"Link, 3 people are approaching." I sprang into action. Lozen wasn't disturbed at all when I stepped out of the cave. Leaping into a nearby tree, I started surveillance.
"Which direction Midna?"
"From the west, they're much faster than normal monsters; be ready."
"... It's fine Midna." I had leapt down and they saw me instantly. 3 from the Sheikah tribe stood before me, nary a sound announced their presence.
"Link, we have orders from Zelda."
"..." They handed me the parchment, and left, leaving nothing but dust and leaves in their wake. I unrolled the parchment and read the paper.
"The last camp was taken care of last night. You and your parties new orders are to go to ordon village and find a way to clear out the twilight for the village."
I visibly sighed, Zelda is still too insecure about compromise. I walked back into the cave, and sat on the bed. Lozen slept soundly. I put my palm against Lozens cheek, waking her up instantly. Lozen sighed contently into my hand, and gave a grunt, wanting more sleep.
"That won't do, we have new orders my love." Another whine ment she was up. Lozen stretched her arms up a bit and wrapped them around my torso. While her chin rested on my shoulder she said,
"What are they?" I handed the paper to her.
"Hmm… This could be tricky. I don't even know if I can enter the twilight. But you and Midna won't have a problem."
"You could, but you'd either be devowered by shadow beings or become a spirit. There isn't a normal way for regular people to enter at all. I think my heritage is the only reason I can rest easy in such a place." I held up my left hand, and showed Lozen the mark of the hero.
"I was told my dad was born with this mark, but it only appeared when I was forced into the Twilight."
"It wasn't just because you were Link's son." Midna rose from my shadow and sat on a char opposite from us.
"You have to have the spirit and courage to stand up for what was right, to the bitter end if need be." Memories of what happened in Ordon flashed back through me.
"Hahaha… Just a boy this time? He has no idea." Ganondorf stood before me. Black armour covering every inch of his form. No cracks or weak points to be seen.
"I won't fight a weakling. Enjoy this boy." I charged him with a yell, and he raised his hand. Then nothing."
"Link!" I snapped back to the present.
"Don't worry about what happened then. We can fix it now." I leaned back into Lozen.
"I know, but we can fix it now." I felt so weak back then, unable to stop that mad man from doing that to my friends. Anger flashed through me, but I calmed myself. Zelda always said,
"You will have times of rage, and sorrow, but remember. If you have to use those emotions to fight you have to do it the right way. Always remain in control. Don't be a fiery rage of wrath and confusion, but a sea of control, and understanding. I don't expect you to grow past wrath the first time it hits you, but when it does, just remember. You have many people next to you, ready to be there at your side at a moment's notice. Don't ever feel alone in this world."
Lozen planted a small kiss on my cheek, and released me from her embrace. I stood and started to gather all of my equipment.
"I know you've been wanting to go back all this time Link, but you controlled yourself. It takes a strong man to do that. Now let's get going." I turned to Midna and gave her a small smile. Midna disappeared into my shadow, while I took the last of our possessions into my pack. Getting outside, I got the entrance to our home from home sealed off from any monsters and roaming eyes. Lozen was ready by this point, and was saddling up Dignus outside. We finished up with the saddle, and I hopped onto it. I pulled up Lozen, and she wrapped her arms around my torso. I spurred Dignus, and we began our ride to the southern part of Hyrule.
