Robby pov

When I arrive back at camp only a few people are awake including Clarke. She sees me and I smile, but my busted lip makes it look lopsided. She gasps and runs up to me.

"Jesus Robby what the hell happened to you," she asks hysterically.

"Took a nasty fall," I say.

"You ran into grounders didn't you?" She says putting her hands on her hips.

"Rocks are a bitch. No grounders," I say smiling reassuringly.

She rolls her eyes and takes me to the dropship. However, I witness Raven and Finn in a big argument and she slaps him in the face then storms off. Clarke hangs her head in guilt.

"Don't be sad princess. It's his fault not yours," I say reassuringly.

She disregards what I said and asks me what I was doing in the woods.

"Bored," I shrug.

"Don't do it again," she says concerned.

"Sounds like you care," I say jokingly.

"Wouldn't want Octavia to kill me if you came back dead or injured to where I couldn't save you," Clarke says in a business tone.

Clarke cleans me up and bandages my head that has a gash on it from when Lincoln threw me down and I hit it on a branch.

"Don't worry your still pretty," Clarke says jokingly and even smiles slightly.

"Thanks princess," I say rolling my eyes.

I start to get up when Clarke stops me.

"Wait you need to stay for a little longer. I'll have to change your bandages in a few hours," Clarke says.

"Why can't I leave then?" I ask quizzically.

"Because I don't trust you not to get in trouble," she says.

I give her puppy dog eyes.

"Ugh fine, just don't leave camp," she says rolling her eyes.

I get up and leave. I grab a pack of rations in order to get some food in my system. I sit down with a sigh by the empty fire pit. Someone sits down next to me. I hope it's not Fox again. I get ready to get up and leave, but it's Bellamy.

"Hey," I say awkwardly.

"What the hell happened to you?" he asks gruffly.

"Oh ya know another day on the ground," I say and toss a twig in the nonexistent fire.

"You don't leave camp unless I give you the say so, got it?" He says in a authoritative tone.

"It's still about orders with you, isn't it?" I say looking at him annoyed.

"No Robby, it's about keeping us safe. If you want to die then be my guest," He says defensively.

"Sorry I'm just tired," I say.

"Just watch your back, alright? And don't do anything stupid, okay?" He says concerned.

I nod and finish my food.

"Alright Bellamy were you actually concerned about my well being or do you need something?" I suddenly ask.

"Both, I want your help training our gunners," he says.

I sigh and admit "Bellamy, I don't know how to shoot,"

"You will because I'm going to show you," he says.

He leads me to a clearing outside of camp. He teaches me the basics of shooting and it's hard, but I eventually get it down and am hitting the trees he tells me to aim for.

"Not that bad," I shrug.

"Yeah," he says smiling a little.

Something he and Clarke have in common is they rarely smile and when they do it's a small lip quiver. No teeth ever.

We walk back to camp and I see Octavia walking out of her tent.

"Morning Pocahontas," I say.

"Hey," she says groggily and stretches her arms in the air and yawns.

She freezes and looks again at my face. She grabs my cheeks which causes me to wince a little.

"Jesus Robby what did Lincoln do?!" She asks.

"Training," I shrug.

"What's he teaching you? How to get your ass kicked?!" She asks in disbelief.

"Relax I'm fine. He says it was some kind of test to track my endurance when it comes to combat," I lie holding my hands up before I fall victim to her short fiery temper.

Her lips start to thin and I can tell she's about to fume.

"O I promise I'm fine," I say putting my hands on her shoulders.

"Fine. If he does anything serious to you, me and him are gonna have problems," she threatens.

I smile and say "O you are a firecracker. That's one of the many reasons why I love you," I kiss her forehead.

"The grounders have a foreign language," I tell her.

"Lincoln says he's giving my body time to heal and he's gonna teach me the language," I say excitedly.

"Cool can you bring me?" She blurts out.

"O I don't want you to get hurt," I say worried.

"Well if the grounders come, I'll get hurt anyway," she says.

"Octavia no, I'll let you come and learn the language, but no combat," I finalize.

"Robby, I'm not taking no for an answer. If you say no, I'll just follow you," she retorts putting her hands on her hips and giving me a stern look.

I sigh in defeat because I know how stubborn she is.

"Alright fine, but no sparring. I teach you moves and if you spar, which you won't, it's with me, got it," I order.

"Thanks, love you," she grins and kisses me on the cheek.

"But there's a catch," I say and she stops.

"What?" She moans.

"It's really early and your grumpy in the morning," I flirt.

"Well you'll just have to be there to wake me up," she says smirking.

"Deal," I say grinning.

I spend the day helping Bellamy train gunners and avoiding Finn and Raven. I'm too pissed at Finn and I'm not in the mood for Raven's bullshit. That night after I finish my shift of watch, we're eating by the fire and Finn plops down next to me with a slab of meat.

"Hey brother, what's up?" He says awkwardly.

"What do you want?" I ask annoyed.

"I told Raven. She didn't take it so well," he says emotionlessly.

"I figured," I say shrugging.

"Look I made a mistake okay," he says defensively.

"What the hell were you thinking dude. Raven was not only your girlfriend, but also our best friend and you just didn't care did you?!" I say raising my voice.

"Of course I did!" He yells back.

"Then why'd you cheat on her?!" I scream.

A crowd starts to form. I don't even care that I'm making a scene.

"I didn't think I'd ever see her again and did you except me to wait around forever?!" He screams back at me.

"Well you didn't have to wait very long!" I scream and shove him.

He has an expression of pure hurt on his face.

"What, you thought you could just swoon around with the cocky expression on your face and the chicks would flock all over you? Then what? You just don't tell Raven?! is that it?!" I yell and shove him again.

"Yeah I fucked up big time Robby. You were a bullying piece of shit back on the ark, yet I was still friends with you. I saw beyond that! I saw the real you. The person you actually were instead of the guy that harassed and tortured other kids because daddy didn't love you!" Finn yells in pure anger.

Before I know it, my fist connects with his jaw. He grunts and stumbles backward. He touches his red cheek and then gives a look of pure anger before lunging at me. The crowd is chanting "fight!"

I would've had a better chance, but I was extremely beat up from this morning so he had me pinned and was kicking my ass.

Our short scuffle was broken up when we heard a voice yelling "BREAK IT UP NOW!"

Bellamy and Miller pulled us apart.

"You two idiots need to save it for the grounders!" Bellamy yells.

"He threw the firs—" Finn tries to yell.

"I don't wanna hear it! We can't fight each other when our real enemy is out there!" Bellamy yells pointing toward the woods.

"Now you two, SEPARATE! Robby go have Clarke check you out!" Bellamy says then shoves Finn away from the crowd. I sigh and walk with a very pissed off Clarke to the dropship.

She doesn't say anything as she restitches my reopened cuts and gives me clean bandages. I can tell she's too angry for words. When I leave the dropship I see Raven storming up to me.

"Raven, I don't wanna hear it!" I say putting my hand up and trying to walk past her.

"Picking a fight with your best friend solves nothing!" She yells hurt.

"And now I'm hearing it!" I say throwing my arms in the air.

"Robby you've always defended Finn and I no matter what and I'll always love you for that, but he's your best friend and you can't allow his mistake to ruin yalls friendship," she says softly.

"I'm sorry okay! I was just pissed off," I say.

"I care about both of y'all and seeing either of you hurt breaks my heart," I say.

She hugs me and I hug back.

"Get some sleep. Alright hero," she warns.

"Yes mother," I say jokingly.

I realize that I don't have anywhere to sleep so I sigh and head back to the dropship for another night in the hammock.

"Hey Robby, wait," I hear.

I turn to see Octavia walking up to me.

"I heard what happened are you okay?" She asks concerned as she caresses my cheek.

"Yeah I'm fine," I say with a broken voice.

I suddenly have a wave of depression and just want to go to bed. I start to walk away, but Octavia's next words make me stop.

"Do you... do you want to stay with me tonight?" She asks shyly looking down.

"Sure," I say as my happiness returns.

We go into her tent which is twice as big as the one Finn and I share and get into her two person sleeping bag.

"Bellamy made sure you got the best huh?" I say.

"Yeah I guess so," she shrugs.

Suddenly, she gets on top and starts kissing me passionately. I kiss back with equal desire. She removes her top and I take off my shirt and start kissing her neck. She moans quietly and then we proceed to make the most of our night, but she tries to be gentle because of my bruised body. All my sadness goes out the window as she lets me know through her actions that I'm not alone and am worthy of love.
