Internal Deception

Chapter 28th

Doctor Grace once again was waiting for Special Agent Gibbs for his session with her. She could use a good stiff drink even during the day. Checking the time on the clock behind her, there was a knock on her door with Gibbs popping his head inside.

"Wow! Now this is a real surprise, You really showed up to talk Popeye." Using her nickname for him at times.

"I did and I do wish to continue on with conversation in the bar we had and other subjects." He said with going to lock the door so not to have anyone walk in on them.

"Ok. How would you like to start Special Agent Gibbs?" She asked with her full attention and placing her notepad in front of her on the desk already filled with other files.

Taking a quick breather before talking and gathering his thoughts. "First of all we have the two traitors in jail right now that was behind the total deception."

"Who was it since I haven't been told anything as yet Gibbs?" She watched his face for any type of reaction.

"Wynn Crawford the Secretary of Defense and Gordon Liber of the Evergreen safehouse. We were able to catch them dead to rights with all of the evidence." He takes a breath before continuing with his talking. "They will be going to jail for the rest of their lives."

"That's if the inmates don't get to them first Gibbs. Anyrate I am glad it's over for you and Bishop now out of the picture with the nonsense and the rest of your lives freed." Doctor Grace stated with pouring herself a glass of water. "Want any water Popeye?"

"Please, I am tire of poisoning my system with the booze. Is there anything else you would like to know Doc?" She poured him the water and placing it into his hand. "Thanks." He said with a slight smile before drinking from the glass.

"How do you feel now that you can get back to your life at NCIS?" She had hit a raw nerve with him.

"Good, though I do have someone in my life now that I can share it with Loreile. I know it's been a long time since I had and opened up with my feelings. Maybe now I will be able to continue to do so with Loreile and hopefully knowing that Ziva and Tony will be finally able to live a happy life with their daughter."

"I know this is a stretch Gibbs, do you think that maybe you and Loreile will want to have a child down the road and fill that gap with losing Kelly?" She knew that she was wrong with asking the question in the first place.

"Maybe Doc." His answer filled with emotion. "I need to use my cell phone for a moment." He asked calmly and nicely.

"Sure go ahead Popeye." She finished up her water to pickup a file to read while he got up to call Loreile.

She was in her quarters after finding out about the arrests. She stopped what she was doing to answer her cell from Gibbs. "Hey! What's up Jethro?"

"I have the week off. How about joining me at the cabin for the week and enjoy the outdoors?" He asked softly with the request.

"Would you believe I have the time off as well Gibbs? My new boss has decided to hold off on the protection for Senator Murphy after finding about the arrests with Crawford and Liber. I will meet you at your house later after I pack and pick up supplies for the cabin. See you soon."

"I love you, Loreile." He said very low so that Doctor Grace wouldn't hear him.

"I love you, Gibbs as well. See you soon." He pressed end with the call to head back over to the doctor.

"Alright Popeye, you can go now. We can talk when you get back from your week's vacation. And have a good time and don't worry about anything."

"I won't!"

A message was sent to a source in Washington, D.C. The coded message was intercepted by the one hit man paid a great deal to take out Special Agent Gibbs and Lt. Loreile Baskins...
