The months flew by and before any of them knew it, the weather had turned colder... well ... if an average day time temperature of sixty degrees could be considered cold that is, and the holidays were upon them.

"Are you sure you have everything?" Eliza asked dryly as she helped them to the door with the last of their luggage.

"Hey! You try taking a trip with two kids sometime!" Zed said with laugh as they heard a knock at the door. They opened it to find Myra and Javal standing on the other side.

"Aunt Myra! Uncle Javal!" Zach exclaimed as he ran to them and embraced them

"He's so huge already!" Myra said

"Of course he is, look at who his dad is." Javal said with a grin as he clapped Zed on the shoulder.

"And you, baby girl are every bit the spitting image of your mom!" Myra cooed as she hoisted Angelina from Addison's arms.

"Whoa!" Zed exclaimed as he walked outside to see a sleek, brand new motor home parked on the street in front of their house.

"Awesome right? We thought it was time for an upgrade. " Javal said with a grin.

"It can sleep ten, so we all should have plenty of room." Myra said as she, Javal and Eliza helped Zed and Addison load their luggage .

"You guys have fun and be careful. " Eliza said as she hugged them both and said her goodbyes to the kids.

"We'll see you in two weeks, Eliza. " Addison said as she gave her a final wave and they were off.

Eliza waved at them until they disappeared around the corner.

She shivered against the chill of the early evening and she pulled her jacket tighter around her as she slowly walked back inside.

She sighed, the small sound echoing around the now empty house, the house that had seemed so warm and welcoming mere minutes ago.

Now it felt cold and empty.

She suddenly regretted not telling Wyatt that she basically had her own place for two weeks, she had come close several times, but she had chickened out.

The truth was that she was afraid. She had never even kissed a boy before she started dating Wyatt and now things were moving so fast between them. So many emotions were swirling inside of her at once, and they were at war with each other over which emotion would be the dominant one.

She missed him terribly when she wasn't with him and the urge to call him was almost too much to ignore, but at the same time she was terrified that he would be angry with her for not being honest with him, they had so little chance to really be alone as it was, save a few stolen moments at their favorite spot on the mountain, or when Eliza watched the kids on Addison and Zed's date nights.

But this was different... this time there would be no interruptions, no parents or family to get home to, no one to walk in on them ... and the mere thought of the most likely conclusion to an evening like that made her so nervous that she could barely breathe.

And it's not that she didn't WANT it to happen, quite the opposite actually; but that didn't make it any less scary, either.

So there she sat, staring at the show flickering on the TV, but not really watching it as the inner war between the many emotions within her continued.

Wyatt looked down at the twinkling lights of the two cities as his eyes settled on Zombietown. His heart swelled with emotion at the thought that HIS girl was somewhere down there amongst the tiny flickering lights.

He blew out a sigh, his breath hanging silvery in front of him in the crisp mountain air, he checked the time on his phone, it was six in the evening.

He was suddenly overcome with the urge to go and see her, it was so strong that it made his heart ache.

"I thought I'd find you here." He heard his sister's voice behind him.

He remained silent as she joined him at the edge of the ledge, his eyes focused on the two towns below them.

"You're thinking about her, aren't you?" She said as a smile played about her mouth.

He grinned embarrassingly, but didn't reply.

Willa's expression turned empathetic as she put a hand on her brother's shoulder

"You really like her a lot, don't you?"

Wyatt met her gaze

"I think I'm ... Falling in love with her." He admitted in a quiet voice.

"And what about her? Does she know?" Willa replied

"Well ... No ... At least ... I don't think so." He said

Willa gave him an exasperated look

"So you DIDN'T tell her what it means when one of our kind gifts a moonstone to their mate?" She said

"Well ... Um ... No." He admitted as he averted his gaze from hers in favor of the ground between them.

"Wyatt ...!" Willa exclaimed exasperatedly

"I know! I know! I just ... I chickened out okay! Every time I try to tell her, I lose my nerve! I mean ... What if she doesn't feel the same way?" He said

"But you said she accepted the necklace, right?" Willa said

"Yeah, she loves it, she like NEVER takes it off." He said, his chest puffing out a little with pride.

"Then it's pretty safe to say that she feels the same way, otherwise she probably wouldn't have accepted it." Willa said.

"She also probably doesn't realize what it means." Wyatt countered

"And that's why you have to TELL her, she deserves to know the symbolism behind what she's wearing."

Wyatt blew out a sigh

"You're right ... Of course." He said as he grinned at her.

"Of course I am." She said, nudging his shoulder as she grinned back.

He checked the time in his phone and a pang of disappointment rang through him, it was now after eight, too late to go and see her tonight. He would have to wait until tomorrow ... Which would mean that tonight would be one of the longest nights of his life.

"Wyatt, what a nice surprise!" Mrs. Zambie said as she opened the door to find him standing in the other side of it.

"Good morning, Mrs. Zambie, I was wondering... If I could ... If Eliza was ... Available?" He said, inwardly cringing at how awkward he sounded.

Mrs. Zambie however, have him a quizzical look.

"Eliza isn't here, dear, she's house sitting for Zed and Addison for the next two weeks while they're off visiting family." Mrs. Zambie said, the way she talked, she probably figured that Eliza had told him.

But she hadn't.

A hot magma of anger, mixed with hurt and betrayal quickly rose within him.

"Thanks, Mrs. Zambie." He said as he spun around and headed towards Zed and Addison's house at a full gallop.

The closer he got, the more hurt and angry he felt, why the hell hadn't she TOLD him about this awesome opportunity to FINALLY have some real time to themselves without the fear of being walked in on or the worry of having to get home?

A thought hit him that was so painful, he felt like he's just been stabbed in the heart with a silver stake.

Maybe she DIDN'T feel the same way about him that he did about her?

Wyatt let out a an anguished growl as he picked up his pace.

Eliza was startled out of her game playing revere by a loud pounding on the front door.

"Who the brains could that be?" She said to herself as she paused the game and walked to the door, she suddenly stopped as frightening images of those terrible agents flashed into her mind.

Director Callahan had promised that they would be left alone, and Zed and Addison had taken him at his word, but not her, she didn't trust ANYONE from the government.

She looked through the peephole and her heart gave an excited leap as she scrambled to open the door.

There stood Wyatt, his nostrils were flared and he was breathing hard, he has obviously run all the way here. His expression was a mix of anger, hurt, and something else she couldn't quite put a name to, but it DEFINITELY would've made her blush, if she had had the ability.

"We need to talk!" He growled at her.
