Switch Up! A Tale of Multi-Verse Ash Ketchum!

-Flashback-

"The problem with that guy is the power his Pokemon have…" Kalos Ash shifts through pages and pages of his Pokemon. It is kind of frustrating, really, but this was the last Pokemon he had to choose, and it had to be a wise decision…

"Maybe if we think on the legends and myths' types we can chose a Pokemon that can counter most of them" Brock looks over to Professor Oak, who looked as thoughtful as his protégé.

"That might not be a bad choice, but there are so many Pokemon… and what's to say that his team isn't composed of legends and myths?" The Professor reasons with them "It's too risky thinking like that"

"I've got an idea!" Everyone turns to look at Alola-Ash who walked towards them with Solgaleo close by him "We need to fight legendary Pokemon against legendary Pokemon!"

"Gaa!"

Kalos-Ash immediately knew what he meant "You want me to battle with your Solgaleo? But it isn't your… our… Pokemon?"

Solgaleo walks towards Kalos-Ash and licks his face "Sol…"

"Solgaleo knows you're me, so he'll help us!" Ash smiles at the Pokemon as he pulls out a Pokeball out of his pocket "So that's what we'll do!" He presses the Pokeball to Solgaleo and it sucks the Sun Pokemon inside. The Pokeball didn't even shake as it marked the capture, though the ball did shift colour soon after, trading the light red and white for a deep red colour…

"We've got Solgaleo!"

-Flashback End-

"We have another legendary Pokemon among us! Regigigas! The Legendary Titan is here and under the ownership of Tobias nonetheless!" The announcer cries out, nearly at the end of his nerves "So many legends in one place! Now what about Trainer Ash's Pokemon!? I never met a Pokemon like it!"

Tobias meanwhile clenched his fists, his face revealing the shock he really felt "The Pokemon of the Radiant Sun… Solgaleo" Being a Trainer whose team was composed of legends and myths, he knew more about rare Pokemon than others. His shock turns into a smirk "I wonder how my Regigigas, one of my oldest Pokemon, can fare against a Pokemon such as Solgaleo!"

Meanwhile, Ash reeled back at seeing a Pokemon like Regigigas standing in front of him "A Regigigas… that's amazing" And it was true, he saw the destructive force that Regigigas could be "This will be hard… but it'll be a great battle!"

Chapter 28: The Greatest Challenger 5 – Like no one ever was…

In the stands…

"What is that Pokemon?" Dawn points her Pokedex to the new Pokemon and gets no answer from the machine "It doesn't know!"

Barry had stars in his eyes "It's so cool looking! I bet it's a new evolution of a known Pokemon!"

In Brock's mind, the idea of one of Ash's Tauros evolving into that rapidly crossed but was erased as soon as it popped.

In the Champion's booth…

"Cynthia what is wrong? I don't know that Pokemon, but is it such a big deal?"

Cynthia stood up as soon as she saw the Pokemon, knowing what Pokemon they were dealing with… "That, is a Solgaleo, a Legendary Pokemon from Alola. Its power is said to rival the legends of Sinnoh, like Palkia and Dialga… And that same power is met with a Pokemon capable of moving continents…"

Mr. Goodshow looked pale and paler with each Pokemon described… "This is going to be a disaster…"

In the battlefield…

"Then, let's see who's the strongest, Ash Ketchum!" Tobias points at Solgaleo "Regigigas start with Hyper Beam!"

Regigigas shots the destructive beam at Solgaleo, who was fast to react at Ash's command.

"Solgaleo use Flash Cannon!"

Solgaleo shoots the beam from its maw. Both techniques collide in the center, struggling to overcome the other. It looked evenly matched, but then Solgaleo's beam starts gaining territory.

Even as Regigigas struggles to contain the power behind Solgaleo's technique, Tobias looked calm and confident.

"Press your advantage, Solgaleo!" Ash decides to take a strong stand to finish this once and for all "Sunsteel Strike!"

Solgaleo stops the Flash Cannon as it shines brightly and its fur turns white "Sol!" Solgaleo charges at Regigigas covered in energy as bright as the sun.

"Crush Grip! Stop that Solgaleo!"

Regigigas stands his ground with resounding steps and stops Solgaleo's charge with both hands. Solgaleo pushes as hard as it can causing Regigigas to slide back a bit from the strain.

"Don't let it shove you away, Regigigas! Push that Pokemon away!"

Regigigas lets out a loud bellow that is probably heard through the island as it pushes Solgaleo back "Gi… Gas…" Solgaleo's technique wanes out after a little while, and in that moment Regigigas shoves the Pokemon to the side.

Solgaleo skids until it slams to the side of the battlefield "Sol!"

Ash stares wide eyed at the force shown by the Colossal Pokemon "It's strong…"

"You think it's strong…" Tobias chuckles at Ash's words "It's true, Regigigas is strong. And right now he's half as strong as it will be in a few minutes"

"What!?" Ash couldn't believe what Tobias told him. How could a Pokemon become strong overtime…? Unless… "Regigigas is strong but needs to power up before that… and that's the moment we need to strike!"

"That's something we're prepared of course" Tobias looks towards his Pokemon with a confident smirk "Regigigas… summon them"

"Regi?" A series a whirling beeps sounded as the turned to his trainer.

"All of them! With a trainer like Ash Ketchum we shall not hold back!"

Regigigas nods in agreement and slams both fists on the ground.

It was then that the world started shaking, literally. The ground shook as tremors ran under the stadium. Near the coast, the water turned turbulent and the metallic elements of the stadium screeched in protest.

A thunderstorm loomed over them, covering the blue skies.

From Regigigas, five of the six gemstones it possessed came off its body and floated in front of it.

Solgaleo jumped in front of Ash, wary of what is to come…

Around the first gemstone, rock from the ground converged forming a stone golem. Metal scraps flew from the stands and around the stadium, converging in the second gemstone. The metal that came from parts of the stadium formed a metal golem. From above water fell from the thunderstorm. The water froze around the third gemstone, forming a glacial figure. Right then a thunderbolt fell from the sky, impacting the fourth gemstone. The gemstone morphed into a fourth figure that seemed made of electrical power…

Seeing what was happening, Ash wasn't about to let the fifth titan form… "Solgaleo Flash Cannon on the last gemstone now!"

Solgaleo reacts quickly and fires a silver beam that impacts the gemstone, destroying it completely.

Ash smiles at this, but the fact remains that four new adversaries stood in front of Solgaleo…

In the void…

"That can't be legal or fair" Alola-Ash speaks from his position on the ground, where he fell after seeing Regigigas summon four Regis…

"It's neither" Brock looks just as lost as Ash, but he tried to make sense of this.

"It's completely legal" Darkrai breaks in, deciding to break it to them "The moment I saw Regigigas I was afraid something like this would happen. As Regigigas technically summoned them… more like created them, it's completely legal. It's like the Beat Up issue"

"Ash was fast to destroy the last orb" Mew pipes in after a long absence "If that man had summoned Regidrago…"

"With Regirock, Regice and Registeel it's enough to complicate it… add Regieleki and it's more troublesome that it needs to be right now" Darkrai announces ominously "Ash will have to pull out all stops"

In the battlefield…

"A move like this it's legal because the Pokemon summoned them through the use of a move, so…" The announcer looks at Ash as if seeing a dead man "Good luck young man!"

Tobias looks at Ash with an approving nod "I'm surprised you took so long to stop one of the creations… but I think this will be enough"

Ash didn't share in Tobias' enthusiasm "At least share what that yellow Regi is, it's only fair!"

Tobias chuckles at that "I present you Regieleki, a missing brother to the Regi Trio that is known. You stopped Regigigas from summoning Regidrago, the true menace of this Pokemon group"

"I see…" Ash turns from Tobias to look at Regigigas, who still sports one gemstone.

"Don't worry, without the orbs, Regigigas can't live" Tobias gives Ash the courtesy of knowing what's he's dealing with "And the orbs take from fifty to a hundred years to regrow, so this is it Ash Ketchum!"

"What?! So long? But… why waste them here?" Ash asks the burning question in his mind "After the finals you can challenge Cynthia… or any champion for that matter… why me?"

Tobias shakes his head in amusement "Such humility doesn't become you, Ash Ketchum. You battled and bested several of my Pokemon, albeit not the strongest I own, but nevertheless a great feat. But right now I show you my strongest Pokemon and you not only don't even flinch at the sight, but match it with another legendary Pokemon"

Tobias gives Ash a grin that showed that the man was having fun and that was something he could relate with "This battle has gone beyond any battle I ever had, Tobias! I'm having fun despite that I should take it seriously! There's so much in the line… but the moment we battle and connect… It's the greatest moment… the moment a Pokemon Master strives to achieve!"

Tobias changes his stance at that, realizing that Ash, much like him, enjoyed a good challenge "Then come!" He makes the 'come' signal with his hand "You're my greatest challenger, Ash Ketchum! Show me the power you used to beat so many of my Pokemon! Show me why you're the very best!"

Ash smiles at that and mumbles under his breath "The very best eh…?" He places his fingers on the brim of his hat, wishing it was his Johto League official hat "Then I'll show you our very best!" He swiftly turns it around.

Those who knew Ash Ketchum knew that the moment his hat was turned, the battle would escalate to a whole new level…

"Solgaleo we'll beat those Regis wannabe!" Ash grins at the Pokemon, coming to an understanding "Full power Cosmic Power!"

Blue light envelopes Solgaleo as its defence and special defence grew considerably.

"Charge!" Tobias calls out and the Regis set out to get Solgaleo.

First came Regirock who used Stone Edge "Rock!"

"Break through with Sunsteel Strike!" Ash shouts loudly "We get to Regigigas before the warm up is done!"

White light emanates from Solgaleo as it breaks through the stones coming at him.

Right then, Registeel jumps over Solgaleo, ready to deliver an Iron Head "Meet that Iron Head!"

Solgaleo upwards and meets the falling Registeel, whose move was strong, but not strong enough to push the Sunne Pokemon.

Registeel flies away and lands among the crowd, the spectators having vacated the area after seeing the Pokemon soaring at them.

As Solgaleo fell from to the ground, Regice and Regieleki decide to strike, using Ice Beam and Zap Cannon. The beam and bolt ball soar after Solgaleo who couldn't see it coming.

"Watch out Solgaleo!"

Solgaleo turns to see the techniques coming at him and rapidly vanishes from the spot, reappearing on the ground ready to go.

"Solgaleo dodged those devastating moves using Teleport!" The announcer ran with microphone towards the battlefield wall, unwilling to miss anything due to being copped up in the radio box.

"Beat them back with Flash Cannon!"

Solgaleo charges the techniques and uses it from side to side, hitting both Regis. Just as it was about to charge, Regirock lands on Solgaleo and deliver a series of Hammer Arm that slows the Pokemon down.

"Get it away with Teleport!"

"Sol!" Solgaleo disappears from under Regirock and appears above, delivering a devastating Sunsteel Strike that knocks out the Pokemon.

"Regigigas, Regice and Regieleki use Hyper Beam now!"

The three remaining Regis use Hyper Beam in direction of Solgaleo who was pushed back by the onslaught of move.

"Solgaleo hang in there! Push back with Sunsteel Strike!"

Solgaleo straightens and enters its Radiant Sun phase to start pushing back. The last thing the Pokemon wanted was to see Ash disappear in the mists of time because it couldn't take on a few Hyper Beam. So Solgaleo did what it could to push as much as possible.

Slowly, but surely, the Sunne Pokemon pushed back. The strained steps turn into a slow walk. The slow walk turns into a jog. From a jog it turned into a run that defied everything that surrounded them.

Ash was set to lose in this battle, yet his Pokemon bravely fought believing in their trainer. Solgaleo was no different and it showed.

"Regice and Regieleki meet Solgaleo and use Explosion!"

Both Regis floated after Solgaleo, meeting it in the middle and exploding soon after.

A plume of black smoke came over the battlefield, but from it came out Solgaleo, still charging at Regigigas.

"Go Solgaleo!" Ash cheers as the Sunne Pokemon slams into Regigigas. The Colossal Pokemon slides back due to the force behind Solgaleo's attack. The Pokemon looked greatly damaged by the technique, but Solgaleo didn't come out of the last assault completely unscathed.

Far from it, Solgaleo looked heavily damaged and judging from its heaving, it could take a few more hits. Maybe…

"Payback!"

Regigigas's black holes/eyes shine red as it suddenly moves faster than ever and slams a black coated fist into Solgaleo's underside, knocking the air of the Pokemon.

"Solgaleo!" Ash, shocked by the turn of events, looks towards Tobias to see him grinning in glee… 'This was his plan… Not to overcome Solgaleo with the Regis, but to wait for the moment to strike with Regigigas at full power!'

Solgaleo meanwhile fell limply to the ground, completely out of it.

Ash shakes his head in dismay and recalls Solgaleo "You did great, Solgaleo… thank you so much" He presses the ball to his temple, as if having a conversation that went beyond words with the subject in the Pokeball.

He pockets it and brings out his last Pokemon… This was it. There were no more room for mistakes. One wrong move and it was game over… for all of them.

He throws the Pokeball and Charizard comes from it, landing with a loud roar for everyone to hear "Char!"

"Charizard!"

The Flame Pokemon stares at Ash expectantly after seeing his new opponent.

Ash walks over to the Kantonian starter and holds his fist forward, ready for Charizard to punch back "This is the last battle bud. You're my last Pokemon, and Regigigas is his. Everything is going for this battle. We can't lose, we have to win"

Charizard stares at the fist for a bit but doesn't meet it…

Ash got worried for his Pokemon when he was pulled in a tight hug "Char…"

"Charizard…" Ash hugs the Pokemon back and lets some tears fall down his face "No regrets you hear me!?" Ash pulls back and fixes his eyes on Charizard "We show them who we are! I swear Charizard you win and I let you bathe me in fire!"

"Char!" Charizard turns around and levels a glare at Regigigas, who stared back impassively.

"Regigigas show them why they can't win!" Tobias tells his Pokemon, who looks ready for everything that may come "Hyper Beam!"

"Fly away Charizard!"

Charizard takes to the sky and dodges the beam as it follows him.

"Get closer Charizard!"

As the Hyper Beam followed him, Charizard weaved around it, mind on finding the opening needed to strike. That's when he saw it, a chance. Charizard dives close to the ground, the hyper beam following after him.

The Flame Pokemon flies close to the ground around the field until he passes behind Tobias. Regigigas immediately stops the assault, least it injures its trainer.

"Go Charizard!" Ash shouts excitedly "Use Dragon Tail!"

Charizard roars in agreement as it makes a sharp turn, tail lighting up with draconic energy.

"Stop it with Crush Grip!"

As Charizard's Dragon Tail was about to impact Regigigas, it raises its arm catching the limb with one hand.

Tobias' smirk widens at this "Now get him with Thunder Wave!"

Sparks crackle around Regigigas as it delivers the Electric Type move, paralyzing Charizard.

"Char!"

"Oh no! Charizard!"

"Slam him around!" At Tobias' command, Regigigas starts slamming Charizard against the ground, from one side to the other. After a few slams, Charizard is thrown to the side where it hits the wall with a resounding boom.

Charizard manages to stand up, but flinches as sparks immobilize him "Char…!"

"Finish that Pokemon with Hyper Beam!" Regigigas starts charging the Hyper Beam, ready to end the battle.

"Come on Charizard!" Ash sees that Charizard is struggling, but he could do little more than try to give him a command "Counter Shield with Flamethrower!"

Charizard clearly forces himself to start spinning around, unleashing a Flamethrower as he did. Soon he was veiled by a spinning tornado of flames that looked imposed and felt hotter then hell.

"Now!"

Regigigas unleashed the powerful beam at the tornado of flames. The Counter Shield does it work and repels the beam effectively. The Colossal Pokemon kept the beam trained on the Flame Pokemon's shield with no issue, but that wasn't the case for Charizard.

Ash's Pokemon spun while flying as fast as he could, but a spasm of electricity coursed through his body in that instant. The Counter Shield stopped and the Hyper Beam manages to break through, tearing into Charizard.

"That's gotta hurt!"

Ash growls in annoyance at the words of the announcer, but that feeling is pushed aside when the dust fell to show the state his Pokemon is in "Charizard!"

The Pokemon lays immobile on the ground, eyes closed.

The crowd stares expectant about what's going to happen…

Ash's friend look in shock at the turn of events.

Cynthia looks unhappy that this battle is ending so soon.

Tobias seems to be coming from his adrenaline rush, disappointed that this was the end of this battle.

Ash couldn't and wouldn't believe that his Pokemon was defeated like that. Not like that. Charizard was made of tougher stuff. It's not like Charizard. Not like any of his Pokemon…

"Come on… Charizard!"

The referee, who was about to call the match looked at Ash in surprise.

Ash looks to the sky and shouts at the top of his lungs "Is this all you can do, Charizard!? You're better than this! Get up now buddy! We won't lose like this!"

Charizard still rests on the ground, but his eyes twitch, as if struggling to open. The referee takes note of this and takes a few steps away.

"Are you going to let that Pokemon step over you like that!?"

That seemed to trigger something in Charizard, whose eyes snap open, shining red from the sheer power flowing inside the Pokemon "CHAR!" Charizard stands up with a mighty roar, rising a column of fire.

"Is that Charizard's Blaze!?" Tobias takes a step back in shock, the power flowing out of the Pokemon shocking him completely "We got to stop it now! Hyper Beam!"

Regigigas fires a Hyper Beam that is intercepted by a Flamethrower coming from the column of fire, its flames a dull orange that seemed to melt the ground under them.

"Full power now!"

Charizard roars as the column disperses to show him covered by an orange veil. The Flame Pokemon maximises his power output and slowly starts to overcome the Hyper Beam.

"Regigigas stop those flames!"

Soon the flames pushes Regigigas' technique enough to start burning the Pokemon.

"Quick Charizard use Seismic Toss!" Ash points to the sky, intent of going all out on this battle "Give it your all!"

Charizard rapidly flies to Regigigas and catches him on a tight grip. Face to face, Charizard glares fiercely at the Colossal Pokemon. Slowly but surely, Charizard lifts off the ground, gaining altitude enough to start the necessary spins in the sky for the move to take effect. After the first spin, Regigigas weight almost became too much for Charizard, but he persevered and gave another spin, gaining speed for the drop.

"Now we finish this battle Charizard!"

Taking his cue, Charizard starts flying to the ground intent on ending the battle.

"Don't let it Regigigas! Use Hyper Beam on Charizard!"

Regigigas starts charging a Hyper Beam right in front of Charizard, whose eyes widen at this.

"Watch out Charizard!" "Ash can't believe what he's seeing, really… can Charizard survive this!? "Counter with Flamethrower!"

The Hyper Beam hits Charizard but he holds strong, roaring in pain. Through the pain, Charizard manages to fire a Flamethrower that clearly hurts Regigigas.

Both Pokemon keep their attacks as they fall to the ground, to the point that it looked like a shining meteor falling from the sky.

The impact on the ground shakes the stadium around as strong as an Earthquake and as loud as a Boomburst. The intensity of the impact causes waves of dust and wind that even send people flying around, trespassing the psychic barriers set up by the Kadabra and Alakazam from the Pokemon League.

Nobody could see anything, it was pure unaltered chaos. But one thing was for sure, this was the climax of the battle… the true winner would be shown now.

Lo and behold, the two Pokemon struggle to stand. Regigigas looked scratched and burned all around its body, not taking in account the weird beeping sequence it made, that usually signalled malfunction. Charizard was, at least visibly, worse that the leader of the Regis. Charizard could barely stand. It did only through sheer will and determination to win.

Both trainers couldn't breathe as they watched the Pokemon try to stand.

The referee manages to get a stand point close enough to both to determine who the winner will be.

Charizard glares at Regigigas, but respect is clear in his eyes as well. He really wanted to win… He fell to the ground unconscious and the ground shook with small tremors…

In front of him Regigigas also fell, at the same time as Charizard, completely unconscious.

"Both Pokemon are unable to battle! The winner will be determined by who was the last to fall to the ground" The Referee announces for everyone to hear "Please replay the feed on both Pokemon in slow motion!"

The giant screen that usually shows the trainer's teams, fades to black as a new video starts. A split screen that shows the very moment that both Pokemon fall in slow motion…

It's for a millisecond, but the winner is clear for everyone to see…

*CUE TROLL FACE MEME FROM TEN YEARS AGO APRX

Yeah I just did that, an infuriating cliff-hanger.

WHO WON?! Well I know who did and fortunately for you, you'll know as soon as you go to the next chapter, because of course I had to make this a double chapter!

So about what you saw here, most of it is made out of lore of the Pokemon. Regigigas seems a pretty unassuming Pokemon for Tobias to have, but supposedly it's a Pokemon that can move continents and create Regis out of the elements.

That's what it did here, I mean wouldn't be a challenge if I just used brute force right? Mega Charizard X would be more menacing like that. But Regigigas manages to construct four out of the five Regis we know about, Regirock, Regice, Registeel and Regieleki. Fortunately for Ash, he realized what happened and destroyed the last orb that would have created a Regidrago. I'm actually annoyed that a reviewer actually predicted what I planned with Regigigas, kudos to you dude/dudette.

Solgaleo did what it could, but it is still a young Pokemon that to this point is barely a hundred episodes old approximately. Its move set was based on what it would know due to levelling up. Teleport as Cosmog, Cosmic Power as Cosmoem and Sunsteel Strike and Flash Cannon as Solgaleo.

Now onto Regigigas, well Crush Grip, Payback, Hyper Beam and Thunder Wave all around a somewhat useful moveset if you ask me. Maybe not the best, but the one that works better with the story.

Charizard at the end of the battle goes all out with Blaze which, before you start bothering me, increases Attack and Sp. Attack of a Pokemon despite the type of the move. I had a conversation with a friend about that and he insisted that it powered up fire type moves, but as of gen V it affects all. Dude only played gen III based rom hacks :s

So the winner will be revealed in the next chapter. I won't bother you more about this, so if you're not interested in the reviews, hop off to the next chapter!

Reviews!

Kaitou Luminous: Great to see Nebby, but poor Charizard didn't get to knock out a single Pokemon so far.

ME: Yeah, Nebby was cool and somewhat underused in SM. Well… Charizard tied with Regigigas, so that's got to count for something. Also he did manage to weaken Porygon-Z before Tobias switched it with Cresselia.

blizzardblaze174: Regigigas...HEY, that makes a lot of sense! The Sinnoh League Victors opening did have Ash facing off against one I think, so this answers the question of who Tobias's final Pokemon is... Pikachu VS Mega Latios sure was quick, but at least Pikachu proved he could stand up to a stacked Mega Latios. Greninja sure did a lot of work in this battle! Him losing against Mega Latios isn't anything to be too ashamed of, considering he was still able to weaken a newly refreshed Latios AGAIN despite already having taken a lot of damage. Ahh, Charizard and Nebby are the last ones standing. I get the feeling Charizard's going to be the one to win this one for Ash. Imagine if Regigigas just starts making another Regi Pokemon in the middle of the battle and goes to sleep. But it's going to be a tough battle. It's STRONG enough to push continents around.

ME: First and foremost, I'm annoyed at you for guessing that Regigigas twist. But good job on that. That's some lore I wanted to exploit actually :D - Pikachu gave the best performance if you think about it, a swift battle that took out a major player in Tobias' team. Greninja could be considered a MVP as it defeated Porygon-Z and almost beat Cresselia and Mega Latios (Twice), so yeah he did his work out.

Flyg0n: Man I was so happy when I happened to check my email and see an update! I like the outcome of the battle but one thing confuses me. Isn't Psychic moves have no effect on dark types? Greninja is half dark ( a fact which the anime seems to overlook?). SO Luster Purge should have no effect, right? Otherwise, cool battle! I'm SO happy Ash brought Solgaleo I honestly barely need an explanation I just like that Ash has a legendary to use. This will be a fun battle for sure! The Dynamax thing terrified me honestly, glad that he didn't Dynamax. Kinda wouldn't feel right. Regigigas is an... intriguing choice. Honestly did not expect it.

ME: Yeah, Greninja is immune as I see the type immunities, they still push you around. I mean, take the fairy and dragon type. An Azurill against a Salamance who does Dragon Rush. It's physically impossible for the Pokemon to not faint just from the impact a Pokemon thirty times bigger causes. Maybe Dragon energy doesn't affect the Pokemon, but the physical aspect should. A Dragon Claw without dragon type energy is a Slash attack at best. The attacks in the anime don't phase through Pokemon as far as I know, they hit but cause nothing. The Luster Purge might distract Greninja in this case, or create a smokescreen for Latios to take advantage off. It's a heavily debated issue I think. Imagine a Dynamax or Gigantamax Regigigas… that's terrifying! Anyway, time will give me the reason when it comes to a future G-Max Regigigas and Sinnoh suddenly sprouting Power Spots along the region :s

reader0007: ...i'm not sure about regigigas, he is slow as hell, what can he do? is he actually a threat in game competitive battle or something? or we just use the anime logic that 'big legendary is OP'? i think lord nebby can handle him without problem. and,did you hear about sword and shield dlc about trio legendary birds? said that they will change from trio elemental to become a trio of nerd, evil, and brute ...i never play sword and shield, but what reason that can change a legendary's typing just like that? definitely not because of isolation,...i mean isolated island just like alola.

ME: So… Was Regigigas up to your expectations? I think it turned out to be an interesting battle Haha. There's no such logic. Se Melmetal for that matter. Melmetal is strong, of course, but as a Mythical Pokemon one expects it to be super op. It's not, it barely used two miserable moves in the anime :s But to answer you question, in competitive Regigigas is shit, simple as that. It's not very viable. About the legendary birds in Galar, dunno it's an excuse to still squeeze all they can from Gen I. I barely like the G-Moltres and that's that. I only used to have a 3DS so I didn't get a chance to play SwSh beyond watching gameplays.

Toa Solaric chapter 27 . Jun 8

Why would he have Regigigas...? It may be a legend, but it really slow and I know there is no way it could swap it's ability with Ash's pokemon, I'm curious about how Nebby being by Ash's side here, but I can't wait to see what happen next. If Nebby somehow was out due to Regi, then everything lies with Charizard. Also why does Luster purge hurts Greninja? Isn't Greninja part DARK type?

ME: Regigigas was a very premeditated choice. It's not obvious. A normal choice would be a newer gen legendary like Zeraora or Zarude or even Diancie (Dunno just spouting options), but a Regigigas might be the last choice people can make. And the way I used the lore around it, I think it turned into something interesting… I think? Also for the Greninja bit, the review to Flyg0n explains that (Doesn't justify, but that would leave Latios with only Giga Impact for attack).

Lightningblade49: I wonder if seeing Ash now use a legendary will fluster Tobias a little bit given the strength of his other mons.

ME: Maybe a bit…

hnh058513: Is Ash going to pull a Searing SunRaze Smash?

ME: Remember that his Z-Ring was destroyed in Kalos.

Hall Gowrt: Oh... baby, the beast baby boi is here... Nebby! That isn't fair... you did Pikachu bad... but I can't really complain after what you gave with Alola Ash!

ME: Yeah he is! And contributed greatly to the battle I think. About Pikachu, he showed what he could do at the pinnacle of it's training I think (Right after a battle against Mega Charizard X). He wasn't going to shine per say, but he showed that he could lift his weight where Greninja couldn't.

Flamita: very good chapter, I can no longer wait for the next and see the reaction of everyone to see that Ash also has a legendary. Do you plan to add PM Ash to the fic? I think it would be interesting.

ME: Well… did it live to expectations?

Lunar Moon Butterfly: Of COURSE he would have Solgaleo. Sure, he's a big fire kitten, but where's the love for my Moon Bat Lunala?

ME: Solgaleo was more Pokemon of Ash than Lunala, honestly. It seemed in the anime Lunala was more sympathetic to Gladion.

CCSakuraforever: Está muy bueno el capítulo que pasó con la combate de

YO: Tengo la sensación de que se te corto la review… pero gracias!

Guest (Dude): Can't wait for the next chapter my dude, and I can't wait for your next story. Also team sun for the win.

ME: Thanks! Hope it'll pan out into something soon…

Guest: Hello, very good chapter and the inclusion of Solgaleo to Ash's team was a surprise. I expected him to use Melmetal. By the way, I know you said that you had no plans to use Ash from Journeys but now that you almost have a complete team it would be good if you included it to see the reactions of the other Ash to the most recent one, especially with his new job as an investigator.

ME: Honestly, I had a very hard time writing Melmetal. Has only two moves it has used, Thunderbolt is very debatable and Harden was not used since it was a Meltan. I had to improvise I guess… but back then it worked. Now it would have been a pain to write.

Guest #1: Nebby! I really can't wait the expression of people in stadium when Ash call Solgaleo with that nickname. BTW can Nebby use Z moves?

ME: Nebby can use Z-Moves, but Ash doesn't have a Z-Ring anymore.

XD: You never cease to impress me with these chapters. First, Greninja joins the group of Ash's Pokemon who defeated a legendary (I know that Cresselia sacrificed herself, however it was him who left her with low HP). Second, the battle between the megas (Ash-Greninja is practically considered one) was exciting and at the same time hilarious by the reactions of the spectators. Third, Pikachu continues live up to his legend of knock out legendary Pokemon (now a mega legendary one). Finally, Solgaleo vs Regigigas, it's obvious that the former would participate because Alola-Ash's life is in danger, as for the latter, it was one of my two options for Tobias's last Pokemon, the other was Eternatus.

PS: It's not to push you, but you might be able to finish this story just for this fic's anniversary. Read you later and stay safe.

ME: Thanks for your praise, really! Really Greninja could have been an added Mega Evolution in Sun and Moon, but they went with the ability (Which in the game still lets you carry items, so it's cool). Pikachu is a game changer nowadays when it enters the battlefield. It usually takes out at least a Pokemon. It was a must. Considering that I gave that d-max tease, I expected people to call out for Eternatus. Hell, what I didn't expect was someone to PM me to tell me to not use Eternatus or Dynamax for that matter. Never was on my plans, but it was a fun tease I think. About the anniversary, I didn't realize that I was so close to that! But I'm ending this earlier than that I think, more now that I decided to go all out and post the last two chapters together.

Arkyz66: I'm so hyped for this last battle. Please let Ash use a Z move with Solgaleo, that would round the whole battle out for me. Either way, I absolutely love this fic, great work!

ME: I would, honestly Ash needs all he can have, but his Z-Ring was destroyed in Kalos :s

That's all people! Go to the Final Chapter… Oh? Didn't I mention? The next chapter is the last one. The Finale. The End. El Fin. Owari da. Basically, yes. The end is near. Just writing words to fill up to 6000 words to make this the longest chapter you know? Only missing sixteen words, so close to it. I'm right there… you're still here? I'm on 6000 words! Congratz and proceed!
