Chapter 25
It's been a week since that confrontation in New Orleans. Hunter had gotten used to having a family again, along with the Guardians training together with their new powers. So far, nothing had appeared on the radar, it was...too quiet.
The three individuals were surrounding an orb with a dark negative aura glowing on it.
Women?: All according to plan Endgame...
Step Father: You better have a good plan for that Crusher.
Endgame's voice: Patients my followers...I believe that it is time for you dear to reminded her of what happened.
The women wickedly smiled.
Bruno: You mean HER?! That little twit was the reason i got kicked out!
Women?: Let's just say... It's all worth it. She will be the catalyst for the truth to be revealed and him to fall, right Endgame?
Endgame voice: Yes...finally, after all these years, I will have my revenge.
HOK...
The Guardians were training when the alarms blared. The immediately ran over.
RZ: Talon has detected negative energy in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Tua: Do you think that it's one of those Twisted Rusherz?
RZ: It's best to believe that it is.
Ish: So we better be on guard. Let's head over and see what's going on.
Everyone nodded as they headed to the portal jumping in.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium...
Talon was searching the field, high on guard and his hands glowing. He searched back and forth not hearing the portal open.
Marty: Talon.
Talon screeched and turned, startling the Guardians. He sighed as he calmed down.
Talon: Sorry, I'm a bit on edge.
Jack: We can see that. You going to be okay when we face your version?
Talon: I'm ready when the time comes. I'm more worried about you guys.
Ash: We'll be okay...
They all looked at eachother, for some reason they felt like something would go wrong. Sure enough, the air went cold and glitching into existence was Talon's twisted version. His version was riddle with bite marks, his gloved off revealing scar beyond repair hands and his eyes had slashes across them.
Talon: I WILL FIND THEM...
Dean: Perfect timing...
Talon's twisted version lifted his hand and swatted Talon away. Talon hit the wall and was left dazed.
Troy: HEY! We haven't even started yet!
Twisted Talon (Endgame voice): I am not here for him...I here for all of you. All of you have faced so much nightmares lately...all but one.
Ricky: What are you talking about!
Ash: She's talking about the nightmare's I'm still having... but here's a surprise for everyone, I know you have a special plan for us and I won't let you succeed!
The other Guardians looked at Ash in surprise and awe, Ish giving them a nodded in confirmation. They both turned to the twisted Rusher with determination in their eyes.
Joseph: You hear that, Ash has all the information on you and your plan to attack us. What are you going to do huh!?
The twisted Rusher growled in anger, then turned it's gaze to one of the guardians. Talon went to tackle it when he was lifted in the air, un-moving.
Twisted Talon (Endgame voice): There is one Guardian I haven't check...FINE! LETS SEE WHAT FEARS SHE HAS!
It then swatted the others away with it's power. The twisted Rusher had lifted Jessica in the air, her eyes widen at what it was going to do.
Jessica: *Fear* WAIT! DON'T-
The twisted Rusher grabbed her and a blinding white light covered everything and everyone.
The fifteen Guardians uncovered their eyes and looked around.
Joseph: Why are we in a school?
Marty: Maybe this is her fear?
Endgames snarled was heard
Endgame voice: No this is not a fear you idiots! I have no Idea why she would show-
Voice: AND STAY IN THE HALL YOU FREAK!
The group turned to see a small girl with pig-tails walked into the hallway as the womens voice echoeed. The door slammed shut as she flinched, tears in her eyes.
Ash: Wait...is that?
The girl looked up, her blue eyes shimmering with her tears.
Ash: That's Jessica!
Everyone looked shocked. Why was she crying, was it because of that women yelling at her.
Young Jessica: I-I-I'm n-n-ot a -f-freak...I-I'm just b-born Like t-this...
She sniffled as the scene changed. They continued seeing their friend being yelled at and tormented by an older women, who looked like she should not have a teaching job in the first place.
Juniper: Why can't she see she's hurting her!
Jack: She does...she just doesn't care.
Finally the scene shifted to the outside of the Pittsburgh Steeler's stadium. They looked around to see what was going on until-
Young Jessica: LET'S GO BUCS! LET'S GO BUCS!
They saw their friend with her family. Jessica was laughing and smiling.
Jessica's Mother: This was a great idea to do while the new house is being set up.
Jessica's Father: Yep, you excited for the game?
Sarah: Yep!
Floyd: Of course! I'm pretty sure Jessi is ready.
Jessica jumped on her older brother laughing, along with her family. The scene shifted to them in their seats. Jessica ased if she can use the bathroom and her parents said yes. The next time the scene shifted, she was walking out of the bathroom when her mouth was covered and she was dragged outside. Jessica bit the hand and turned around...freezing. The Guardians Gasped when they saw who it was, it was that women that was tormenting their friend.
Women: *Grabs her wrist* Your coming with me freak!
Young Jessica: N-NO! W-why are you doing this!
Women: Because of YOU! You took all of my attention away from me! You got me fired! I wanted everyone aderation and then you showed up! A freaky brat like you should be DEAD!
Young Jessica: NO! NO! STOP!PLEASE! ANYONE!
Katie: LET HER GO!
All the Guardians were in tears as they continue to see Jessica scream and cry-
Jessica: STOP!
In a bright flash everyone was back...but horrified. The twisted Rusher looked at the person it had lifted into the air before that happened. Jessica was crying and waves of negative energy flowed around.
Twisted Talon (Endgame voice): So...she has no fear, but a bad past. She has already been broken. Well...with negative energy like this I say it was for a good cause.
Ish: YOU CALL THAT A GOOD CAUSE!
She turned to see the Guardians, enraged.
Tua: What we just saw was abuse! How could you think it was good!
Twisted Talon (Endgame voice): Please, like some of you humans don't think about that. This energy, this pain and agony of being treated differently...no wonder she and Peg-Leg kept her condition a secret, even to the other Rusherz and RZ.
Everyone froze
Dean: What are you talking about?
Aaron: S-She's fine...right.
Twisted Talon (Endgame voice): If having Attention Deficite Hyperactive Disorder is Fine to you.
The Guardians looked shock
Marty: She has what-
Troy: THAT'S NOT TRUE! SHE WOULD HAVE TOLD US!
Twisted Talon (Endgame voice): And then you would shut her out like the Rusherz?
Troy was about to retort...but stopped. Is that why she didn't tell?
Twisted Talon (Endgame voice): Face it guardians... You fail to realize that your own kind can be no better than Sudden Death, Zatu, or me.
Jessica wailed, the negative energy increasing.
Twisted Talon (Endgame voice): Oooo, she's a screamer too.
Marty: Jessica! Please calm down! We're not mad!
Jessica continued to cry. The others looked at eachother in fear and worry.
Hunter: Any better idea?
Ricky: There's got to be something or someone who can calm her down!
Ash thought for a moment...then gasped, that last memory...she was going to a Steeler/Bucs games which means that was where she met-
Ash: We have to contact Peg-Leg some how!
Troy: WHAT CAN PEG-LEG DO!
Ash was about to answer, when the Twisted version of Talon screeched in pain and dropped both Jessica and Talon. Everyone was in shock, till they saw what was behind the twisted Rusher. Peg-Leg stood there, glaring at the twisted version of Talon. It was then they noticed that his eye patch was off, however it was not gone...he still had his eye, but it was glowing a red color intensely.
Twisted Talon (Endgame voice): How did YOU get here?
Silence.
Twisted Talon (Endgame voice): I ask you a-
Peg-Leg: Leave...
Twisted Talon (Endgame voice): *Anger* What was that?
Silence again
Twisted Talon (Endgame voice): What did you say-
Peg-Leg: *Rage* LEEEEEEAAAAAAVVVVVEEEEE!
The ground shoke as he yelled it. The other Guardians were ligitametly scared at this as Talon shoke in fear, never seeing the Buccaneer in this much rage.
Troy: Whoa...
Peg-Leg started to walk towards Jessica, who was on the ground curled in a ball crying.
Twisted Talon (Endgame voice): What are you-are you serious?!
Kristie: PEG-LEG WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
Peg-Leg continued to walk to her. The Twisted Rusher growled and he screeched at him, only for Peg-Leg to richoce the blast with his sword. It froze, before he yelled in annoyance and continued to blast him, Peg-Leg knocking each blast away with his sword like it was nothing. At this time the other Rusherz came onto the scene, stopping and staring at what was going on as Talon quickly ran over.
Joseph: You guys might want to stay here...I don't think Peg-Leg wants help right now.
Stallion: I-We see...
Jack: Did you know his eye was red? The one behind his eye patch?
Spot: N-No...that's-we thought he didn't have an eye to be honest.
The twisted Rusher stopped and took a few steps back. Peg-Leg might have been dotted in ash from the blast but he was still going.
Twisted Talon (Endgame voice): What is wrong with you?!
Peg-Leg: You wanna know something...I been though HELL AND BACK with all the events that happened to me and me friends...me eye here was once blind until a Blitzbot raid came and took me family away from me, but in return a short circuit bomb caused me eye to regain it's sight but...how do YOU think the others would feel staring into an eye that reminds them of the foe who took their parents away. You, MINERVA, you can reminds me of the tragedies, you can take me Megacore...But *He stopped near Jessica and stared at the twisted in full rage; Yelling* YOU DO NOT HURT ME LIL' SISTER!
Peg-Leg sword glowed as he sent a slash wave towards it. It hit and the Twisted Rusher screamed as it glitched out. Peg-Leg sighed...then went to Jessica.
Peg-Leg: *Calm* Lass...Jess, it's okay. *Brings her up and hugs her* I'm here..
and at that the flash returned again, blinding everyone.
The Guardians recognized this scene immediately, as they were once again at the memory.
Juniper: Why are we here again?!
Freedom: Wait? You saw this too?
Ash: Wait...You guys were affected as well.
Beast: Yes and-
Jessica bit the teacher in tears as someone screamed her to stop, she screamed as she twisted her wrist but she took the chance to run away. She was in tears sobbing as she ran through the halls not knowing where she was going. She opened a door and slammed it shut, noticing she was in the Visitor locker room, before hiding in one of the lockers. She curled up and started to cry. The Guardians and Rusherz looked on at the scene in sorrow.
Stampede: Poor kid.
Marty: She didn't deserve any of this...
Ash: Wait...
A few moments later the lights were turned on and Peg-Leg walked in, a clipboard in hand.
Peg-Leg: I swear that lady was insane, hopefully the cops take her away from *Hears sobbing* Huh...what the-Hello! Anyone in here?
He heard a squeak of fear. He turned to one of the lockers, moving the uniforms behind and gasped when he saw Jessica. Jessica turned in tears to see him.
Peg-leg: Oh my gosh... How did you-
He was stopped when Jessica hugged him sobbing in fear. Peg-Leg froze, before hugging her back.
Peg-Leg: *Calm* Shhh, it's okay...I'm here, your safe now.
Everyone who was watching the scene frozen.
Blow-Torch: It's her...
Ash: I was right...this-this is when Jessica and Peg-Leg met. When he cheered her up.
The scene changed to them on a bench, Peg-Leg wrapping Jessica's, who was calm, wrist in a gauze. What made the Guardian flinch was the fact that it was the same wrist she wore her NFLR on.
Peg-Leg: *finishes* There we go, just a bit of bruising but it should be fine in a few weeks. You okay?
Jessica nodded.
Jessica: W-Who are you? Do you work for the Buccaneers?
Peg-Leg: *Softy smiles* Heh, work...I help basically found the team.
Jessica eyes glowed with intrigue.
Jessica: YOU HELP FOUND THE BUC!?
Peg-leg: Yep...The names Peg-Leg, I'm the Buccaneers Rusher.
Jessica: Rusher...I heard some people say that word. What's a Rusher?
Peg-Leg: It's the species me and me friends are. We help protect the cities and the Earth from our enemy the Blitzbots. We use to live on a planet called Coredalion.
Jessica: What happened?
Peg-Leg sighed as a tear fell from his patched eye.
Jessica: Y-You don't have to tell me if it makes you sad.
Peg-Leg: *Wipes his eyes* Thank ye. But enough about me, how about you? What brought you in here.
Jessica: You wouldn't want to know...I'm just a freak.
Peg-Leg: *Shock* WHO IN THE WORLD WOULD TELL YOU-*Pause, then remembers that women* It was that lady wasn't it? The lady I arrested and handed to the cops.
Jessica: She-She's gone?
Peg-leg: Long gone. And now I know what she was looking for, evil witch is just as bad as Sudden Death and Endga-*Shakes his head* And if you think your a freak, *He removes his eye patch reveling his red eye* This is what a freak-
Jessica: So cool...
Peg-Leg froze.
Peg-Leg: You-think it's cool
Jessica: Yeah! It's looks awesome! You can use it to see in the dark and it's a pretty red color too.
Peg-Leg smiled abit on that.
Peg-leg: T-Thank ye...That, really means alot to hear that.
Jessica: Sudden Death and the Endga person, Are they people who hurt you as well?
Peg-Leg: First one mentally...the second one, lets just say it's a touchy subject with the others.
Jessica: I understand...Jessica, My name is Jessica Riverstone.
Peg-leg: *smiles* Well it's a pleasure to meet you Jessica.
Jessica: *Smiles* It is an honor yo meet you Peg-Leg.
The scene went on, with them talking, Peg-Leg telling Jessica all about himself and the Rusherz, and then him reuniting her with her family.
Blow-Torch: I remember now...that women who the police told me about when I was waving down the cops, the one who was kidnapping a child and nearly killing her...It's her, wasn't it.
Tua: That's explains what happened to her information, Peg-Leg deleted it so she wouldn't get scared of how we would react with her condition.
There was one more scene left. Peg-Leg went to his knees and placed a dog-tag around her neck...the same one she wears to this day.
Peg-Leg: It's a lucky charm, so I will always keep you safe even if were states away. I will always keep my eyes on you, I promise.
I'LL ALWAYS WILL BE THERE..
And in a flash everyone was back. Peg-Leg was gently holding Jessica, who had a smile on her face, though tears fell too as she fell asleep. Everyone was left in shock.
Arron: Whoa...
Ish: That, explains everything.
Peg-Leg turned to them.
Peg-Leg: I sappose I have some explaining to do.
Liberty: You have no idea...
