic that the mounds didn't escape out the sides of her top.
While stunned, Silvia continued her greeting with a slight bow, fortunately, Silvia chose to forgo exposed cleavage...
"Your Majesty, Your Highness; I hope I didn't come at a bad time. A few of your lovely citizens said I could just walk up to the castle and knock."
"N-No, it's not a bad time." replied Elsa, pulling her gaze from Silvia's chest.
"Great!" declared Silvia delightfully and with a cheerful smile. "Arendelle is quite lovely by the way. Beautiful landscape and a stunning view of the ocean. You must have wonderful seafood!"
"Thank you." replied Elsa with a smile, before Anna quickly asked...
"Why are you here in person? We assumed you'd contact us through a portal like before."
Silvia smiled and replied...
"That was my intention, but what I found out greatly intrigued me and since I was in the area, decided to come in person."
Elsa and Anna both looked surprised at Silvia's comment and Anna asked...
"In the area?"
Followed by Elsa...
"Greatly intrigued?"
"Yes." replied Silvia. "Can we go someplace more private to continue this discussion?"
"Of course!" quickly replied Elsa and stepping aside. "Come in, we can continue this in the Council Chambers."
- Council Chambers -
Following Anna closing the door behind them, Silvia walked a few steps ahead of Elsa, briefly taking in the sight of the room, before she turned to face her and Elsa felt a little odd as she noticed Silvia eyeing her with a grin and a hand one her hip.
"Before I begin..." started Silvia. "Is there anything you two have not told me?"
Elsa and Anna looked puzzled by the question, but there was a clear sense that Silvia knew something and wanted confirmation, though Elsa answered...
"No, at least not in regards to our parents."
Silvia smiled and hummed...
"Your Majesty, your dress is quite intriguing; I noticed it when we met face-to-face moments ago. What fabric is that?"
Elsa was quite clearly hesitant to answer, feeling her heart race a little.
"It's an exotic fabric." answered Elsa. "Very rare."
"Exotic huh?" Replied Silvia with a grin. "Doesn't look like any fabric I'm aware of. It looks like ice..." she added as she walked up to Elsa, who took a reactive step back, though Silvia matched it and placed her left hand to Elsa's right shoulder and caressed the sleeve of her dress. "Feels like ice, yet you appear perfectly fine." Silvia's piercing red eyes then met Elsa's with a smirk, "You're a poor liar, Your Majesty."
While Elsa looked a little uncomfortable, Anna quickly grabbed Silvia's wrist and pulled her hand from Elsa as she stepped between them.
"Back off!" demanded Anna.
Silvia smiled and pulled her hand free, before she lifted her hands in a surrender position and takes a couples steps back.
"Ok, ok, I'm not here to fight, I'm not an enemy. Just a benevolent messenger."
Anna frowns at Silvia briefly, before Elsa placed her left hand to Anna's right shoulder, prompting her to look back at Elsa's nervous expression before Elsa stated...
"I have magic."
Elsa then lifted her right hand and created a snowflake, which prompted a smirk from Silvia.
"Figured as much... and you Your Highness, what can you do?"
"Fire." Answered Anna simply.
"Hmm..." hummed Silvia with a smile and lifting a hand to her chin. "Children with magic... This is starting to make some sense."
"What happened to our parents!?" quickly and eagerly asked Elsa. "Please tell us."
Silvia's cheerful smile and mood then shifted to a more serious expression.
"Ok, ok..." replied Silvia, while Elsa lowered her hand from Anna's shoulder to take hold of her hand, who tightly gripped Elsa's hand in return, before Silvia continued... "Following our talk a couple days ago, I contacted my friend. While she unfortunately didn't recall the story, her friend; who was on your parents ship, was still alive. So I went to them and-"
"Wait!" gasped Anna, with a wary smile. "If your friend's friend survived, maybe our parents did!"
Silvia looked as though she wanted to respond to Anna's thought of hope, briefly averted her gaze, before she continued...
"The survivor told me the ship did indeed come under attack. There was a severe storm that came from no where and the ocean itself seemed to be alive, battering the ship like it had a mind of it's own. Something hit the ship with enough force to nearly split it in two."
As she talked, Silvia saw the sisters getting increasingly distressed by the recounting, Silvia then saw a flurry of snow begin to descend around them and lifted her right hand to catch a few flurries.
"Huh... emotion influenced magic." commented Silvia.
"Please continue." requested Elsa.
"Ok, the survivor tried getting to your parents, since she could send a signal to her friend to come get her and your parents, but there was so much water blocking her access to them; she figured it had to be some intelligence behind it. Even after the ship went under, she tried looking for them, but they seemed to disappear in the water. The survivor was the last one to see your parents alive, I'm sorry."
Elsa then collapsed to the floor as a small wail of grief left her and the tears flow from her eyes, while Anna joined her on the floor and hugged her sister as tears fell from her eyes.
Silvia frowned and gave the sisters some privacy as she turned her back to them and muttered to herself...
"This never gets easy. Even with adults."
After a few minutes of grief with the apparent confirmation that their parents were gone, Elsa calmed down to sniffles. Anna, looked to Silvia, whose back was to her and noticed her wiping her face with a hand. Anna found the act rather curious; was Silvia, possibly an ancient Succubus, crying and sympathetic for them? However, Anna commented...
"So our parents WERE murdered; First our grandfather, now our parents, What's going on!? Does the survivor know who did it?"
Silvia turns to face Anna.
"No, she did not know who or what attacked them."
Elsa then returned to her feet, joined by Anna, and wiped the tears from her face, before she asked...
"Where did their ship go down?"
Silvia grinned at the question...
"Now THAT is the intriguing detail. The survivor told me they were traveling north into the Dark Sea."
"W-What!?" gasped Elsa and Anna.
"The Dark Sea?" questioned Anna.
"What were they doing in the Dark Sea!?" asked Elsa. "There's stories of ships going missing there. Even as kids we heard stories of ships prolonging trips just to avoid going into the Dark Sea!"
"There is one possibility." commented Silvia.
"What is it!?" eagerly asked Elsa and Anna in unison.
"Do either of you know what an Ancient is?" asked Silvia.
"I do." answered Anna. "Izzy-Isabelle told me about them; They're really old and powerful people, like Edith, and... you?"
"That's right." replied Silvia. "But there is a little more to it; 'Ancient' is more of a flashy title now-a-days than anything special. A Queen or Princess like yourselves can have more influence than a five-hundred year old Ancient who has no ambition. Like Yoka, while not an Ancient, she's over a century old, yet she's just a common citizen of your kingdom and bound to your laws, she has no desire to make a name for herself. 'Ancient' just means 'old' and not necessarily smart and it is not restricted to people; flesh and blood like you or I. It can apply to other entities as well, such as spirits."
"Wow." commented Anna, before Silvia continued...
"But there are entities in this world worthy of the title. There's rumor of an Ancient Spirit that resides in the Dark Sea; Said to be one of the firsts, possibly as old as the Earth itself. Which would make it incredibly powerful, but it must chose to reveal itself to those who seek it." explained Silvia with a smile at the look of amazement on the sisters faces, before Elsa asked...
"And you think our parents were headed to this particular Ancient?"
"Yes." answered Silvia. "But I don't know why."
"Does it have a name?" asked Anna.
"It's called Ahtohallan." answered Silvia.
The name prompted a gasp from both sisters as they staggered back and questioned at the same time...
"Ahtohallan!?"
"You know of it?" asked Silvia curiously.
"O-Our mother..." stated Elsa. "She once sang us a lullaby about Ahtohallan."
"Yeah..." added Anna. "It was after our father told us the story about the Enchanted Forest, where our Grandfather, King Runeard was killed by the people that live there, the Northuldra."
Silvia clearly looked intrigued, lifting a hand up to her chin and lowering her gaze in thought.
"Interesting... Enchanted Forests and Lullaby's..." commented Silvia, before she lifted her gaze to the sisters, "Do you happen to recall the lullaby?"
"Part of it..." replied Elsa, before she closed her eyes and began to recite the song, "~Where the north wind meets the sea, there's a river full of memory, sleep, my darling, safe and sound, for in this river all is found. In her waters, deep and true, lay the answers and a path for you, dive down deep into her sound, but not too far or you'll be drowned~"
Following the lullaby, Elsa and Anna saw open-mouthed shock on Silvia's face.
"Incredible..." commented Silvia. "Where the north wind meets the sea, There's a river full of memory... This just got veeeery interesting! Vague direction, description and even a warning. Where did your Mother learn this lullaby?"
"From her mother." answered Elsa.
"How much do you two know of your mothers side of the family?" asked Silvia.
"Uh..." replied Elsa and Anna as she shared a curious glance to each other and Anna replied...
"She never really mentioned anything about her family."
"Yeah..." added Elsa. "Now that you mention it, we've never met any relatives from our mothers side of the family."
Anna then further pointed out...
"There's no paintings of Mother when she was younger like there are of Father. We have no idea what she looked like when she was our age."
"Intriguing..." commented Silvia. "Your Mother knew of Ahtohallan through a lullaby; which has rather curious details for a human to know and journeyed into the Dark Sea where Ahtohallan is rumored to be when her ship met it's end. Quite the mystery..."
Elsa and Anna are visibly disturbed by the revelation of a strange mystery surrounding their mother.
"What's going on?" asked Elsa rhetorically. "Who was Mother? Why does she know an Ancient?"
Silvia though comments, "You mentioned a story about an Enchanted Forest."
"Yeah." replied Anna. "Our Father told us; The Northuldra people live there, who live with magical spirits, but weren't magical like Elsa is. They were supposed to be allies; Grandfather even had a dam built as a gift of peace. A battle started between the Northuldra and Arendelle. Our grandfather was killed, leaving Father without either of his parents when he was still young. Ever since then, the people of Arendelle don't like the Northuldra."
"There's not much talk of the Northuldra though." stated Elsa. "It's been thirty years since then and we don't know what happened to start the fight in the first place. So... I guess we do have an enemy, but the Northuldra couldn't attack and sink an Arendellian ship in the middle of the Dark Sea, could they?"
"I don't know." replied Silvia. "I don't like to assume things without sufficient evidence. However, this story wouldn't happen to include a detail about a mysterious mist covering the forest, would it?"
Elsa and Anna both gasp in shock and Elsa asked...
"How do you know that!?"
"I flew by there before I decided to come here." answered Silvia.
"Really!?" gasped Elsa and Anna.
"Yep, I intended to look for your parents ship on it's shores, but to my surprise, the entire forest is covered in an impenetrable mist."
"S-So..." started Anna, warily looking to Elsa and taking her hand. "You think our parents ship washed up on the shores of the Enchanted Forest?"
"It's the only land for miles; so yes, if your parents ship washed up anywhere, and it's not at the bottom of the Dark Sea, it's there; but I was unable to get past the mist to confirm it."
Elsa lifts her free trembling hand up over her face, which prompted Anna to lift her free hand to caress Elsa's left shoulder.
"What if their bodies are still on the ship..." cried Elsa. "We have to bring them home if they are."
"Good luck with that." replied Silvia, followed by casual flick of her left hand to her side and opened a portal much like Ahyoka's, though the view inside revealed the sky and a large white dome of mist. Despite the lack of references, it was clear the portal was in the air. "If I can't get through, I doubt you two could."
While Elsa and Anna are wowed at Silvia's nonchalant creation of the portal and the mysterious sight within it, Elsa looked puzzled. As she starred at the mist.
"Do you hear that?"
"Huh?" questioned Anna, before she and Silvia shared a curious glance, before Elsa took a couple steps towards the portal.
"I think I hear something..." stated Elsa.
"I don't hear anything." stated Silvia.
"Me neither." added Anna. "What does it sound like?"
"I don't know, it's faint..." replied Elsa, walking right up within a foot of the portal. "It kinda sounds like... a voice?"
Anna and Silvia share another curious look and Silvia asked...
"What is it saying?"
"I'm not..." started Elsa, before she tilted her head to one side. "Ah, ah, ah, ah?"
"Ah, ah, ah, ah?" questioned Anna.
"No, wait..." stated Elsa. "It's a tone, like singing... ~AH~AHHH~AH~AHHHHH~"
Shortly after however, Elsa gasps from a sudden throbbing in her head, dropping her to the floor, grabbing her head as a series of strange images rapidly flashed through her head.
"Elsa!" gasped Anna as she dropped down to with Elsa. "What's wrong!?"
The images were too quick to make sense out of and the throbbing of her head wasn't making it any easier.
"I-I-I don't-nngh!" groaned Elsa.
However, while greatly concerned for her sister, Anna soon hears Silvia comment..."
"Well, that's very interesting."
"Interesting!?" gasped Anna angrily, before she stood and grabbed Silvia by her collar and lifted her other hand holding a fireball, "What did you do to her!?" demanded Anna.
Elsa meanwhile, the context-less rapid-fire images stop for a strange scene of her in what appeared to be a burgundy nightgown, which she did not own or recognize, carefully closing a door, before commenting in a whisper to some unknown person with an annoyed look on her face...
"I hear you, but I won't. Some look for trouble-"
The strange vision came to an abrupt end, along with the images, allowing Elsa a moment to collect herself.
Silvia however, is calm in the face of Anna's anger and closes the portal.
"I did nothing, intentionally." replied Silvia. "I'm just as surprised and curious as you are. Now, I will overlook this threat since you're young and this whole discussion has been emotional for you and I want to stay on good terms with you, so I will only say this once..."
Anna soon felt an oppressive dread over come her as Silvia's red eyes stared coldly into her own.
"Remove your hand and extinguish the fire, or your sister will see herself become an only child."
Anna soon dispersed her flames and released her grip on Silvia and took and few steps back with fear clear on her face.
"Good." replied Silvia with a smile. "I don't take well to being threatened, remember that. I'm not here to fight."
Elsa then groans as she attempts to stand and Anna quickly helps her to her feet.
"You ok!?" asked Anna.
"Y-Yeah, I think so." replied Elsa, briefly shaking her head. "I saw a bunch of images in my head of things I couldn't recognize. I think we were in a forest together, Olaf and Kristoff were with us, but I'm not sure and a strange vision of some kind where I'm walking out of my room talking to someone or something I couldn't see."
"Really?" asked Anna.
"Yeah, but the weirdest thing is, it felt like I was being called."
"Called? By who?" asked Anna, before Silvia commented...
"My guess is Ahtohallan."
"Really?" asked Elsa.
"Yes, given the mystery around your mother; you hearing a voice when I opened a portal to the Enchanted Forest, you two may actually have some connection with Ahtohallan and if Ahtohallan is calling you, maybe you could get past the mist, or be allowed through."
Elsa and Anna share a wary look, before Anna comments...
"We could recover Mother and Father's bodies... or what's left of them."
"We don't even know where the Enchanted Forest is." pointed out Elsa, before Silvia lifted her right hand.
"You-who... I've been there; I just created a portal there, I can do it again and we'll be there in the blink of an eye."
"We?" questioned Anna, which prompted a smile from Silvia.
"I'll join you two of course. I'm up for a little adventure; Besides, I'm very curious myself about what we'll find and I could act as a sort of personal guard for you two if the Northuldra turn out to be hostile." stated Silvia before she lifted her right hand and a purplish-black, fire-like orb hovered above her hand. "I'm a quite powerful ally to have at your side and it's within my interest that you two don't die."
While Elsa and Anna showed interest in Silvia's small display, Anna asked...
"Is that some sort of fire magic?"
"No, it's dark magic." answered Silvia, dispersing her magic and lowering her hand. "It's not elemental magic like you two have."
"Is it dangerous?" asked Anna.
"All magic is dangerous." answered Silvia. "But it's how you use it."
"Were you born with it?" asked Anna.
"I have an affinity for dark magic; but no, I was not born shooting it from my hands. Although, as a Succubus, I have natural magic inherent with what I am, but I had to learn to use dark magic."
"So magic is learn-able!?" asked Anna wide-eyed.
"Sure is." replied Silvia.
"So I could learn to make portals like you can!?" asked Anna excitedly.
"Maybe, you clearly have a natural talent for magic, both of you do. Though portal magic is dark magic."
Anna was clearly excited, before Elsa commented...
"Anna..."
"Oh, right. Not the time." replied Anna, before Elsa looked to Silvia and commented...
"I appreciate the offer to help, but I can't just leave Arendelle without warning. At the very least, I'll need a few days to clear my schedule to make a trip like that."
"Understandable." replied Silvia. "I can visit Yoka while I'm here and she can show me around your lovely town until your ready to make the trip in a couple days."
"Thank you for understanding." replied Elsa.
"Oh please..." stated Silvia with a dismissive wave of her left hand. "I'm in no rush and the forest isn't going anywhere, take as much time as you need. Oh! Is Izzy on duty today? I'd love to meet her, I haven't seen her since she was Yoka's twin's ages."
"Yes, she's working today." replied Elsa. "I'll send word for her to come meet you."
"Thanks. Oh and leave out my name, I want to see the look on her face when she sees me." requested Silvia with a delighted smile, which prompted a smile to Elsa and Anna's faces.
"Ok." replied Elsa, before Anna added...
"Thank you for what you've done."
"I should be thanking YOU two." replied Silvia. "I thought this was going to just be a simple 'Search and Retrieve', but it's turning out to be quite the mystery and has me very curious and I'd very much like to meet Ahtohallan."
"We can all agree on the mystery here." stated Anna. "Especially around our Mother."
"Well, I'll wait outside in the courtyard." replied Silvia, before Elsa and Anna gave their ok and lead the woman back to the front of the castle, however, after giving their farewells, and stepping pass the threshold of the door, Silvia gasped and turned to face the sisters.
"I never introduced myself when you opened the door!"
Silvia then gave a slight bow and gave her delayed introduction...
"My apologies Your Majesty, Your Highness; I'm Silvia Einsland, it is a pleasure to meet you in person."
The Sister's giggled briefly, before they returned the greeting...
"Elsa Arendelle."
"Anna Arendelle."
"And don't worry..." stated Silvia with a smile. "I won't lay a hand on any lovelies while I'm here."
The comment brought a nervous chuckle from the sisters and Elsa commented...
"T-Thanks."
"Heh, a smile fits your face much better, Your Majesty." replied Silvia, which prompted a blush to rise on Elsa's face, though a frown on Anna's.
"Really? Right in front of me?"
"Would you prefer I didn't?" asked Silvia with a smirk.
"N-no." replied Anna at the implication.
"I'm just attempting to brighten the mood and leave you smiling." stated Silvia. "A smile fits you as well, Your Highness, you're very cute."
"C-Cute?" questioned Anna as a blush came to her face and couldn't stop the smile from coming to her face. "W-We're already taken, flattery will get you nowhere!"
"I enjoy a challenge." replied Silvia with a wink. "But there's no need to separate you two, I'll accept you both."
"Ok..." replied Elsa with a smile as she reached to the doorknob. "You're quite bold to flirt with us."
"You're not saying to stop."
"Good day miss Einsland." added Elsa.
"Good day to you as well." stated Silvia cheerfully, before Elsa closed the door and Silvia chuckled before she walked away with a grin and commented to herself...
"Well, well, well... to think a pair of clueless, but very sweet humans could have access to the great reservoir of knowledge that Ahtohallan is said to hold. If I play this right, not only could I be a trusted ally of Arendelle's magical rulers, I can have access to Ahtohallan as well. Hehe, Knowledge is the greatest power one can have."
"Well..." started Anna with a nervous smile. "That was an unexpected parting."
"Well she did leave us smiling." replied Elsa turning to face Anna.
"She didn't need to flirt you you." replied Anna, before she sighed, "Anyway, despite me threatening her, Silvia was really nice; Even willing to bring us to and join us in the Enchanted Forest."
"Yeah, she was quite cheerful." replied Elsa as her smile faded for a slightly sadder expression, before Anna placed her hands to Elsa's shoulders.
"You doing ok?" asked Anna, clear concern on her face. "What Silvia had to say was really tough to hear."
Elsa gave a small sigh, though continued to smile as she lifted her hands up to Anna's on her shoulders.
"Oddly... yeah. This is still a lot to take in, but having answers is good. We've always wondered, 'What happened?'. It's brought up more questions, but we know now." answered Elsa, before she took a deep breath and slowly exhaled. "It's like I've been holding in this breath that I can finally release."
The reply brought a smile to Anna's face.
"I totally get what you mean."
Elsa then pulled Anna's hands from her shoulders to take her hands in her own.
"How are YOU doing, Anna? With the mess I've been these last two days, I'll failed to see how your doing."
"Well, considering what we learned, good. Not great, but I'm good. Having some idea of what happened, even though it's pretty emotional, is good." answered Anna, before she briefly averted her gaze with a grimace. "I know it's pretty morbid, but I hope we do find mom and dad. They should be buried here in Arendelle, not laying on some beach deca-" added Anna, before she stopped and tightly closed her eyes in an attempt her hold back her emotion, though Elsa quickly hugged her.
"I agree, Anna. We'll bring them home."
However, in the few moments Elsa comforted Anna, the Queen heard the strange voice...
'~AH~AHHH~AH~AHHHHHH~'
It was clear now, no longer straining to hear it, which prompted a reactive look around for it's source, but unlike her mimicked call, Elsa didn't feel any affect on herself; which allowed Elsa ignore the voice in favor of Anna, who soon pulled away, wiping the tears from her eyes.
"Well..." started Anna with a little smile and clearing her throat, "I'm gonna go plan out what to wear for our trip into the Enchanted Forest. Our everyday clothes won't cut it for going into the unknown, we might have to climb stuff and be more active."
"Heh, you're right." replied Elsa with a smile as well, before looking down to her dress. "This just won't do for hiking through a forest."
"Time for the Queen to wear some pants." teased Anna with a smirk.
"Hey, I have no issue with pants." replied Elsa. "I just prefer the freedom a dress provides."
Anna giggled before walking back and away from Elsa.
"See-ya later Elsa. If you need a hug later, just come find me."
"Same here." replied Elsa.
Elsa watched Anna depart from her sight, before her smile faded from her face and her expression saddened.
Returning back to the Portrait Room, Elsa gazed upon the painting of her parents again, this time focusing on her mother, Iduna, smiling for the painting while a small frown came to Elsa's face.
"What did you know mother?" questioned Elsa. "You didn't speak of your past, yet you apparently knew of some Ancient spirit called Ahtohallan..." added Elsa, before she looked down to her hands. "A spirit, magic..."
'~AH~AHHH~AH~AHHHH~'
"Which is now calling to me, but not Anna..."
- Three days later, Tuesday, 4:46 A.M. -
- Elsa's Room -
The early morning was calm and if either sister was awake, would only hear the steady sound of rain outside; although, the sound of Anna's snoring would be the more prominent of the sounds as the Princess lie on her back.
However, a frosty treat soon floated down into Anna's open mouth, who unconsciously swallowed the the tiny amount of water. A few more icy flakes landed on Anna's face, around her nose, prompting a small reactive sneeze, waking her.
Although a little dazed from the interruption of her slumber, Anna saw the curious sight of a light snowfall around her and Anna was quickly alert, this only happened for one reason and she sat up and turned around to face Elsa but a very curious sight greeted her.
A snowy cloud hovered above Elsa head, before the cloud took the form of a mysterious, young girl running around with what appeared to be wind swirling around her.
"What is going on?" questioned Anna, before she looked down to Elsa to see she was still calmly sleeping, even a smile on her face, before a smile came to Anna's as she returned her gaze to the mysterious child smiling with delight as the wind swept her up. "Is this what Elsa's dreaming!?"
The dream child then ran towards the foot of the bed and past it as trees began to form, ruining through the forest; which prompted Anna to quickly leave the bed to follow the dream, walking through the small, roughly head-sized recreation of the dream as the child happily ran though the forest.
"This is amazing." commented Anna with delight, before she looked back to Elsa on the bed, who still looked content, before Anna returned her focus on the dream in front of her, though she had briefly lost sight of the child, before they ran by her left to right and Anna continued to follow, watching as the wind lifts the child up to swing on a tree branch, which prompted a small chuckle from Anna when she simply walked though the snowy illusion.
However, the child soon stops in what looked to be a clearing and concern on her face, before Anna saw what looked to be faceless solders replace the child, menacingly advancing with weapons drawn.
"What the..." Anna then saw the solders changed to a fire, which sunk into a sudden hole where a tornado-like wind appeared which now began to affect reality, swirling around her and causing her night gown to billow in its wind. Anna was soon pushed against the dresser which she used to steady herself, as many other things in the room began to be tossed aside. "A nightmare now?" questioned Anna, before she turned her attention back to Elsa, who looked to be shifting in the bed from the distress of her dream-turned-nightmare.
"Elsa!"
Anna tried calling to her sister to wake her, but that only seemed to make the icy wind more intense before the balcony windows doors shot open with the shattering of glass following which was caught in the icy wind and Anna lifted her right hand up over her face in time to feel the sting of glass cutting at her hand and arm.
"Elsa!"
Anna called again, pushing herself from the dresser to try and get to Elsa to calm her. However, despite feeling the stinging pain of glass repeatedly cutting her as she walked into what was essentially a whirlwind of blades, Anna soon saw Elsa's hands glow with her magic, quickly sit up and fire a blast of ice towards her and Anna re-actively used her own magic to try and block the blast.
The result caused a small, though unexpected icy-fire explosion with enough force to knock Anna back into the wall, though still remained conscious, allowing her to groan with pain as she lay face-down on the floor.
"Owwwwww!"
Anna soon hears Elsa's voice.
"What the... ANNA!"
Anna then felt a hand on her right shoulder, and Elsa added worriedly.
"Anna what happened!? Your bleeding all over!"
Anna groaned as she lifted herself up on her hands and knees, before sitting up.
"You had a nightmare." answered Anna, before she opened her eyes, though a very curious sight hovers behind Elsa, four icy-fiery crystals.
"I did this to you!?" gasped Elsa.
"What are those behind you?" asked Anna.
"It doesn't matter! You're hurt!" declared Elsa, before Anna smiled.
"It's fine." replied Anna, before she lifted her right hand, seeing the sleeve of her nightgown cut up with numerous holes while her arm was covered in cuts, nearly covered in blood, though the red aura of her magic covered her hand, then her body, healing the cuts. "See, I can just heal."
"That's not the point! I did this to you! Again!" declared Elsa teary-eyed, before she heard the voice once again. "I'm the one being called, I should go to the Enchanted Forest-"
"Alone?" finished Anna, with a frown. "Not happening. We're doing this together."
"But Anna-"
"But nothing." replied Anna, getting to her feet and Elsa followed. "I may not be hearing this voice your hearing, but we're doing this together. WE are going to bring mom and dad back. You might've had a case if I didn't have magic, but I do. Besides, even without my magic, I climbed the North Mountain, survived a frozen heart and saved you from Hans; So I'm coming."
"..."
Elsa had nothing to say to Anna's remarks, and Anna would likely disregard her staying if she demanded it as Queen and possibly hurt their relationship if she took that route, but Anna would be safe.
"And don't even think of making it the 'Queen's demand', 'cause I'll just ignore it." added Anna. "Besides, what if you get hurt? If the Northuldra attack you? You can't heal yourself. Me being able heal alone makes me valuable even if I do nothing else."
"You have a limit on healing." stated Elsa.
"Better than no healing; plus, I already planned on bringing a satchel with some food in the event that I need to regain my energy."
Elsa was silent for a moment, before she reached to Anna's right hand and pulled her cut up sleeve up her arm to fully expose it, revealing Anna's arm perfectly healed.
"Fine... We look out for each other." stated Elsa.
"Of course, I got your back Elsa!" replied Anna with a smile.
The reply prompted a wary smile from Elsa, before she looked back to the large floating crystals or their combined magic.
"What are these, though?" asked Elsa.
"Dunno..." replied Anna, walking up to the crystals, as tall as they were. "I figured you might know."
"I don't have a clue..." replied Elsa, joining Anna to her left. "But there's symbols inside them... Wind, Fire, Earth and Water."
"It must be related to your dream." stated Anna.
"My dream?" questioned Elsa.
"Yeah, I woke to what I assume to be your dream playing out with your magic." replied Anna. "At first it was a young girl playing with the wind and happily running through the forest, before what looked like solders appeared ready to fight, then fire and wind. The wind part actually had a real affect, like at the end of the Eternal Winter when you created the blizzard, but it was just in this room, which shattered the door leading out to the balcony." explained Anna.
"Wow..." commented Elsa. "I don't remember any of that."
"Really? Not even the happy parts?"
"No, none of it... I just remember... being afraid."
Anna then hugged Elsa, who quickly returned the hug and Anna commented...
"Looks like Ahtohallan is tired of waiting if it's starting to affect you like this."
"Yeah..." replied Elsa. "But that doesn't change our goal for going to the the Enchanted Forest; Find Mother and Father, and bring them home."
"Right."
- 2:23 P.M. -
- Elsa's Room -
"Hmmm... this should do." commented Elsa as she stood in front of a full-body mirror as she looked over her finalized choice for the journey into the Enchanted Forest.
Elsa's outfit consisted entirely of her magic, an icy one-piece bodysuit that matched her figure like a second skin, with the addition of a near sheer skirt, just so that her silhouette didn't look nude, but the main part which hugged her body was solid enough to maintain her dignity if she was somehow liberated of her dressy coat that reached down to her calf's, which were covered with icy boots.
A knocking soon came from Elsa's door and Anna announced herself.
"You ready Elsa?"
"Yeah, you can come in." replied Elsa as she turned around to face Anna as she walked in and they both smiled at the other.
"Nice look Elsa." replied Anna with a smile.
"You too." replied Elsa, seeing that while Anna opted for real fabric, an outfit quite similar to hers; a black sleeve-less jumpsuit with brown trimming, with the addition of a matching skirt as well, though Anna's coat was one of glass, as well as her boats. "Why the glass coat though?"
Anna grinned before before the coat shifted off of her and into her right hand in the form of a glass sword.
"Just in case I need to defend myself, I won't set anything on fire." Answered Anna, which prompted a worried look on Elsa's face.
"Clever... Do you even know how to use that?"
"Just swing the sharp part at the thing you don't want to be in front of you, pretty simple really." replied Anna, which prompted a sigh from Elsa.
"Hopefully you won't need to though."
"Same here." replied Anna, before the sword transformed back into her coat. "But better safe than sorry. We have no clue what's waiting for us on the other side of the mist. I won't risk setting things on fire with a sword."
"True... Oh, by the way..." replied Elsa, before she walked to her dresser and knelt down to the bottom drawer. "Since you're gonna have a bag, bring mother's scarf with you." added Elsa, before she retrieved their mother's burgundy scarf and handing it to Anna. "To remind us why were doing this in the event something happens, or one of us or both of us lose sight of that."
"Ok." replied Anna, taking the garment.
'~AH~AHHH~AH~AHHHH~'
- 4:23 P.M. -
- Council Chambers -
"You two ready?" asked Silvia, still wearing her rather revealing clothing from before.
Elsa and Anna share a brief gaze with a smile and answer, "Yeah.", before Anna added, patting her satchel under her glass coat, it's straps across her her body from her left shoulder toward her right hip where the bag rests...
"I even brought some food in case one of use gets hurt. I can heal and regain my energy."
"Oh, you can heal?" asked Silvia with a smile. "Well you're certainly a valuable asset to have. And came prepared, nice." she added, before a wave of her left have created a grounded portal leading to a wall of fog. "Well let's get this adventure started..." she stated, before walking through the portal and turning to face them, and gesturing them to follow. "It's safe to enter, come on."
The sisters shared another look, though while Elsa looked wary, Anna was excited and walked up to the portal and reached her hand back to Elsa, who takes her hand and the two walk through the portal uneventfully, before it closed behind them and they look on in amazement as they stood in front of the massive wall of mist.
"It's... so big." commented Anna, before Elsa looked back to see a wide open space was behind them and mountains in the distance.
"Sure is." commented Silvia. "I did another fly around yesterday and this is the closet I could get us to were I estimate the shore is, since you two can't fly."
"Thank you." replied Elsa. "You've gone far beyond what was requested of you."
"Heh, this is no longer fulling a request." replied Silvia. "I want to satisfy my own curiosity and I'm assisting you of my own volition."
"Well thank you for your assistance." stated Elsa.
Silvia smiles and gestured to the mist wall...
"Well, do your thing and get us through the mist, it repels me if I try to enter."
"Ok..." replied Elsa, before she took a slow breath and reached out her right hand to Anna, who takes it and the two walk in front of the mist and Elsa reached out her left hand to it...
