Summary: Angel and Salem search New York for Salem's stolen mystic essence.
In the Crete Fortress, the Lotus Ninjas marched their way to the Sonicruiser as they carried their individual suitcases.
"Road trip! Road trip! Road trip!" The Lotus Ninjas cheered with exciting smiles. "Road trip! Road trip! Road trip! Road trip!"
"Girls, we're just leaving for intense Dragoness training for one day!" Saldana said as she exited out of the Sonicruiser.
"Oh, we know." Ellie said. "We're still gonna think of it as our very first road trip!"
Lee approached Salem and Angel, who were leaning their back against the Sonicruiser.
"Thanks for holding down the fort while we're gone for our fun weekend." Lee said.
"Just don't forget to power up Phantom's power core into one hundred percent at all times." Donna added.
"Don't worry, ladies. Just enjoy yourselves." Salem assured.
"Come on, girls! Let's go!" Saldana ordered as she walked inside the vehicle.
Ellie, Ella, Donna, and Lee immediately ran inside the Sonicruiser.
Saldana waved her hand back and then put her hand up in the air to release white magic that formed a white star-shaped portal in front of the Sonicruiser. Ella pressed the petal and drove the vehicle through the portal, which then closed itself in a flash.
Angel and Salem gave each other high-fives with huge smiles.
"Oh yeah!" Angel and Salem cheered.
"We have the whole night for ourselves! So, what do we should do on this special day?" Salem asked flirtatiously.
Angel showed the screen in front of Salem's face that revealed a DIGG concert on her phone with a proud smile.
"To honor our special date, we're going to have fun at DIGG's secret concert downtown." Angel said. "After that, we can head out for pizza and milkshakes."
Salem's eyes glowed in violet light and transformed into his human form.
"Let's rock and roll, babe!" Salem grinned.
Angel and Salem imitated air strumming guitar with excitement as the DIGG played their Pizza Pit song inside the secret concert warehouse.
"Oh yeah!" Angel shouted.
"This music rocks!" Salem yelled.
Then, a mysterious figure managed to sneak past few people in the crowd held out a gold nautilus shell in the air. A pair of golden yellow magical hands appeared from the nautilus shell and reached into Salem's skin, taking his mystic aura away from him and sucking it into the shell. Violet light then enveloped Salem and he reverted back into his yokai form that quickly caught Angel's attention with wide eyes. Few people around Salem are looking at him with amazed faces, believing that his yokai form is his costume.
"Salem! You're in yokai form!" Angel shouted.
Angel quickly escorted Salem outside the warehouse.
"Uh no! I...I don't know what happened! My mystic aura is gone! I'm a full Yokai now!" Salem exclaimed in a panic.
"Don't worry, Salem. We gotta find that thief who stole your mystic pride and hunt them down." Angel declared.
"Too bad we can't call your mystic friends for help." Salem said.
Meanwhile, the Lotus Ninjas walked and looked around through an unknown hidden room that was filled with gothic-related theme on the walls.
"Remind me again why are we doing here?" Ellie asked.
"Mom and Grandma Raven sent us down here said to be part of a special training." Lee replied.
"I gotta hand it to Grandma Raven. She sure got some good taste in darkness." Ella commented. "More so than me. You know, in a good way."
"There's definitely some hidden stuff down here." Donna explained as she scanned the halls through her high-tech shield sunglasses. "So, whatever you do, don't activate..."
Ellie then accidentally stepped her boot on a pressure plate.
"The death trap." Donna said with a deadpan expression.
Ella and Lee glared intensely at Ellie, who laughed nervously at her mistake.
Suddenly, a series of death traps started triggering from the walls. Ellie, Lee, Ella, and Donna quickly dodged the flying platforms and multiple sets of crossbows with swift acrobatic flips and reflexes.
Then, the Lotus Ninjas fell quickly from the opening spike pit. But Ellie lifted herself and her sisters with psychic wind that prevented themselves from falling through. She then levitated herself and her sisters out of the spike pit.
"Thanks for the save, Ellie." Ella said.
"I get this is supposed to be some kind of special Dragoness training and all, but seriously, Grandma Raven needs to make it a freaking challenge." Lee said.
"Uh, I think we might have a challenge." Donna said with wide eyes.
"Huh? What are you talking about...?" Ellie asked.
Ellie, Lee, and Ella looked up at what Donna meant. Standing in front of them was a giant clockwork robot with six massive arms holding six giant swords. Donna, Ellie, Lee, and Ella quickly exchanged jaw-dropping expressions before drawing their magic out of their hands.
Back in the Crete Fortress, Angel searched around Donna's lab for any useful item until she finally took out a crystal ball that glowed brightly with tiny pinpoints of light like a starry sky.
"Found it!" Angel said. She placed the crystal ball on the desk. "This will seek the answer we need. Give us a thief's location."
The crystal started working in a swirl of ghost white mist that revealed an image of Channel Six building.
"Channel Six? Why would the thief be at that building?" Salem wondered.
"Beats me. But let's just go." Angel said.
Meanwhile, the door exploded with the robot flying out. The Lotus Ninjas finally defeated the giant robot as Lee stabbed its head with her tessen made of magical water.
"In your face!" Lee said.
"So, what do you think? Looks like a dead end." Ellie said.
"Yeah, maybe." Ella replied.
Lee, Ellie, Donna, and Ella walked around the room.
A sudden purple rose vine came wrapping around an unknown Ella and Ellie out of nowhere and tightened them, causing them to scream. Lee and Donna turned around to watch their mystic sisters getting lifted up in the air as a giant purple rose-like monster rose out from the shadows.
"What the?! This monster again?! Are you kidding me?!" Lee and Ellie exclaimed.
"You two face this thing before?" Donna asked.
"Doesn't matter now! Just use your magic and get us down!" Ella yelled.
"Roger!" Lee and Donna said.
Lee and Donna summoned their magic as they began charging towards the rose monster with game-on yelling.
Angel and Salem stood on the rooftop as they looked over the television station building.
Salem carried Angel in his arms and turned himself intangible, channeling an untouchable sensation through Angel. They phased over through the building rooftop and inside the production room. Salem's body went back to tangible and placed Angel down on his feet. They sneakily hid behind the curtain.
"Alright, Angel, if we're gonna find catch the thief, I can't expose my yokai form on live TV." Salem warned.
"Not to worry, Salem. I'll keep your yokai form safe." Angel assured. "Besides, it's not like the thief could show up right in front of us."
"Hell-o, New York!"
Angel and Salem quickly looked over the curtain to a beautiful female pop artist on live that revealed herself as Crimson Dazzler.
"On snap!" Angel whispered. "That's Crimson Dazzler!"
"Who?" Salem asked in confusion.
"Crimson Dazzler! She's that crazy dangerous bionic mystic the girls and I encountered before!" Angel explained.
Salem quickly noticed a gold nautilus shell necklace around Crimson Dazzler's neck.
"Uh no! She's using the nautilus shell!" Salem exclaimed.
"The what?" Angel asked in confusion.
"The nautilus shell. It's an enchanted object that carries potent magical abilities." Salem explained. "No doubt she used it to absorb my mystic essence and disguise herself to blend in with the human society."
Oriana looked down at her nautilus shell necklace with a convincing grin and looked back at the audience.
"That's right, ladies and gentlemen! Oriana Valentine is back and ready to make some tunes!" Oriana announced.
"But what about your last concert?" The male host asked. "Was it a freak accident that made you look somewhat robotic?"
Oriana recalled her skin turning robotic black on her concert. Even though the crowd cheer for the special effect with excitement, it wasn't part of her plan that day.
"Just some Hollywood magic that I managed to detail perfectly." Oriana replied with a smile. "But now that I'm back in action, it's time to discuss my new album I've been working!"
The entire audience cheered excitedly.
"How are we even going to get close to her?" Salem asked Angel. "I can't expose myself in front of that crowd!"
"I'm looking for inspiration to pull out my upcoming album. So, who wants to be my very first?" Oriana asked the audience.
Angel smiled at Oriana's question. She quickly a leather jacket and a black masquerade mask from the crate to disguise herself as a fellow volunteer.
"Madame Oriana, I would like to sing for my inspiration." Angel spoke as she walked up to Oriana with a microphone in her left hand.
"Oh, a rocker girl. Do go on." Oriana smiled. "Show me what you got."
Angel raised a rock and roll finger gesture in the air and started singing in an awesome rocking voice. Oriana nodded her head in enjoyment, unaware that Angel immediately snatch the nautilus shell necklace off her neck. Without the nautilus shell necklace's magical properties, Oriana's skin and eyes suddenly returned into her bionic mystic form that earned several shocking gasps from the crowd.
"I got it!" Angel beamed as she ran behind the curtain and showed Salem the nautilus shell necklace. "Let's go!"
Angel and Salem sprinted out of the room, leaving the confused Crimson Dazzler alone with the screaming audience. Crimson Dazzler took her compact mirror and gasped sharply at the sight of her face. She then looked back at the staring audience.
"Oh, um, some usual technical difficulties!" Crimson Dazzler spoke with an innocent wink. "Stay tuned!"
The applause sign was turned on, making the crowd cheer as Crimson Dazzler dashed out of the room.
Crimson Dazzler ran out through the door and saw Angel and Salem running away down the hall.
"Wait a minute!" Crimson Dazzler shouted in recognition. "You're that girl who was running from those mystic ninjas!"
Angel and Salem quickly ran into an empty production room as Crimson Dazzler chased after them. Crimson Dazzler stomped her right boot on the ground that sent a large transparent pink sound wave to knock Angel and Salem to the wall. They quickly dashed themselves behind a desk.
"I'm so sorry, Salem. None of this would've ever happened if I hadn't dragged you out." Angel apologized sadly.
"Are you kidding me?! You're amazing, Angel. Who cares about the unexpected side effect of our whole date. This has been one of the most exciting nights of my life!" Salem smiled. "Now, let's go take that washed up pop star down."
Angel took out her mystical katana sword and started firing large black energy waves in a rapid-fire succession. Crimson Dazzler evaded the rapid energy waves while launching dark pink sound energized spheres to attack the black energy waves. Salem then rotated his right hand in a circle to create ten black arrows with a shadowy violet aura and sent them flying straight to Crimson Dazzler, making her fall to the floor.
"This is way more fun than that concert!" Salem declared.
"It's not over today!" Crimson Dazzler said as she got herself back up on her feet. "Hand over that necklace or I'll be shredding you both with my music magic!"
Angel and Salem exchanged smug smirks, knowing that they ain't going down that easily. Salem leapt backward into the air and landed on his knees, firing six ghostly purple energy beams from around his body. Angel then leaped in and released six black energy waves from her katana sword. The two-way combo ran straight towards Crimson Dazzler in an explosion. Crimson Dazzler groaned in defeat as she laid around the mops in the cleaning closet.
Angel and Salem kissed each other with proud smiles.
"Best Date Night Ever!" Angel and Salem cheered.
Meanwhile, a white star-shaped portal opened itself into the garage. The Sonicruiser drove straight out of it as the Lotus Ninjas and Saldana returned from their road trip. They exited the vehicle and noticed Angel and Salem standing from the doorway.
"Hey, girls. How was your trip?" Angel asked.
"It was great." Saldana responded.
"Yeah, greatly painful!" Lee shouted as she and her sisters walked out of the garage with painful injuries.
"Well, we're hitting to the spa room for a full-on treatment." Saldana said. "You two have fun tonight."
As Saldana followed her daughters into the spa room, Angel and Salem high-fived each other.
"Oh yeah! Another round of date night!" Angel and Salem cheered.
