The manic laughter that followed that statement sent shivers down Dipper's spine as his breathing and heart rate quickened. No, no no... not now. Not now!

A crash of lightning set all the nearby trees on fire, and Bill appeared in all his blazing glory. Other Dipper stepped back, eyes widening. He came to the only logical conclusion and assumed that this is Bill Cipher. Huh, he expected him to be a bit more intimidating, but all he could see was a yellow Will.

"Well, well, look at all my favorite people, all here in one place. Isn't this nice?" Bill summoned his cane and twirled it around. Ford glared at the demon. "What do you want, Cipher?!" He yelled. Bill laughed. "Nothing from you, Sixer. For once." And with that he chained everyone in the clearing with thick blue chains, and levitated all the Pines (Gideon included), as well as Paz and Will. The Gleeful twins were pulled to their knees. Their amulets began to glow, but with a snap of his fingers, the amulets were torn off the twins' neck and headband, straight into Bill's outstretched hand.

He took a moment to look at the twins, and from his expression they guessed what he was going to do, moments before he did it, their stomachs lurching. He crushed the amulets in his hand, all the magical power escaping in the form of a ghastly skull only to disappear into the night . The Gleeful twins screamed and cursed at Bill, but he paid them no heed as he sprinkled the remains to the ground.

"You monster!!" Other Dipper yelled. Bill laughed. "Not the first time anyone's called me that. Also, you're one to talk."

Other Dipper growled. Sure, he knew it was true, but the demon didn't have to go outright and say it. He struggled against his bonds. He used these on his own prisoners, but had no idea how uncomfortable they were.

"Let us go, Bill!" Dipper exclaimed. Bill laughed again. "Not a chance, Pine Tree. If I want to make Weirdmaggedon worldwide, I'll need the powers from these two." He explained.

Mabel cocked her head. "What? After all these years, you're still going after universal domination? You need to get a hobby." She said. Gideon turned to her in best way he could while levitating. "Is this what you guys have to deal with? And I thought the Gleeful twins were bad." He replied. Mabel shook her head. "Nah, this is, like, only the second time he's attacked."

Dipper rolled his eyes. "Can you guys please focus?!" He said. Ford nodded. "Yes, lets get back on topic." He turned to Bill, who was watching the exchange with slight confusion. "What do you mean, you'll need the powers from the Gleefuls? You crushed their amulets."

"What I mean," Bill explained, "Is that the amulets weren't all their power. The power they took from my counterpart is still in them. And with almost double the power that I have already, I'll be able to break through that stupid barrier and take over the whole universe!!"

"Wait, you've been planning this all along? Is that why you were so eager to send us here?" Other Mabel asked. Bill nodded. "Duh. I don't just do things for free." "I knew it." Gideon whispered to himself.

"Well," Bill said cheerfully. "Let's get this over with." He snapped and both the Gleeful twins screamed in pain as their powers were slowly ripped from their bodies, coming out in light blue tendrils. Paz struggled against her bonds at seeing Other Dipper suffer. "No! Let him go, let him go!!" She yelled.

Gideon watched the twins scream and felt, for the first time it seemed like, concern for them. Which was a weird feeling. All his life, he had hated the Gleeful's. They were always up to something, but he could never outsmart them. But now he wanted to save them. No one deserved that kind of pain. He tried to escape his bonds as well.

Other Dipper screamed in agony. It was unlike any feeling he had ever felt before. It felt like his very soul was being ripped from his body. His chest burned, his head feeling like it was going to explode, and an unbearable pain spreading everywhere in his body. He didn't even notice the tears streaming down his face and the sweaty sheen that had taken to his forehead.

Will watched the scene unfold before him. In a way, he was tempted to let it happen. The twins had been horrible to him over the years, they deserved every bit of pain they got. This was just karma slapping them in the face.

But he knew he couldn't. If Bill got their power, he would take over this universe and possibly more. But how could Will, of all people, beat this guy? He was just a lowly servant.

Dipper's voice filled his head.

You're a freaking dream demon! What's stopping you from blowing these guys to ashes?

Yeah, Will was a dream demon, just like Bill. Even if he was drained of most of his power, he still had enough to try to escape.

He focused on the chains as best he could, trying to tune out the screams around him, from the screams of the Gleefuls to the pleading from everyone else around him. The chains shook and with a burst of focused energy they broke open. He fell to the ground, miraculously landing on his feet.

He looked at Bill, seeing if he had noticed, but luckily he hadn't. He was too focused on the twins' power that started forming above them, swirling like its own galaxy.

Will panicked. He hadn't thought this plan through. What was he supposed to do after he broke through the chains?

Maybe he could free the others? No, that might take too long and Bill might notice.

Maybe he could attack Bill from behind? No, Will couldn't levitate on his own and Bill could disintegrate him with barely a snap.

What if.. what if he absorbed the twins' power? Then he'd be back to his original self, and he'd have a chance against Bill!

But how would he do it? Will watched in horror as the last of the Gleeful twins' magic was ripped from their bodies. They both slumped over, passing out almost immediately.

Bill laughed manically as he reached out to absorb the power. Will felt his heart drop to his stomach. If he wanted that power, he'd have to act fast. Time seemed to slow as Will stopped overthinking it, and just ran over to the tree that stood behind Bill, making sure not to be seen. He raced up the branches, climbing like he had never climbed before, almost like it was second nature.

Will felt the pressure to succeed on his shoulders. It was so heavy he wanted to just buckle down and cry, but he couldn't let that happen.

He arrived at the midsection of the tree, just a little bit higher than where Bill was levitating. Then, before he could chicken out, he jumped off towards Bill and shoved him out of the way, absorbing the powers himself.

Sorry for another cliffhanger, but this chapter gone on long enough.

I hope this is a good start to climax, but let me know if you have any concerns or complaints or anything. I also hope the whole "double the power to break the barrier" plan wasn't too tacked on. In all honesty, I had planned this for a while, but could never really fit it into any of the other chapters. Or at least, I don't think so.

Hopefully, it wasn't too fast-paced as well. This probably my first time writing a big climax like this, so I basically have no idea how to do it. I'm learning though.

Anyway, hoped you enjoyed the chapter, and I'll see ya later, entertainers!
