Time Period: A Flashback Post The D& C

Place: Rebecca's recovery room

Rebecca's p.o.v

Jack crawls underneath the bedsheets and wraps his arms around my body. "I miscarried our little princess. I am so sorry, Jack" I sob uncontrollably. "The miscarriage is not your fault. We will try again someday" Jack encourages me. There is a small hint of sadness in his eyes. "We lost a baby. I know your heart is broken. You can cry in my presence" I urge him. "Please excuse me, Bec" Jack excuses himself. I can hear him crying in the hallway. When he returns to my bedside, he pretends to be fine.

Time Period: The Present Reality-Rebecca and Miguel's house

Situation: Rebecca remembers her miscarriage during breakfast time

Rebecca's p.o.v

"Honey, you are not your jolly self today" Miguel observes. "Jack and I experienced a miscarriage on this day thirty years ago. Our daughter Khloe would've been twenty nine years old" I reflect. "OH Rebecca" Miguel's voice cracks as he hugs me.
