[It's fixed :) ! Thank you all for the reviews and suggestions, keep them coming! Kinda running low on ideas so I'd really appreciate some off you, also gives you guys the context you want. BTW, I know you've all seen Teen Titans and on Lightspeed, Kyd isn't really that shorter than Wally, but I have explained in a funny way! Hopefully!]
Now that Elliot Knight couldn't teleport for a week,he was absolutely, insufferably miserable. He hadn't moved at all from the Wally West's comfy double bed since he groggily awoke at twelve AM that day, when he heard Kid Flash and Jinx chattering excitedly in the spacious living room of their modern apartment. He had unfortunately heard the irking news that he'd have to be a whole week without any of his precious powers and that it was no delightful knowledge that he'd teleport more people. That wasn't required whatsoever. He was perfectly content with merely teleporting himself and occasionally pressing close to someone else to teleport them with him too. He hissed frustratedly and buried his pale face in the soft duvet, simply ignoring the slightly important fact he was actually struggling to breathe. Elliot then heard agog footsteps and elated chatter as he keenly heard Jinx saying something about going to a sleepover and her wishing them farewell. Rapidly, Wally pelted fairly eagerly over to his messy bedroom, though Elliot assumed it was to probably to check up on him. The plain door swung open keenly and locked after the agog speedster. Elliot heard him pause and stare curiously at his own limp posture, flopped on his stomach with his pale face obscured in the comfortable blanket, unsure whether Elliot Knight was deeply asleep or not.
"Ellie? Are you awake?,"Flash enquired concernedly, listening into an observant silence before continuing,"You aren't sleep purring."
Wally reached the sturdy double bed and sat next to him, gently placing a hand on Elliot's back. He sighed and absentmindedly brushed through Elliot's black smooth hair, untangling it tenderly. Flash seemed completely content with petting his luxurious locks, smiling affectionately as his pale companion started purring pleasedly, though it seemed to have a miserable tension to it. Elliot let his amber eyes shut gradually, relaxed and serene. Wally pulled his hand back gently, testing curiously to see if he was actually asleep or not and nodded knowingly to himself as the content purrs died out swiftly afterwards.
"El. I know you're awake. Do you know? Is that why you are like this?,"Flash requested concernedly, yet also curiously.
"Yes I know. I'm not going to my job or even going out,"Elliot hissed bitterly.
"What? Just cos you can't teleport?,"Wally West exclaimed incredulously,"Wow. I actually think this is good. You depend too much on your powers, Ellie!"
"Shush. I just don't want to go out. The point is I don't have my cape to fight with or my powers to escape with. I mean, I'm sure I'd be okay with just normal fighting but I don't know that...I wish I didn't have to do this. I'm perfectly fine teleporting like I could,"Elliot replied cantankerously, before muttering quietly,"I don't want to go out."
"You'll be cooler with cooler powers,"Kid Flash goaded gamesomely.
"No I won't,"he grumbled moodily.
"You'll be super powerful,"Flash tormented playfully.
"Shut up, Wally,"Elliot Knight hissed sourly.
Wally West smirked teasingly and began shoving Elliot off his comfy bed, though he was making it considerably difficult for him by his insolent refusal to even start to cooperate. Wally frowned annoyedly and pushed a little harder, whilst still attempting to be gentle. Though that genuine, generous will was soon going away. Elliot merely clutched the soft duvet tightly, leaving a piqued Flash to inhale composingly.
"El. Get up please,"he prompted hopefully.
"No,"Elliot snapped simply.
Wally West's face lit up and turned into a wicked smirk as he warned mischievously,"I'll force you off."
"You can't. You wouldn't hurt me,"Elliot snickered overconfidently.
"I'm not going to hurt you. I'm going to make you uncomfortable,"Wally said puckishly, sniggering already.
"Pfft. Do your worst,"he hissed amusedly, although still unnerved.
"Well. If you want,"the gamesome speedster taunted sneakily.
Oh, Elliot Knight was going to regret this.
Elliot stiffened uneasily as Flash started to mess with his sensitive, pointed ears, playfully fiddling and twiddling them, like delicately twisting and bending them, which was immensely horrible, to say the least. He hissed vehemently, especially as Wally tugged gamesomely on them, heinously knowing the practically tangible discomfort he was inflicted upon the former villain. Flash then began flapping them around, feeling Elliot tense and shiver unsettledly. Finally, Elliot couldn't handle the awful discomfort and jolted away uneasily, rubbing his elvish ears as he glared uncomfortably at a boisterously laughing Kid Flash.
"Never ever do that again Wally, or I swear you'll pay,"Elliot Knight hissed fervently.
"Huh. But it worked, didn't it?,"he teased amusedly, dragging Elliot to their now shared wardrobe.
He handed him a black, designer t-shirt as well as some plain, grey khaki shorts as he grinned roguishly. He winked mischievously and pelted out of his own, unorganised bedroom, locking it securely behind him.
After a few minutes, Elliot Knight came out, glaring grumpily with Kid Flash's chosen attire. Flash merely smirked and steered him near the plain door, perhaps, just maybe abusing the pressing fact he couldn't teleport away and would never possibly hurt him. Elliot attempted to pull back his arm but Wally held on too tightly and snickered at a struggling Elliot Knight.
"No! This isn't fair! Wally! I don't want to go outside!,"he hissed irritatedly.
"Nope. I'm gonna make you come and cos you can't teleport away and won't fight me...you can't say no to anything,"Wally snickered triumphantly.
Elliot hardened and sighed defeatedly,"I hate you, Wally. You're such a jerk sometimes."
"Huh. Right. Remember when you said 'you're my best friend, Wally, you really are'? Doesn't sound like you hated me then, does it?,"he teased amusedly.
"I didn't mean that,"Elliot hissed indignantly.
"But you still said it,"Flash taunted victoriously.
"I. Was. Lying. It meant nothing,"he countered defensively.
"Sure. Keep telling yourself that,"Wally West teased mockingly, before softening and continuing brightly,"But anyway, where do you want to go?"
"That's the thing, Wally. I don't want to go out,"Elliot Knight snapped irritatedly, yanking his pale arm back rapidly
"Well. You will, so that's the point,"Wally sniggered dismissively, merely strongly grabbing his pale arm again.
Elliot groaned sourly as Flash dragged him eagerly down the voluminous stairs of their vast apartment building. It was so odd for the poor former villain- he was used to merely just teleporting away. Eventually, Wally had successfully dragged Elliot to the floor level and Elliot was fervently sympathising people who walked down there daily: his legs were already aching from the pure amount of the tremendous effort it took to descend on the practically countless steps. Kid Flash wrenched him out into the bustling streets, completely ignoring Elliot's weak, irked objections. Wally West beamed delightedly unlike Elliot Knight, who was scowling darkly. Flash spun around and sighed exasperatedly at his pale companion's jittery, piqued demeanour.
"Awh, c'mon, Ellie! Can you at least try and smile?,"Wally requested hopefully, finally letting go of his arm,"You know. I just want you to be happier and I want you to feel that you did a good job picking to just be what you want, instead of being a villain still. I would never let anyone hurt you or anything, so can you please trust me?"
"Wally, of course I trust you! And when I said we weren't best friends, I may have been lying...just a little. But...I'd feel safer with my magic…,"Elliot confessed sheepishly, not noticing when Wally West smiled contentedly.
Flash trapped him in an appreciative embrace, feeling him pur affectionately into his chest and for once returning the friendly hug as he wrapped his arms around him too.
"Maybe I will do something with you,"Elliot said quietly, his voice smothered against his chest.
Gently, Wally pulled him back with his own hands still on the former villain's shoulders and smiled broadly at him, only to be greeted with another jovical smile from his dear best friend. Flash swiftly took the time to notice the gradual changes in Elliot's unusual appearance: he had definitely grown taller, though of course he was still shorter than him but at least he was around about Wally's shoulders now; his silky, black hair was beginning to grow even longer, (now lower than his shoulders); his once noticeably crooked nose was slightly more subtle. Wally hummed joyfully and removed his hands, leaving a widely smiling Elliot to watch curiously.
"You've grown taller. About time I guess,"Kid Flash teased playfully.
"Hey! I'm not short! I have never been short! Remember at the powerplant? I was only few inches below you!,"Elliot Knight hissed defensively.
Flash cleared his throat and explained snickeringly,"Yeah. But the thing is. That was a year ago. And. Everyone has grown taller in a year's time. I'm way taller than I was when I fought you at the powerplant at your base when Jinx got the Brotherhood Of Evil involved. Jinx has got taller. Literally everyone has got taller. I've seen Seemore, he's up to your chin now and Jinx is literally the same size as you, when before you towered over her. So. You are literally the only one who hasn't grown in a year. You may have been tall last year compared to everyone else, like towering over everyone, except Billy and Mammoth obviously, but it's been a year and everyone but you has grown. So what do you expect? Even Seemore is going to be taller than you soon. You're short. Deal with it."
"I'm not short!,"Elliot exclaimed embarrassedly, suddenly realizing himself how everyone had had a growth spurt except himself.
How had he not noticed how Seemore, his once immensely small friend, was getting to his own height now? Or that Jinx was frighteningly the same size as his own presently? Even that last year he had only been a few inches shorter than Wally, he was now around a head shorter? How was it even possible to go from really tall to really short? In one year?!
Anyway, the two roommates continued walking cheerfully, one greatly amused and the other looking mortified.
"Sure, El, whatever you want to think. Anyways-,"Wally began.
However, he was rapidly interrupted. Elliot Knight fell clumsily to the uncomfortable ground, grimacing frustratedly as that hadn't been of natural occurrences. That had been his ever so delightful colleague, the cataloguer at the quaint library, Emily Willaims, who had finally managed to trip him up. Wally's head snapped to the unkindly sneering young woman and he scowled outragedly.
"Do you have a problem, miss?,"he spat protectively.
Eliot stumbled to his feet resignedly and placed a cajoling hand Flash's shoulder as he ushered darkly,"Leave it. She works at the library too and does this loads. Just leave, okay?"
Wally shook his head vigorously and stood in front of him gallantly. Elliot chose to merely ignore Emily's continual mouthing of offensive insults, but Kid Flash noticed and only became more enraged by the second. He adamantly ignored the former villain's pleas for him to leave and finally flared as she mouthed a not-very-child-friendly word.
"You have no right to do that! You can't just do that because of how someone looks!,"Flash shouted protectively.
"Oh really? And what are you going to do to stop me?,"she jeered mockingly.
Elliot Knight tugged on the back of Wally's collar to drag him away but he gently pulled his arm back and placed a vehement hand on Elliot's shoulder. The usually upbeat speedster was uncharacteristically passionate, which slightly unnerved Elliot.
"Ellie. Tell me. How long have you let her bully you?,"he enquired fiercely, leaving Elliot stuttering incoherently.
"You really think that $* #! will tell you? He's too much of a $* #! to do anything!,"Emily tormented cruelly.
"Listen here-,"Flash started furiously.
Elliot (while admittedly going on his tiptoes) clamped a pale hand over his mouth with a hard expression and firmly dragged him away, dampening as he easily heard her continually snigger heartlessly. Wally West allowed him to be led away, watching with wide eyes at his best friend's unfathomable expression. Eventually, Elliot tentatively removed his pale hands and they lapsed into a tense silence as Wally followed him in a small coffee shop. They sat together at the back, Elliot staring elusively at the uninteresting floor. He knew he had explaining to do. Wally gently placed his hand over Elliot's, still mortified how his pale companion could merely allow himself to be mistreated.
"El, I can't believe you wouldn't tell me. You say you don't like going outside without your powers, but I don't think that's what only puts you off,"Flash sighed worriedly.
Elliot laughed mirthlessly and replied dolefully,"No. Yes. Maybe. I don't know. Wally, it happens all the time, so I didn't think it mattered. So...don't care about it, okay? It was nothing. I'm sorry you had to see that but it isn't bad. I've had worse."
"I- I never knew it was that bad, Ellie. I always knew people were idiots sometimes but I never thought…,"he breathed horriedly, rubbing his own thumb over his pale knuckles.
"Well like I said. Don't care,"Elliot dismissed joylessly.
"But I do. I do. Look, do you want coffee?,"Flash asked concernedly, standing up at Elliot's melancholy nod.
Elliot Knight watched as he left and sighed resignedly as he cupped his pale face in his hands. This had been exactly what he'd desired to elude. He had known Kid Flash would react overly traumatised about these little incidents. They happened countless times. What was there to expect otherwise if you are a weird half demon? Swiftly, Wally West returned with two fresh coffees and one chocolate cookie for Elliot. Flash passed him Elliot's piping hot drink and sneaky treat and sat across him as the former villain non-committedly fingered the sweet biscuit.
"Can you look at me?,"Wally said fervently, laying his own hand over the former villain's again.
Elliot hesitantly looked up and Flash continued determinedly,"You know why I care? Because people only see the looks. They don't see the real you, the one that is funny, kind and just my best friend. I mean, I know you're super short but apart from that you're perfect, okay? So next time someone bullies you, tell me"
Elliot laughed defeatedly, and with a small agreeing nod, and eventually gave in to the gamesome speedster's vastly biased view. Oh well. He supposed that is what your best friend is for. He nibbled contentedly on the chocolate cookie and awaited curiously as Kid Flash leaned in with a mischievous smirk.
"I mean. I bully you. But I'm a special bully. I get away with it. So that makes me the most handsome, kindest, bestest bully ever, right?,"Flash teased amusedly, seemingly now soothed from his outraged passion before.
Okay, so maybe he had a point.
Admittedly, Wally West truly was the best bully to have.
