As Lydia and Remy were walking hand and hand down a corridor they were stopped by the two mischief makers at Hogwarts.
"Tarantula girl!" George sang.
"No," Lydia groaned while Remy tried to stifle a laugh.
"Come in Lyd, we just need one potion, well two but it's the same potion." Fred begged.
"Listen there is no way any potion you make will pass Dumbledore's age line." Already knowing what they needed because, seriously, was four times not enough to understand that she wasn't going to make them a potion?
"That's why we aren't going to make it, you are." George winked while Lydia rolled her eyes.
"Alright, fine." Lydia gave up easily but not without a plan.
"Come on Remy we have a potion to make." Lydia took Remy by the bicep away from the twins.
"Are you any good at potions?"
"I'm wretched."
"Perfect," Lydia kissed him on the cheek, "we've got work to do."
Once in the side potions room Lydia started looking for ingredients.
"Are we allowed to be in 'ere?" Remy asked nervously standing in the corner.
"We? No. Me? Technically. I'm allowed to have this space to make wolfsbane for the full moon for me and my papa because I don't trust Snape, nor does my pere, especially not after last year."
"Okay zo many queztionz. Let'z ztart with what 'appened laz year?"
"Well, papa was a teacher last year, he went to school with my fathers, from what I know they didn't really like each other, I don't really know the extent of that hatred but the full moon happened, papa forgot to take wolfsbane, busy week, a few people were there when we turned, Snape told everyone about papa, and then this toad looking lady from the ministry made an awful law on werewolves." Lydia started setting up the ingredients.
"That'z awful," Remy looked hurt, laws on werewolves were a bit different than in the UK. Werewolves didn't have a registration, werewolves weren't heard of. If someone was found out to be a werewolf, they would be killed on sight, however they did need actual proof, werewolf hunting was still a sport there. Lydia was told by Remy that Greyback attacked him when he was nine, a year after Lydia was, Greyback was in France, from what Lydia gathered from papers he was there for a werewolf "reserve" which really just meant they would keep werewolves that they thought might have some type of useful information and Greyback was setting out to harm those who worked there.
"Yeah, it really is…" Lydia reflected for a moment, because of Snape Lydia would never be able to get a job in the wizarding world, Lydia and Remy wouldn't be able to make a life for themselves if anyone found out they were werewolves.
"You said you had more questions?" Lydia shook her thoughts out of her head.
"What iz wolzbane?" Lydia looked at him dumbfounded.
"You, you don't know what wolfsbane is?" Of course he doesn't, France does nothing when it comes to werewolves, but wouldn't his parents look into it? Lydia didn't know much about his parents but, wouldn't you want what's best for your kids? Whatever, it wasn't really Lydia's business anyway.
"Okay, not all of uz are potion prodigiez."
"No, it's not because of my potion skills, I'm shocked because it's for werewolves to help keep their state of mind during the full moon, your parents never told you about it?"
"No, that'z a thing?"
"Yeah, listen, I'll make you some for this upcoming full moon, I'll teach you how to make it, it'll be fine." Lydia was much more freaked out than Remy.
"Where am I going during the full moon here? I was just kind of taken here, our zchool didn't exactly give us a choice, we didn't even have a permizzion zlip."
"Wait, does madame Maxime know?"
"Let'z juzt zay, France doezn't take kindly to half-breedz of any kind, I know madame Maxime'z blood, zhe knowz mine. Blackmail iz a powerful creator."
"Is it bad that I think that's really hot?" Remy smirked and pushed her against one of the potions tables.
"No, but we do have to talk about what I am going to do during ze full moon." He gave her a kiss keeping her boxed in by Remy.
"What do you do at Beauxbaton?"
"I go home but I don't know if that'z pozzible here, thiz place is really ztrict when it comez to people coming in and out."
"Dumbledore is kind of weird about that but for a good reason, I'm not going to lie, but you know that house that was in Hogsmeade?"
"The, oh, um… Zhouting Zhack?"
"Close," Lydia smiled, "the Shrieking Shack."
"Izn't it haunted?"
"This school literally has ghosts everywhere, also no, it's not, it's charmed to where people will think it is but it's not. It's my house, kind of. It was originally built for my papa but now I use it. Madame Pomfrey takes me there and I transform there and then go to the hospital wing after and rest for a day or two."
"Wouldn't Madame Pomfrey realize I'm there?"
"Yeah, so?"
"I can't tell her!"
"Why not?" And then it hit her.
"I'll be killed." A singular tear fell from his baby face. Remy, while lanky, had a bit of chub and a baby face and Lydia really, really liked him. She reached her hand up to wipe his cheek.
"Come with me." Lydia got out of his arms, took his hand, and led him out the class room.
"Don't you have potions to make? Where are we going?"
"We won't be long, I'm going to show you something. The full moon is next week, I'm going to show you where I go. I'll show you how to get in, it'll be fine."
"Lydia,"
"Come on, you don't want to tell Pomfrey, fine, but this is for not only your safety but everyone elses."
"Don't the wolvez get really territorial?"
"Well, I never have with my papa, I don't really think so but to be completely honest I've done research on werewolves but most research done on us is about how to kill us so really I have no clue how werewolves are when we are wolves." Lydia stopped at the Whomping Willow, she looked around, nobody was there, she grabbed a rock, tossed it at the knob and the tree stopped.
"Come on." Lydia led the way under the tree, Remy was hesitant but followed the girl anyway.
"You talk about being a werewolf so openly, how? Aren't you afraid?"
"The whole secret of existence is have no fear."
"Swami Vivekananda."
"Well, are you going to take his advice?"
"No, because I am highly afraid of death."
"A fear of death-"
"If you're about to quote Mark Twain-"
"Follows from a fear of life. A man who lives fully is ready to die at any time."
"Merlin," Remy rolled his eyes with an amused smile on his face.
"Do you just have note cards on quotes or…"
"A magician never reveals his secrets, also we're here."
"What'z a magician?" But as Remy said that he looked up and saw the torn apart house but thought it was amazing.
"Thiz place is huge!" Remy exclaimed.
"I know, my family has always been really good about having large spaces for us but this place is honestly just a bunch of toys, look at the couch and chairs, the bed, everything here."
"There iz a piano, can you play zomething for me?" Remy asked sweetly.
"Okay." Lydia took a breath and started playing a simple melody.
"Those fingers in my hair," Lydia's voice was soft, her eyes were closed as she lost herself in the music.
"That sly come hither stare
That straps my conscience bare
It's witchcraft." Lydia took a short breath.
"And I've got no defence for it," her voice got heavier.
"The heat is too intense for it.
What good would common sense for it do?
'Cause it's witchcraft,
Wicked witchcraft,
And although I know it's strictly taboo
When you arouse the need in me,
My heart says yes indeed in me,
Proceed with what your leading me to
It's such an ancient pitch,
But one I wouldn't switch,
'Cause there's no nicer witch than you." Lydia opened her eyes with a smile. She always loved music. She looked at Remy, that's when her smile grew. Remy looked like he had just experienced the most amazing thing in his life.
"Allowed me to kizz you." Remy said as he placed his hand on Lydia's cheek. The red head nodded her hair turning slightly pink. He kissed her while they were sitting on the piano bench, it was soft, nothing was being rushed. Time was stopped, nobody else existed except the two of them. Lydia was the first one to stop the kiss.
"Can we go to the bed?" Remy nodded. They kissed on the short walk there. Lydia laid down on her back, Remy going on top of her. Lydia nor Remy could think straight. Remy slipped his hand under Lydia's shirt. Lydia pulled away quickly.
"Stop." Remy instantly took his hand away from her.
"I'm zo zorry." Remy instantly apologized.
"No, I-I liked it, I did, it's just I'm not ready for sex."
"Oh, Merlin! No! No, no, no, no, no! I don't want to have zex either. I just thought we were making out."
"Oh, yeah, yeah, I'd like that but, I also um, there are things that,"
"Lyd,"
"Okay, I know it sounds stupid but I'm really insecure about my body. I'm so skinny to the point that my ribs poke out, one of my ribs is still broken, where he bit me is on my side."
"I'm not going to make you do anything you are uncomfortable with but, juzt zo you know, I don't mind any of thoze thingz, if you think I'm going to hate you or zomething because of it, you're wrong."
"Thank you, I'm sorry, I made this really deep, but I would like to pick up where we left off." Remy smiled at her as she pulled him back down. Lydia's tongue begged for an entrance into Remy's mouth. Remy happily obliged. Lydia took Remy's hand and led it under her shirt.
"Are you zure?" Remy asked.
"Yeah." Lydia quickly responded going back to his lips. Remy's hands were warm and soft but slightly calloused. Lydia started to unbutton Remy's shirt when she asked if they could switch positions which he happily agreed because his arm was getting slightly tired from holding himself above Lydia. Lydia finished unbuttoning his shirt she started working on his neck, biting softly. Remy let out a low moan on accident and started blushing.
"Don't be embarrassed, mon chou." Lydia kissed her way back up to his lips. She gave him a quick peck.
"It means that your voice box is contracting because you're turned on." Lydia panted.
"Why do you know that?" Remy stopped kissing her.
"My dad owns a bookshop and I get bored easily." Remy shrugged, continuing to kiss his girlfriend. They only parted both of them to get off their shirts. Kissing for a while longer, Lydia laying on top of Remy, they stopped after Remy pulled away.
"Did you hear that?"
"It's an old house, of course it creaks sometimes, it's fine." They went back to kissing one another being drunk on each other, happily existing. Remy pulled away again.
"I think we zhould go, the creaking makez me uneazy."
"Okay, we should probably get back to make the potions anyway." Both of them stood up, started putting their shirts back on, and fixed their appearance
"What are you going to do with the twinz' potion?"
"I'm going to make an aging potion that works well enough that they can get past the aging line but it's going to wear off while they're in the age line and let Dumbles do the rest."
"You're evil."
"Thank you." Lydia had a wide smile on her face.
