Chapter 34
"They say bad things happen for a reason
But no wise words gonna stop the bleeding (…)
And when a heart breaks no it don't breakeven even, even... no." – The Script.
The next hours passed like a blur for both Ichigo and Rukia.
Rukia could barely remember the police sirens and the ambulance arriving after Ichigo called his father. When they took her brother out of the car she fought with teeth and nails to get on the ambulance with him. They let her go and Ichigo joined her, the space was crowded but the people inside the ambulance didn't say anything about it, they started the treatment on Byakuya while Rukia kept holding her brother's hand.
Ichigo had never seen her crying like that, it was heart wrenching to an untold degree.
You better survive Ichigo thought while looking at the unconscious form of Kuchiki Byakuya you cannot leave her like this, I won't forgive you if you're not at our wedding.
"We´re almost at the hospital" one of the paramedics said through the radio "prepare a room and get two nurses, we have two wounded teenagers with us."
Ichigo braced himself, he didn't want to imagine Hisana-san's face the moment she were to see Byakuya.
"Breathe, please" Kurosaki Isshin said and Hisana took a deep breath.
He called the mansion and informed her that Ichigo, Rukia and Byakuya were involved in an ugly car crash. After the call the chauffer took her along with Kuchiki Ginrei towards the hospital where they were waiting for the ambulance to arrive. No one gave details about what happened or how injured they were, but Hisana knew deep inside her that this was her father's doing, there couldn't be another explanation.
"Hisana" Ginrei said while putting a comforting hand on her shoulder "it'll be okay."
No, it won't Hisana thought. Not unless they could caught Makoto, why couldn't her father leave them?! Why?!
"They're here" Isshin said and ran towards the ambulance.
Hisana was frozen on the spot as she saw the paramedics helping Ichigo get down from the ambulance. She gasped as she saw how there was blood on his forehead and there was an obvious, open wound on his arm and judging by his pose he was in pain. The orange haired teenager exchanged a few words with his father and then both Kurosakis helped Rukia to get out of the ambulance, Hisana couldn't help it anymore and ran towards her.
"Rukia!" she yelled and one of the paramedics stopped her before she could reach her.
"Sister!" Rukia said while looking at her and to everyone's surprise Rukia started to sob hard when she saw her. The paramedic let go off Hisana as Rukia threw herself at her sister.
Hisana hugged her as if her life depended on it.
"It's okay" Hisana said as she started to cry too "don't cry, I'm here, I'm here."
"We need space, please" one of the paramedics said as they took out of the ambulance the stretcher with Byakuya on it.
Hisana whimpered as she saw her husband being taken towards the operation room, without even thinking let go off Rukia and ran towards the stretcher.
"Miss, please" one paramedic said impatiently "we need to take him…"
"Byakuya-sama" Hisana sobbed as she caressed her husband's face "Byakuya-sama you cannot do this to me, you cannot leave us, you cannot leave me! Byakuya-sama, wake up! Wake up!"
Hisana's tears fell on Byakuya's face and Rukia grabbed her sister's arm and pulled her away from the stretcher. This time Rukia hugged her so she could cry freely. Ginrei approached them then, both sisters hugged him and he fought against the lump on his throat, he needed to be there for both of them.
Ichigo and Rukia were taken towards a room were Unohana, of all people, treated their wounds. Hisana kept them company and Ichigo didn't dare to look at her directly, her face was a mess because while she wasn't sobbing anymore she was still crying. Silent tears were rolling down her cheeks and her hands were trembling.
"Now" Unohana said patiently "you both have minor injuries, you need lots of rest and you'll have to stay tonight at the hospital for observation."
"I feel fine," Rukia lied through gritted teeth "I want to see Nii-sama."
Unohana smiled kindly at her.
"You'll have to wait" she said apologetic "he's under treatment at the ICU right now."
Hisana cleared her throat.
"Rukia" she said seriously "listen to Doctor Unohana, please."
Rukia clenched her fists and nodded.
"I'll leave you alone" Unohana said "I'll assign a room shortly, okay?"
"Thank you" Hisana said and Unohana left the room.
Ichigo gulped. He knew what was coming and he didn't want to get between Hisana-san and Rukia, besides Ginrei-sama was alone while waiting for some news on Byakuya.
"Why aren't you with Nii-sama?" Rukia asked suddenly and Hisana stiffed.
"I wanted to" Hisana said as more tears welled in her eyes "but I wasn't allowed, don't you want me to be with you? If you're feeling better we can go to where Ginrei-sama is."
"Carrot top," Rukia said "go with grandpa."
Ichigo blinked.
"Midget, I don't think that…"
"Go" Rukia interrupted him and looked at him harshly "grandpa shouldn't be alone right now and I have something to talk with my sister."
Ichigo had a sudden flashback of Makoto and sighed heavily.
"We'll be with you in a moment, Ichigo" Hisana said smiling sadly at him "go with Ginrei-sama."
Ichigo nodded and left the room.
When Ginrei saw Ichigo approaching him he knew what was happening. He shook his head slightly as he smiled at the orange haired teenager.
Ichigo had always admired Ginrei, he was calm and collected even at a time like this.
"Ginrei-sama" Ichigo said "how are you feeling?"
Ginrei chuckled.
"You're the one who was in a car accident, son" he said and patted Ichigo on the shoulder "yet here you are, worrying about me."
Ichigo sighed.
"Ginrei-sama" he said while scratching the back of his head awkwardly "I'll tell you what happened."
"Please do," Ginrei said while walking towards the cafeteria with Ichigo "I think that you also deserve to know a couple of things."
Hisana looked at Rukia, she was clenching her fists while looking angrily at her lap. She was breathing heavily and Hisana could tell that this was going to be a loud conversation, it was bound to happen sooner or later so preparing herself for her sister's outburst she whipped her own tears and took a deep breath.
"Makoto" Rukia started "that's our father's name."
"Yes" Hisana acknowledged.
"He is alive."
It wasn't a question and Hisana cursed her luck.
"Why don't you look at me, Rukia?" Hisana questioned "it'll be easier to talk like that."
Rukia looked at her sister and Hisana crossed her arms.
"Our father is alive" Rukia said angrily "you lied to me! You told me he died in an accident along with our mother!"
Hisana nodded.
"Why?!" Rukia asked standing up.
"Isn't it obvious?" Hisana asked while fighting back her tears "I wanted to protect you! You're my only sister!"
Rukia chuckled darkly.
"Protect me from my own father?!" she asked "why?!"
Hisana scoffed.
"Yeah, why?!" she barked "I mean, he's such a nice person, isn't he? Tell me, how was your car ride with him today? Uh? Something tells me that he was there with you, am I wrong?"
Rukia looked aside, her chest ached as she remembered her brother's state.
"So it was really him, uh?" she asked barely whispering.
"He's been following us for a while" Hisana admitted "I wanted him far away from you, but I failed."
Rukia ran a hand through her hair and groaned.
"Is it true?" Rukia asked "you were the one who left me at the orphanage?"
Hisana sighed heavily.
"Tell me everything he told you" she ordered as she approached Rukia "then I'll tell you my version."
Rukia looked at her sister defiantly.
"And after you hear everything I have to say" Hisana said while mustering some courage "you'll choose for yourself what to believe."
Rukia nodded, it was a fair deal.
"So that was really Rukia's father?" Ichigo asked surprised "now I understand why Byakuya wanted me to keep an eye on the midget."
Ginrei nodded as he took a sip of his coffee. He observed as Ichigo digested the information he just gave him, nothing too personal of course. He just told him that the man that attacked them was Rukia's father and that he was, obviously, a man that couldn't be trusted. He told him how Hisana had been running away from him ever since Rukia was born and that now, for some reason, he was back and he wanted something from his daughters.
"Why was Hisana-san running away?" Ichigo asked.
Ginrei sighed.
"You've were blessed with a loving responsible father, son" he said "Hisana and Rukia didn't have that luck, although I cannot tell you everything, that's up to Hisana."
Ichigo nodded as he remembered the day he met Rukia, the little girl with extremely unique eyes wearing rags. He gulped, he really wanted to know what was happening but he would have to wait. He had told everything to Ginrei but, for the time being, nothing could be done. Finding Makoto was going to be impossible after this, he probably thought that Byakuya was dead and, considering how he didn't want to end up in jail, he wouldn't be showing himself in quite some time. Ichigo was going to suggest something regarding Rukia's father when someone called his name.
"ICHIGO!" Someone yelled and when he looked at the cafeteria's entrance he saw Renji.
"Renji?!" Ichigo asked shocked.
The redheaded boy ran towards him and Ichigo stood up, he wasn't ready for Renji to throw himself at him and hug him. Ichigo winced in pain but hugged his best friend back without hesitation. It was weird for Renji to be this effusive. Much to Ichigo's surprise Kaien stepped into the cafeteria just seconds later, followed by Ishida, Chad, Tatsuki and Orihime.
"COUSIN!" Kaien yelled and joined the hug.
Ichigo winced again.
"What the fuck are you all doing here?!" Ichigo asked while trying to ignore his aching body.
"Your father wrote to Renji," Tatsuki explained "we were worried sick."
Orihime nodded and Ichigo noticed how she was holding Ishida's hand.
"We were all shocked!" she said and then smiled "we're glad to see that you're okay, Kurosaki-kun!"
Ichigo found himself smiling at his friends.
"Thanks" he said and then noticed how Riruka stepped into the cafeteria.
It was evident how the pink haired girl was holding back her tears. Ginrei stood up and smiled at her and to everyone's shock, she didn't hesitate to run towards him and hug him. Ginrei patted her head kindly as she started to cry, it was such a weird scene that Tatsuki and Orihime exchanged a bewildered face.
"She's okay," Ginrei told Riruka "if she sees you crying she'll bully you the rest of her life."
Riruka took a deep breath.
"Then just don't tell her" she said and then let go off Ginrei "where is she?"
"She's speaking about something important with Hisana" Ginrei explained "but it's good that you're here, she'll need you."
Riruka huffed.
"Of course!" she said wiping her tears "that's why I came here, the loser is lost without me."
Ginrei chuckled and then looked at the group.
"Thank you all for being here, really."
Everyone nodded and Ichigo thought that he was really lucky to have such amazing friends.
"Excuse me" a nurse said approaching them "I'm looking for Kuchiki Byakuya's relatives, he's awake and he wants to see his family."
Ichigo's eyes widened as he smiled.
Byakuya was alive.
When Byakuya woke up he demanded to talk with his family immediately. He was in a great deal of pain but he couldn't care less, he wanted to see Hisana and he wanted to make sure that Rukia was okay. He was glad to see that he could move all of his limbs, he didn't have any memory loss and while he was going to be under strict and constant vigilance in the hospital he wasn't complaining, he was alive and that was all that mattered. Besides, now he knew that Makoto's objective was to take Rukia with him to Kyoto, that wasn't going to happen of course, but he needed to inform Hisana as soon as possible.
He wasn't ready for Abarai Renji and Riruka to step into the room, both teenagers were crying as if someone dear to them was dying.
Byakuya was confused.
"I'm sorry, Sir!" a nervous nurse said while following them "I told them that only family members were allowed!"
Byakuya noticed how his grandfather and Kurosaki Ichigo stepped into the room too.
"We're family!" Riruka said while clenching her fists "his little sister is basically my sister so he's like my brother too!"
Byakuya blinked, he tried to find something coherent against to that statement but nothing came to mind.
"And you?" the nurse asked Renji.
"Well…" the redhead started nervously "this asshole" he said pointing to Ichigo "is his soon to be brother in law and I'm like a brother to him so we're basically brothers too! Besides I grew up playing around his mansion!"
The nurse raised an eyebrow, she wasn't buying his act.
"I also had a crush on his wife when I was eight" Renji ended up lamely and Ichigo started to laugh.
"It's okay" Byakuya said finally "they can stay."
The nurse nodded and left the room mumbling something to herself.
Ginrei wanted to say something about how glad he was to see Byakuya awake but Renji, who was obviously pretty emotional, won the race and he stood up next to Byakuya and grabbed his hand.
"I'm so glad you're alive! I'm so glad!"
Byakuya sighed.
"Abarai Renji" he said coldly "please, stop crying. It takes more than a simple car crash to kill me, you on the other side don't have the same luck. What was that about you having a crush on my wife? Why is this the first time I hear about this?"
Renji blushed and stepped back.
"Idiot" Riruka said smirking "well, I'm also glad that you're alive."
Byakuya looked at her, it was weird to see a girl with Riruka's personality crying.
"Why?" Byakuya asked "were you planning to move into the mansion so Rukia wouldn't be alone?"
Riruka nodded as more tears welled in her eyes.
"She adores you!" she said accusingly "had you left her alone she would've been devastated! Don't you dare to die or I won't forgive you!"
Byakuya sighed heavily and then looked at his grandfather.
"Byakuya, I didn't know you had so many brothers and sisters" he said jokingly "perhaps I should update my will."
Byakuya frowned at that and Ginrei chuckled.
"Well, I'm glad that you're awake" he said finally "Ichigo was worried sick too."
Byakuya looked at Ichigo and remembered how he protected Rukia during the car crash.
"Thank you, Kurosaki Ichigo" he said and Ichigo shook his head.
"There's no need to thank me" he said sincerely.
"Where are Hisana and Rukia?" Byakuya asked and Ichigo sighed.
"They are discussing something," Ichigo said while scratching the back of his head nervously "should I call them?"
Byakuya shook his head.
"No, it's time for them to talk" he said "something tells me that Hisana will come shortly, it's better if we wait."
Ichigo nodded.
He didn't want to imagine that conversation.
Once Rukia finished telling everything that happened on the car Hisana sighed heavily. As expected, half of it was a lie but judging by Rukia's angry expression convincing her of that wasn't going to be easy. She should've known from the very beginning that his father was going to take advantage of everything but still, why did he want to go with Rukia to Kyoto? It didn't make sense, there was nothing for them there, right?
"Well?" Rukia inquired "is it true or not?"
Hisana cleared her throat and took a seat next to her sister, it was a good thing that they left them the room just for them.
"I had an amazing relationship with our mother, Rukia" she started "physically speaking we look a lot like her, especially you. You inherited your eyes from her, I was really jealous when I found out."
Rukia wanted to demand her answers immediately but she knew better than that. This was the first time her sister was opening up about their family's story so she decided to shut up and to listen intently, she didn't let go when her sister grabbed her hand.
"Here's how everything happened…"
Hisana's eyes widened as her mother showed her, with trembling hands, the pregnancy test.
"It's positive" Yua said happily "you're going to have a little sister."
"Or brother," Hisana said bewildered "it's too early to know."
Yua shook her head.
"I know deep in my heart it's going to be a girl" she said and then caressed Hisana's cheek lovingly "I cannot wait for her to meet you."
Hisana frowned.
"Mother" she said worriedly, while looking at her mother's violet eyes "your health is not the best and with father…"
Yua chuckled.
"Your father won't know about this child" she said with determination "I'm sorry I failed at protecting you, but this won't be the same, it'll be a fresh start for the three of us."
"She failed?" Rukia interrupted her confused "I don't understand."
Hisana smiled sadly at Rukia.
"Father was an alcoholic" she explained "we didn't have any money thanks to that habit of his, not to mention that whenever there was not enough money for him to drink, he would release his anger with the first thing he could find."
Rukia's eyes widened.
"Mom was his favorite punching bag" she said as tears welled in her eyes "but I couldn't stand that, so I would get in the middle at every chance I had."
Rukia gulped.
"When we found out that you were coming I didn't let him touch her again" Hisana continued "that would make him extremely angry, he broke one of my ribs once."
Rukia noticed how Hisana put a hand on her side as if she was remembering that pain.
"Well…" Hisana said clearing her throat "we prepared everything and left him a month after we checked the pregnancy test, we rented a nice tiny apartment and I got a job as a waitress. I would go along with mom to the doctor and yes, it was true, her health was really delicate so they suggested to interrupt the pregnancy."
Rukia frowned.
"Did you agree?" she asked.
Hisana shook her head in negative.
"I was afraid to lose my mother" she said "but she wanted you and I wanted to meet my little sister too so no, I never agreed to that."
Rukia wanted to cry after hearing that but she held back her tears, this wasn't the time.
"What about father? How did he accept the fact that you both left him?"
"We didn't ask for permission" Hisana told her "one night he was out getting drunk, so we took our things and left the house without looking back."
Rukia's eyes widneded surprised.
"Kyoto is quite big, Rukia" Hisana explained while patting her sister on the head affectionately "we made sure to get far away from him, unfortunately we didn't have enough money to left the city."
"He found you" Rukia concluded.
Hisana nodded.
"He found me and you," she said "mother died while giving birth to you."
Once Hisana heard her sister's shrieks she smiled, she was finally here! She was born after a lot of struggle but she had the same raven hair as her and to everyone's surprise her eyes were as gorgeous as her mother's. She was about to congratulate her mother when she heard something weird on the monitor.
"Her heart is stopping!" one of the nurses said "she's not going to make it!"
Hisana gasped and looked at her mother's face, she was smiling.
"Mom, no" Hisana sobbed "you cannot leave us! My sister is here and she's healthy, we cannot go on without you!"
"Hisana" Yua said while taking Hisana's hand "my gorgeous daughter, I'm so sorry."
Hisana whimpered.
"Don't speak!" she begged "you'll need your energy! Come on, you'll be okay."
"Had I escaped before I would've saved you a lot of pain" Yua continued ignoring her daughter's pleadings.
"Don't be silly" Hisana said as her tears didn't stop falling "the bruises faded a long time ago, we've been a real family all of this time. You're not to blame for my father's actions."
One nurse approached them with the baby wrapped in a pink blanket and Hisana took her carefully. She smiled at seeing her sister's tiny and cute face and showed her to her mother.
"See?" Hisana said "we're both here and we need you, mother? Please don't leave us."
Yua smiled as she observed her daughters.
"Hisana" she said "please, take care of your sister. Don't leave her, okay? Don't let your father to find out about her, protect her."
Hisana nodded.
"I wish you all the happiness in the world" Yua continued "I've been praying for you to find a nice, handsome man that will take care of you, you deserve that kind of love."
"Don't be an idiot" Hisana gasped while blushing slightly "all I need is you to be there for us, mom?! Mom, don't close your eyes!"
Yua smiled one last time.
"Your sister's name is Rukia" she said finally and her heart stopped.
Hisana stood there on the spot, holding Rukia as the doctor and the nurses discussed her mother's death to put it on the records. Hisana looked with teary eyes at Rukia who was looking at her curiously.
"Rukia" she sobbed "we'll be fine, okay? I'll protect you."
Rukia wiped her sister's tears and Hisana closed her eyes. It was obviously a painful memory, way too painful, Rukia was crying too but she wasn't the one who needed consolation right now.
"After that…" Hisana continued after taking a deep breath.
"I can wait" Rukia interrupted her "if you cry even more you'll end up dehydrated."
Hisana chuckled, it was a good sign that Rukia was joking at a time like this.
"It's okay" Hisana said "you have the right to know."
Rukia nodded.
"Well, as I was saying" Hisana continued "after that I took you home and I won't lie, raising a child while working as a waitress is hard as hell. I would often ask for our neighbor to take care of you to go to my shifts."
Rukia frowned.
"I made everything harder for you" she reasoned sadly.
Hisana poked her lightly on her forehead.
"For a long time you were the only reason for me to wake up every morning" she told her "you were, just as your name suggests, a ray of light for me."
Rukia blushed.
"Don't get sappy" she told her "I hate it."
Hisana chuckled.
"Well, one of those times I received a call" she continued "I was at the restaurant when our neighbor called me and she told me that my father was there to finally take you home."
Rukia's eyes widened.
"You don't have an idea of how much I panicked" Hisana assured her.
Hisana ran as fast as she could. She couldn't believe how fast her father found her, just when she had enough money to move to another city! Cursing her luck she took the bus towards her old home, now that her father had taken Rukia with him she didn't have another choice, she would have to face her past.
She reached her old house just in time to see her father waiting for her on the porch, he was holding Rukia without a care in the world.
"Oh, Hisana" Makoto greeted calmly "we were waiting for you."
Hisana sneered at him.
"Give her back!" she demanded "I'm taking her back home!"
"This is her home" Makoto stated calmly "now, come inside. I don't want to upset the neighbors."
"I'm not going to go inside" Hisana said angrily "just give me my sister back!"
Makoto huffed.
"Fine" he said "stay outside, but Rukia is coming with me, it's not like I am giving her a choice in this matter."
Hisana took a deep breath and followed her father inside. Much to her disappointment he walked straight to the dining room where he took a seat, he never let go off Rukia. He probably understood that, given the chance, she would just grab her and leave the house as fast as she could. Reluctantly she took a seat in front of him.
"How?" Hisana asked "how did you find us?"
Makoto shrugged, Rukia was sleeping peacefully on his arms.
"It wasn't easy" he admitted "in fact, I was simply checking the memorials on the newspaper when your mother's name called my attention, it's been six four months ever since she died, I was surprised."
"Surprised but no disappointed, I believe" Hisana said bitterly "you never loved her."
Makoto sighed.
"I won't deny it" he said "back in the day she was useful as a money source, also in bed I mean she was hot."
Hisana wanted to throw up.
"You're disgusting" she said "what do you want? Why would you bring us here?"
"You're such an ungrateful child" Makoto said while looking harshly at Hisana "why wouldn't you tell me that I had another daughter?"
"What for?" Hisana barked "so you could treat her like you treated me?!"
Makoto chuckled.
"You couldn't handle a few punches, I see" he said amused "God, you're just like your mother, bitching about everything."
"What do you want?" Hisana asked again.
"I just want you to leave us alone" Makoto said.
"Uh?" Hisana asked puzzled.
"Yeah" Makoto said "Yua left nothing behind but this little treasure so I want to raise her on my own, her name's Rukia, right? I think that you've done enough."
"Go fuck yourself!" Hisana said standing up "I won't leave Rukia with you, you're not her father!"
Makoto smirked.
"She might not carry my last name" he said sardonically "but I just need a paternity test, it's quite simple."
"You're going to be a father now?" she asked "it's quite late for that, we don't need you!"
Makoto stood up and placed Rukia on the table. Hisana braced herself as he approached her, he was about to slap her but she stopped him. She managed to grab his hand with a strong grip and looked at him coldly in the eyes.
"You won't touch me" she said menacingly "never again."
The next seconds were confusing for both Makoto and Hisana. He used his free hand to grab her hair painfully and she punched him on the nose, she was quite proud after hearing a loud crack and in the chaos of the whole fight both fell to the floor. Makoto took advantage of the situation and put himself on top of her and punched her twice on the face, Hisana was disoriented and her head was bleeding but she looked aside and noticed a kitchen knife on the floor so without hesitation, and before he could punch her again, she stabbed him on the stomach.
He groaned as blood started to come out of the wound, she knew it wouldn't kill him. She didn't have enough strength to make a deep wound, but he panicked. Hisana stood up and ran to grab Rukia, who was now crying, and walking with difficulty she left the house.
"What did you do after that?" Rukia asked.
"I knew I didn't have much time" Hisana said "so I ran towards the bank, I had our documents and my savings there, I was actually planning to leave Kyoto but our father's visit was unexpected so he made me advance with my plans."
"You were hurt" Rukia said.
"It didn't stop me" Hisana said "I took the money, the documents and ran to the nearest bus station with you. We left Kyoto that night, I fed you one last time on the bus and wrote a note."
"A note?" Rukia questioned.
Hisana nodded as she squeezed Rukia's hand.
"I knew he wouldn't rest until he could find us" she explained "but I didn't have a way to protect you so I decided to leave you on the orphanage and to look for a better job here, in Karakura."
Rukia gulped.
"We arrived at Karakura in the middle of the night…"
Hisana got down of the bus and looked around. She was dizzy and hurt but she couldn't bring herself to stop and rest, she walked several blocks until she found what she was looking for, the orphanage. It was an old looking building and it pained her beyond reason to leave her sister here.
"I'm sorry" Hisana said while looking at Rukia, she was sleeping comfortably with her pink blanket "I'll come back, I swear I'll come back."
She placed her carefully at the doorsteps of the orphanage and tucked the note and a picture in her blanket.
"Wait for me, Rukia" she begged and kissed her sister goodbye.
Standing up she knocked loudly on the door and ran towards the corner of the building. She heard the doors opening and an old lady complaining, once she was sure they had picked up Rukia she left running.
"I wrote some things for you on the note and the picture was the only one I had with mother."
Rukia didn't know what to say. She was shocked, upset, sad and happy at the same time. She was shocked after hearing everything her sister had to endured for years, she was upset because she had hidden everything from her, she was sad after finally hearing her mother's story and she was happy to have her sister next to her, healthy and happy. Hisana wasn't struggling anymore and she was loved by the most magnificent man on earth.
"Rukia?" Hisana asked worriedly.
Rukia was crying and she didn't know why, so in the end she threw herself at her sister and hugged her.
Hisana was taken aback by the sudden reaction but hugged her back.
"You're an idiot!" Rukia said "an irresponsible idiot!"
"Do you believe me?!" Hisana asked.
Rukia looked at her and poked her playfully on the forehead.
"I do" Rukia said "but don't get me wrong, I'm upset, extremely upset. If you had told me everything sooner a lot of things could've been avoided, idiot sister."
Hisana sobbed and hugged Rukia again.
There was a knock on the door and much to Rukia's surprise Ginrei stepped into the room.
"I'm sorry to interrupt" he said kindly "but Byakuya woke up a while ago and he wants to see his lovely wife and sister."
Hisana gasped and grabbing Rukia's hand ran towards Byakuya's room.
Rukia was still processing all the information she received but, even then, she made a choice. She was the one that was going to deal with her father, once and for all.
Of course, she had already decided the two idiots that were going to help her.
So, for this chapter I come with a very special request.
This has been the hardest chapter for me to write, as you can see is longer than the average. So, as a humble inexpert author on this site I ask you, please, if you're still reading or even if you have read all of this time and never say anything about the story, leave your review.
