Nightstorm rushed into FireClan camp, breaking through the entrance and skidding on the ground before coming to a halt. Firepelt was sitting eating a piece of prey and noticed him. "Aren't you supposed to be at some meeting?"
"No, somethings going on down there… IceClan is launching an attack on the 'Star's' or whatever they call themselves, and we need to help IceClan."

Firepelt took a step back. "What? IceClan is the traitor!"

Nightstorm shook his head. "Addertail is insane. There is no StarClan here, there never was. I know Yellowstar did some bad stuff, but she's our best bet. We need to help them."

Firepelt seemed to accept that. "You might be right… I never really trusted Addertail. Who all is down there?"

At this point Sunfur, Graycloud, and Featherheart had gathered to hear what Nightstorm was saying. "Uh… some FireClan, some CaveClan, some LightClan… Stonepelt, Yellowstar, Mintbreeze…"

Featherheart tilted her head. "Huh?"
Nightstorm blinked in confusion. I thought I made that clear. "What?" he asked.

Featherheart seemed to find the place of her confusion. "Nevermind, let's go."

A few other warriors nodded, and Nightstorm saw Sandfur approach the rest of the Clan. The sum of around three patrols headed to the only entrance on the territory as quickly as possible. While padding through the grass Firepelt came to the side of Nightstorm. "How many of the…" Firepelt trailed off, clearly thinking of the right word for the Star's, "...enemies are down there?"

"I don't know, dozens. They call themselves the Star's."

"Surely IceClan will be able to defeat them," said Firepelt, "if they have the element of surprise."

Nightstorm knew this probably wasn't the case. "Maybe, but the Star's are very skilled."

"Do you know which way to the… gathering of them?" asked Featherheart.

Nightstorm was a little irritated that his Clanmates didn't trust him very much. "Of course, I was just there."

"You've always been forgetful, that's all," responded Featherheart.

Nightstorm dug his claws into the ground. "Just let me handle this," he muttered.

Featherheart sighed and the patrol carried on. Once in the caves, faint sounds of a struggle came from a distance.

Featherheart and Firepelt instantly looked at each other, as if they knew Nightstorm had been right. The patrol ran through the caves until they came across an opening, with a few IceClan cats tackling another warrior, presumably one from the Star's.

The IceClan warriors jumped when they saw the approaching warriors and unsheathed their claws, ready for another battle.

"We're not with the Star's, don't worry," said Nightstorm to the IceClan cats, who continued to hold their ground.

"How do we know you're not lying," meowed one, "especially the cat who was FireClan's deputy?"
Graycloud stepped forward. "If we were lying why not attack you now? We have the advantage."

The IceClan warriors seemed to be satisfied with this. "Fine, just come with us, the battle is this way."
Nightstorm noticed Whiteheart in the crowd. "I see you came to your senses," meowed Whiteheart.

"I guess, I'm still, confused."

"I would think so…"

Nightstorm followed the group of IceClan cats through the tunnels, aware of a different noise that was bugging him. After a small walk, the noise in which only Nightstorm seemed to hear appeared to originate from another tunnel at his right. Even if he wanted to join the battle, something about that noise was oddly familiar. "I'm gonna check down here," he said, pointing his tail to the tunnel.

The other warriors gave him suspicious looks. An IceClan cat stepped forward to speak. "The battle is this way, but then again, we better hurry, come on."

With that, the Clan cats continued on their way while Nightstorm walked through to the extension of the tunnel, the sound he heard getting louder. A short way down he came to a small ledge which he easily hopped down out of into another tunnel, this one bigger and wider than the last one, which was tight and cramped.

The noise was gone now, nothing but light rain from the outside world was heard in the distance until a few pawsteps alerted Nightstorm. He braced himself for the worst, unsheathing his claws and preparing himself to fight the oncomers. Instead, two more FireClan warriors popped out, one of them Sunfur and one Tinysnow. A third cat appeared from behind them as they made their way through the tunnel, clearly trying to escape something. Nightstorm felt instant relief wash over him. The third cat wall Yellowstar.

But once the patrol spotted him Tinysnow and Sunfur instantly charged him and Nightstorm was knocked to the ground, clearly unprepared and confused. "What are you doing?" questioned Nightstorm, struggling to speak under Tinysnow's grasp.

"Bringing the traitor back with us!" hissed Sunfur.

Nightstorm easily knocked Sunfur off of him but Tinysnow bit down on his leg while Sunfur recovered and held Nightstorm down. "No, they're going to find you," insisted Nightstorm, "you have to get out of here!"
"We aren't going anywhere until the battle has been one and you're our prisoner," hissed Yellowstar.

The sound of a pebble sliding caused all four cats to perk their heads. Nightstorm knew that might be the Star's, for the only thing ahead of them was darkness and he couldn't see more than a fox length outwards.

"Who's there?" asked Tinysnow.

Only eerie darkness responded, leaving the patrol to unsheathe their claws, ready to fight. Sunfur started to approach the origin of the noise, which gave Nightstorm the strength to get up and back away from Tinysnow, who didn't notice and continued staring into the eternal blackness.

Right as Nightstorm thought it was just mouse, a mud-plastered cat jumped out and tackled Sunfur, quickly giving him a killing bite while the rest of the patrol froze in shock and horror. Nightstorm ignored the gurgling sound coming from Sunfur and ran. He caught a glimpse of Tinysnow and Yellowstar coming after him. He kept running through the tunnel while he heard more and more pawsteps joining in behind him and heard a shriek from Tinysnow as he too must've been caught.

Nightstorm got chills from the sound of a slash after Tinysnow was tackled, but continued running. Yellowstar caught up with Nightstorm and clearly understood Nightstorm had left the Star's for good before they skidded to a halt. In front of them was the same clearing where the gathering of the Star's had taken place, and they were surrounded by every angle, IceClan bodies littering the floor.

Addertail stepped out of the crowd of cats with a smirk on his face. "I see you don't know your way around the caves, Yellowstar."

Nightstorm wasn't attacked by the others, but Yellowstar was tackled and pinned to the ground. "You may have to kill her… multiple times, since she is a leader," meowed Addertail to Snakefang, who stood over Yellowstar with satisfaction in his eyes.

Nightstorm yowled in protest but was held back by some more of the Star's. Even if he wanted to look away he couldn't help but watch. "Go on already," hissed Addertail to Snakefang.

"Sorry, just enjoying the moment," replied Snakefang, before striking his claws down on Yellowstar's throat.

She bled out fairly quickly, choking on the blood and eventually dying. Snakefang raised his paw again. "Any moment now," persuaded Addertail.

A few moments passed, Yellowstar didn't move. Her eyes were empty and clouded, her dead expression clearly had been scared before.

"That's strange, I was sure she hadn't lost a life yet," said Addertail.

The Star's gathered around gave Addertail a hard and suspicious stare. "So StarClan didn't give her the nine lives?" questioned Snakefang.

"Perhaps not, maybe they were angered by her ignorance towards them," replied Addertail, clearly uncomfortable that Yellowstar had died so easily.
Snakefang shrugged and cleaned the blood of his paw. Addertail turned to Nightstorm, who had no way to escape. "I see you've returned… had any other thoughts about us?" asked Addertail.

Nightstorm was so petrified he didn't muster a response, wondering if they would kill him just as quickly.

"Don't worry," ensured Addertail, "we can't kill you if you're our messenger, even if you're uncooperative."

Nightstorm gained his confidence back. He hissed at Addertail, who didn't flinch. The rain grew louder as the meeting continued, the Star's ignoring the bodies on the ground and sitting in their places. He didn't recognize any of the bodies, so that meant the patrol he had been with was still somewhere in the caverns. Stonepelt wasn't within the bodies either, so he must've been alive. Some of the warriors that had seemed so confident before were clearly anxious about the rain. Addertail seemed to notice this as he grew ready to speak, Nightstorm staying where he was. After all, he didn't have any choice. "Don't worry about the rain, StarClan wouldn't let us die."
A few cats seemed reassured but the others were unconvinced. "Some of us died when IceClan attacked, surely they don't expect us to be that mouse-brained."

"Leave if you wish."

A few of the warriors glanced at the other gathered cats that didn't move and must've decided to stay. Once the moment passed Addertail continued. "Did any of you kill Stonepelt? I thought I caught a glimpse of him during the attack."

"No, he escaped," said one.

"Well then gather a few cats and find him!"

The rain grew steadily louder. It seemed as if Nightstorm was the only one who was worried about the caves possibly flooding.
