"Come on, Jasper!" I hissed.

It's been a week. We were in the backyard and Jasper was teaching me how to fight. After twelve hours of persuading, Jasper had agreed to teach me how to fight. My family had completely opposed this idea, but my Mom had come to my side. And when Mom takes a decision, Dad always agreed. I had listened carefully to everything Jasper had said and did accordingly. He complimented me saying that I was a fast learner which was not for cheering me up, but the very truth. According to Jasper, strength was not important to win a fight. It was always strategy. I initially regretted asking Jasper to teach and thought I should have gone to Emmett, but it was when I began fighting with Emmett that I understood that I had chosen the right person.

Emmett was good, but he was dumb and so it was very easy to defeat him. Under normal circumstances, I would have hurrayed and teased Emmett for losing to a little girl, but today I was not the little girl Nessie. I was Renesmee, the half human-half vampire, who wanted to avenge Jake's injury. Yes. My entire family had opposed this idea but I was never giving up.

"Renesmee, I did not allow you to learn from Jasper so that you would go around killing people," Dad had yelled at me.

"Dad, you know I am going to kill that moron even if you say no. You might as well help me," I'd said and waved them off.

"Focus, Renesmee," Jasper growled. I growled back in irritation. It was very difficult to defeat Jasper-he always had the best ideas and moves, not to mention how annoyingly fast he was. "You are not doing good."

This made me more furious. "You are so gonna lose, Jasper!" I hissed and ducked when his arms tried to catch me. I made a swift jump and sat on his shoulders, grabbing his hair in one hansd and his neck in the other. "There!" I said and he sighed- the sign of defeat. I jumped down and half smiled at him.

"Good job, kid," he patted my shoulders and made his way to the house.

"Renesmee, are you sure you wanna do this?" Rose asked me, her eyes filled with pity.

"Are you doubting my abilities, Rose?"

"No, I just don't like this."

"I will kill him, Rose. He hurt Jacob. He hurt me."

"Nessie, lis-,"

I jumped up to the window and went to Jake's room. "Jake, how are you?"

"Nessie, is there something I should know?" he asked me.

"Why? What is wrong?"

"Something doesn't seem right, Ness," he replied.

"I have been learning to fight, Jake."

"What? Are you crazy? Why?" he yelled and I played dumb. "No, no, no, no, no. You are not going to-,"

"Yes, Jacob. I am going to. And nobody could change my mind."

"Nessie, you cannot. I won't allow you to do something like this. I am definitely going to get hurt, Nessie. We both know it. You can't go killing around vampires every time I get hurt," he said.

"I actually can, Jacob," I said sternly.

"Nessie, no. Think of the people you know- Charlie, Ina, Zoe, Emily, Kim- what would they think of you? You are not a monster, Nessie! Don't do this. You cannot kill people," he pleaded.

"I don't care, Jacob. You kill vampires too, but I don't think you are a monster. Nobody does."

"Nessie, please, I don't wanna see you get hurt. I love you, Ness," he said. I saw that his eyes have welled up.

"Jacob, I love you too. I will not get hurt. I can't sit around simply knowing that any vampire could hurt you any time. I just can't."

"Nessie," he called but I left the room, kissing him on the cheek.

"Dad, anything?" I asked him.

The pack had been keeping tabs on this vampire and he was still in Forks. Seth stood along with me and Dad. Dad was there to help me tell what was going on. Something to which he had not agreed till earlier this evening. "Renesmee, he is here. Jared his chasing him," Dad said and we began running with Seth leading us. I saw Jared chasing him but he was too fast for Jared to catch.

You messed with the wrong person, buddy, I thought and ran a little faster. "I'll take it from here, Jared," I yelled as I ran past him and he howled.

He had seen me and definitely smelled me because I could tell that my blood was driving me crazy. I jumped up and landed in front of him and just like Jasper said, he tried to wrap his arms around me, but I ducked down swiftly between his legs, taking his arms with me. I pulled them off his body and my body flooded with satisfaction as I heard a tearing sound. I jumped onto his shoulders and grabbed his neck. "I was supposed to go on a date with him, you moron. You ruined that," I hissed as I pulled his head away from his body. I lit the lighter and threw it at his body and saw him burn to death with my eyes gleaming with happiness. After we returned home, I went to Carlisle's office and sat on a corner hugging my knees to my chest. I did not respond to anything that my family asked me. Jacob was begging me to speak, but I didn't. My father and Jacob and Rosalie had a brief argument for a long time. Even then I stayed dumb.

I looked up when the sun was about to rise. I was left in the room with Jacob who was staring at me intently. Mom and Dad had left to the cottage because I couldn't smell them here, Alice and Jasper, Esme and Carlisle and Rosalie and Emmett were in their rooms. For the first time, since the crazy fight, everything seemed silent.

"Renesmee, I have to admit, I am pretty scared right now. Please tell me you are okay," Jacob said. I noticed that he was pained.

"I am okay, Jacob."

"Are you hurt?"

I looked at him. "No, I am not."

"Do you want to talk about it?" he asked with uncertainty.

I wasn't sure about it. "Could you please leave me with my head, Jake? I really need to think things through," I said to him, praying that he didn't find it harsh.

He sighed. "Sure."

I quickly went over to the night. Did I do the right thing? I asked myself.

I wasn't sure about that. I had to find the answer to that question. My human side was in war with my vampire side.

A) Jacob would have done the same for me.

B) The new born was a bad guy, obviously. I did not kill an innocent person.

C) I was not a little girl anymore. I was young woman. A half vampire, for crying out loud. This was who I am. Everybody in my family had killed somebody. For a good cause.

D) I did not regret it, clearly. Or I would have killed myself.

"Yes, I did the right thing," I said.

Jake blinked. "What?"

"Jacob, I don't regret it. I know I have done the right thing," I said and smiled.

He smiled. "You know what, this is the first time you are smiling since I, um—"

We grinned at each other. "Although I would really like it if it didn't come up," I said, 'it' being the incident. Jacob nodded and agreed.

I walked to him and sat on his bed. "Are you sure you can hold your breath for a minute?"

Jacob looked at me confused. "What? I don-"

I bent down and kissed him carefully, making sure that my body didn't touch his. He kissed me back which turned my body cold. I heard Dad and Mom in the main house and he cleared his throat.

"I love you, Jake."

"I love you too, Nessie."

"How long do you think it would take for you to get better?"

He thought for a second. "I don't know, honestly. Doc said that my bones had already grown. Well, to sum up, I don't know," he said and we both laughed. "Why though?"

"Esme has to renovate the cottage. Remember?" I asked with a mischievous grin.

He chuckled. "Yeah, I do remember." We stopped talking and my thoughts wandered off to the night again. Jacob gasped. "Oh my God, Renesmee! How did that happen? How did you do that?"

"What? What happened?" I wondered.

"You are showing me last night. How are you doing that? You are not even touching me!" his voice was filled with shock and he was nearly screaming. It even surprised me. My hands never touched any part of his body. Immediately, Carlisle and dad were by my side.

"What are you talking about, Jacob?" Mom asked him.

"She showed me last night, Bella. She wasn't touching me."

"No, she did not," Dad said.

"Of course, she did. Didn't you, Ness?" he questioned me.

"I did. But I only thought about it," I replied.

"No, you didn't. I would've heard you if you thought about it!" Dad reasoned with me.

"You didn't hear me?" I asked him with surprise.

"Could anybody tell me what the hell is going on here?" Jacob snapped at Dad. "Did you think about it?" he asked me.

"Yes, Jake."

"Then how did I hear it?" he asked again.

"I am wondering about the same thing," I responded, completely not sure of what was happening.

Jacob looked at Dad. "Edward, did you hear her thoughts?"

"No, Jacob," Dad answered sincerely.

"Can you hear Renesmee's thoughts now, son?" Carlisle asked Dad.

"No."

"Bella, are you shielding Nessie's thoughts?" Carlisle asked Mom.

"No, Carlisle. I am not shielding her."

"Nessie, you have to do as I say. Will you?" he asked me.

"Yes, Carlisle. What is it?"

"Can you think of something now? Something except that incident."

I thought of the first time I climbed a tree with Jacob. "I did, Carlisle."

"Edward, did you hear her thoughts?"

"No, Carlisle. I am not getting anything," Dad looked worried.

"Now, Nessie, listen to me carefully. I want you to think of something, specifically, that you father needs to hear."

I thought of the moment my father first took me in his arms. "I did, Carlisle."

"Edward, did you hear her thoughts?"

Dad's eyes lit up. "Yes, yes. I heard her." He looked at me and smiled warmly.

"She has developed her gift, Edward. She could put thoughts in people's head without touching them. Also, only she decides who can hear it," Carlisle said and I grinned. Well, that sounds interesting.

Jacob, isn't that great? I put the thoughts inside Jacob's head and he grinned.

"Lose the grin, mutt. I could hear it from your head," Dad snapped and we laughed.

"Renesmee, I would like you to try your gift on everyone in the family and the pack too. And as I say, use your gift wisely."

Sure, Carlisle, I put the thought inside his head and he chuckled.

Mom, I am sure Dad is gonna be pissed about this, I said to Mom and she giggled and nodded.

It is already eight in the morning, guys. It would be really nice if you would get out of your rooms, I said sarcastically to Alice, Jasper, Rose and Emmett.

"Good morning, Nessie," Esme said as she came down the stairs.

Morning, Esme, I said back and she smiled. "Done," I said to Carlisle and he nodded.

Wow! This is great, I thought to myself and grinned mischievously.

AN: Hey, guys!

Wow, Nessie, the killer, has avenged Jake's injury. Oooooo and they get to spend one week together...gooooood! And Nessie has developed her gifts! How cool is that?! Emmett! I just love him so much. Isnt he a sweetheart?
