Dewey feels that no one is his family pays attention to him so he runs off, but is later found. It's no big deal. Or so it seems. But Webby's onto him. There's something strange about Dewey, and she'll find out what. She should be able to figure out what's wrong with her friend...right? Rated T for violence; no cursing. (THIS IS A SHORT STORY, SO THE CHAPTERS ARE SHORT.)

23. Chapter 23

Nobody Listens Chapter 23: "Adventure Part 4"

Dewey walked through the castle while holding Webby's hand. He looked to see a booby trap on tjr floor and immediately his instincts kicked in, "Hey Webbs! Guess what time it is?"

"It's us time!" Webby cheered.

Dewey spotted a vine growing on the ceiling, "Dewey, Dewey, Dew, Dewey, doing it!" He sang.

"With Webby his best friend!" Webby sang, taking a running start and leapt on Louie's head and then hung onto Dewey's feet.

Both of them did a back flip on to solid ground, "Do it with Dewey and Webby!"

Louie rubbed his head, "This has gotta stop."

Dewey and Webby laughed a bit as Louie tried to make his way across the trap, failed, failed again, then just ran across it, "AHHHHHHH!"

He collapsed on the ground, "You. Will. Kill. Me."

Huey navigated his way past the traps while Scrooge, Della, Donald, Beakley, and Launchpad scouted ahead.

Dewey smiled. This felt just like old times.

And his demons weren't here this time.
