Double Kamen Riders vs. King of All Ghosts
Pariah waited for the two Kamen Riders to reach him, each Riders had a fist charged up on either ectoplasm or necroplasm. Once they were within punching distance, Pariah grabbed the Riders' fists, but the power and momentum of their attacks forced the Ghost King back as he was pushed a few feet away from where he stood. Pariah smirked at the two humans before effortlessly lifting them up and throwing to the side, causing both Riders to cry out as they hit the ground. Danny and Duncan tried to pick themselves back up, only to see the Ghost King fire two massive ghost rays at them.
"OH SHIT!" the two of them screamed out as they rolled out of the way of the two ectoplasm beams, barely avoiding the powerful attack.
"Damn…" Duncan muttered as he got back on his feet, his armor still adjusting to the mix of ectoplasm and necroplasm, resulting in sparks of ghost-like electricity going through it. "I figured he'd be strong, but wasn't expecting this," he complained.
"Really?" Danny replied as he stood up. "Cause I'm pretty sure him being the Ghost King wasn't just a fancy title," he retorted.
"So what?" Duncan said as he mentally pumped himself up. "We're Kamen Riders," he added, focusing on the advancing Pariah.
"Damn straight," Danny nodded his head as he too, focused on Pariah.
Just as Pariah took another step toward them, Danny and Duncan practically threw themselves at the Ghost King, intent on taking him down. Pariah fired another ghost ray at them, but the two Kamen Riders evaded the beam, continuing their way in a sudden pincer strike. Seeing them approaching from his flanks, Pariah raised his arms up to block Danny's roundhouse kick and Duncan's haymaker. Undeterred, Danny and Duncan pressed on their attacks while forcing Pariah to split his focus on the two Kamen Riders.
Fortunately for the two boys, their attacks were not in sync resulting in Pariah having a tough time reading their moves as he constantly alternated his focus on each boy. He tried to create a duplicate of himself, but the constant attacks from both Kamen Riders made it difficult for Pariah to concentrate on making a copy of himself. Realizing that he won't have time to concentrate on making a duplicate, Pariah instead focused his ectoplasm into his body before unleashing a powerful shockwave of ectoplasm from his body. The shockwave was strong enough to knock Danny and Duncan several feet away from the Ghost King, but Danny managed to use the momentum of the shockwave to somersault backwards before landing on his feet. Duncan, on the other hand simply landed on his back before picking himself back up.
"Okay, now I'm pissed," Duncan growled out as his body continued sparking as he charged at Pariah.
Danny followed suit as the two of them attacked Pariah with a barrage of punches and kicks. Pariah tried to repeat the same shockwave attack from earlier, but Danny and Duncan were able to prevent him from doing so as Danny drove his right leg into the Ghost King's stomach while Duncan distracted him with his continued flurry of punches. The force of Danny's kick caused Pariah to vomit out ectoplasm, coating Danny's shin and calf before he could pull his leg away.
"That is just nasty," Danny commented, his look of disgust hidden behind his mask.
"I...I'll kill you boy," Pariah growled out, only to punched in the face by Duncan.
"Don't forget I'm here too asshole," Duncan told the Ghost King as he charged up his fists with the mixture of ectoplasm and necroplasm.
Since he was focused on the fight, Duncan never noticed the change to his armor. The red on his bodysuit had a much darker shade while the black spider designed chest armor had a more metallic shine, making it look more like obsidian. The blades were also much smaller and had this obsidian look as well. The large blades that rested over his shoulders now looked like small curved spikes facing forward. His arm blades were smaller and thinner while facing backwards with the tips of the blades going past his elbows. The blades on his hips were now daggers, and the leg blades were also smaller and resting just below his knees. The noticeable change to his armor gave Duncan the added bonus of being much faster than he was before as he quickly darted around Pariah and grabbed the Ghost King's waist.
"What in the…" Pariah started to say as Duncan attempted to lift him off the ground.
However, Pariah was much heavier than the spider themed Kamen Rider expected as he struggled to lift the Ghost King off his feet.
"Such a foolish…" Pariah was cut off as Danny's foot collided with his face due to the alligator themed Kamen Rider did a flying side kick.
The momentum from Danny's kick gave Duncan the extra amount of force he needed to lift Pariah off the ground before returning him head first to the ground with a German Suplex. Danny followed up Duncan's attack with an elbow drop to Pariah's throat. The impact of Danny's elbow caused Pariah to grab his own throat to cover it as he coughed. Duncan pushed Pariah's body away from him, caused the king to roll forward while he got back up while Danny jumped away from Pariah.
Pariah's rage was building up as he found these two humans to be infuriating with their ways of fighting. He unleashed a shockwave to push the boys even further away from him before picking himself back up.
"You…two…DARE TO MAKE A FOOL OUT OF ME!" Pariah roared as he took to the air. "NEVER IN A THOUSAND YEARS HAS ANYONE DONE THAT TO ME!" he continued shouting in rage.
"Better get used to it your highness," Duncan mocked Pariah, enraging him even more. "Cause we're just getting started," he added.
"Then I will make sure that I'll be the one who finishes it," Pariah said in a chillingly calm manner as he took off the Ring of Rage off.
Elsewhere
Off to the distance, Dani had regained her consciousness as she lifted herself off the ground.
"Wha…?" the ghost princess said as she looked around to see the battle raging on as the White Riders fired at the Thralls and the ghosts of the few Kamen Riders that came to Danny's aid assisted the white Pseudo Riders. "Where am I?" she wondered, confused as to how she found herself in the middle of a battlefield.
"Glad to see that you're awake," a male voice said from behind Dani.
The ghost girl turned around to see a Kamen Rider that was very similar to Danny's original Rider form, but had gray gloves and boots instead of white. She was a little confused, but she recognized the voice as Vince's.
"How did I get here?" Dani asked as she approached the human.
"He brought you here," Vince said as he pointed at the defeated Walker with his thumb.
Dani took one look at the headless Walker and gasped as she remembered what the ghost warden did to the Fenton household.
"Oh no, Jazz!" Dani cried out as she feared the worse.
"Well worry about that later," Vince told the ghost girl, shocking her with how calm he sounded.
"How can you be so…" Dani was about to ask but Vince cut her off.
"I'm not calm," Vince said, his tone emotionless. "I'm pissed and worried, but right now we have a job to do," he told Dani as he pointed at where Danny and Duncan were fighting Pariah.
Dani looked to see her father floating in the air. She squinted as she noticed Pariah pluck something from his left hand, her eyes widening as she realized what he was about to do.
"We can't let him swallow the Ring of Rage!" Dani shouted as she took to the air.
"Swallow what!?" Vince shouted in confusion before following after Dani.
Dani didn't explain, she was too focused on stopping her father from doing what he was about to do. Sadly, her starting point was about a quarter of a mile away and Dani was still recovering from the blow she received from Walker knocking her out. So, despite her efforts, she wasn't able to stop her father from ingesting the Ring of Rage.
The effects were almost instant as powerful shockwaves were bursting out of Pariah's body, forcing those near him to brace themselves as they were being pushed back by the barrage of shockwaves. Danny and Duncan struggled to withstand the onslaught of shockwaves that continued to erupt from Pariah's body.
"Damn it!" Duncan shouted as he dropped to his knees, the blades on his legs digging into the ground to anchor him down as the shockwaves intensified. "Bastard won't let up," he growled out, glaring at the Ghost King.
"There's…gotta…be a way to stop him," Danny struggled to say as he tried to keep his footing, until he could no longer feel the shockwaves. "What the?" he said, confused as to why the shockwaves have stopped so suddenly.
The two Kamen Riders looked up to see Pariah slowly descend to the ground. Physically, there was no change to the Ghost King, yet the two of them could feel that he was different to how he was in the beginning of their fight. The most unsettling thing was the smile on Pariah's face as he reached for the Crown of Fire on top of his head. Danny and Duncan's eyes widened inside their masks as they saw Pariah's mouth open far wider than it should, regardless of the man being a ghost.
"Oh no, not again," Danny muttered as he watched Pariah devour the Crown of Fire.
"NOT THIS TIME BASTARD!" Duncan shouted, charging at Pariah with his right arm drawn back.
"Wait for me man!" Danny called out as he followed Duncan's example, drawing his left arm back.
Just as they reached the Ghost King, the two Kamen Riders saw their opponent become engulfed in a vortex of flames. The spinning flames shot up toward sky, gaining the attention of all who were previously engaged in battle. Pariah's army of thralls cheered as they knew their lord's victory was assured while the humans and ghost Kamen Riders were in a state of uncertainty on whether the two American Kamen Riders would be able to handle the Ghost King.
Once the flames have finally died down, Danny and Duncan looked to see Pariah. Like before, there was no visible difference in Pariah's form, but the two of them noticed that the whitish glow that many ghosts have is much more intense. In fact, the glowing aura around Pariah was more flame like, as if his entire being was lit on fire. However, the most telling thing about the Ghost King now was how his eyes were nothing more than black pits, unnerving the two Kamen Riders a bit as Pariah stared them down.
"To think that I would be pushed this far," Pariah said, his sounding as if it was coming from a far-off distance rather than being merely feet away from the two boys. "And by two humans that fooled around with my kinds very essence," he lamented.
"What can I say, we're just that good," Duncan boasted as he and Danny took on fighting stances.
"Then I will have to rectify that," Pariah said as he gathered ectoplasm into his hands before firing at the two Kamen Riders.
Danny and Duncan jumped to the sides to avoid the two powerful beams. Once the beams vanished, Pariah had already split himself into two and charged toward them at full speed. Danny was able to avoid Pariah's charge by phasing through the Ghost King; however, Duncan wasn't so lucky as he found himself tackled by the Pariah that he was facing.
The Pariah that had tackled Duncan continued his full-on blitz as he and Duncan exited the campus ground and plowed right through the building across from it. The impact from colliding with the building was so forceful that if it weren't for his armor taking most of the force, Duncan would have had a broken back at best. Yet it would appear that Pariah wasn't satisfied with just a simple tackle as he continued flying the two of them through the building, hitting every wall that was in their path.
'I gotta get him off of me,' Duncan thought as he felt his back hitting another wall. He moved his arms to his hips to grab the daggers. "Take his ASSHOLE!" he shouted before jamming the daggers into the sides of Pariah's head.
Pariah cried out in pain, releasing Duncan as the two of them had just finished smashing their way out of the building. This resulted in Duncan still flying backwards before rolling further away as soon as he came in contact with the ground. He finally came to a halt just before his body got close to a new model sports car.
"Fucking Hell," Duncan groaned out as he struggled to get back up, using the car to help keep him stable.
Once he was on his feet, Duncan felt the air in front of him shift as one of his daggers impaled itself into the car's door. He jerked his head back before he turned to see the Pariah that he was fighting approaching him, pulling out the other dagger out of his head. Grabbing the dagger imbedded into the car, Danny turned to face this duplicate of the Ghost King.
"Okay…let's go," Duncan said as he charged at his foe.
Danny's fight
For Danny, the Pariah he was fighting threw several ectoplasm spheres at him. The spheres were as large as Danny's body, so they were actually easy to dodge but the explosions from them when they hit the ground was strong enough to knock Danny off balance. Growling in anger, Danny created a duplicate of his Artillery Mode to shoot at the ectoplasm spheres. As his duplicate took care of the spheres, Danny charged at the Pariah he had to fight. Once he was close, Danny threw a punch at Pariah, but his punch was blocked by Pariah while charging up another ectoplasm sphere that he planned to fire at point-blank. Luckily for Danny, his duplicate shot at the large sphere, causing it to explode.
The resulting explosion knocked Pariah off his feet while Danny phased through the explosion. After the explosion cleared, Danny formed his Alligator Mace to strike at Pariah. He alligator head opened up as he thrust toward Pariah's leg, it clamped down on the Ghost King's leg causing him to cry out in pain. Once the leg was secured, Danny turned around, flipped Pariah over, and slammed him onto the ground. After slamming the Ghost King onto the ground, Danny spun around, dragging him across the ground before throwing the king out of the school ground and into another building.
Before Danny could make a comment, Pariah appeared right before him, perfectly fine. Danny jumped back, shocked to see how the Ghost King had not only returned so quickly, but that Danny's attack had done nothing to the king.
"Is that your best?" Pariah taunted Danny before firing an ectoplasm beam at Danny's gut.
Danny screamed out in pain as the blast sent him flying skywards, miles away from the school. Not wanting to give his foe a chance to recover, Pariah shot toward Danny faster than the young Kamen Rider thought was possible, resulting in the Ghost King practically hovering over him. Pariah grabbed Danny by his throat before plunging the two of them into the ground below. Rather than crashing into the ground, Pariah had phased the two through the street and into the sewer.
Crashing into the sewage, Danny found himself submerged while Pariah held him under the murky water. The stench was nauseating to say the least, but Danny's main concern was how he was running out of air in his lungs. Even though he was granted ghost powers by the Phantom Driver and was slowly changing due to the exposure of ectoplasm, Danny was still physically a human and needed air in order to survive. Pariah did not have that problem as he continued to hold Danny under the sewer water while the boy desperately struggled.
"It's a pity that you humans die so easily," Pariah lamented as he continued to watch Danny struggled to break free from his grip. "Because in the last thousands of years, you have given me the greatest of challenges," he told Danny before a red glint caught his attention.
Looking to the source of the glint, Pariah spotted what appeared to be a red jewel. The Reality Gauntlet on his left arm started to glow as well. The king of ghosts couldn't believe that the Gem of Power was here in this disgusting underground river of human excrement and garbage. Yet, the resonating from the Reality Gauntlet did not lie.
"The final gem!" Pariah shouted as he released his hold on Danny and made his way toward the gem.
It was at that moment that Danny shot up from under the sewage and gasped from air. The air within the sewer was just as disgusting as the sewage washing over his lower half, but at the moment Danny didn't care. His body needed air, and he wasn't going to be picky about what kind at the moment. Once he recovered, Danny turned his attention towards the back of Pariah and charged at the Ghost King, intent on keeping the Gem away from him.
'I don't know how that gem got here, but I'm not letting that bastard get his hands on it,' Danny mentally declared as he tackled Pariah into the sewer water.
Once the two bodies hit the water, the resulting wave pushed the Gem of Power down the current, causing it to drift further away from the Ghost King. As the gem floated onwards, Danny and Pariah emerged from the sewer water, the Ghost King punching the Kamen Rider in the gut before turning around to go after the gem. Pariah barely waded through the water before getting kicked in the back by Danny, who had recovered far quicker than Pariah expected.
"You are a persistent one, aren't you child?" Pariah remarked as he turned to face the young Kamen Rider once again.
"Comes with the job," Danny replied as he created two alligator tail swords.
"Of course, it does," Pariah said as he waited for Danny to make a move.
Danny and Pariah stood their ground as they each waited for one of them to strike. The only sound that could be heard was the rushing sewer water that flowed from the drains. Before either of them could make their move, a large section of the concert above them collapsed with two figures dropping in. Danny backed away as one of the two figures rolled toward him before standing up to reveal that it was Duncan. The other figure turned out to the be the other Pariah that Duncan was fighting.
"Nice of you to drop in," Danny remarked.
"I'll ignore that pun," Duncan replied, taking in the fact that he found himself in a sewer. "You couldn't have picked a better place to fight?" he retorted.
"That's on him," Danny pointed at the Ghost King.
Once the two Kamen Riders turned their attention toward the Ghost King and his double, they noticed that the two Pariahs were reforming into one being. It was at that point that Pariah fired two ghost rays at the two teens, knocking them on their backs before turning around to find the Gem of Power once again.
"Now for the gem," Pariah said as he raised his gauntlet covered hand toward the current.
The Reality Gauntlet began to glow red, drawing in the Gem of Power as it too began glowing red. The gem began to move against the sewer's current and return to the Ghost King. Just as the glow of the Gem got closer, Pariah was tackled into the sewage by Danny and Duncan, breaking his concentration as he fell. This resulted in the glow of the gem to fade as it was swept up in the current once again.
"NO!" Pariah shouted, enraged that the Gem of Power was out of his reach once again. He knocked the two Kamen Riders off of him as he stood up. "I will make sure the two of you suffer for your defiance!" he declared as he turned his attention toward the living Kamen Riders.
"Fine with me," Duncan replied as he cracked his knuckles. "The longer we waste your time, the harder it gets for you," he told the king.
"You really should have seen this coming," Danny joined in. "We're pretty much here just to screw up your plans," he added before charging at Pariah with Duncan following close behind.
The Surface
While Danny and Duncan continued their fight against Pariah, their allies were able to push Pariah's forces back. The White Riders had surrounded the Thrall army with the Ghost Kamen Riders were taking down the guards that Walker had brought. As for Vince, Sam, and Vlad; the three of them were outside of the perimeter recovering from the battle. Up above them was Dani and Desiree, the two of them keeping an eye out for any more of Pariah's forces popping up.
"How are you holding up Sam?" Vince asked the Goth girl.
"I…I'm…doing fine," Sam said, trying to catch her breath.
"Good, because I need you to head back to Fenton Works," Vince told Sam.
"What, why?" Sam asked.
"I need you to find out if Jazz and the others are okay," Vince answered. "That ghost warden may have destroyed the place, but I doubt he actually killed any of them," he said.
"Okay, but why can't…" Sam tried to say but was cut off.
"Because I need to keep an eye on someone," Vince interrupted the girl, looking at Vlad.
"Why Vincent, I'm hurt that you would suspect that I would do something that would betray your trust," Vlad said in a faux wounded tone. "We made a deal, don't you remember?" he added.
"Yes, I remember," Vince said, not letting Vlad out of his sight.
Sam could feel the hostility flowing out of Vince's body and all of it directed at Vlad.
"Okay, I'll go check out the house," Sam said as she stepped away from the two older men.
"And take Dani with you," Vince told Sam, drawing the attention of the ghost girl when she heard her name.
"Why do I have to go too?" Dani asked as she floated down toward Vince.
"Because you were there, and the further away you are from Vlad, the better," Vince explained to the ghost princess. "Now go!" he ordered the two girls.
Knowing that arguing with Vince wouldn't do her any good, Sam grabbed Dani and dragged the poor girl away from the campus grounds.
"I must say Vincent, you have such a way with children," Vlad said as he watched the two girls leave the area.
Vince ignored Vlad's quip, instead his mind was on how Danny and Duncan were doing against the Ghost King. While he couldn't see their fight, Vince could only hope that the two of them were doing fine.
Back in the Sewer
Pariah knocked Duncan away with a powerful uppercut with his left arm. Danny jumped to the side, avoiding Duncan's body and used the wall his was closest to give him the extra momentum he needed before throwing an ectoplasm charged punch at Pariah's head. The force behind Danny's punch was enough to knock the Ghost King off balance.
Enraged, Pariah grabbed Danny's outstretched arm and pulled the boy closer to him, headbutting Danny's face. The young human was lucky that his helmet took most of the blow, but he was still stunned as Pariah threw him into the sewer water. As soon as Danny hit the water, two short blades were flying towards Pariah's head from under the water. Acting quickly, Pariah turned intangible just in time for the blades to go right through him.
"How is possible that you boys do not realize that the two of you cannot win?" Pariah wondered as he turned tangible.
It was at that point where Duncan appeared behind the Ghost King and stabbed him in the back with the knee blades. Pariah let out a loud yell before Duncan grabbed him in a rear naked chokehold.
"W-w-what?" Pariah managed to choke out while Duncan tightened his hold.
"Danny, NOW!" Duncan shouted to his partner.
Danny erupted from the water, an alligator saber in each hand, and plunged the swords into Pariah's chest. The blades went through the Ghost King's body while Duncan turned intangible to avoid being impaled as well. This also caused Duncan's hold on Pariah's body to vanish while he turned tangible before touching the ground. The arm blades on Duncan's arms rotated around, his hands grabbing the grips as they detached from his arms. Duncan plunged his own blades onto Pariah's back, causing the Ghost King to cry out in pain once again. The two Kamen Riders jumped away from Pariah, making sure they are far away from him in case Pariah would counterattack.
"Let's finish this!" Danny called out to Duncan as he charged up his legs with ectoplasm.
"HELL YEAH!" Duncan shouted in agreement as he charged his entire body with both ectoplasm and necroplasm.
However, before the two of them could launch any attacks, Pariah let out a shout that was so loud that the air around them was cracking.
"Oh, give us a break!" both Kamen Rider yelled out as they saw the cracks in the air getting longer.
"He's tearing through our world with just his voice," Danny said in disbelief.
The cracks surrounding the three combatants were growing more frequent, breaking apart the boundary between the living world and the Ghost Zone. Once Pariah stopped shouting, the cracks stopped as well for a moment before the area around them exploded into shards. Danny and Duncan, shocked by what just happened, didn't realize that their bodies were being sucked into the Ghost Zone along with Pariah.
The Ghost Zone
"What the Hell?" Duncan said as he found himself floating in a strange, otherworldly place.
"Oh great, back in the Ghost Zone," Danny said, annoyed that he was back here.
"You've been here?" Duncan asked as he floated toward Danny, or at least he tried to as his body didn't move from where he "landed" when he arrived in the Ghost Zone.
"Didn't I already tell about it?" Danny responded, though he had to admit that he wasn't sure that he did.
Before Duncan could answer, the two American Kamen Riders noticed Pariah floating above them. The four blades that impaled him were gone, and the Ghost King did not look pleased to see the two of them.
"You both have caused me enough trouble in your world," Pariah said in a low tone, practically growling at the two humans. "Then my domain shall be YOUR GRAVES!" he shouted as he flew at them.
"OH SHIT!" the two Kamen Riders shouted together as they tried to brace themselves for what was to come.
Pariah grabbed both of them by their helmets and charged through the area, slamming them both into a floating cliff. The two Kamen Riders struggled with Pariah's grip as they felt their backs collide with several floating boulders. Danny and Duncan drew their fists back, Danny used his left while Duncan used his right, and delivered a double uppercut into the Ghost King's stomach. The dual impact caused Pariah to let go of the two humans, resulting in them being free, but also continuing to soar backwards due to the momentum of Pariah's charge.
Danny was the first to recover as he channeled the ectoplasm within his armor to stop himself from continuing to move backwards. Duncan used his blades to catch himself onto a boulder, causing the boulder to slow down his momentum somewhat before he used it as a springboard to launch himself back to where Danny was floating. Once Duncan was close, Danny stretched out his left hand for his friend to grab a hold of while also halting Duncan's jump.
"I think we made him angry," Duncan jokingly remarked.
"Well let's see if we can make him madder," Danny replied, believing they might just be able to win this fight after all.
The two Kamen Riders turned their attention back to Pariah as he charged toward them once again. This time, instead of bracing themselves, Danny and Duncan charged forward with the intent of engaging their foe head on. The two of them charged up their bodies as they reached the ghost king, drawing their fists back before delivering a powerful blow at Pariah.
A massive flash of light engulfed the area and a loud booming sound could be heard throughout the Ghost Zone.
The light faded to reveal Pariah in a stunned state as the right side of his torso and his left leg were obliterated while behind him, Danny and Duncan tried to slow themselves down before finally stopping ten yards away from the injured ghost king. The two humans turned around to see the damage they did and felt waves of relief wash over them, satisfied with what they did. However, their relief was brief as Pariah's bod started to regrow his lost body parts.
"Are you fucking kidding me," Duncan growled out in anger as the blades around his body started to glow and separate from his armor. "Why won't you just DIE!" he shouted as he moved his arms forward, launching the blades at Pariah.
Danny joined in by created an Artillery Mode doppelganger and had it fire a barrage of ectoplasm bullets at Pariah.
The assault of attacks continued for several minutes before the two Kamen Riders finally stopped. They looked to see Pariah was filled with holes and cuts, making the two of them believe that they won.
"Heh, heh, heh…" a chuckled could be heard from Pariah's position.
Before either could say anything, Danny and Duncan watched in stunned horror as Pariah's body was engulfed in a green flame. The flame lasted only for a couple of seconds before vanishing, leaving only Pariah in a whole new form. It was a much slender form, almost familiar to the two Kamen Riders. Pariah turned around to face the two human Kamen Riders, allowing them to get a good look at the new form of Pariah Dark, causing them to gasp at the sight.
While he was indeed taller than them, Danny and Duncan can clearly see that the built was a nearly perfect copy of Danny original Rider form. Even the colors were a perfect match to Danny's, but the main differences were the lack of the ectoplasm scarf and that the Reality Gauntlet on his left arm was still there. Instead, Pariah had a large green fire crown that was adorn on top of his head. Pariah examined his new form, getting a feel for the change before turning his attention to the boys.
"How do you like the new me children?" Pariah asked in a taunting manner. "Someone once said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery," he added. "So, do you feel flattered?" he threw in such a condescending compliment.
Rather than answer, Danny and Duncan flew at Pariah with the intent of putting an end to all of this. Smirking under his helmet, Pariah thrusted his arms to his sides and into small portals. By the time the two reached him, Pariah's fists hit both Kamen Riders by the sides of their heads, causing them to collide with each other. As they tried to regain their balance, Pariah vanished in a green flame before either Kamen Rider could notice.
Danny barely had any time to react as he saw a white gloved hand appear out of a swirl of green fire and was shot by a powerful ectoplasm beam, sending him flying away from Duncan. Duncan in turn saw Pariah emerge from the green fire before turning his attention toward the red Rider. Acting fast, Duncan lunged at Pariah, a necroplasm charged fist aimed at the imposter Kamen Rider's head. Yet the attack did not connect as Pariah created a small portal between his hands and placed it in front of his face.
Danny recovered from the blast just in time to see a small portal appear in front of him. Sadly, his mind didn't process what was happening and met Duncan's necroplasm charged fist. Yelling out in pain, Danny fell backwards while his hands covered his face on reflex. Once he removed his hands, Danny looked to see Duncan trying to hit Pariah but wasn't able to land a blow.
"That bastard…" Danny growled out as he flew at the two fighters.
Duncan threw another punch at Pariah, but the ghost king teleported in a burst of green fire once again. The flame reappeared behind Duncan with Pariah about to strike at the human's backside. Realizing what was about to happen, Duncan turned to his side and blocked the attack with his left arm.
"Not this time asshole," Duncan said as he swatted Pariah's arm away just in time for Danny to fly over his head and launched a flying roundhouse kick to Pariah's head.
Once again, Pariah avoided the attack by teleporting and reappearing five feet away from the two Kamen Riders. Rather than let Pariah attack them from a distance, Danny and Duncan charged at the ghost king once again, unleashing a barrage of punches and kicks. Unfortunately, Pariah was able to read their moves and effortlessly dodge all their attacks. The two Kamen Riders each drew a fist back and prepared to punch Pariah at the same time, but once their fists got close, Pariah grabbed their fists, barely feeling the power behind their punches.
The shockwave from their punches blew past the Ghost King and left two large craters on a floating cliff. Pariah turned his head to see the damage and was moderately impressed by the strength of the two Kamen Riders.
"Oh…that's quite impressive," Pariah remarked before pushing the two Kamen Riders away from him. "Yet all of that power is meaningless if you two…." he started to tell them but was interrupted by Danny sending a doppelganger of his Zect Mode at him.
Pariah dodged the charging doppelganger, but the Zect Mode was a distraction as both Danny and Duncan landed a Double Rider Kick on the ghost king. The force of the kicks sent Pariah flying toward the damaged cliff, managing to stun him for a moment. Yet that moment was enough for Danny and Duncan to reach the ghost king. Pariah tried to fire a ghost ray with his left arm, but Duncan got in close and grabbed his arm.
The Red Kamen Rider held onto the Reality Gauntlet while Danny unleashed a powerful sidekick, pushing Pariah deeper into the cliff. The force of the kick wasn't enough to free the Reality Gauntlet from Pariah's arm, but it was enough to at least rattle one of the gems loose. Duncan used this as his chance to pry the loose gem off the gauntlet before moving away. He looked down at his hand to see that he was holding Gem of Form.
Pariah broke himself free from the cliff, angry at how these two humans before noticing that the red one was holding onto one of the gems. He looked down to the Reality Gauntlet to see the Gem of Form wasn't in the gauntlet.
"HAND OVER THAT GEM!" Pariah roared as he flew at the two Kamen Riders at high speeds.
Before Pariah reached Duncan, Danny intercepted the ghost king and threw out a high sidekick aimed at the head. Pariah was not expecting the green Kamen Rider to interfere and was knocked back by the force of the kick. This gave Duncan the chance to decide what he should do with the gem in his hand.
'One of these gems that have been giving us so much shit,' Duncan thought to himself before turning his attention to Pariah getting back on his feet. "You want it…" he said as his free hand was glowing with necroplasm. "well…FUCK YOU!" he shouted as he slammed his hands together.
"NOOOOOOO!" Pariah shouted as he watched the Gem of Form shatter.
This drove Pariah over the edge as he unleashed a massive shockwave that knocked Danny away from the shockwave. He charged up his ectoplasm into his hands before firing it at Duncan. Duncan managed to dodge the attack and countered by throwing one of his blades at Pariah. Rather than deflecting the attack, Pariah simply turned intangible so that the blade would go through him. Once he turned tangible, Danny took this as his chance to attack Pariah by striking him in the back with a charged-up punch.
Pariah yelled out in pain before turning his attention toward Danny. Yet this distraction allowed Duncan to close the gap between them and tackled the ghost king from behind. Danny joined in by kicking Pariah while Duncan let go of him. Danny tried to kick Pariah again, but the ghost king grabbed Danny's leg and swung him around to hit Duncan. Duncan ducked just as Danny's body reach him and countered with an uppercut with his right hand. Pariah let go of Danny, resulting in the demonic Kamen Rider to regain control of his body by spinning sideways before landing on his feet and rushing back into the fight.
Now back in the fight, Danny and Duncan began a relentless assault on Pariah, making sure he didn't have any chance to counterattack and forced him on the defensive. Pariah blocked one of Duncan's punches and tried to throw a punch of his own, but Danny grabbed his arm before turning around and executed a seoi nage, sending Pariah onto the ground and giving Duncan the chance to stomp onto the ghost king's head.
However, Pariah turned into a burst of green flames to teleport away from the two Kamen Riders just as Duncan's foot came in contact with the ground.
"Damn it, this again," Duncan growled out in annoyance as he and Danny looked around to see where Pariah would pop up from.
The green flame appeared in front of them before the two Kamen Riders felt a fist hit their guts. The two stumbled back as Pariah appeared, standing over them.
"It took centuries for these gems to form," Pariah told his mortal foes. "Now I have to wait for the Gem of Form to reform," he continued. "So, I'll make sure that you both suffer for just as long," he added.
"LIKE THAT'S GONNA HAPPEN ASSHOLE!" both Kamen Riders yelled as they struck at Pariah once again.
Danny aimed low with a roundhouse kick while Duncan went high with a lariat. Pariah teleported to avoid the attacks, but the two Kamen Riders weren't going to give up after missing. Instead, the two of them regained their footing before standing back to back as Pariah continued teleporting around them.
"I got him," Danny said as he created his Alligator Mace, keeping an eye on the green flames warping around.
"No, you don't," Duncan said back as he summoned his blades and reformed them into one massive sword.
Turned out Duncan was right as Pariah appeared before him and attacked with an ectoplasm charged bludgeon swung at his head. Expecting it, Duncan blocked the attack with the sword. Danny capitalized on Duncan defending them and phased through the red Kamen Rider while swinging his mace at Pariah. Realizing what Danny was doing, Pariah teleported away and reappeared behind Danny, this time with a large axe in his left hand held over his head.
The ghost king brought the axe down onto Danny's back, but Danny kept on spinning and caught the axe with the opened 'maw' of his mace. Duncan phased through Danny's body and thrusted his sword at Pariah, who teleported once again to avoid them.
"I'm getting really fucking tired of him doing that," Duncan growled out as he and Danny took on the defensive once again.
"There's gotta be a way to stop him from teleporting," Danny said as he kept his eyes on the green flames flickering in and out of his line of sight.
"Well if this bastard likes cheating, then why don't we?" Duncan suggested.
When he heard what Duncan was suggesting, Danny started to remember something his Uncle told him.
Your enemy can't hit you if they can't see you…and they can't hit you if you can phase through their attacks.
"Then I guess we need to start fighting like ghosts," Danny said as he got rid of his mace.
"Fight like ghosts…" Duncan repeated, slowly getting what Danny was saying. "Worth a shot," he said as his sword changed back into multiple blades and reattached themselves onto his body.
With that said, the two Kamen Riders charged at Pariah once again while the ghost king took a defensive stance. Danny took the lead, dashing toward Pariah with an ectoplasm charged fist aimed for his head. Once Danny fist got close to him, Pariah turned intangible causing Danny to phase through him without harming him. Before Pariah could turn tangible, he spotted Duncan flying toward him in a dropkick position making Pariah stay intangible to avoid that attack as well. Once Duncan had completely phased through him, Pariah turn tangible while charging his right hand with ectoplasm. The king of ghosts turned around and was about to blast the two Kamen Riders, but was caught off guard when he felt a powerful unseen blow hit him across his face. The blow caused Pariah to lose focus, resulting in the ectoplasm to disperse from his hand before another solid blow hit his stomach. Pariah stumbled back as the invisible force that assaulted him became visible, revealing Kamen Rider Phantom appearing before him.
"You miserable little…" Pariah was cut off when he found himself launched into the air by Duncan, who suddenly appeared in front of him and threw a powerful uppercut.
Danny followed up with Duncan's attack by launching himself into the air, unleashing a powerful flying sidekick, hitting Pariah's chest. The impact of the kick was enough to send Pariah sailing away from the two Kamen Riders. Once Danny landed on the ground next to Duncan, the two Kamen Riders barely had time to register a massive green fiery blur speeding towards them.
It was Pariah, with both of his fists aimed forward while the green flame was spiraling around his body. He flew past both Kamen Riders, sending them flying away, engulfed in green fire. Danny and Duncan screamed out in pain as the flames' heat managed to bypass their armors and burn them. The burning sensation ended as soon as they hit the ground. As the two Kamen Riders struggled to get up, Pariah landed on his feet and turned to face them once again. Danny noticed that Pariah's left hand was charging with ectoplasm once again.
"Maybe making the both of you suffer for thousands of years is far too much trouble," Pariah said as the ectoplasm in his hand became brighter. "Perhaps I should simply use your souls as a replacement for the Gem of Form instead," he suggested.
"FUCK YOU!" Duncan yelled as he charged at Pariah, his left-hand surging with necroplasm.
"YOU BASTARD!" Danny shouted as he joined Duncan, his right hand charged up with ectoplasm.
As they got closer to him, Pariah hurled the ectoplasm at the two American Kamen Riders. Danny and Duncan in turn, threw their ectoplasm and necroplasm charged punches at the ectoplasm projectile. The mixture of the three energies caused a massive flash of light and was followed by the sounds of an explosion and…shattering?
The area around the three combatants shattered like glass, leaving the two Kamen Riders and the ghost king floating in an empty void.
"What…that…?" Duncan said as he tried to get his bearings.
Danny was silent as he looked into the vast emptiness that surrounded him.
"Our attacks tore through the fabric of the Ghost Zone, sending us into a void of endless darkness," Pariah said as he stood twenty feet away from the two Kamen Riders. "A fitting place for the two of you to die in," he told his foes as he prepared to attack once again.
"Like Hell that's gonna happen!" Danny shouted, attacking first with a flying tornado kick.
Pariah leaned away from Danny's kick, but the alligator themed Kamen Rider pressed on his attack by following up with a spinning back kick with his other leg while still in the air. The second kick connected with Pariah's chest, but did little to injure the ghost king. Pariah in turn, struck Danny with an open palm strike to the head, knocking him away.
As Danny hit what may have been solid ground, Duncan charged forward unleashing a barrage of punches. None of his punches landed as Pariah effortlessly dodged each punch, yet Duncan continued his flurry of punches. Pariah was about to counter, but stopped when he saw a foot emerge from Duncan's head. The King barely had time to realize that this foot was Danny's, who had phased through Duncan to create an opening to strike Pariah in the head. The kick to his head caused Pariah to cover his face on reflex, leaving himself open for Duncan to phase through Danny and drive a fist into Pariah's stomach.
Recovering quickly, Pariah charged up another massive orb of ectoplasm and hurled it at the two Kamen Riders. This time, Danny and Duncan turned intangible to avoid the attack before rushing the ghost king. Duncan launched all of his blades at Pariah once again while Danny followed behind, creating two alligator tail sabers. Instead of dodging, Pariah knocked all the blades away with a wave of ectoplasm from his left hand before firing an ectoplasm ray at Duncan.
Duncan turned intangible to avoid the attack while Danny leapt into the air and flung the two swords at Pariah. Pariah blocked the swords with his left arm while continuing to fire the ectoplasm ray, forgetting that Duncan had turned intangible. Duncan, continued charging toward Pariah until he was just a few feet away from the ghost king. Still intangible, Duncan lunged at Pariah as he turned his left arm tangible, charged it up with necroplasm, and slugged the right side of Pariah's face.
The force behind the blow was enough to make Pariah fall onto his back. While on his back, Pariah saw Danny descending down upon him, an ectoplasm charged kick aimed at his head. Just as Danny reached him, Pariah teleported away from the attack and reappeared behind Danny after the boy landed. As soon as he turned around, Danny was hit by a powerful punch to his stomach by Pariah. Pariah followed up on the attack with a back-fist strike to the head and finished with a sidekick that pushed the young Kamen Rider away from him.
After Danny was knocked away, Duncan charged at Pariah, launching himself into the air with the intent of taking the ghost king down with a body splash. Danny on the other hand, picked himself back up and launched himself at Pariah once again.
Pariah avoided Duncan's attack with ease, yet he left himself wide open for Danny to strike him in the back with a kick. The force of Danny's kick caused Pariah to lurch forward where Duncan recovered from his miss and unleashed a powerful uppercut to Pariah's gut. The blow from his punch was strong enough to launch Pariah into the air, allowing Duncan and Danny to charge their bodies with enough power to finish Pariah.
"We better make this count," Danny told Duncan as he felt the ectoplasm in his body surge throughout.
"It's do or die now," Duncan said as the mixture of necroplasm and ectoplasm course through his body.
"Then…LET'S GO!" Danny shouted as he and Duncan launched themselves at Pariah.
The ghost king had regained control of his body in time to see the two Kamen Riders soaring towards him.
"RIDER DOUBLE KICK!" the two Kamen Riders shouted as they launched their team attack at Pariah.
Pariah brought his hands forward, blocking their attacks. The power behind the three combatants was so intense the void around them started to glow bright white for a moment before returning to darkness while an enormous shockwave rocked the unknown domain. The king of all ghosts found himself struggling to keep the attacks at bay. The power was so strong, the Reality Gauntlet was starting to crack under the pressure, and the remaining two gems were flying away from it.
"No…this CANNOT BE!" Pariah cried out in disbelief as the Reality Gauntlet finally shattered.
Not wanting to give Pariah time to retaliate, Danny and Duncan broke off their Rider Kicks and moved themselves forward, each with a fist pulled back. Danny's right fist was charged with ectoplasm while Duncan's left fist was filled with necroplasm.
"DOUBLE RIDER PUNCH!" the two Kamen Rider shouted as they brought their fists to Pariah's head.
The power behind both punches sent Pariah careening downwards, breaking through the void's "ground" and continued sending him down. Pariah screamed in pain and horror as he couldn't stop himself from descending into the unknown as the "ground" sealed itself.
Danny and Duncan floated in the void, waiting to see if Pariah would emerge and continue his attack.
It felt like an eternity, but Pariah did not emerge from the void, which was making the two Kamen Riders anxious as they didn't believe they had truly defeated Pariah Dark.
"Do…do you think he's done?" Duncan asked, his breathing was quite heavy.
"God, I hope so," Danny said, exhaustion threatening to take over his body.
"He won't be recovering soon enough," a new voice said from behind the two boys.
The two American Kamen Riders turned around to see another ghost floating before them. This one was constantly shifting between the forms of a toddler, a young man, and an elderly man.
"Who the Hell are you?" Duncan demanded an answer from this ghost.
"I am Clockwork, the ghost of time," the ghost introduced himself. "And as unbelievable as it may seem, the two of you have defeated Pariah Dark," the he told the boys.
"So, it's over?" Danny asked, not feeling any hostile intent from this ghost.
"For now, it is over," Clockwork said. "It will take Pariah Dark centuries to free himself," he added.
"I think I can live with that," Duncan said. "Unless we're stuck here for just as long," he realized that might be possible with their current situation.
"That would be the case, but not this time," Clockwork said, chuckling at the end. "It's time for you boys to return to your world," he told them as he created a portal back to earth.
"But what about the gems?" Danny asked.
"They will return at their own accord," Clockwork answered as he ushered the two Kamen Riders back to their home world.
Once the two Kamen Riders entered the portal, the ghost of time took a look at the dark void.
"Enjoy your new prison my liege, for an endless plain of darkness is the idle place for one as wicked as you," the ancient ghost said before entering the portal himself.
Author's note: Once again, it has taken me far too long to work on this story, but I do believe that I have reached the end point of the story. I have one more chapter to go, so hopefully you all won't have to wait an unreasonable amount of time for that one. Though given how I'm putting Out of Control in Remnant on hold just to finish this up, I should be able to achieve my goal of finishing the Kamen Rider Phantom story.
