This is a request for something based on season 4 spoilers. I don't believe there's anything that could majorly spoil the show unless you haven't seen season 3. There's a little bit of everything in this one and it's going to be in multiple parts so stay tuned.

Marinette sat through class, drawing her final sketches for her dress. The school dance was a few days away and she was behind. Before she knew it the bell rang and she rushed to pack her things. Alya and Nino left, talking about the date the had planned for the night. Marinette put her last book away and went to catch up with them.
She bumped into someone. "Adrien?" She thought he had left with them. He smiled down at her.
"I thought we could walk together," he offered. She smiled. She knew he was only doing this because he was nice but her heart still fluttered.
Marinette nodded. They walked out together as everyone was milling around the school.
Luka was waiting by the door. "Luka?" Marinette tilted her head, stopping to talk to him. Adrien stopped too. "Are you waiting for Juleka?" She looked around, trying to spot her.
"Actually, I was waiting for you," he smiled, ignoring Adrien at her side. Luka's words struck a chord with Adrien. He watched as Marinette blushed, looking between the two. He knew they had gotten close but he expected it was only as better friends like he and Kagami were.
"Marinette," Adrien stepped in. "Don't you need to get home?" He smiled tightly. Marinette didn't seem to notice his intentions and looked at him confusedly.
"Ah, yeah I guess so," she chuckled, looking between the two boys. The tension was thick between them. She gave Luka a small smile as Adrien tried to corral her away.
"Marinette before you go," Adrien sighed as she turned back around. "Do you want to get ice cream tomorrow?" She beamed, it had been a while since they had André's.
"Of course!" She looked back to Adrien whose face was downcast. Adrien didn't like the idea. She looked between the boys. Maybe hanging out together would help them become a bit more... friendly.
"Then its a da-" Luka started, thinking his win was secured.
"Do you think… Adrien could come to?" Luka stopped mid-sentence, his face a wall of hidden emotions. He wanted to say no but she looked up at him so innocently he couldn't refuse. Adrien's eyes widened, a giddy smile spreading across his face. He gave Luka a self-assured smirk.
"Sure," Luka stared Adrien down. "I don't mind at all."
Marinette smiled widely, unaware of the battle going on between the two boys. They all walked out together, each going their separate ways. She happily got to work on her dress once she arrived.
Adrien plopped face down into his bed. Why did it feel like he was losing? Chat Noir had been visiting Marinette for some time now but she didn't know he was Adrien. It was incredibly frustrating. She told him she was over her crush for the boy she liked. He thought he had a chance now but she was still not over Luka.
He would do whatever he must do to win her heart. "Plagg what can I do?" Plagg munched on cheese, ignoring Adrien's turmoil.
"Just tell her you like her," Plagg shrugged like it was that easy.
Adrien groaned, "I can't just do that." He was just glad Marinette and Luka weren't going on that date. Somehow he would have to tell Marinette his feelings without exposing his identity.
Adrien crept downstairs toward the front door. He was almost in the home stretch when the click of heels behind him made him stop.
"Where do you think you're going?" Nathalie asked, tapping her foot. Adrien stopped in his tracks, turning around to face her.
"Uh, out?" He looked anywhere but her eyes. She gave him a stern look and he sighed.
"I'm just going out with a few friends for a bit, please don't tell father," he pleaded. She sighed tubbing her temples.
"Fine," He beamed. "But once you get back you better work hard." He nodded, rushing out the door. She didn't always approve of Gabriel's parenting but she knew he had his reasons.
Adrien made his way to Marinette's house. He got the brilliant idea to walk her there last night. He was making his way along the street when he noticed a certain blue-haired boy coming from the opposite direction. He squinted and sure enough, it was Luka.
His original idea wasn't so original anymore. As they grew closer to her home Adrien sped up. Luka followed suit, not going to lose. Adrien scoffed and went even faster. This went on until they were basically running. They reached the door at the same time.
"I totally beat you," Adrien puffed up. Luka rolled his eyes, knocking on the door. Luka felt childish.
Tom opened the door with surprised eyes. "I'm here to pick up Marinette," both boys said in unison, glaring at each other. Tom smiled, knowing all to well the struggle they were going through. He opened the door for them to enter the bakery and Marinette was behind the counter, wearing an apron, her left cheek covered in flour. Both boys watched fondly as she was in her element.
She noticed them and perked up. She grinned and pulled the apron off. She pulled her purse from behind the counter and stood in front of them. They kept staring at her.
"Hellooo," she waved a hand in front of their faces. They snapped back to reality and she giggled. "Are we ready to go?"
Luka nodded. Adrien licked his finger, wiping the flour off her cheek with a gentle touch. "You had a little something there."
Her face flushed and her breath caught in her throat. Luka scowled and grabbed her hand, pulling her back to reality and towards the door. After they got outside, he released her hand.
The walk to André's was an awkward one. She didn't know what was going on between these two but she hoped ice cream could fix it.
André saw them coming and waved. "What'll it be? Blackberry and peppermint?" He pointed at Marinette and Adrien. "Blackberry and plum" He pointed at Marinette and Luka. "or peppermint and plum" He finally pointed at Adrien and Luka.
They all looked at each other, unsure of what would be the best.
"You pick Marinette," Both boys looked to her. What was this situation? She was having deja vu.
"André," Marinette whispered. "Instead of love could your ice cream help two people become better friends?"
André nodded, taking in her question before thinking for a moment. "It's all about intention so I believe so!" Marinette smiled.
"Then we'll have the Peppermint," Adrien smirked giving Luka a self-satisfied grin. "And the plum." both boys gaped at her.
"Are you sure?" She nodded and he scooped it up. She handed them each a cone. They looked at each other and laughed. Marinette looked between them, confused but happy to see the ice cream was already working.
They tried it. Friendship was indeed tasty.
